Sawaal tha ke kya Husayn hai

sawaal tha ke kya husayn (as) hai

jawaab ishq ne diya koi na jo samajh saka

woh dil ka maamla husayn (as) hai!

The question was, "Who is Husayn (as)?"

Love gave an answer that no one could fully grasp…

Indeed, Husayn (as) is a matter of the heart!

ali ka noor-e-ayn hai

batool ka yeh chen hai

namaaz mein rasool ki

hussain hi hussain hai

ab is se barhke aur kya

bataye koi martaba

khuda ka raabta hussain hai

He is the light of Ali's (as) eyes

He is the peace of Fatima's (as) heart!

In the Prophet's (pbuh) prayers…

It was only Husayn (as) [upon on his back]!

What more could there be, beyond this…

For anyone to describe his status?

Husayn (as) truly is our connection to God!

yeh chaahatein ho tum agar

ataon ki woh had karein,

koi dua na rad karein

khuda teri madad karein

zehen nasheen kar abhi

khuda se bolde yehi

"mera bhi waasta hussain hai"

If you desire these things:

that Allah (swt) give you without limit,

leave no prayer of yours turned away,

and for God himself to come to your aid --

Then clear your heart of everything else

And whisper to God only this:

"I make my plea to you through your love for Husayn (as)!"
