بِسْمِ
-
22:1
يَ
ٰٓ أَيُّهَاٱ ل نّ َاسُٱ تَّقُوا۟ رَبَّكُمْ ۚ إِنّ َ زَلْزَلَةَٱ ل سَّاعَةِ شَىْءٌ عَظِي مٌۭ ١Ya ayyuha annasuittaqoo rabbakum inna zalzalata assaAAati shay-onAAatheem
O mankind! Be wary of your Lord! Indeed the quake of the Hour is a terrible thing.Ali Quli Qarai
O mankind, fear your Lord. Indeed, the convulsion of the [final] Hour is a terrible thing.Saheeh International

22:2
يَوْمَ تَرَوْنَهَا تَذْهَلُ كُلُّ مُرْضِعَةٍ عَ
مّ َآ أَرْضَعَتْ وَتَضَعُ كُلُّ ذَاتِ حَمْلٍ حَمْلَهَا وَتَرَىٱ ل نّ َاسَ سُكَٰ رَىٰ وَمَا هُم ب ِسُكَٰ رَىٰ وَلَٰ كِنّ َ عَذَابَٱ للَّهِ شَدِي د ٌۭ ٢Yawma tarawnaha tathhalu kullumurdiAAatin AAamma ardaAAat watadaAAukullu thati hamlin hamlaha wataraannasa sukara wama hum bisukarawalakinna AAathaba Allahi shadeed
The day that you will see it, every suckling female will be unmindful what she suckled, and every pregnant female will deliver her burden, and you will see the people drunk, yet they will not be drunken, but Allah’s punishment is severe.Ali Quli Qarai
On the Day you see it every nursing mother will be distracted from that [child] she was nursing, and every pregnant woman will abort her pregnancy, and you will see the people [appearing] intoxicated while they are not intoxicated; but the punishment of Allāh is severe.Saheeh International

22:3
وَمِنَ
ٱ ل نّ َاسِ مَن ي ُجَٰ دِلُ فِىٱ للَّهِ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ ۢو َيَتَّبِعُ كُلَّ شَيْطَٰ نٍ ۢم َّرِي د ٍۢ ٣Wamina annasi man yujadilufee Allahi bighayri AAilmin wayattabiAAu kulla shaytaninmareed
Among the people are those who dispute about Allah without any knowledge, and follow every froward devil,Ali Quli Qarai
And of the people is he who disputes about Allāh without knowledge and follows every rebellious devil.Saheeh International

22:4
كُتِبَ عَلَيْهِ أَ
نّ َهُۥ مَن ت َوَلَّاهُ فَأَنّ َهُۥ يُضِلُّهُۥ وَيَهْدِيهِ إِلَىٰ عَذَابِٱ ل سَّعِي رِ ٤Kutiba AAalayhi annahu man tawallahufaannahu yudilluhu wayahdeehi ila AAathabi assaAAeer
about whom it has been decreed that he will mislead those who take him for an ally, and conduct them toward the punishment of the Blaze.Ali Quli Qarai
It has been decreed for him [i.e., every devil] that whoever turns to him - he will misguide him and will lead him to the punishment of the Blaze.Saheeh International

22:5
يَ
ٰٓ أَيُّهَاٱ ل نّ َاسُ إِن ك ُنت ُمْ فِى رَيْبٍ ۢم ِّنَٱ لْبَعْثِ فَإِنّ َا خَلَقْ نَٰ كُم م ِّن ت ُرَابٍ ۢث ُمّ َ مِن ن ُّطْ فَةٍ ۢث ُمّ َ مِنْ عَلَقَةٍ ۢث ُمّ َ مِن م ُّضْغَةٍ ۢم ُّخَلَّقَةٍ ۢو َغَيْرِ مُخَلَّقَةٍ ۢل ِّنُبَيِّنَ لَكُمْ ۚ وَنُقِرُّ فِىٱ لْأَرْحَامِ مَا نَشَا ٓءُ إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٍ ۢم ُّسَمًّ ۭى ث ُمّ َ نُخْرِجُكُمْ طِفْلً ۭاث ُمّ َ لِتَبْ لُغُوٓ ا۟ أَشُدَّكُمْ ۖ وَمِنك ُم م َّن ي ُتَوَفَّىٰ وَمِنك ُم م َّن ي ُرَدُّ إِلَىٰٓ أَرْذَلِٱ لْعُمُرِ لِكَيْلَا يَعْلَمَ مِنۢ ب َعْدِ عِلْمٍ ۢش َئًْ ۭا ۚ و َتَرَىٱ لْأَرْضَ هَامِدَةً ۭف َإِذَآ أَنز َلْنَا عَلَيْهَاٱ لْمَا ٓءَٱ هْتَزَّتْ وَرَبَتْ وَأَنۢب َتَتْ مِن ك ُلِّ زَوْجٍۭ ب َهِي ج ٍۢ ٥Ya ayyuha annasuin kuntum fee raybin mina albaAAthi fa-inna khalaqnakummin turabin thumma min nutfatin thumma minAAalaqatin thumma min mudghatin mukhallaqatin waghayrimukhallaqatin linubayyina lakum wanuqirru fee al-arhami manashao ila ajalin musamman thumma nukhrijukum tiflanthumma litablughoo ashuddakum waminkum man yutawaffawaminkum man yuraddu ila arthali alAAumuri likaylayaAAlama min baAAdi AAilmin shay-an watara al-ardahamidatan fa-itha anzalna AAalayhaalmaa ihtazzat warabat waanbatat min kulli zawjin baheej
O people! If you are in doubt about the resurrection, [consider that] We created you from dust, then from a drop of [seminal] fluid, then from a clinging mass, then from a fleshy tissue, partly formed and partly unformed, so that We may manifest [Our power] to you. We lodge in the wombs whatever [fetus] We wish for a specified term, then We bring you forth as infants, then [We rear you] so that you may come of age. [Then] there are some of you who are taken away, and there are some of you who are relegated to the nethermost age, such that he knows nothing after [having possessed] some knowledge. And you see the earth torpid, yet when We send down water upon it, it stirs and swells, and grows every delightful kind [of plant].Ali Quli Qarai
O people, if you should be in doubt about the Resurrection, then [consider that] indeed, We created you from dust, then from a sperm-drop, then from a clinging clot, and then from a lump of flesh, formed and unformed - that We may show you. And We settle in the wombs whom We will for a specified term, then We bring you out as a child, and then [We develop you] that you may reach your [time of] maturity. And among you is he who is taken in [early] death, and among you is he who is returned to the most decrepit [old] age so that he knows, after [once having] knowledge, nothing. And you see the earth barren, but when We send down upon it rain, it quivers and swells and grows [something] of every beautiful kind.Saheeh International

22:6
ذَ
ٰ لِكَ بِأَنّ َٱ للَّهَ هُوَٱ لْحَقُّ وَأَنّ َهُۥ يُحْىِٱ لْمَوْتَىٰ وَأَنّ َهُۥ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ ۢق َدِي رٌۭ ٦Thalika bi-anna Allaha huwa alhaqquwaannahu yuhyee almawta waannahu AAala kullishay-in qadeer
All that is because Allah is the Reality and it is He who revives the dead, and He has power over all things,Ali Quli Qarai
That is because Allāh is the True Reality and because He gives life to the dead and because He is over all things competentSaheeh International
-
22:7
وَأَ
نّ َٱ ل سَّاعَةَ ءَاتِيَةٌ ۭل َّا رَيْبَ فِيهَا وَأَنّ َٱ للَّهَ يَبْ عَثُ مَن ف ِىٱ لْقُبُو رِ ٧Waanna assaAAata atiyatunla rayba feeha waanna Allaha yabAAathu manfee alquboor
and because the Hour is bound to come, there is no doubt in it, and Allah will resurrect those who are in the graves.Ali Quli Qarai
And [that they may know] that the Hour is coming - no doubt about it - and that Allāh will resurrect those in the graves.Saheeh International

22:8
وَمِنَ
ٱ ل نّ َاسِ مَن ي ُجَٰ دِلُ فِىٱ للَّهِ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ ۢو َلَا هُدً ۭى و َلَا كِتَٰ بٍ ۢم ُّنِي رٍۢ ٨Wamina annasi man yujadilufee Allahi bighayri AAilmin wala hudan walakitabin muneer
Among the people are those who dispute concerning Allah without any knowledge or guidance, or an enlightening Book,Ali Quli Qarai
And of the people is he who disputes about Allāh without knowledge or guidance or an enlightening book [from Him],Saheeh International
-
22:9
ثَانِىَ عِ
طْ فِهِۦ لِيُضِلَّ عَن س َبِيلِٱ للَّهِ ۖ لَهُۥ فِىٱ ل دُّنْيَا خِزْىٌ ۭۖ و َنُذِيقُهُۥ يَوْمَٱ لْقِيَٰ مَةِ عَذَابَٱ لْحَرِي ق ِ ٩Thaniya AAitfihi liyudillaAAan sabeeli Allahi lahu fee addunyakhizyun wanutheequhu yawma alqiyamati AAathabaalhareeq
turning aside disdainfully to lead [others] astray from the way of Allah. For such there is disgrace in this world, and on the Day of Resurrection We will make him taste the punishment of the burning:Ali Quli Qarai
Twisting his neck [in arrogance] to mislead [people] from the way of Allāh. For him in the world is disgrace, and We will make him taste on the Day of Resurrection the punishment of the Burning Fire [while it is said],Saheeh International

22:10
ذَ
ٰ لِكَ بِمَا قَدَّمَتْ يَدَاكَ وَأَنّ َٱ للَّهَ لَيْسَ بِظَلَّٰ مٍ ۢل ِّلْعَبِي د ِ ١٠Thalika bima qaddamat yadakawaanna Allaha laysa bithallaminlilAAabeed
‘That is because of what your hands have sent ahead, and because Allah is not tyrannical to the servants.’Ali Quli Qarai
"That is for what your hands have put forth and because Allāh is not ever unjust to [His] servants."Saheeh International
-
22:11
وَمِنَ
ٱ ل نّ َاسِ مَن ي َعْبُدُٱ للَّهَ عَلَىٰ حَرْفٍ ۢۖ ف َإِنْ أَصَابَهُۥ خَيْرٌٱ طْ مَأَنّ َ بِهِۦ ۖ وَإِنْ أَصَابَتْهُ فِتْنَةٌٱ نق َلَبَ عَلَىٰ وَجْ هِهِۦ خَسِرَٱ ل دُّنْيَا وَٱ لَْٔاخِرَةَ ۚ ذَٰ لِكَ هُوَٱ لْخُسْرَانُٱ لْمُبِي نُ ١١Wamina annasi man yaAAbuduAllaha AAala harfin fa-in asabahukhayrun itmaanna bihi wa-in asabat-hu fitnatuninqalaba AAala wajhihi khasira addunya wal-akhiratathalika huwa alkhusranu almubeen
And among the people are those who worship Allah on the [very] fringe: if good fortune befalls him, he is content with it; but if an ordeal visits him he makes a turnabout, to become a loser in the world and the Hereafter. That is manifest loss.Ali Quli Qarai
And of the people is he who worships Allāh on an edge. If he is touched by good, he is reassured by it; but if he is struck by trial, he turns on his face [to unbelief]. He has lost [this] world and the Hereafter. That is what is the manifest loss.Saheeh International

22:12
يَ
دْ عُوا۟ مِن د ُونِٱ للَّهِ مَا لَا يَضُرُّهُۥ وَمَا لَا يَنف َعُهُۥ ۚ ذَٰ لِكَ هُوَٱ ل ضَّلَٰ لُٱ لْبَعِي د ُ ١٢YadAAoo min dooni Allahi ma layadurruhu wama la yanfaAAuhu thalikahuwa addalalu albaAAeed
He invokes besides Allah that which can bring him neither benefit nor harm. That is extreme error.Ali Quli Qarai
He invokes instead of Allāh that which neither harms him nor benefits him. That is what is the extreme error.Saheeh International

22:13
يَ
دْ عُوا۟ لَمَن ض َرُّهُۥٓ أَقْ رَبُ مِن ن َّفْعِهِۦ ۚ لَبِئْسَٱ لْمَوْلَىٰ وَلَبِئْسَٱ لْعَشِي رُ ١٣YadAAoo laman darruhu aqrabu minnafAAihi labi/sa almawla walabi/sa alAAasheer
He invokes someone whose harm is surely likelier than his benefit. An evil ally indeed, and an evil companion!Ali Quli Qarai
He invokes one whose harm is closer than his benefit - how wretched the protector and how wretched the associate.Saheeh International

22:14
إِ
نّ َٱ للَّهَ يُدْ خِلُٱ لَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱ ل صَّٰ لِحَٰ تِ جَنّ َٰ تٍ ۢت َجْ رِى مِن ت َحْتِهَاٱ لْأَنْهَٰ رُ ۚ إِنّ َٱ للَّهَ يَفْعَلُ مَا يُرِي د ُ ١٤Inna Allaha yudkhilu allatheenaamanoo waAAamiloo assalihati jannatintajree min tahtiha al-anharu inna AllahayafAAalu ma yureed
Allah will indeed admit those who have faith and do righteous deeds into gardens with streams running in them. Indeed Allah does whatever He desires.Ali Quli Qarai
Indeed, Allāh will admit those who believe and do righteous deeds to gardens beneath which rivers flow. Indeed, Allāh does what He intends.Saheeh International

22:15
مَ
ن ك َانَ يَظُنّ ُ أَن ل َّن ي َنص ُرَهُٱ للَّهُ فِىٱ ل دُّنْيَا وَٱ لَْٔاخِرَةِ فَلْيَمْدُدْ بِسَبَبٍ إِلَىٱ ل سَّمَا ٓءِ ثُمّ َ لْيَقْ طَعْ فَلْيَنظ ُرْ هَلْ يُذْهِبَنّ َ كَيْدُهُۥ مَا يَغِي ظُ ١٥Man kana yathunnu anlan yansurahu Allahu fee addunya wal-akhiratifalyamdud bisababin ila assama-i thummaliyaqtaAA falyanthur hal yuthhibannakayduhu ma yagheeth
Whoever thinks that Allah will not help him in this world and the Hereafter, let him stretch a rope to the ceiling and hang himself, and see if his artifice would remove his rage.Ali Quli Qarai
Whoever should think that Allāh will not support him [i.e., Prophet Muḥammad (ﷺ)] in this world and the Hereafter - let him extend a rope to the ceiling, then cut off [his breath], and let him see: will his effort remove that which enrages [him]?Saheeh International

22:16
وَكَذَ
ٰ لِكَ أَنز َلْنَٰ هُ ءَايَٰ تٍۭ ب َيِّنَٰ تٍ ۢو َأَنّ َٱ للَّهَ يَهْدِى مَن ي ُرِي د ُ ١٦Wakathalika anzalnahu ayatinbayyinatin waanna Allaha yahdee man yureed
Thus have We sent it down as manifest signs, and indeed Allah guides whomever He desires.Ali Quli Qarai
And thus have We sent it [i.e., the Qur’ān] down as verses of clear evidence and because Allāh guides whom He intends.Saheeh International
-
22:17
إِ
نّ َٱ لَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَٱ لَّذِينَ هَادُوا۟ وَٱ ل صَّٰ بِِٔينَ وَٱ ل نّ َصَٰ رَىٰ وَٱ لْمَجُوسَ وَٱ لَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُوٓ ا۟ إِنّ َٱ للَّهَ يَفْصِلُ بَيْنَهُمْ يَوْمَٱ لْقِيَٰ مَةِ ۚ إِنّ َٱ للَّهَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ ۢش َهِي د ٌ ١٧Inna allatheena amanoo wallatheenahadoo wassabi-eena wannasarawalmajoosa wallatheena ashrakoo inna Allahayafsilu baynahum yawma alqiyamati inna AllahaAAala kulli shay-in shaheed
Indeed Allah will indeed judge between the faithful, the Jews, the Sabaeans, the Christians, the Magians and the polytheists on the Day of Resurrection. Indeed Allah is witness to all things.Ali Quli Qarai
Indeed, those who have believed and those who were Jews and the Sabeans and the Christians and the Magians and those who associated with Allāh - Allāh will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection. Indeed Allāh is, over all things, Witness.Saheeh International

22:18
أَلَمْ تَرَ أَ
نّ َٱ للَّهَ يَسْجُدُ لَهُۥ مَن ف ِىٱ ل سَّمَٰ وَٰ تِ وَمَن ف ِىٱ لْأَرْضِ وَٱ ل شَّمْسُ وَٱ لْقَمَرُ وَٱ ل نّ ُجُومُ وَٱ لْجِبَالُ وَٱ ل شَّجَرُ وَٱ ل دَّوَا ٓبُّ وَكَثِيرٌ ۭم ِّنَٱ ل نّ َاسِ ۖ وَكَثِيرٌ حَقَّ عَلَيْهِٱ لْعَذَابُ ۗ وَمَن ي ُهِنِٱ للَّهُ فَمَا لَهُۥ مِن م ُّكْرِمٍ ۚ إِنّ َٱ للَّهَ يَفْعَلُ مَا يَشَا ٓءُ ۩ ١٨Alam tara anna Allaha yasjudu lahuman fee assamawati waman fee al-ardiwashshamsu walqamaru wannujoomu waljibaluwashshajaru waddawabbu wakatheerun minaannasi wakatheerun haqqa AAalayhi alAAathabuwaman yuhini Allahu fama lahu min mukrimin inna AllahayafAAalu ma yasha/
Have you not regarded that whoever is in the heavens and whoever is on the earth prostrates to Allah, as well as the sun, the moon, and the stars, the mountains, the trees, and the animals and many humans? And many have come to deserve the punishment. Whomever Allah humiliates will find no one who may bring him honour. Indeed Allah does whatever He wishes.Ali Quli Qarai
Do you not see [i.e., know] that to Allāh prostrates whoever is in the heavens and whoever is on the earth and the sun, the moon, the stars, the mountains, the trees, the moving creatures and many of the people? But upon many the punishment has been justified. And he whom Allāh humiliates - for him there is no bestower of honor. Indeed, Allāh does what He wills.Saheeh International

22:19
۞ هَ
ٰ ذَانِ خَصْمَانِٱ خْتَصَمُوا۟ فِى رَبِّهِمْ ۖ فَٱ لَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ قُطِّعَتْ لَهُمْ ثِيَابٌ ۭم ِّن ن َّارٍ ۢي ُصَبُّ مِن ف َوْقِ رُءُوسِهِمُٱ لْحَمِي مُ ١٩Hathani khasmani ikhtasamoofee rabbihim fallatheena kafaroo quttiAAatlahum thiyabun min narin yusabbu min fawqiruoosihimu alhameem
These two contending groups contend concerning their Lord. As for those who are faithless, cloaks of fire will be cut out for them, and boiling water will be poured over their heads,Ali Quli Qarai
These are two adversaries who have disputed over their Lord. But those who disbelieved will have cut out for them garments of fire. Poured upon their heads will be scalding waterSaheeh International
-
22:20
يُصْهَرُ بِه
ِۦ مَا فِى بُطُونِهِمْ وَٱ لْجُلُو د ُ ٢٠Yusharu bihi ma fee butoonihimwaljulood
with which their skins and entrails will fuse,Ali Quli Qarai
By which is melted that within their bellies and [their] skins.Saheeh International
-
22:21
وَلَه
ُم م َّقَٰ مِعُ مِنْ حَدِي د ٍۢ ٢١Walahum maqamiAAu min hadeed
and there will be clubs of iron for them.Ali Quli Qarai
And for [striking] them are maces of iron.Saheeh International
-
22:22
كُلَّم
َآ أَرَادُوٓ ا۟ أَن ي َخْرُجُوا۟ مِنْهَا مِنْ غَمّ ٍ أُعِيدُوا۟ فِيهَا وَذُوقُوا۟ عَذَابَٱ لْحَرِي ق ِ ٢٢Kullama aradoo an yakhrujoominha min ghammin oAAeedoo feeha wathooqooAAathaba alhareeq
Whenever they desire to leave it out of anguish, they will be turned back into it [and told]: ‘Taste the punishment of the burning!’Ali Quli Qarai
Every time they want to get out of it [i.e., Hellfire] from anguish, they will be returned to it, and [it will be said], "Taste the punishment of the Burning Fire!"Saheeh International

22:23
إِ
نّ َٱ للَّهَ يُدْ خِلُٱ لَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱ ل صَّٰ لِحَٰ تِ جَنّ َٰ تٍ ۢت َجْ رِى مِن ت َحْتِهَاٱ لْأَنْهَٰ رُ يُحَلَّوْنَ فِيهَا مِنْ أَسَاوِرَ مِن ذ َهَبٍ ۢو َلُؤْلُؤً ۭا ۖ و َلِبَاسُهُمْ فِيهَا حَرِي رٌۭ ٢٣Inna Allaha yudkhilu allatheenaamanoo waAAamiloo assalihati jannatintajree min tahtiha al-anharu yuhallawnafeeha min asawira min thahabin walu/lu-anwalibasuhum feeha hareer
Indeed Allah will admit those who have faith and do righteous deeds into gardens with streams running in them, adorned therein with bracelets of gold and pearl, and their dress therein will be silk.Ali Quli Qarai
Indeed, Allāh will admit those who believe and do righteous deeds to gardens beneath which rivers flow. They will be adorned therein with bracelets of gold and pearl, and their garments therein will be silk.Saheeh International
-
22:24
وَهُد
ُوٓ ا۟ إِلَىٱ ل طَّيِّبِ مِنَٱ لْقَوْلِ وَهُدُوٓ ا۟ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰ طِٱ لْحَمِي د ِ ٢٤Wahudoo ila attayyibimina alqawli wahudoo ila sirati alhameed
They were guided to chaste belief, and guided to the path of the All-laudable.Ali Quli Qarai
And they had been guided [in worldly life] to good speech, and they were guided to the path of the Praiseworthy.Saheeh International

22:25
إِ
نّ َٱ لَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ وَيَصُدُّونَ عَن س َبِيلِٱ للَّهِ وَٱ لْمَسْجِدِٱ لْحَرَامِٱ لَّذِى جَعَلْنَٰ هُ لِلنّ َاسِ سَوَا ٓءًٱ لْعَٰ كِفُ فِيهِ وَٱ لْبَادِ ۚ وَمَن ي ُرِدْ فِيهِ بِإِلْحَادٍۭ ب ِظُلْمٍ ۢن ُّذِقْ هُ مِنْ عَذَابٍ أَلِي مٍۢ ٢٥Inna allatheena kafaroo wayasuddoonaAAan sabeeli Allahi walmasjidi alharamiallathee jaAAalnahu linnasi sawaanalAAakifu feehi walbadi waman yurid feehibi-ilhadin bithulmin nuthiqhu min AAathabinaleem
Indeed those who are faithless and bar from the way of Allah and the Sacred Mosque, which We have made for all people, the native and the visitor being equal therein—whoever wrongfully tries to commit violation in it, We shall make him taste a painful punishment.Ali Quli Qarai
Indeed, those who have disbelieved and avert [people] from the way of Allāh and [from] al-Masjid al-Ḥarām, which We made for the people - equal are the resident therein and one from outside - and [also] whoever intends [a deed] therein of deviation [in religion] by wrongdoing - We will make him taste of a painful punishment.Saheeh International

22:26
وَإِذْ بَوَّأْنَا لِإِ
بْ رَٰ هِيمَ مَكَانَٱ لْبَيْتِ أَن ل َّا تُشْرِكْ بِى شَئًْ ۭا و َطَهِّرْ بَيْتِىَ لِلطَّا ٓئِفِينَ وَٱ لْقَا ٓئِمِينَ وَٱ ل رُّكَّعِٱ ل سُّجُو د ِ ٢٦Wa-ith bawwa/na li-ibraheemamakana albayti an la tushrik bee shay-an watahhirbaytiya litta-ifeena walqa-imeenawarrukkaAAi assujood
When We settled for Abraham the site of the House [saying], Do not ascribe any partners to Me, and purify My House for those who circle around it, and those who stand [in it for prayer], and those who bow and prostrate themselves.Ali Quli Qarai
And [mention, O Muḥammad], when We designated for Abraham the site of the House, [saying], "Do not associate anything with Me and purify My House for those who perform ṭawāf and those who stand [in prayer] and those who bow and prostrate.Saheeh International
-
22:27
وَأَذِّ
ن ف ِىٱ ل نّ َاسِ بِٱ لْحَجِّ يَأْتُوكَ رِجَالً ۭاو َعَلَىٰ كُلِّ ضَامِرٍ ۢي َأْتِينَ مِن ك ُلِّ فَجٍّ عَمِي ق ٍۢ ٢٧Waaththin fee annasibilhajji ya/tooka rijalan waAAalakulli damirin ya/teena min kulli fajjin AAameeq
And proclaim the Hajj to all the people: they will come to you on foot and on lean camels, coming from distant places,Ali Quli Qarai
And proclaim to the people the ḥajj [pilgrimage]; they will come to you on foot and on every lean camel; they will come from every distant pass -Saheeh International
-
22:28
لِّيَشْهَدُو
ا۟ مَنَٰ فِعَ لَهُمْ وَيَذْكُرُوا۟ ٱ سْمَٱ للَّهِ فِىٓ أَيَّامٍ ۢم َّعْلُومَٰ تٍ عَلَىٰ مَا رَزَقَهُم م ِّنۢ ب َهِيمَةِٱ لْأَنْعَٰ مِ ۖ فَكُلُوا۟ مِنْهَا وَأَطْ عِمُوا۟ ٱ لْبَا ٓئِسَٱ لْفَقِي رَ ٢٨Liyashhadoo manafiAAa lahum wayathkurooisma Allahi fee ayyamin maAAloomatin AAalama razaqahum min baheemati al-anAAami fakuloo minhawaatAAimoo alba-isa alfaqeer
that they may witness the benefits for them, and mention Allah’s Name during the known days over the livestock He has provided them. So eat thereof and feed the destitute and the needy.Ali Quli Qarai
That they may witness [i.e., attend] benefits for themselves and mention the name of Allāh on known [i.e., specific] days over what He has provided for them of [sacrificial] animals. So eat of them and feed the miserable and poor.Saheeh International

22:29
ثُ
مّ َ لْيَقْ ضُوا۟ تَفَثَهُمْ وَلْيُوفُوا۟ نُذُورَهُمْ وَلْيَطَّوَّفُوا۟ بِٱ لْبَيْتِٱ لْعَتِي ق ِ ٢٩Thumma lyaqdoo tafathahum walyoofoonuthoorahum walyattawwafoo bilbaytialAAateeq
Then let them do away with their untidiness, fulfill their vows, and circle around the Ancient House.Ali Quli Qarai
Then let them end their untidiness and fulfill their vows and perform ṭawāf around the ancient House."Saheeh International

22:30
ذَ
ٰ لِكَ وَمَن ي ُعَظِّمْ حُرُمَٰ تِٱ للَّهِ فَهُوَ خَيْرٌ ۭل َّهُۥ عِند َ رَبِّهِۦ ۗ وَأُحِلَّتْ لَكُمُٱ لْأَنْعَٰ مُ إِلَّا مَا يُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْكُمْ ۖ فَٱ جْ تَنِبُوا۟ ٱ ل رِّجْ سَ مِنَٱ لْأَوْثَٰ نِ وَٱ جْ تَنِبُوا۟ قَوْلَٱ ل زُّو رِ ٣٠Thalika waman yuAAaththimhurumati Allahi fahuwa khayrun lahu AAindarabbihi waohillat lakumu al-anAAamu illa mayutla AAalaykum fajtaniboo arrijsa minaal-awthani wajtaniboo qawla azzoor
That, and whoever venerates the sacraments of Allah, that is better for him with his Lord. You are permitted [animals of] grazing livestock except for what will be recited to you. So avoid the abomination of idols, and avoid false speech,Ali Quli Qarai
That [has been commanded], and whoever honors the sacred ordinances of Allāh - it is best for him in the sight of his Lord. And permitted to you are the grazing livestock, except what is recited to you. So avoid the uncleanliness of idols and avoid false statement,Saheeh International
-
22:31
حُنَف
َا ٓءَ لِلَّهِ غَيْرَ مُشْرِكِينَ بِهِۦ ۚ وَمَن ي ُشْرِكْ بِٱ للَّهِ فَكَأَنّ َمَا خَرَّ مِنَٱ ل سَّمَا ٓءِ فَتَخْطَفُهُٱ ل طَّيْرُ أَوْ تَهْوِى بِهِٱ ل رِّيحُ فِى مَكَانٍ ۢس َحِي ق ٍۢ ٣١Hunafaa lillahi ghayramushrikeena bihi waman yushrik billahi fakaannamakharra mina assama-i fatakhtafuhu attayruaw tahwee bihi arreehu fee makanin saheeq
as persons having pure faith in Allah, not ascribing partners to Him. Whoever ascribes partners to Allah is as though he had fallen from a height, then [his corpse] is devoured by vultures, or [his remains are] blown away by the wind far and wide.Ali Quli Qarai
Inclining [only] to Allāh, not associating [anything] with Him. And he who associates with Allāh - it is as though he had fallen from the sky and was snatched by the birds or the wind carried him down into a remote place.Saheeh International
-
22:32
ذَ
ٰ لِكَ وَمَن ي ُعَظِّمْ شَعَٰٓ ئِرَٱ للَّهِ فَإِنّ َهَا مِن ت َقْ وَىٱ لْقُلُو ب ِ ٣٢Thalika waman yuAAaththimshaAAa-ira Allahi fa-innaha min taqwaalquloob
That. And whoever venerates the sacraments of Allah—indeed that arises from the Godwariness of hearts.Ali Quli Qarai
That [is so]. And whoever honors the symbols [i.e., rites] of Allāh - indeed, it is from the piety of hearts.Saheeh International

22:33
لَكُمْ فِيهَا مَنَ
ٰ فِعُ إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٍ ۢم ُّسَمًّ ۭى ث ُمّ َ مَحِلُّهَآ إِلَىٱ لْبَيْتِٱ لْعَتِي ق ِ ٣٣Lakum feeha manafiAAu ilaajalin musamman thumma mahilluha ila albaytialAAateeq
You may benefit from them until a specified time. Then their place of sacrifice is by the Ancient House.Ali Quli Qarai
For you therein [i.e., the animals marked for sacrifice] are benefits for a specified term; then their place of sacrifice is at the ancient House.Saheeh International

22:34
وَلِكُلِّ أُ
مّ َةٍ ۢج َعَلْنَا مَنس َكً ۭا ل ِّيَذْكُرُوا۟ ٱ سْمَٱ للَّهِ عَلَىٰ مَا رَزَقَهُم م ِّنۢ ب َهِيمَةِٱ لْأَنْعَٰ مِ ۗ فَإِلَٰ هُكُمْ إِلَٰ هٌ ۭو َٰ حِدٌ ۭف َلَهُۥٓ أَسْلِمُوا۟ ۗ وَبَشِّرِٱ لْمُخْبِتِي نَ ٣٤Walikulli ommatin jaAAalna mansakanliyathkuroo isma Allahi AAala marazaqahum min baheemati al-anAAami fa-ilahukum ilahunwahidun falahu aslimoo wabashshiri almukhbiteen
For every nation We have appointed a rite so that they might mention Allah’s Name over the livestock He has provided them. Your God is the One God, so submit to Him. And give good news to the humbleAli Quli Qarai
And for every [religious] community We have appointed a rite [of sacrifice] that they may mention the name of Allāh over what He has provided for them of [sacrificial] animals. For your god is one God, so to Him submit. And, [O Muḥammad], give good tidings to the humble [before their Lord]Saheeh International
-
22:35
ٱلَّذِينَ إِذَا ذُكِرَ
ٱ للَّهُ وَجِلَتْ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَٱ ل صَّٰ بِرِينَ عَلَىٰ مَآ أَصَابَهُمْ وَٱ لْمُقِيمِىٱ ل صَّلَو ٰ ةِ وَمِمّ َا رَزَقْ نَٰ هُمْ يُنف ِقُو نَ ٣٥Allatheena itha thukiraAllahu wajilat quloobuhum wassabireenaAAala ma asabahum walmuqeemee assalatiwamimma razaqnahum yunfiqoon
—those whose hearts tremble with awe when Allah is mentioned, and who are patient through whatever visits them, and who maintain the prayer and spend out of what We have provided them.Ali Quli Qarai
Who, when Allāh is mentioned, their hearts are fearful, and [to] the patient over what has afflicted them, and the establishers of prayer and those who spend from what We have provided them.Saheeh International

22:36
وَ
ٱ لْبُدْ نَ جَعَلْنَٰ هَا لَكُم م ِّن ش َعَٰٓ ئِرِٱ للَّهِ لَكُمْ فِيهَا خَيْرٌ ۭۖ ف َٱ ذْكُرُوا۟ ٱ سْمَٱ للَّهِ عَلَيْهَا صَوَا ٓفَّ ۖ فَإِذَا وَجَبَتْ جُنُوبُهَا فَكُلُوا۟ مِنْهَا وَأَطْ عِمُوا۟ ٱ لْقَانِعَ وَٱ لْمُعْتَرَّ ۚ كَذَٰ لِكَ سَخَّرْنَٰ هَا لَكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُو نَ ٣٦Walbudna jaAAalnahalakum min shaAAa-iri Allahi lakum feehakhayrun fathkuroo isma Allahi AAalayhasawaffa fa-itha wajabat junoobuhafakuloo minha waatAAimoo alqaniAAa walmuAAtarrakathalika sakhkharnaha lakum laAAallakumtashkuroon
We have appointed for you the [sacrificial] camels as part of Allah’s sacraments. There is good for you in them. So mention the Name of Allah over them as they stand. And when they have fallen on their flanks, eat from them, and feed the self-contained needy and the mendicant. Thus have We disposed them for your benefit so that you may give thanks.Ali Quli Qarai
And the camels and cattle We have appointed for you as among the symbols [i.e., rites] of Allāh; for you therein is good. So mention the name of Allāh upon them when lined up [for sacrifice]; and when they are [lifeless] on their sides, then eat from them and feed the needy [who does not seek aid] and the beggar. Thus have We subjected them to you that you may be grateful.Saheeh International

22:37
ل
َن ي َنَالَٱ للَّهَ لُحُومُهَا وَلَا دِمَا ٓؤُهَا وَلَٰ كِن ي َنَالُهُٱ ل تَّقْ وَىٰ مِنك ُمْ ۚ كَذَٰ لِكَ سَخَّرَهَا لَكُمْ لِتُكَبِّرُوا۟ ٱ للَّهَ عَلَىٰ مَا هَدَىٰ كُمْ ۗ وَبَشِّرِٱ لْمُحْسِنِي نَ ٣٧Lan yanala Allaha luhoomuhawala dimaoha walakin yanaluhuattaqwa minkum kathalika sakhkharahalakum litukabbiroo Allaha AAala ma hadakumwabashshiri almuhsineen
It is not their flesh or blood that reaches Allah; rather, it is your piety that reaches Him. Thus has He disposed them for your benefit so that you may magnify Allah for His guiding you. And give good news to the virtuous.Ali Quli Qarai
Their meat will not reach Allāh, nor will their blood, but what reaches Him is piety from you. Thus have We subjected them to you that you may glorify Allāh for that [to] which He has guided you; and give good tidings to the doers of good.Saheeh International

22:38
۞ إِ
نّ َٱ للَّهَ يُدَٰ فِعُ عَنِٱ لَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓ ا۟ ۗ إِنّ َٱ للَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ كُلَّ خَوَّانٍ ۢك َفُو رٍ ٣٨Inna Allaha yudafiAAu AAaniallatheena amanoo inna Allaha la yuhibbukulla khawwanin kafoor
Allah will indeed defend those who have faith. Indeed Allah does not like any ingrate traitor.Ali Quli Qarai
Indeed, Allāh defends those who have believed. Indeed, Allāh does not like everyone treacherous and ungrateful.Saheeh International
-
22:39
أُذِنَ لِلَّذِينَ يُقَ
ٰ تَلُونَ بِأَنّ َهُمْ ظُلِمُوا۟ ۚ وَإِنّ َٱ للَّهَ عَلَىٰ نَصْرِهِمْ لَقَدِي رٌ ٣٩Othina lillatheena yuqataloonabi-annahum thulimoo wa-inna Allaha AAalanasrihim laqadeer
Those who are fought against are permitted [to fight] because they have been wronged, and Allah is indeed able to help themAli Quli Qarai
Permission [to fight] has been given to those who are being fought, because they were wronged. And indeed, Allāh is competent to give them victory.Saheeh International

22:40
ٱلَّذِينَ أُخْرِجُو
ا۟ مِن د ِيَٰ رِهِم ب ِغَيْرِ حَقٍّ إِلَّآ أَن ي َقُولُوا۟ رَبُّنَاٱ للَّهُ ۗ وَلَوْلَا دَفْعُٱ للَّهِٱ ل نّ َاسَ بَعْضَهُم ب ِبَعْضٍ ۢل َّهُدِّمَتْ صَوَٰ مِعُ وَبِيَعٌ ۭو َصَلَوَٰ تٌ ۭو َمَسَٰ جِدُ يُذْكَرُ فِيهَاٱ سْمُٱ للَّهِ كَثِيرً ۭا ۗ و َلَيَنص ُرَنّ َٱ للَّهُ مَن ي َنص ُرُهُۥٓ ۗ إِنّ َٱ للَّهَ لَقَوِىٌّ عَزِي زٌ ٤٠Allatheena okhrijoo min diyarihimbighayri haqqin illa an yaqooloo rabbuna Allahuwalawla dafAAu Allahi annasa baAAdahumbibaAAdin lahuddimat sawamiAAu wabiyaAAun wasalawatunwamasajidu yuthkaru feeha ismu Allahikatheeran walayansuranna Allahu man yansuruhuinna Allaha laqawiyyun AAazeez
—those who were expelled from their homes unjustly, only because they said, ‘Allah is our Lord.’ Had not Allah repulsed the people from one another, ruin would have befallen the monasteries, churches, synagogues and mosques in which Allah’s Name is much invoked. Allah will surely help those who help Him. Indeed Allah is all-strong, all-mighty.Ali Quli Qarai
[They are] those who have been evicted from their homes without right - only because they say, "Our Lord is Allāh." And were it not that Allāh checks the people, some by means of others, there would have been demolished monasteries, churches, synagogues, and mosques in which the name of Allāh is much mentioned [i.e., praised]. And Allāh will surely support those who support Him [i.e., His cause]. Indeed, Allāh is Powerful and Exalted in Might.Saheeh International

22:41
ٱلَّذِينَ إ
ِن م َّكَّنّ َٰ هُمْ فِىٱ لْأَرْضِ أَقَامُوا۟ ٱ ل صَّلَو ٰ ةَ وَءَاتَوُا۟ ٱ ل زَّكَو ٰ ةَ وَأَمَرُوا۟ بِٱ لْمَعْرُوفِ وَنَهَوْا۟ عَنِٱ لْمُنك َرِ ۗ وَلِلَّهِ عَٰ قِبَةُٱ لْأُمُو رِ ٤١Allatheena in makkannahum feeal-ardi aqamoo assalata waatawooazzakata waamaroo bilmaAAroofi wanahawAAani almunkari walillahi AAaqibatu al-omoor
Those who, if We granted them power in the land, will maintain the prayer, give the zakat, bid what is right and forbid what is wrong. And with Allah rests the outcome of all matters.Ali Quli Qarai
[And they are] those who, if We give them authority in the land, establish prayer and give zakāh and enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong. And to Allāh belongs the outcome of [all] matters.Saheeh International
-
22:42
وَإ
ِن ي ُكَذِّبُوكَ فَقَدْ كَذَّبَتْ قَبْ لَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ ۢو َعَادٌ ۭو َثَمُو د ُ ٤٢Wa-in yukaththibooka faqad kaththabatqablahum qawmu noohin waAAadun wathamood
If they impugn you, the people of Noah had impugned before them and ‘Ad and Thamud,Ali Quli Qarai
And if they deny you, [O Muḥammad] - so, before them, did the people of Noah and ʿAad and Thamūd deny [their prophets],Saheeh International
-
22:43
وَقَوْمُ إِ
بْ رَٰ هِيمَ وَقَوْمُ لُو ط ٍۢ ٤٣Waqawmu ibraheema waqawmu loot
[as well as] the people of Abraham and the people of Lot,Ali Quli Qarai
And the people of Abraham and the people of LotSaheeh International
-
22:44
وَأَصْحَ
ٰ بُ مَدْ يَنَ ۖ وَكُذِّبَ مُوسَىٰ فَأَمْلَيْتُ لِلْكَٰ فِرِينَ ثُمّ َ أَخَذْتُهُمْ ۖ فَكَيْفَ كَانَ نَكِي رِ ٤٤Waas-habu madyana wakuththibamoosa faamlaytu lilkafireena thumma akhathtuhumfakayfa kana nakeer
and the inhabitants of Midian, and Moses was also impugned. But I gave the faithless a respite, then I seized them and how was My rebuttal!Ali Quli Qarai
And the inhabitants of Madyan. And Moses was denied, so I prolonged enjoyment for the disbelievers; then I seized them, and how [terrible] was My reproach.Saheeh International
-
22:45
فَكَأَيّ
ِن م ِّن ق َرْيَةٍ أَهْلَكْنَٰ هَا وَهِىَ ظَالِمَةٌ ۭف َهِىَ خَاوِيَةٌ عَلَىٰ عُرُوشِهَا وَبِئْرٍ ۢم ُّعَطَّلَةٍ ۢو َقَصْرٍ ۢم َّشِي د ٍ ٤٥Fakaayyin min qaryatin ahlaknahawahiya thalimatun fahiya khawiyatunAAala AAurooshiha wabi/rin muAAattalatinwaqasrin masheed
How many towns We have destroyed when they had been wrongdoers! So they lie fallen on their trellises, their wells neglected and their ruined palaces!Ali Quli Qarai
And how many a city did We destroy while it was committing wrong - so it is [now] fallen into ruin - and [how many] an abandoned well and [how many] a lofty palace.Saheeh International
-
22:46
أَفَلَمْ يَسِيرُو
ا۟ فِىٱ لْأَرْضِ فَتَكُونَ لَهُمْ قُلُوبٌ ۭي َعْقِلُونَ بِهَآ أَوْ ءَاذَانٌ ۭي َسْمَعُونَ بِهَا ۖ فَإِنّ َهَا لَا تَعْمَىٱ لْأَبْ صَٰ رُ وَلَٰ كِن ت َعْمَىٱ لْقُلُوبُٱ لَّتِى فِىٱ ل صُّدُو رِ ٤٦Afalam yaseeroo fee al-ardi fatakoonalahum quloobun yaAAqiloona biha aw athanunyasmaAAoona biha fa-innaha la taAAmaal-absaru walakin taAAma alquloobu allateefee assudoor
Have they not travelled through the land so that they may have hearts by which they may exercise their reason, or ears by which they may hear? Indeed, it is not the eyes that turn blind, but it is the hearts in the breasts that turn blind!Ali Quli Qarai
So have they not traveled through the earth and have hearts by which to reason and ears by which to hear? For indeed, it is not eyes that are blinded, but blinded are the hearts which are within the breasts.Saheeh International
-
22:47
وَيَسْتَعْجِلُونَكَ بِ
ٱ لْعَذَابِ وَلَن ي ُخْلِفَٱ للَّهُ وَعْدَهُۥ ۚ وَإِنّ َ يَوْمًا عِند َ رَبِّكَ كَأَلْفِ سَنَةٍ ۢم ِّمّ َا تَعُدُّو نَ ٤٧WayastaAAjiloonaka bilAAathabiwalan yukhlifa Allahu waAAdahu wa-inna yawman AAindarabbika kaalfi sanatin mimma taAAuddoon
They ask you to hasten the punishment, though Allah will never break His promise. Indeed a day with your Lord is like a thousand years by your reckoning.Ali Quli Qarai
And they urge you to hasten the punishment. But Allāh will never fail in His promise. And indeed, a day with your Lord is like a thousand years of those which you count.Saheeh International
-
22:48
وَكَأَيّ
ِن م ِّن ق َرْيَةٍ أَمْلَيْتُ لَهَا وَهِىَ ظَالِمَةٌ ۭث ُمّ َ أَخَذْتُهَا وَإِلَىَّٱ لْمَصِي رُ ٤٨Wakaayyin min qaryatin amlaytu lahawahiya thalimatun thumma akhathtuhawa-ilayya almaseer
To how many a town did I give respite while it was doing wrong! Then I seized it, and toward Me is the destination.Ali Quli Qarai
And for how many a city did I prolong enjoyment while it was committing wrong. Then I seized it, and to Me is the [final] destination.Saheeh International
-
22:49
قُلْ يَ
ٰٓ أَيُّهَاٱ ل نّ َاسُ إِنّ َمَآ أَنَا۠ لَكُمْ نَذِيرٌ ۭم ُّبِي نٌۭ ٤٩Qul ya ayyuha annasuinnama ana lakum natheerun mubeen
Say, ‘O mankind! I am only a manifest warner to you!’Ali Quli Qarai
Say, "O people, I am only to you a clear warner."Saheeh International
-
22:50
فَ
ٱ لَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱ ل صَّٰ لِحَٰ تِ لَهُم م َّغْفِرَةٌ ۭو َرِزْقٌ ۭك َرِي مٌۭ ٥٠Fallatheena amanoowaAAamiloo assalihati lahum maghfiratunwarizqun kareem
As for those who have faith and do righteous deeds, for them will be forgiveness and a noble provision.Ali Quli Qarai
And those who have believed and done righteous deeds - for them is forgiveness and noble provision.Saheeh International
-
22:51
وَ
ٱ لَّذِينَ سَعَوْا۟ فِىٓ ءَايَٰ تِنَا مُعَٰ جِزِينَ أُو۟ لَٰٓ ئِكَ أَصْحَٰ بُٱ لْجَحِي مِ ٥١Wallatheena saAAaw fee ayatinamuAAajizeena ola-ika as-habu aljaheem
But as for those who contend with Our signs, seeking to frustrate [their purpose], they shall be the inmates of hell.Ali Quli Qarai
But the ones who strove against Our verses, [seeking] to cause failure - those are the companions of Hellfire.Saheeh International
-
22:52
وَم
َآ أَرْسَلْنَا مِن ق َبْ لِكَ مِن ر َّسُولٍ ۢو َلَا نَبِىٍّ إِلَّآ إِذَا تَمَنّ َىٰٓ أَلْقَىٱ ل شَّيْطَٰ نُ فِىٓ أُمْنِيَّتِهِۦ فَيَنس َخُٱ للَّهُ مَا يُلْقِىٱ ل شَّيْطَٰ نُ ثُمّ َ يُحْكِمُٱ للَّهُ ءَايَٰ تِهِۦ ۗ وَٱ للَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِي مٌۭ ٥٢Wama arsalna min qablika minrasoolin wala nabiyyin illa itha tamannaalqa ashshaytanu fee omniyyatihi fayansakhuAllahu ma yulqee ashshaytanu thummayuhkimu Allahu ayatihi wallahuAAaleemun hakeem
We did not send any apostle or prophet before you but that when he recited [the scripture] Satan interjected [something] in his recitation. Thereat Allah nullifies whatever Satan has interjected, and then Allah confirms His signs, and Allah is All-knowing, All-wise.Ali Quli Qarai
And We did not send before you any messenger or prophet except that when he spoke [or recited], Satan threw into it [some misunderstanding]. But Allāh abolishes that which Satan throws in; then Allāh makes precise His verses. And Allāh is Knowing and Wise.Saheeh International

22:53
لِّيَ
جْ عَلَ مَا يُلْقِىٱ ل شَّيْطَٰ نُ فِتْنَةً ۭل ِّلَّذِينَ فِى قُلُوبِهِم م َّرَضٌ ۭو َٱ لْقَاسِيَةِ قُلُوبُهُمْ ۗ وَإِنّ َٱ ل ظَّٰ لِمِينَ لَفِى شِقَاقٍۭ ب َعِي د ٍۢ ٥٣LiyajAAala ma yulqee ashshaytanufitnatan lillatheena fee quloobihim maradun walqasiyatiquloobuhum wa-inna aththalimeenalafee shiqaqin baAAeed
That He may make what Satan has thrown in a test for those in whose hearts is a sickness and those whose hearts have hardened. Indeed the wrongdoers are steeped in extreme defiance.Ali Quli Qarai
[That is] so He may make what Satan throws in [i.e., asserts] a trial for those within whose hearts is disease and those hard of heart. And indeed, the wrongdoers are in extreme dissension.Saheeh International

22:54
وَلِيَعْلَمَ
ٱ لَّذِينَ أُوتُوا۟ ٱ لْعِلْمَ أَنّ َهُٱ لْحَقُّ مِن ر َّبِّكَ فَيُؤْمِنُوا۟ بِهِۦ فَتُخْبِتَ لَهُۥ قُلُوبُهُمْ ۗ وَإِنّ َٱ للَّهَ لَهَادِٱ لَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓ ا۟ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰ طٍ ۢم ُّسْتَقِي مٍۢ ٥٤WaliyaAAlama allatheena ootooalAAilma annahu alhaqqu min rabbika fayu/minoo bihifatukhbita lahu quloobuhum wa-inna Allaha lahadiallatheena amanoo ila siratinmustaqeem
[And also for the reason] that those who have been given knowledge may know that it is the truth from your Lord, and so they may have faith in it, and their hearts may be humbled before Him. Indeed Allah guides those who have faith to a straight path.Ali Quli Qarai
And so those who were given knowledge may know that it is the truth from your Lord and [therefore] believe in it, and their hearts humbly submit to it. And indeed is Allāh the Guide of those who have believed to a straight path.Saheeh International

22:55
وَلَا يَزَالُ
ٱ لَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ فِى مِرْيَةٍ ۢم ِّنْهُ حَتَّىٰ تَأْتِيَهُمُٱ ل سَّاعَةُ بَغْتَةً أَوْ يَأْتِيَهُمْ عَذَابُ يَوْمٍ عَقِي مٍ ٥٥Wala yazalu allatheenakafaroo fee miryatin minhu hatta ta/tiyahumu assaAAatubaghtatan aw ya/tiyahum AAathabu yawmin AAaqeem
Those who are faithless persist in their doubt about it, until either the Hour overtakes them suddenly, or they are overtaken by the punishment of an inauspicious day.Ali Quli Qarai
But those who disbelieve will not cease to be in doubt of it until the Hour comes upon them unexpectedly or there comes to them the punishment of a barren Day.Saheeh International

22:56
ٱلْمُلْكُ يَوْمَئِ
ذٍ ۢل ِّلَّهِ يَحْكُمُ بَيْنَهُمْ ۚ فَٱ لَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱ ل صَّٰ لِحَٰ تِ فِى جَنّ َٰ تِٱ ل نّ َعِي مِ ٥٦Almulku yawma-ithin lillahi yahkumubaynahum fallatheena amanoo waAAamiloo assalihatifee jannati annaAAeem
On that day all sovereignty will belong to Allah: He will judge between them; then those who have faith and do righteous deeds will be in gardens of bliss,Ali Quli Qarai
[All] sovereignty that Day is for Allāh; He will judge between them. So they who believed and did righteous deeds will be in the Gardens of Pleasure.Saheeh International

22:57
وَ
ٱ لَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ وَكَذَّبُوا۟ بَِٔايَٰ تِنَا فَأُو۟ لَٰٓ ئِكَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ ۭم ُّهِي نٌۭ ٥٧Wallatheena kafaroo wakaththaboobi-ayatina faola-ika lahum AAathabunmuheen
and those who are faithless and deny Our signs—for such there will be a humiliating punishment.Ali Quli Qarai
And they who disbelieved and denied Our signs - for those there will be a humiliating punishment.Saheeh International

22:58
وَ
ٱ لَّذِينَ هَاجَرُوا۟ فِى سَبِيلِٱ للَّهِ ثُمّ َ قُتِلُوٓ ا۟ أَوْ مَاتُوا۟ لَيَرْزُقَنّ َهُمُٱ للَّهُ رِزْقًا حَسَنً ۭا ۚ و َإِنّ َٱ للَّهَ لَهُوَ خَيْرُٱ ل رَّٰ زِقِي نَ ٥٨Wallatheena hajaroofee sabeeli Allahi thumma qutiloo aw matoolayarzuqannahumu Allahu rizqan hasanan wa-inna Allahalahuwa khayru arraziqeen
Those who migrate in the way of Allah and then are slain, or die, Allah will surely provide them with a good provision. Allah is indeed the best of providers.Ali Quli Qarai
And those who emigrated for the cause of Allāh and then were killed or died - Allāh will surely provide for them a good provision. And indeed, it is Allāh who is the best of providers.Saheeh International

22:59
لَيُ
دْ خِلَنّ َهُم م ُّدْ خَلً ۭاي َرْضَوْنَهُۥ ۗ وَإِنّ َٱ للَّهَ لَعَلِيمٌ حَلِي مٌۭ ٥٩Layudkhilannahum mudkhalan yardawnahuwa-inna Allaha laAAaleemun haleem
He will admit them into an abode they are pleased with. Indeed Allah is all-knowing, all-forbearing.Ali Quli Qarai
He will surely cause them to enter an entrance with which they will be pleased, and indeed, Allāh is Knowing and Forbearing.Saheeh International

22:60
۞
ٰ لِكَ وَمَنْ عَاقَبَ بِمِثْلِ مَا عُوقِبَ بِهِۦ ثُمّ َ بُغِىَ عَلَيْهِ لَيَنص ُرَنّ َهُٱ للَّهُ ۗ إِنّ َٱ للَّهَ لَعَفُوٌّ غَفُو رٌۭ ٦٠Thalika waman AAaqaba bimithlima AAooqiba bihi thumma bughiya AAalayhi layansurannahuAllahu inna Allaha laAAafuwwun ghafoor
So will it be; and whoever retaliates with the like of what he has been made to suffer, and is aggressed against [again] thereafter, Allah will surely help him. Indeed Allah is all-excusing, all-forgiving.Ali Quli Qarai
That [is so]. And whoever responds [to injustice] with the equivalent of that with which he was harmed and then is tyrannized - Allāh will surely aid him. Indeed, Allāh is Pardoning and Forgiving.Saheeh International

22:61
ذَ
ٰ لِكَ بِأَنّ َٱ للَّهَ يُولِجُٱ لَّيْلَ فِىٱ ل نّ َهَارِ وَيُولِجُٱ ل نّ َهَارَ فِىٱ لَّيْلِ وَأَنّ َٱ للَّهَ سَمِيعٌۢ ب َصِي رٌۭ ٦١Thalika bi-anna Allaha yoolijuallayla fee annahari wayooliju annaharafee allayli waanna Allaha sameeAAun baseer
So will it be, because Allah makes the night pass into the day and makes the day pass into the night, and because Allah is all-hearing, all-seeing.Ali Quli Qarai
That is because Allāh causes the night to enter the day and causes the day to enter the night and because Allāh is Hearing and Seeing.Saheeh International

22:62
ذَ
ٰ لِكَ بِأَنّ َٱ للَّهَ هُوَٱ لْحَقُّ وَأَنّ َ مَا يَدْ عُونَ مِن د ُونِهِۦ هُوَٱ لْبَٰ طِلُ وَأَنّ َٱ للَّهَ هُوَٱ لْعَلِىُّٱ لْكَبِي رُ ٦٢Thalika bi-anna Allaha huwa alhaqquwaanna ma yadAAoona min doonihi huwa albatiluwaanna Allaha huwa alAAaliyyu alkabeer
So will it be, because Allah is the Reality, and what they invoke besides Him is nullity, and because Allah is the All-exalted, the All-great.Ali Quli Qarai
That is because Allāh is the True Reality, and that which they call upon other than Him is falsehood, and because Allāh is the Most High, the Grand.Saheeh International

22:63
أَلَمْ تَرَ أَ
نّ َٱ للَّهَ أَنز َلَ مِنَٱ ل سَّمَا ٓءِ مَا ٓءً ۭف َتُصْبِحُٱ لْأَرْضُ مُخْضَرَّةً ۗ إِنّ َٱ للَّهَ لَطِيفٌ خَبِي رٌۭ ٦٣Alam tara anna Allaha anzala mina assama-imaan fatusbihu al-ardu mukhdarrataninna Allaha lateefun khabeer
Have you not regarded that Allah sends down water from the sky, whereupon the earth turns green? Indeed Allah is all-attentive, all-aware.Ali Quli Qarai
Do you not see that Allāh has sent down rain from the sky and the earth becomes green? Indeed, Allāh is Subtle and Aware.Saheeh International

22:64
لَّهُ
ۥ مَا فِىٱ ل سَّمَٰ وَٰ تِ وَمَا فِىٱ لْأَرْضِ ۗ وَإِنّ َٱ للَّهَ لَهُوَٱ لْغَنِىُّٱ لْحَمِي د ُ ٦٤Lahu ma fee assamawatiwama fee al-ardi wa-inna Allaha lahuwaalghaniyyu alhameed
To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth, Indeed Allah is the All-sufficient, the All-laudable.Ali Quli Qarai
To Him belongs what is in the heavens and what is on the earth. And indeed, Allāh is the Free of need, the Praiseworthy.Saheeh International
-
22:65
أَلَمْ تَرَ أَ
نّ َٱ للَّهَ سَخَّرَ لَكُم م َّا فِىٱ لْأَرْضِ وَٱ لْفُلْكَ تَجْ رِى فِىٱ لْبَحْرِ بِأَمْرِهِۦ وَيُمْسِكُٱ ل سَّمَا ٓءَ أَن ت َقَعَ عَلَىٱ لْأَرْضِ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِهِۦٓ ۗ إِنّ َٱ للَّهَ بِٱ ل نّ َاسِ لَرَءُوفٌ ۭر َّحِي مٌۭ ٦٥Alam tara anna Allaha sakhkhara lakumma fee al-ardi walfulka tajree fee albahribi-amrihi wayumsiku assamaa an taqaAAa AAalaal-ardi illa bi-ithnihi inna Allahabinnasi laraoofun raheem
Have you not regarded that Allah has disposed for you [r benefit] whatever there is in the earth, and [that] the ships sail at sea by His command, and He sustains the sky lest it should fall on the earth, excepting [when it does so] by His leave? Indeed Allah is most kind and merciful to mankind.Ali Quli Qarai
Do you not see that Allāh has subjected to you whatever is on the earth and the ships which run through the sea by His command? And He restrains the sky from falling upon the earth, unless by His permission. Indeed Allāh, to the people, is Kind and Merciful.Saheeh International

22:66
وَهُوَ
ٱ لَّذِىٓ أَحْيَاكُمْ ثُمّ َ يُمِيتُكُمْ ثُمّ َ يُحْيِيكُمْ ۗ إِنّ َٱ لْإِنس َٰ نَ لَكَفُو رٌۭ ٦٦Wahuwa allathee ahyakumthumma yumeetukum thumma yuhyeekum inna al-insanalakafoor
It is He who gave you life then He makes you die, then He brings you to life. Indeed man is very ungrateful.Ali Quli Qarai
And He is the one who gave you life; then He causes you to die and then will [again] give you life. Indeed, mankind is ungrateful.Saheeh International

22:67
لِّكُلِّ أُ
مّ َةٍ ۢج َعَلْنَا مَنس َكًا هُمْ نَاسِكُوهُ ۖ فَلَا يُنَٰ زِعُنّ َكَ فِىٱ لْأَمْرِ ۚ وَٱ دْ عُ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ ۖ إِنّ َكَ لَعَلَىٰ هُدً ۭى م ُّسْتَقِي مٍۢ ٦٧Likulli ommatin jaAAalna mansakan humnasikoohu fala yunaziAAunnaka fee al-amri wadAAuila rabbika innaka laAAala hudan mustaqeem
For every nation We have appointed rites [of worship] which they observe; so let them not dispute with you concerning your religion, and invite to your Lord. Indeed, you are on a straight guidance.Ali Quli Qarai
For every [religious] community We have appointed rites which they perform. So, [O Muḥammad], let them [i.e., the disbelievers] not contend with you over the matter but invite [them] to your Lord. Indeed, you are upon straight guidance.Saheeh International

22:68
وَإِ
ن ج َٰ دَلُوكَ فَقُلِٱ للَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُو نَ ٦٨Wa-in jadalooka faquli AllahuaAAlamu bima taAAmaloon
But if they dispute with you, say, ‘Allah knows best what you are doing.Ali Quli Qarai
And if they dispute with you, then say, "Allāh is most knowing of what you do.Saheeh International
-
22:69
ٱللَّهُ يَحْكُمُ بَيْنَكُمْ يَوْمَ
ٱ لْقِيَٰ مَةِ فِيمَا كُنت ُمْ فِيهِ تَخْتَلِفُو نَ ٦٩Allahu yahkumu baynakum yawmaalqiyamati feema kuntum feehi takhtalifoon
Allah will judge between you on the Day of Resurrection concerning that about which you used to differ.Ali Quli Qarai
Allāh will judge between you on the Day of Resurrection concerning that over which you used to differ."Saheeh International
-
22:70
أَلَمْ تَعْلَمْ أَ
نّ َٱ للَّهَ يَعْلَمُ مَا فِىٱ ل سَّمَا ٓءِ وَٱ لْأَرْضِ ۗ إِنّ َ ذَٰ لِكَ فِى كِتَٰ بٍ ۚ إِنّ َ ذَٰ لِكَ عَلَىٱ للَّهِ يَسِي رٌۭ ٧٠Alam taAAlam anna Allaha yaAAlamu mafee assama-i wal-ardi inna thalikafee kitabin inna thalika AAala Allahiyaseer
Do you not know that Allah knows whatever there is in the heaven and the earth? All that is in a Book. That is indeed easy for Allah.’Ali Quli Qarai
Do you not know that Allāh knows what is in the heaven and earth? Indeed, that is in a Record. Indeed that, for Allāh, is easy.Saheeh International

22:71
وَيَعْبُدُونَ مِ
ن د ُونِٱ للَّهِ مَا لَمْ يُنَزِّلْ بِهِۦ سُلْطَٰ نً ۭا و َمَا لَيْسَ لَهُم ب ِهِۦ عِلْمٌ ۭۗ و َمَا لِلظَّٰ لِمِينَ مِن ن َّصِي رٍۢ ٧١WayaAAbudoona min dooni Allahi malam yunazzil bihi sultanan wama laysa lahum bihiAAilmun wama liththalimeenamin naseer
They worship besides Allah that for which He has not sent down any authority, and of which they have no knowledge. The wrongdoers will have no helper.Ali Quli Qarai
And they worship besides Allāh that for which He has not sent down authority and that of which they have no knowledge. And there will not be for the wrongdoers any helper.Saheeh International

22:72
وَإِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِمْ ءَايَ
ٰ تُنَا بَيِّنَٰ تٍ ۢت َعْرِفُ فِى وُجُوهِٱ لَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ ٱ لْمُنك َرَ ۖ يَكَادُونَ يَسْطُونَ بِٱ لَّذِينَ يَتْلُونَ عَلَيْهِمْ ءَايَٰ تِنَا ۗ قُلْ أَفَأُنَبِّئُكُم ب ِشَرٍّ ۢم ِّن ذ َٰ لِكُمُ ۗٱ ل نّ َارُ وَعَدَهَاٱ للَّهُٱ لَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ ۖ وَبِئْسَٱ لْمَصِي رُ ٧٢Wa-itha tutla AAalayhim ayatunabayyinatin taAArifu fee wujoohi allatheena kafarooalmunkara yakadoona yastoona billatheenayatloona AAalayhim ayatina qulafaonabbi-okum bisharrin min thalikum annaruwaAAadaha Allahu allatheena kafaroo wabi/saalmaseer
When Our manifest signs are recited to them, you perceive denial on the faces of the faithless: they would almost pounce upon those who recite Our signs to them. Say, ‘Shall I inform you about something worse than that? The Fire which Allah has promised the faithless, and it is an evil destination.’Ali Quli Qarai
And when Our verses are recited to them as clear evidences, you recognize in the faces of those who disbelieve disapproval. They are almost on the verge of assaulting those who recite to them Our verses. Say, "Then shall I inform you of [what is] worse than that? [It is] the Fire which Allāh has promised those who disbelieve, and wretched is the destination."Saheeh International

22:73
يَ
ٰٓ أَيُّهَاٱ ل نّ َاسُ ضُرِبَ مَثَلٌ ۭف َٱ سْتَمِعُوا۟ لَهُۥٓ ۚ إِنّ َٱ لَّذِينَ تَدْ عُونَ مِن د ُونِٱ للَّهِ لَن ي َخْلُقُوا۟ ذُبَابً ۭا و َلَوِٱ جْ تَمَعُوا۟ لَهُۥ ۖ وَإِن ي َسْلُبْ هُمُٱ ل ذُّبَابُ شَئًْ ۭا ل َّا يَسْتَنق ِذُوهُ مِنْهُ ۚ ضَعُفَٱ ل طَّالِبُ وَٱ لْمَطْ لُو ب ُ ٧٣Ya ayyuha annasuduriba mathalun fastamiAAoo lahu inna allatheenatadAAoona min dooni Allahi lan yakhluqoo thubabanwalawi ijtamaAAoo lahu wa-in yaslubuhumu aththubabushay-an la yastanqithoohu minhu daAAufa attalibuwalmatloob
O people! Listen to a parable that is being drawn: Indeed those whom you invoke besides Allah will never create [even] a fly even if they all rallied to do so! And if a fly should take away something from them, they can not recover that from it. Feeble is the seeker and the sought!Ali Quli Qarai
O people, an example is presented, so listen to it. Indeed, those you invoke besides Allāh will never create [as much as] a fly, even if they gathered together for it [i.e., that purpose]. And if the fly should steal from them a [tiny] thing, they could not recover it from him. Weak are the pursuer and pursued.Saheeh International

22:74
مَا قَدَرُو
ا۟ ٱ للَّهَ حَقَّ قَدْ رِهِۦٓ ۗ إِنّ َٱ للَّهَ لَقَوِىٌّ عَزِي زٌ ٧٤Ma qadaroo Allaha haqqaqadrihi inna Allaha laqawiyyun AAazeez
They do not regard Allah with the regard due to Him. Indeed Allah is all-strong, all-mighty.Ali Quli Qarai
They have not appraised Allāh with true appraisal. Indeed, Allāh is Powerful and Exalted in Might.Saheeh International
-
22:75
ٱللَّهُ يَصْطَفِى مِنَ
ٱ لْمَلَٰٓ ئِكَةِ رُسُلً ۭاو َمِنَٱ ل نّ َاسِ ۚ إِنّ َٱ للَّهَ سَمِيعٌۢ ب َصِي رٌۭ ٧٥Allahu yastafee mina almala-ikatirusulan wamina annasi inna Allaha sameeAAunbaseer
Allah chooses messengers from angels and from mankind. Indeed Allah is all-hearing, all-seeing.Ali Quli Qarai
Allāh chooses from the angels messengers and from the people. Indeed, Allāh is Hearing and Seeing.Saheeh International

22:76
يَعْلَمُ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ ۗ وَإِلَى
ٱ للَّهِ تُرْجَعُٱ لْأُمُو رُ ٧٦YaAAlamu ma bayna aydeehim wamakhalfahum wa-ila Allahi turjaAAu al-omoor
He knows that which is before them and that which is behind them, and to Allah all matters are returned.Ali Quli Qarai
He knows what is [presently] before them and what will be after them. And to Allāh will be returned [all] matters.Saheeh International

22:77
يَ
ٰٓ أَيُّهَاٱ لَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱ رْكَعُوا۟ وَٱ سْجُدُوا۟ وَٱ عْبُدُوا۟ رَبَّكُمْ وَٱ فْعَلُوا۟ ٱ لْخَيْرَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُو نَ ۩ ٧٧Ya ayyuha allatheena amanooirkaAAoo wasjudoo waAAbudoo rabbakum wafAAalooalkhayra laAAallakum tuflihoon
O you who have faith! Bow down and prostrate yourselves, and worship your Lord, and do good, so that you may be felicitous.Ali Quli Qarai
O you who have believed, bow and prostrate and worship your Lord and do good - that you may succeed.Saheeh International

22:78
وَجَ
ٰ هِدُوا۟ فِىٱ للَّهِ حَقَّ جِهَادِهِۦ ۚ هُوَٱ جْ تَبَىٰ كُمْ وَمَا جَعَلَ عَلَيْكُمْ فِىٱ ل دِّينِ مِنْ حَرَجٍ ۢۚ م ِّلَّةَ أَبِيكُمْ إِبْ رَٰ هِيمَ ۚ هُوَ سَمّ َىٰ كُمُٱ لْمُسْلِمِينَ مِن ق َبْ لُ وَفِى هَٰ ذَا لِيَكُونَٱ ل رَّسُولُ شَهِيدًا عَلَيْكُمْ وَتَكُونُوا۟ شُهَدَا ٓءَ عَلَىٱ ل نّ َاسِ ۚ فَأَقِيمُوا۟ ٱ ل صَّلَو ٰ ةَ وَءَاتُوا۟ ٱ ل زَّكَو ٰ ةَ وَٱ عْتَصِمُوا۟ بِٱ للَّهِ هُوَ مَوْلَىٰ كُمْ ۖ فَنِعْمَٱ لْمَوْلَىٰ وَنِعْمَٱ ل نّ َصِي رُ ٧٨Wajahidoo fee Allahi haqqajihadihi huwa ijtabakum wama jaAAalaAAalaykum fee addeeni min harajin millata abeekumibraheema huwa sammakumu almuslimeena min qabluwafee hatha liyakoona arrasoolu shaheedanAAalaykum watakoonoo shuhadaa AAala annasifaaqeemoo assalata waatoo azzakatawaAAtasimoo billahi huwa mawlakumfaniAAma almawla waniAAma annaseer
And wage jihad for the sake of Allah, a jihad which is worthy of Him. He has chosen you and has not placed for you any obstacle in the religion, the faith of your father, Abraham. He named you ‘Muslims’ before, and in this, so that the Apostle may be a witness to you, and that you may be witnesses to mankind. So maintain the prayer, give the zakat, and hold fast to Allah. He is your master—an excellent master and an excellent helper.Ali Quli Qarai
And strive for Allāh with the striving due to Him. He has chosen you and has not placed upon you in the religion any difficulty. [It is] the religion of your father, Abraham. He [i.e., Allāh] named you "Muslims" before [in former scriptures] and in this [revelation] that the Messenger may be a witness over you and you may be witnesses over the people. So establish prayer and give zakāh and hold fast to Allāh. He is your protector; and excellent is the protector, and excellent is the helper.Saheeh International
