Mola Haq Imam

added by M

Keeping screen awake…

maula haq imam ya hassan ya hussain

O Master, the rightful Imams, O Hassan (as), O Husayn (as)!

wo abide bemaar tha chalne se jo lachaar tha

aur shaam ka bazaar tha aur mustufa ki betiyan

maula haq imam…

There was that ailing Sajjad (as), who was unable to walk…

And there was the marketplace of Shaam, where the daughters of the Prophet Mustafa (pbuh) were present.

O Master, the rightful Imams, O Hassan (as), O Husayn (as)!

shabbir ki wo laadli seene pe wo shah ke pali

jiski aba ban mein jali moo pe tamachon ke nishan

maula haq imam…

Husayn's (as) beloved daughter, who grew up cradled on her father's (as) chest…

Whose cloak was burned in the wilderness, and whose face bore the marks of slaps.

O Master, the rightful Imams, O Hassan (as), O Husayn (as)!

pyase galay khanjar chale chadar chini qaime jale

abbas ke parcham talay rokar kahe ye bibiyan

maula haq imam…

Thirsty throats were cut by daggers, head coverings were snatched, and tents were burned.

Under Abbas's (as) flag, the ladies cried out, saying…

O Master, the rightful Imams, O Hassan (as), O Husayn (as)!

ro kar kahe qasim ki maa maara gaya qasim jawan

ay laal mai dhoondu kahan mehendi teri sehra tera

maula haq imam…

Qasim's (as) mother cried out, saying, "My young Qasim (as) has been killed!"

"O my beloved son, where can I find your henna and your bridal wreath?"

O Master, the rightful Imams, O Hassan (as), O Husayn (as)!

wo asghar e baysheer tha aur hurmala ka teer tha

pyasa gala kyunkar kata larzi zameen aur aasmaan

maula haq imam…

There was Ali Asghar (as), the suckling infant, and Hurmala's arrow.

How could such a thirsty throat be cut? The earth and sky trembled!

O Master, the rightful Imams, O Hassan (as), O Husayn (as)!

shaam e ghariban cha gayi abid ko ghairat aagayi

pehre pe zainab aagayi abbas aur akbar kahan

maula haq imam…

The eve of desolation descended, and Sajjad (as) was overcome with protective zeal.

Zaynab (as) came to stand guard… "Where are Abbas (as) and Ali Akbar (as)?"

O Master, the rightful Imams, O Hassan (as), O Husayn (as)!

wo zainab o kulsooom thi chadar se jo mehroom thi

na mehramon ke darmiyan aur murtaza ki betiyan

maula haq imam…

There were Zaynab (as) and Kulsoom (as), who were deprived of their head coverings.

Among strangers, were the daughters of Ali Murtaza (as).

O Master, the rightful Imams, O Hassan (as), O Husayn (as)!

wo bawafa abbas tha dukhiya dilon ki aas tha

pani mila par na piya pyasi rahi shehzadiyan

maula haq imam…

There was the loyal Abbas (as), the hope of sorrowful hearts.

He found water but did not drink it; the princesses remained thirsty.

O Master, the rightful Imams, O Hassan (as), O Husayn (as)!
