Ay musalmaan kaash socha hota

Keeping screen awake…
Oh Muslims, I wish you had considered that this is the grandson of Muhammad (pbuh)...
He is in a state of prostration, helpless and compelled, and he has been thirsty for many days!
boli zainab zulam shabbir peh dhanay waalo
patharon kay talay mayyat ko chupanay waalo
haye kaanday peh uthathey tay jinhay khatmay rasool
meray us bhai ka laasha hai yeh.
Zaynab (as) cried out, "Oh you who inflicted cruelty upon Husayn (as)
Oh you who hid his body under stones
Alas, whom the Seal of Prophets [Muhammad (pbuh)] used to carry on his shoulders
This is the body of my brother!
Whose Ghazi [Abbas (as)] was no more, and Ali Akbar (as) did not survive…
Whom they did not allow to cry freely over the body of her brother!
The mourning we do today in the bazaar of Shaam…
This is Zaynab's (as) solace!
Why have you set fire to the home of the Prophet's family], again and again?
Why have you paraded the ladies [of the Ahlul Bayt] in the marketplace?
You didn't even consider that those who became captives…
Are the precious legacy of pure Fatima Zahra (as)!
I am Zaynab (as)! Why do you mistake me for Ali (as)?
Hearing my sermon, why does the accursed one [Yazeed] lose his composure?
Zaynab (as) said, "Do not merely listen to this sermon, oh Yazeed!
This is the essence of the pure Quran!"
saaniy-e-zahra ki akhtar yeh ataa hai tujhko
noha likhnay ke liye dard mila hay tujh ko
teray alfaz mai hai fatima zahra ki dua
tera andaaz judasa hai yeh.
Akhtar, this is a gift bestowed upon you by the second Zahra [Zaynab (as)]!
You have been given this pain [of grief] to write poetry
In your words lies the prayer of Fatima Zahra (as)
Your style is indeed unique
