nazar se dekh aayega, nazar hussain aik hai, mera hussain aik hai
sada khula hai jis ka dar, woh dar hussain aik hai.
When you truly see with understanding, you'll find that Husayn (as) is one of a kind; my Husayn (as) is truly unique!
The door that is always open, that door of Husayn (as) is truly unique.
muhammad in mein chaar hain, ali bhi in mein chaar hain
hassan bhi in mein do banay jo deen ka waqar hai
yeh baar baar sab bane, magar hussain aik hai, mera hussain aik hai
Among them [the Imams] are four named Muhammad, and there are also four named Ali
And there are two Hassans among them, who are the dignity of our faith.
All of these names were repeated again and again, but Husayn (as) is one of a kind! My Husayn (as) is unique!
bazaar mai binte-ali deti thi sadaa bhai abbas kahaan ho
sar par bhi nahi chaadar x 2 laakhon hai tamashaai

In the marketplace, the daughter of Ali, Zaynab (as), was crying out, "My brother Abbas (as), where are you?"
There's not even a veil on my head… and millions are watching this spectacle
Abbas (as), where are you?
is aalam-e-ghurbat mai koi bhi nahi meraa,
hai khaake safar sar par aur haath rasan bastaa,
pardes mai zainab ko taqdeer kahaan laayi
abbas kahaan ho
In this state of utter helplessness, I have no one left by my side
The dust of this journey covers my head, and my hands are bound by ropes.
To what foreign land has destiny brought Zaynab (as)
Abbas (as), where are you?
paivast hai neze mai sar shaahe shahidaan ka,
yeh dekh ke ai ghaazi phat-taa hai mera sina,
marjaaegi is gham mai, shabbir ki majaayee
abbas kahaan ho
The head of the King of Martyrs Husayn (as), is fixed upon a spear;
Seeing this, oh my warrior Abbas (as), my chest feels as if it will burst!
Husayn's sister will surely die from this grief!

dariyaa ke kanaare tum aadaa se gaye larne,
sab dekh rahi thi mai darvaaza-e-khaima se,
ab jung hamaari bhi dekho to zaraa bhai
abbas kahaan ho
You went to fight the enemies on the bank of the river
I was watching everything unfold from the door of my tent.
Now, just look at our battle too, my brother!
Abbas (as), where are you?
duniyo ka sahara hai baba jo hamaraa hai,
mushkil mai magar maine tumko hi pukaara hai,
ab dhundhti hai tumko bhayya meri binaai
abbas kahaan ho
Our father Husayn (as) is the one in whom the world seeks refuge
But in this hardship, I have only called out to you, Abbas!
Now, brother, my sight searches desperately for you...

be munis-o-yawar hai batlaawo kidhar jaaye,
is tarha to jine se behtar hai ke marjaaye,
fariyaad kare kisse hoti nahi sunwaayi
abbas kahaan ho
Without a friend or helper, tell me, where can I go?
To live like this, it is better to die!
To whom can I plead? There is no one who will listen to my cries...
Abbas (as), where are you!
ai sher yehi meri imdaad ko aajaao
maanga hai kanizi mai zaalim ne sakina ko
hai waqt qayamat ka maasum hai ghabraayi
abbas kahaan ho
