بِسْمِ
-
6:1
ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ
ٱ لَّذِى خَلَقَٱ ل سَّمَٰ وَٰ تِ وَٱ لْأَرْضَ وَجَعَلَٱ ل ظُّلُمَٰ تِ وَٱ ل نّ ُورَ ۖ ثُمّ َٱ لَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ بِرَبِّهِمْ يَعْدِلُو نَ ١Alhamdu lillahi allatheekhalaqa assamawati wal-ardawajaAAala aththulumati wannoorathumma allatheena kafaroo birabbihim yaAAdiloon
All praise belongs to Allah who created the heavens and the earth and made the darkness and the light. Yet the faithless equate [others] with their Lord.Ali Quli Qarai
[All] praise is [due] to Allāh, who created the heavens and the earth and made the darkness and the light. Then those who disbelieve equate [others] with their Lord.Saheeh International
-
6:2
هُوَ
ٱ لَّذِى خَلَقَكُم م ِّن ط ِينٍ ۢث ُمّ َ قَضَىٰٓ أَجَلً ۭاۖ و َأَجَلٌ ۭم ُّسَمّ ًى عِند َهُۥ ۖ ثُمّ َ أَنت ُمْ تَمْتَرُو نَ ٢Huwa allathee khalaqakum min teeninthumma qada ajalan waajalun musamman AAindahu thumma antumtamtaroon
It is He who created you from clay, then ordained the term [of your life]—the specified term is with Him—and yet you are in doubt.Ali Quli Qarai
It is He who created you from clay and then decreed a term and a specified time [known] to Him; then [still] you are in dispute.Saheeh International

6:3
وَهُوَ
ٱ للَّهُ فِىٱ ل سَّمَٰ وَٰ تِ وَفِىٱ لْأَرْضِ ۖ يَعْلَمُ سِرَّكُمْ وَجَهْرَكُمْ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا تَكْسِبُو نَ ٣Wahuwa Allahu fee assamawatiwafee al-ardi yaAAlamu sirrakum wajahrakum wayaAAlamu mataksiboon
He is Allah in the heavens and on the earth: He knows your secret and your overt [matters], and He knows what you earn.Ali Quli Qarai
And He is Allāh, [the only deity] in the heavens and the earth. He knows your secret and what you make public, and He knows that which you earn.Saheeh International

6:4
وَمَا تَأْتِيه
ِم م ِّنْ ءَايَةٍ ۢم ِّنْ ءَايَٰ تِ رَبِّهِمْ إِلَّا كَانُوا۟ عَنْهَا مُعْرِضِي نَ ٤Wama ta/teehim min ayatin min ayatirabbihim illa kanoo AAanha muAArideen
There did not come to them any sign from among the signs of their Lord, but that they used to disregard it.Ali Quli Qarai
And no sign comes to them from the signs of their Lord except that they turn away therefrom.Saheeh International

6:5
فَقَ
دْ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِٱ لْحَقِّ لَمّ َا جَا ٓءَهُمْ ۖ فَسَوْفَ يَأْتِيهِمْ أَنۢب َٰٓ ؤُا۟ مَا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ يَسْتَهْزِءُو نَ ٥Faqad kaththaboo bilhaqqilamma jaahum fasawfa ya/teehim anbao makanoo bihi yastahzi-oon
They have certainly denied the truth when it came to them, but soon there will come to them the news of what they have been deriding.Ali Quli Qarai
For they had denied the truth when it came to them, but there is going to reach them the news of what they used to ridicule.Saheeh International

6:6
أَلَمْ يَرَوْ
ا۟ كَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا مِن ق َبْ لِهِم م ِّن ق َرْنٍ ۢم َّكَّنّ َٰ هُمْ فِىٱ لْأَرْضِ مَا لَمْ نُمَكِّن ل َّكُمْ وَأَرْسَلْنَاٱ ل سَّمَا ٓءَ عَلَيْهِم م ِّدْ رَارً ۭا و َجَعَلْنَاٱ لْأَنْهَٰ رَ تَجْ رِى مِن ت َحْتِهِمْ فَأَهْلَكْنَٰ هُم ب ِذُنُوبِهِمْ وَأَنش َأْنَا مِنۢ ب َعْدِهِمْ قَرْنًا ءَاخَرِي نَ ٦Alam yaraw kam ahlakna min qablihimmin qarnin makkannahum fee al-ardi ma lamnumakkin lakum waarsalna assamaa AAalayhimmidraran wajaAAalna al-anhara tajree min tahtihimfaahlaknahum bithunoobihim waansha/na minbaAAdihim qarnan akhareen
Have they not regarded how many a generation We have destroyed before them whom We had granted power in the land in respects that We did not grant you, and We sent abundant rains for them from the sky and made streams run for them? Then We destroyed them for their sins, and brought forth another generation after them.Ali Quli Qarai
Have they not seen how many generations We destroyed before them which We had established upon the earth as We have not established you? And We sent [rain from] the sky upon them in showers and made rivers flow beneath them; then We destroyed them for their sins and brought forth after them a generation of others.Saheeh International

6:7
وَلَوْ نَزَّلْنَا عَلَيْكَ كِتَ
ٰ بً ۭا ف ِى قِرْطَاسٍ ۢف َلَمَسُوهُ بِأَيْدِيهِمْ لَقَالَٱ لَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓ ا۟ إِنْ هَٰ ذَآ إِلَّا سِحْرٌ ۭم ُّبِي نٌۭ ٧Walaw nazzalna AAalayka kitabanfee qirtasin falamasoohu bi-aydeehim laqala allatheenakafaroo in hatha illa sihrun mubeen
Had We sent down to you a Book on paper so they could touch it with their [own] hands, [still] the faithless would have said, ‘This is nothing but plain magic.’Ali Quli Qarai
And even if We had sent down to you, [O Muḥammad], a written scripture on a page and they touched it with their hands, the disbelievers would say, "This is not but obvious magic."Saheeh International

6:8
وَقَالُو
ا۟ لَوْلَآ أُنز ِلَ عَلَيْهِ مَلَكٌ ۭۖ و َلَوْ أَنز َلْنَا مَلَكً ۭا ل َّقُضِىَٱ لْأَمْرُ ثُمّ َ لَا يُنظ َرُو نَ ٨Waqaloo lawla onzila AAalayhimalakun walaw anzalna malakan laqudiya al-amruthumma la yuntharoon
They say, ‘Why has not an angel been sent down to him?’ Were We to send down an angel, the matter would surely be decided, and then they would not be granted any respite.Ali Quli Qarai
And they say, "Why was there not sent down to him an angel?" But if We had sent down an angel, the matter would have been decided; then they would not be reprieved.Saheeh International

6:9
وَلَوْ جَعَلْنَ
ٰ هُ مَلَكً ۭا ل َّجَعَلْنَٰ هُ رَجُلً ۭاو َلَلَبَسْنَا عَلَيْهِم م َّا يَلْبِسُو نَ ٩Walaw jaAAalnahu malakan lajaAAalnahurajulan walalabasna AAalayhim ma yalbisoon
Had We made him an angel, We would have surely made him a man, and We would have surely confounded them just as they confound [the truth now].Ali Quli Qarai
And if We had made him [i.e., the messenger] an angel, We would have made him [appear as] a man, and We would have covered them with that in which they cover themselves [i.e., confusion and doubt].Saheeh International

6:10
وَلَقَدِ
ٱ سْتُهْزِئَ بِرُسُلٍ ۢم ِّن ق َبْ لِكَ فَحَاقَ بِٱ لَّذِينَ سَخِرُوا۟ مِنْهُم م َّا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ يَسْتَهْزِءُو نَ ١٠Walaqadi istuhzi-a birusulin min qablika fahaqabillatheena sakhiroo minhum ma kanoobihi yastahzi-oon
Apostles were certainly derided before you. Then those who ridiculed them were besieged by what they used to deride.Ali Quli Qarai
And already were messengers ridiculed before you, but those who mocked them were enveloped by that which they used to ridicule.Saheeh International

6:11
قُلْ سِيرُو
ا۟ فِىٱ لْأَرْضِ ثُمّ َٱ نظ ُرُوا۟ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَٰ قِبَةُٱ لْمُكَذِّبِي نَ ١١Qul seeroo fee al-ardi thumma onthurookayfa kana AAaqibatu almukaththibeen
Say, ‘Travel over the land, and then observe how was the fate of the deniers.’Ali Quli Qarai
Say, "Travel through the land; then observe how was the end of the deniers."Saheeh International

6:12
قُل لِّم
َن م َّا فِىٱ ل سَّمَٰ وَٰ تِ وَٱ لْأَرْضِ ۖ قُل لِّلَّهِ ۚ كَتَبَ عَلَىٰ نَفْسِهِٱ ل رَّحْمَةَ ۚ لَيَجْ مَعَنّ َكُمْ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِٱ لْقِيَٰ مَةِ لَا رَيْبَ فِيهِ ۚٱ لَّذِينَ خَسِرُوٓ ا۟ أَنف ُسَهُمْ فَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُو نَ ١٢Qul liman ma fee assamawatiwal-ardi qul lillahi kataba AAalanafsihi arrahmata layajmaAAannakum ilayawmi alqiyamati la rayba feehi allatheenakhasiroo anfusahum fahum la yu/minoon
Say, ‘To whom belongs whatever is in the heavens and the earth?’ Say, ‘To Allah. He has made mercy incumbent upon Himself. He will surely gather you on the Day of Resurrection, in which there is no doubt. Those who have ruined their souls will not have faith.’Ali Quli Qarai
Say, "To whom belongs whatever is in the heavens and earth?" Say, "To Allāh." He has decreed upon Himself mercy. He will surely assemble you for the Day of Resurrection, about which there is no doubt. Those who will lose themselves [that Day] do not believe.Saheeh International

6:13
۞ وَلَهُ
ۥ مَا سَكَنَ فِىٱ لَّيْلِ وَٱ ل نّ َهَارِ ۚ وَهُوَٱ ل سَّمِيعُٱ لْعَلِي مُ ١٣Walahu ma sakana fee allayli wannahariwahuwa assameeAAu alAAaleem
To Him belongs whatever abides in the night and the day, and He is the All-hearing, the All-knowing.Ali Quli Qarai
And to Him belongs that which reposes by night and by day, and He is the Hearing, the Knowing.Saheeh International

6:14
قُلْ أَغَيْرَ
ٱ للَّهِ أَتَّخِذُ وَلِيًّ ۭا ف َاطِرِٱ ل سَّمَٰ وَٰ تِ وَٱ لْأَرْضِ وَهُوَ يُطْ عِمُ وَلَا يُطْ عَمُ ۗ قُلْ إِنّ ِىٓ أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أَكُونَ أَوَّلَ مَنْ أَسْلَمَ ۖ وَلَا تَكُونَنّ َ مِنَٱ لْمُشْرِكِي نَ ١٤Qul aghayra Allahi attakhithuwaliyyan fatiri assamawati wal-ardiwahuwa yutAAimu wala yutAAamu qul inneeomirtu an akoona awwala man aslama wala takoonanna minaalmushrikeen
Say, ‘Shall I take for guardian [anyone] other than Allah, the originator of the heavens and the earth, who feeds and is not fed?’ Say, ‘I have been commanded to be the first of those who submit [to Allah], and [told,] “Never be one of the polytheists.” ’Ali Quli Qarai
Say, "Is it other than Allāh I should take as a protector, Creator of the heavens and earth, while it is He who feeds and is not fed?" Say, [O Muḥammad], "Indeed, I have been commanded to be the first [among you] who submit [to Allāh] and [was commanded], 'Do not ever be of the polytheists.'"Saheeh International

6:15
قُلْ إِ
نّ ِىٓ أَخَافُ إِنْ عَصَيْتُ رَبِّى عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِي مٍۢ ١٥Qul innee akhafu in AAasayturabbee AAathaba yawmin AAatheem
Say, ‘Indeed, should I disobey my Lord, I fear the punishment of a tremendous day.’Ali Quli Qarai
Say, "Indeed I fear, if I should disobey my Lord, the punishment of a tremendous Day."Saheeh International

6:16
مّ
َن ي ُصْرَفْ عَنْهُ يَوْمَئِذٍ ۢف َقَدْ رَحِمَهُۥ ۚ وَذَٰ لِكَٱ لْفَوْزُٱ لْمُبِي نُ ١٦Man yusraf AAanhu yawma-ithinfaqad rahimahu wathalika alfawzu almubeen
Whoever is spared of it on that day, He has certainly been merciful to him, and that is manifest success.Ali Quli Qarai
He from whom it is averted that Day - [Allāh] has granted him mercy. And that is the clear attainment.Saheeh International

6:17
وَإ
ِن ي َمْسَسْكَٱ للَّهُ بِضُرٍّ ۢف َلَا كَاشِفَ لَهُۥٓ إِلَّا هُوَ ۖ وَإِن ي َمْسَسْكَ بِخَيْرٍ ۢف َهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ ۢق َدِي رٌۭ ١٧Wa-in yamsaska Allahu bidurrinfala kashifa lahu illa huwa wa-in yamsaskabikhayrin fahuwa AAala kulli shay-in qadeer
Should Allah visit you with some distress there is no one to remove it except Him; and should He bring you some good, then He has power over all things.Ali Quli Qarai
And if Allāh should touch you with adversity, there is no remover of it except Him. And if He touches you with good - then He is over all things competent.Saheeh International

6:18
وَهُوَ
ٱ لْقَاهِرُ فَوْقَ عِبَادِهِۦ ۚ وَهُوَٱ لْحَكِيمُٱ لْخَبِي رُ ١٨Wahuwa alqahiru fawqa AAibadihiwahuwa alhakeemu alkhabeer
And He is the All-dominant over His servants, and He is the All-wise, the All-aware.Ali Quli Qarai
And He is the subjugator over His servants. And He is the Wise, the Aware.Saheeh International

6:19
قُلْ أَىُّ شَىْءٍ أَكْبَرُ شَهَ
ٰ دَةً ۭۖ ق ُلِٱ للَّهُ ۖ شَهِيدٌۢ ب َيْنِى وَبَيْنَكُمْ ۚ وَأُوحِىَ إِلَىَّ هَٰ ذَاٱ لْقُرْءَانُ لِأُنذ ِرَكُم ب ِهِۦ وَمَنۢ ب َلَغَ ۚ أَئِنّ َكُمْ لَتَشْهَدُونَ أَنّ َ مَعَٱ للَّهِ ءَالِهَةً أُخْرَىٰ ۚ قُل لَّآ أَشْهَدُ ۚ قُلْ إِنّ َمَا هُوَ إِلَٰ هٌ ۭو َٰ حِدٌ ۭو َإِنّ َنِى بَرِى ٓءٌ ۭم ِّمّ َا تُشْرِكُو نَ ١٩Qul ayyu shay-in akbaru shahadatanquli Allahu shaheedun baynee wabaynakum waoohiyailayya hatha alqur-anu li-onthirakum bihiwaman balagha a-innakum latashhadoona anna maAAa Allahi alihatanokhra qul la ashhadu qul innama huwa ilahunwahidun wa-innanee baree-on mimma tushrikoon
Say, ‘What thing is greatest as witness?’ Say, ‘Allah! [He is] witness between me and you, and this Quran has been revealed to me that I may warn thereby you and whomever it may reach.’ ‘Do you indeed bear witness that there are other gods besides Allah?’ Say, ‘I do not bear witness [to any such thing].’ Say, ‘Indeed He is the One God, and I indeed disown what you associate [with Him].’Ali Quli Qarai
Say, "What thing is greatest in testimony?" Say, "Allāh is witness between me and you. And this Qur’ān was revealed to me that I may warn you thereby and whomever it reaches. Do you [truly] testify that with Allāh there are other deities?" Say, "I will not testify [with you]." Say, "Indeed, He is but one God, and indeed, I am free of what you associate [with Him]."Saheeh International

6:20
ٱلَّذِينَ ءَاتَيْنَ
ٰ هُمُٱ لْكِتَٰ بَ يَعْرِفُونَهُۥ كَمَا يَعْرِفُونَ أَبْ نَا ٓءَهُمُ ۘٱ لَّذِينَ خَسِرُوٓ ا۟ أَنف ُسَهُمْ فَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُو نَ ٢٠Allatheena ataynahumualkitaba yaAArifoonahu kama yaAArifoona abnaahumallatheena khasiroo anfusahum fahum la yu/minoon
Those whom We have given the Book recognize him just as they recognize their sons. Those who have ruined their souls will not have faith.Ali Quli Qarai
Those to whom We have given the Scripture recognize it as they recognize their [own] sons. Those who will lose themselves [in the Hereafter] do not believe.Saheeh International
-
6:21
وَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِ
مّ َنِٱ فْتَرَىٰ عَلَىٱ للَّهِ كَذِبًا أَوْ كَذَّبَ بَِٔايَٰ تِهِۦٓ ۗ إِنّ َهُۥ لَا يُفْلِحُٱ ل ظَّٰ لِمُو نَ ٢١Waman athlamu mimmani iftaraAAala Allahi kathiban aw kaththababi-ayatihi innahu la yuflihu aththalimoon
Who is a greater wrongdoer than him who fabricates a lie against Allah, or denies His signs? Indeed the wrongdoers will not be felicitous.Ali Quli Qarai
And who is more unjust than one who invents about Allāh a lie or denies His verses? Indeed, the wrongdoers will not succeed.Saheeh International
-
6:22
وَيَوْمَ نَحْشُرُهُمْ جَمِي
عً ۭا ث ُمّ َ نَقُولُ لِلَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُوٓ ا۟ أَيْنَ شُرَكَا ٓؤُكُمُٱ لَّذِينَ كُنت ُمْ تَزْعُمُو نَ ٢٢Wayawma nahshuruhum jameeAAan thummanaqoolu lillatheena ashrakoo ayna shurakaokumu allatheenakuntum tazAAumoon
On the day when We gather them all together, We shall say to those who ascribed partners [to Allah] ‘Where are your partners that you used to claim?’Ali Quli Qarai
And [mention, O Muḥammad], the Day We will gather them all together; then We will say to those who associated others with Allāh, "Where are your 'partners' that you used to claim [with Him]?"Saheeh International

6:23
ثُ
مّ َ لَمْ تَكُن ف ِتْنَتُهُمْ إِلَّآ أَن ق َالُوا۟ وَٱ للَّهِ رَبِّنَا مَا كُنّ َا مُشْرِكِي نَ ٢٣Thumma lam takun fitnatuhum illa an qaloowallahi rabbina ma kunnamushrikeen
Then their only excuse will be to say, ‘By Allah, our Lord, we were not polytheists.’Ali Quli Qarai
Then there will be no [excuse upon] examination except they will say, "By Allāh, our Lord, we were not those who associated."Saheeh International
-
6:24
ٱ
نظ ُرْ كَيْفَ كَذَبُوا۟ عَلَىٰٓ أَنف ُسِهِمْ ۚ وَضَلَّ عَنْهُم م َّا كَانُوا۟ يَفْتَرُو نَ ٢٤Onthur kayfa kathabooAAala anfusihim wadalla AAanhum ma kanooyaftaroon
Look, how they forswear themselves, and what they used to fabricate has forsaken them!Ali Quli Qarai
See how they will lie about themselves. And lost from them will be what they used to invent.Saheeh International
-
6:25
وَمِنْه
ُم م َّن ي َسْتَمِعُ إِلَيْكَ ۖ وَجَعَلْنَا عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ أَكِنّ َةً أَن ي َفْقَهُوهُ وَفِىٓ ءَاذَانِهِمْ وَقْ رً ۭا ۚ و َإِن ي َرَوْا۟ كُلَّ ءَايَةٍ ۢل َّا يُؤْمِنُوا۟ بِهَا ۚ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا جَا ٓءُوكَ يُجَٰ دِلُونَكَ يَقُولُٱ لَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓ ا۟ إِنْ هَٰ ذَآ إِلَّآ أَسَٰ طِيرُٱ لْأَوَّلِي نَ ٢٥Waminhum man yastamiAAu ilayka wajaAAalnaAAala quloobihim akinnatan an yafqahoohu wafee athanihimwaqran wa-in yaraw kulla ayatin la yu/minoo bihahatta itha jaooka yujadiloonakayaqoolu allatheena kafaroo in hatha illa asateerual-awwaleen
There are some of them who prick up their ears at you, but We have cast veils on their hearts lest they should understand it, and a deafness into their ears; and though they should see every sign, they will not believe in it. When they come to you, to dispute with you, the faithless say, ‘These are nothing but myths of the ancients.’Ali Quli Qarai
And among them are those who listen to you, but We have placed over their hearts coverings, lest they understand it, and in their ears deafness. And if they should see every sign, they will not believe in it. Even when they come to you arguing with you, those who disbelieve say, "This is not but legends of the former peoples."Saheeh International

6:26
وَهُمْ يَنْهَوْنَ عَنْهُ وَيَنَْٔوْنَ عَنْهُ ۖ وَإ
ِن ي ُهْلِكُونَ إِلَّآ أَنف ُسَهُمْ وَمَا يَشْعُرُو نَ ٢٦Wahum yanhawna AAanhu wayan-awna AAanhuwa-in yuhlikoona illa anfusahum wama yashAAuroon
They dissuade [others] from [following] him, and [themselves] avoid him; yet they destroy no one except themselves, but they are not aware.Ali Quli Qarai
And they prevent [others] from him and are [themselves] remote from him. And they do not destroy except themselves, but they perceive [it] not.Saheeh International
-
6:27
وَلَوْ تَرَ
ىٰٓ إِذْ وُقِفُوا۟ عَلَىٱ ل نّ َارِ فَقَالُوا۟ يَٰ لَيْتَنَا نُرَدُّ وَلَا نُكَذِّبَ بَِٔايَٰ تِ رَبِّنَا وَنَكُونَ مِنَٱ لْمُؤْمِنِي نَ ٢٧Walaw tara ith wuqifoo AAalaannari faqaloo ya laytananuraddu wala nukaththiba bi-ayatirabbina wanakoona mina almu/mineen
Were you to see when they are brought to a halt by the Fire, whereupon they will say, ‘If only we were sent back [into the world]! Then we will not deny the signs of our Lord, and we will be among the faithful!’Ali Quli Qarai
If you could but see when they are made to stand before the Fire and will say, "Oh, would that we could be returned [to life on earth] and not deny the signs of our Lord and be among the believers."Saheeh International

6:28
بَلْ بَدَا لَه
ُم م َّا كَانُوا۟ يُخْفُونَ مِن ق َبْ لُ ۖ وَلَوْ رُدُّوا۟ لَعَادُوا۟ لِمَا نُهُوا۟ عَنْهُ وَإِنّ َهُمْ لَكَٰ ذِبُو نَ ٢٨Bal bada lahum ma kanooyukhfoona min qablu walaw ruddoo laAAadoo limanuhoo AAanhu wa-innahum lakathiboon
Indeed, what they used to hide before has now become evident to them. But were they to be sent back they would revert to what they were forbidden, and they are indeed liars.Ali Quli Qarai
But what they concealed before has [now] appeared to them. And even if they were returned, they would return to that which they were forbidden; and indeed, they are liars.Saheeh International

6:29
وَقَال
ُوٓ ا۟ إِنْ هِىَ إِلَّا حَيَاتُنَاٱ ل دُّنْيَا وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمَبْ عُوثِي نَ ٢٩Waqaloo in hiya illa hayatunaaddunya wama nahnu bimabAAootheen
They say, ‘There is nothing but our life of this world, and we shall not be resurrected.’Ali Quli Qarai
And they say, "There is none but our worldly life, and we will not be resurrected."Saheeh International

6:30
وَلَوْ تَرَ
ىٰٓ إِذْ وُقِفُوا۟ عَلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ ۚ قَالَ أَلَيْسَ هَٰ ذَا بِٱ لْحَقِّ ۚ قَالُوا۟ بَلَىٰ وَرَبِّنَا ۚ قَالَ فَذُوقُوا۟ ٱ لْعَذَابَ بِمَا كُنت ُمْ تَكْفُرُو نَ ٣٠Walaw tara ith wuqifoo AAalarabbihim qala alaysa hatha bilhaqqiqaloo bala warabbina qala fathooqooalAAathaba bima kuntum takfuroon
Were you to see when they are brought to a halt before their Lord. He will say, ‘Is this not a fact?’ They will say, ‘Yes, by our Lord!’ He will say, ‘So taste the punishment because of what you used to deny.’Ali Quli Qarai
If you could but see when they will be made to stand before their Lord. He will say, "Is this not the truth?" They will say, "Yes, by our Lord." He will [then] say, "So taste the punishment for what you used to deny."Saheeh International

6:31
قَ
دْ خَسِرَٱ لَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِلِقَا ٓءِٱ للَّهِ ۖ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا جَا ٓءَتْهُمُٱ ل سَّاعَةُ بَغْتَةً ۭق َالُوا۟ يَٰ حَسْرَتَنَا عَلَىٰ مَا فَرَّطْ نَا فِيهَا وَهُمْ يَحْمِلُونَ أَوْزَارَهُمْ عَلَىٰ ظُهُورِهِمْ ۚ أَلَا سَا ٓءَ مَا يَزِرُو نَ ٣١Qad khasira allatheena kaththaboobiliqa-i Allahi hatta itha jaat-humuassaAAatu baghtatan qaloo ya hasratanaAAala ma farratna feeha wahumyahmiloona awzarahum AAala thuhoorihimala saa ma yaziroon
They are certainly losers who deny the encounter with Allah. When the Hour overtakes them suddenly, they will say, ‘Alas for us, for what we neglected in it!’ And they will bear their burdens on their backs. Look! Evil is what they bear!Ali Quli Qarai
Those will have lost who deny the meeting with Allāh, until when the Hour [of resurrection] comes upon them unexpectedly, they will say, "Oh, [how great is] our regret over what we neglected concerning it [i.e., the Hour]," while they bear their burdens [i.e., sins] on their backs. Unquestionably, evil is that which they bear.Saheeh International

6:32
وَمَا
ٱ لْحَيَو ٰ ةُٱ ل دُّنْيَآ إِلَّا لَعِبٌ ۭو َلَهْوٌ ۭۖ و َلَلدَّارُٱ لَْٔاخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ ۭل ِّلَّذِينَ يَتَّقُونَ ۗ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُو نَ ٣٢Wama alhayatu addunyailla laAAibun walahwun waladdaru al-akhiratikhayrun lillatheena yattaqoona afala taAAqiloon
The life of the world is nothing but play and diversion, and the abode of the Hereafter is surely better for those who are Godwary. Do you not exercise your reason?Ali Quli Qarai
And the worldly life is not but amusement and diversion; but the home of the Hereafter is best for those who fear Allāh, so will you not reason?Saheeh International

6:33
قَ
دْ نَعْلَمُ إِنّ َهُۥ لَيَحْزُنُكَٱ لَّذِى يَقُولُونَ ۖ فَإِنّ َهُمْ لَا يُكَذِّبُونَكَ وَلَٰ كِنّ َٱ ل ظَّٰ لِمِينَ بَِٔايَٰ تِٱ للَّهِ يَجْ حَدُو نَ ٣٣Qad naAAlamu innahu layahzunuka allatheeyaqooloona fa-innahum la yukaththiboonaka walakinnaaththalimeena bi-ayatiAllahi yajhadoon
We certainly know that what they say grieves you. Yet it is not you that they deny, but it is Allah’s signs that the wrongdoers impugn.Ali Quli Qarai
We know that you, [O Muḥammad], are saddened by what they say. And indeed, they do not call you untruthful, but it is the verses of Allāh that the wrongdoers reject.Saheeh International

6:34
وَلَقَ
دْ كُذِّبَتْ رُسُلٌ ۭم ِّن ق َبْ لِكَ فَصَبَرُوا۟ عَلَىٰ مَا كُذِّبُوا۟ وَأُوذُوا۟ حَتَّىٰٓ أَتَىٰ هُمْ نَصْرُنَا ۚ وَلَا مُبَدِّلَ لِكَلِمَٰ تِٱ للَّهِ ۚ وَلَقَدْ جَا ٓءَكَ مِن ن َّبَإِى۟ ٱ لْمُرْسَلِي نَ ٣٤Walaqad kuththibat rusulun minqablika fasabaroo AAala ma kuththiboowaoothoo hatta atahum nasrunawala mubaddila likalimati Allahi walaqad jaakamin naba-i almursaleen
Apostles were certainly denied before you, yet they patiently bore being denied and tormented until Our help came to them. Nothing can change the words of Allah, and there have certainly come to you some of the accounts of the apostles.Ali Quli Qarai
And certainly were messengers denied before you, but they were patient over the denial, and they were harmed until Our victory came to them. And none can alter the words [i.e., decrees] of Allāh. And there has certainly come to you some information about the [previous] messengers.Saheeh International

6:35
وَإِ
ن ك َانَ كَبُرَ عَلَيْكَ إِعْرَاضُهُمْ فَإِنِٱ سْتَطَعْتَ أَن ت َبْ تَغِىَ نَفَقً ۭا ف ِىٱ لْأَرْضِ أَوْ سُلَّمً ۭا ف ِىٱ ل سَّمَا ٓءِ فَتَأْتِيَهُم ب َِٔايَةٍ ۢۚ و َلَوْ شَا ٓءَٱ للَّهُ لَجَمَعَهُمْ عَلَىٱ لْهُدَىٰ ۚ فَلَا تَكُونَنّ َ مِنَٱ لْجَٰ هِلِي نَ ٣٥Wa-in kana kabura AAalayka iAAraduhumfa-ini istataAAta an tabtaghiya nafaqan fee al-ardiaw sullaman fee assama-i fata/tiyahum bi-ayatinwalaw shaa Allahu lajamaAAahum AAala alhudafala takoonanna mina aljahileen
And should their aversion be hard on you, find, if you can, a tunnel into the ground, or a ladder into sky, that you may bring them a sign. Had Allah wished, He would have brought them together on guidance. So do not be one of the ignorant.Ali Quli Qarai
And if their evasion is difficult for you, then if you are able to seek a tunnel into the earth or a stairway into the sky to bring them a sign, [then do so]. But if Allāh had willed, He would have united them upon guidance. So never be of the ignorant.Saheeh International

6:36
۞ إِ
نّ َمَا يَسْتَجِيبُٱ لَّذِينَ يَسْمَعُونَ ۘ وَٱ لْمَوْتَىٰ يَبْ عَثُهُمُٱ للَّهُ ثُمّ َ إِلَيْهِ يُرْجَعُو نَ ٣٦Innama yastajeebu allatheenayasmaAAoona walmawta yabAAathuhumu Allahuthumma ilayhi yurjaAAoon
Only those who listen will respond [to you]. As for the dead, Allah will resurrect them, then they will be brought back to Him.Ali Quli Qarai
Only those who hear will respond. But the dead - Allāh will resurrect them; then to Him they will be returned.Saheeh International
-
6:37
وَقَالُو
ا۟ لَوْلَا نُزِّلَ عَلَيْهِ ءَايَةٌ ۭم ِّن ر َّبِّهِۦ ۚ قُلْ إِنّ َٱ للَّهَ قَادِرٌ عَلَىٰٓ أَن ي ُنَزِّلَ ءَايَةً ۭو َلَٰ كِنّ َ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُو نَ ٣٧Waqaloo lawla nuzzila AAalayhiayatun min rabbihi qul inna Allaha qadirunAAala an yunazzila ayatan walakinnaaktharahum la yaAAlamoon
They say, ‘Why has not a sign been sent down to him from his Lord?’ Say, ‘Allah is indeed able to send down a sign,’ but most of them do not know.Ali Quli Qarai
And they say, "Why has a sign not been sent down to him from his Lord?" Say, "Indeed, Allāh is Able to send down a sign, but most of them do not know."Saheeh International

6:38
وَمَا مِ
ن د َا ٓبَّةٍ ۢف ِىٱ لْأَرْضِ وَلَا طَٰٓ ئِرٍ ۢي َطِيرُ بِجَنَاحَيْهِ إِلَّآ أُمَمٌ أَمْثَالُكُم ۚ م َّا فَرَّطْ نَا فِىٱ لْكِتَٰ بِ مِن شَىْءٍ ۢۚ ث ُمّ َ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ يُحْشَرُو نَ ٣٨Wama min dabbatin fee al-ardiwala ta-irin yateeru bijanahayhi illaomamun amthalukum ma farratna feealkitabi min shay-in thumma ila rabbihim yuhsharoon
There is no animal on land, nor a bird that flies with its wings, but they are communities like yourselves. We have not omitted anything from the Book. Then they will be mustered toward their Lord.Ali Quli Qarai
And there is no creature on [or within] the earth or bird that flies with its wings except [that they are] communities like you. We have not neglected in the Register a thing. Then unto their Lord they will be gathered.Saheeh International

6:39
وَ
ٱ لَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا۟ بَِٔايَٰ تِنَا صُمٌّ ۭو َبُكْمٌ ۭف ِىٱ ل ظُّلُمَٰ تِ ۗ مَن ي َشَإِٱ للَّهُ يُضْلِلْهُ وَمَن ي َشَأْ يَجْ عَلْهُ عَلَىٰ صِرَٰ طٍ ۢم ُّسْتَقِي مٍۢ ٣٩Wallatheena kaththaboobi-ayatina summun wabukmun fee aththulumatiman yasha-i Allahu yudlilhu waman yasha/ yajAAalhuAAala siratin mustaqeem
Those who deny Our signs are deaf and dumb, in a manifold darkness. Allah leads astray whomever He wishes, and whomever He wishes He puts him on a straight path.Ali Quli Qarai
But those who deny Our verses are deaf and dumb within darknesses. Whomever Allāh wills - He sends astray; and whomever He wills - He puts him on a straight path.Saheeh International

6:40
قُلْ أَرَءَيْتَكُمْ إِنْ أَتَى
ٰ كُمْ عَذَابُٱ للَّهِ أَوْ أَتَتْكُمُٱ ل سَّاعَةُ أَغَيْرَٱ للَّهِ تَدْ عُونَ إِن ك ُنت ُمْ صَٰ دِقِي نَ ٤٠Qul araaytakum in atakum AAathabuAllahi aw atatkumu assaAAatu aghayra AllahitadAAoona in kuntum sadiqeen
Say, ‘Tell me, should Allah’s punishment overtake you, or should the Hour overtake you, will you supplicate anyone other than Allah, should you be truthful?Ali Quli Qarai
Say, "Have you considered: if there came to you the punishment of Allāh or there came to you the Hour - is it other than Allāh you would invoke, if you should be truthful?"Saheeh International
-
6:41
بَلْ إِيَّاهُ تَ
دْ عُونَ فَيَكْشِفُ مَا تَدْ عُونَ إِلَيْهِ إِن ش َا ٓءَ وَتَنس َوْنَ مَا تُشْرِكُو نَ ٤١Bal iyyahu tadAAoona fayakshifu matadAAoona ilayhi in shaa watansawna ma tushrikoon
No, Him you will supplicate, and He will remove that for which you supplicated Him, if He wishes, and you will forget what you ascribe [to Him] as [His] partners.’Ali Quli Qarai
No, it is Him [alone] you would invoke, and He would remove that for which you invoked Him if He willed, and you would forget what you associate [with Him].Saheeh International
-
6:42
وَلَقَ
دْ أَرْسَلْنَآ إِلَىٰٓ أُمَمٍ ۢم ِّن ق َبْ لِكَ فَأَخَذْنَٰ هُم ب ِٱ لْبَأْسَا ٓءِ وَٱ ل ضَّرَّا ٓءِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَضَرَّعُو نَ ٤٢Walaqad arsalna ila omamin minqablika faakhathnahum bilba/sa-i waddarra-ilaAAallahum yatadarraAAoon
We have certainly sent [apostles] to nations before you, then We seized them with stress and distress so that they might entreat [Us].Ali Quli Qarai
And We have already sent [messengers] to nations before you, [O Muḥammad]; then We seized them with poverty and hardship that perhaps they might humble themselves [to Us].Saheeh International
-
6:43
فَلَوْل
َآ إِذْ جَا ٓءَهُم ب َأْسُنَا تَضَرَّعُوا۟ وَلَٰ كِن ق َسَتْ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَزَيَّنَ لَهُمُٱ ل شَّيْطَٰ نُ مَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُو نَ ٤٣Falawla ith jaahumba/suna tadarraAAoo walakin qasat quloobuhumwazayyana lahumu ashshaytanu ma kanooyaAAmaloon
Why did they not entreat when Our punishment overtook them! But their hearts had hardened, and Satan had made what they had been doing seem decorous to them.Ali Quli Qarai
Then why, when Our punishment came to them, did they not humble themselves? But their hearts became hardened, and Satan made attractive to them that which they were doing.Saheeh International

6:44
فَلَ
مّ َا نَسُوا۟ مَا ذُكِّرُوا۟ بِهِۦ فَتَحْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ أَبْ وَٰ بَ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا فَرِحُوا۟ بِمَآ أُوتُوٓ ا۟ أَخَذْنَٰ هُم ب َغْتَةً ۭف َإِذَا هُم م ُّبْ لِسُو نَ ٤٤Falamma nasoo ma thukkiroobihi fatahna AAalayhim abwaba kulli shay-in hattaitha farihoo bima ootoo akhathnahumbaghtatan fa-itha hum mublisoon
So when they forgot what they had been admonished of, We opened for them the gates of all [good] things. When they became proud of what they were given, We seized them suddenly, whereat, behold, they were despondent.Ali Quli Qarai
So when they forgot that by which they had been reminded, We opened to them the doors of every [good] thing until, when they rejoiced in that which they were given, We seized them suddenly, and they were [then] in despair.Saheeh International
-
6:45
فَقُطِعَ دَابِرُ
ٱ لْقَوْمِٱ لَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ ۚ وَٱ لْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّٱ لْعَٰ لَمِي نَ ٤٥FaqutiAAa dabiru alqawmi allatheenathalamoo walhamdu lillahirabbi alAAalameen
Thus the wrongdoing lot were rooted out, and all praise belongs to Allah, the Lord of all the worlds.Ali Quli Qarai
So the people that committed wrong were eliminated. And praise to Allāh, Lord of the worlds.Saheeh International
-
6:46
قُلْ أَرَءَيْتُمْ إِنْ أَخَذَ
ٱ للَّهُ سَمْعَكُمْ وَأَبْ صَٰ رَكُمْ وَخَتَمَ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِكُم م َّنْ إِلَٰ هٌ غَيْرُٱ للَّهِ يَأْتِيكُم ب ِهِ ۗٱ نظ ُرْ كَيْفَ نُصَرِّفُٱ لَْٔايَٰ تِ ثُمّ َ هُمْ يَصْدِفُو نَ ٤٦Qul araaytum in akhatha AllahusamAAakum waabsarakum wakhatama AAala quloobikumman ilahun ghayru Allahi ya/teekum bihi onthurkayfa nusarrifu al-ayati thumma hum yasdifoon
Say, ‘Tell me, should Allah take away your hearing and your sight and set a seal on your hearts, which god other than Allah can bring it [back] to you?’ Look, how We paraphrase the signs variously; nevertheless they turn away.Ali Quli Qarai
Say, "Have you considered: if Allāh should take away your hearing and your sight and set a seal upon your hearts, which deity other than Allāh could bring them [back] to you?" Look how We diversify the verses; then they [still] turn away.Saheeh International
-
6:47
قُلْ أَرَءَيْتَكُمْ إِنْ أَتَى
ٰ كُمْ عَذَابُٱ للَّهِ بَغْتَةً أَوْ جَهْرَةً هَلْ يُهْلَكُ إِلَّاٱ لْقَوْمُٱ ل ظَّٰ لِمُو نَ ٤٧Qul araaytakum in atakum AAathabuAllahi baghtatan aw jahratan hal yuhlaku illaalqawmu aththalimoon
Say, ‘Tell me, should Allah’s punishment overtake you suddenly or visibly, will anyone be destroyed except the wrongdoing lot?’Ali Quli Qarai
Say, "Have you considered: if the punishment of Allāh should come to you unexpectedly or manifestly, will any be destroyed but the wrongdoing people?"Saheeh International

6:48
وَمَا نُرْسِلُ
ٱ لْمُرْسَلِينَ إِلَّا مُبَشِّرِينَ وَمُنذ ِرِينَ ۖ فَمَنْ ءَامَنَ وَأَصْلَحَ فَلَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُو نَ ٤٨Wama nursilu almursaleena illamubashshireena wamunthireena faman amana waaslahafala khawfun AAalayhim wala hum yahzanoon
We do not send the apostles except as bearers of good news and warners. As for those who are faithful and righteous, they will have no fear, nor will they grieve.Ali Quli Qarai
And We send not the messengers except as bringers of good tidings and warners. So whoever believes and reforms - there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve.Saheeh International

6:49
وَ
ٱ لَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا۟ بَِٔايَٰ تِنَا يَمَسُّهُمُٱ لْعَذَابُ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَفْسُقُو نَ ٤٩Wallatheena kaththaboobi-ayatina yamassuhumu alAAathabu bimakanoo yafsuqoon
But as for those who deny Our signs, the punishment shall befall them because of the transgressions they used to commit.Ali Quli Qarai
But those who deny Our verses - the punishment will touch them for their defiant disobedience.Saheeh International
-
6:50
قُل لّ
َآ أَقُولُ لَكُمْ عِند ِى خَزَا ٓئِنُٱ للَّهِ وَلَآ أَعْلَمُٱ لْغَيْبَ وَلَآ أَقُولُ لَكُمْ إِنّ ِى مَلَكٌ ۖ إِنْ أَتَّبِعُ إِلَّا مَا يُوحَىٰٓ إِلَىَّ ۚ قُلْ هَلْ يَسْتَوِىٱ لْأَعْمَىٰ وَٱ لْبَصِيرُ ۚ أَفَلَا تَتَفَكَّرُو نَ ٥٠Qul la aqoolu lakum AAindee khaza-inuAllahi wala aAAlamu alghayba wala aqoolulakum innee malakun in attabiAAu illa ma yoohailayya qul hal yastawee al-aAAma walbaseeruafala tatafakkaroon
Say, ‘I do not say to you that I possess the treasuries of Allah, nor do I know the Unseen, nor do I say to you that I am an angel. I follow only what is revealed to me.’ Say, ‘Are the blind one and the seer equal? So do you not reflect?’Ali Quli Qarai
Say, [O Muḥammad], "I do not tell you that I have the depositories [containing the provision] of Allāh or that I know the unseen, nor do I tell you that I am an angel. I only follow what is revealed to me." Say, "Is the blind equivalent to the seeing? Then will you not give thought?"Saheeh International
-
6:51
وَأَ
نذ ِرْ بِهِٱ لَّذِينَ يَخَافُونَ أَن ي ُحْشَرُوٓ ا۟ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ ۙ لَيْسَ لَهُم م ِّن د ُونِهِۦ وَلِىٌّ ۭو َلَا شَفِيعٌ ۭل َّعَلَّهُمْ يَتَّقُو نَ ٥١Waanthir bihi allatheena yakhafoonaan yuhsharoo ila rabbihim laysa lahum min doonihiwaliyyun wala shafeeAAun laAAallahum yattaqoon
And warn by its means those who fear being mustered toward their Lord, besides whom they shall have neither any guardian nor any intercessor, so that they may be Godwary.Ali Quli Qarai
And warn by it [i.e., the Qur’ān] those who fear that they will be gathered before their Lord - for them besides Him will be no protector and no intercessor - that they might become righteous.Saheeh International

6:52
وَلَا تَ
طْ رُدِٱ لَّذِينَ يَدْ عُونَ رَبَّهُم ب ِٱ لْغَدَو ٰ ةِ وَٱ لْعَشِىِّ يُرِيدُونَ وَجْ هَهُۥ ۖ مَا عَلَيْكَ مِنْ حِسَابِهِم م ِّن ش َىْءٍ ۢو َمَا مِنْ حِسَابِكَ عَلَيْهِم م ِّن شَىْءٍ ۢف َتَطْ رُدَهُمْ فَتَكُونَ مِنَٱ ل ظَّٰ لِمِي نَ ٥٢Wala tatrudi allatheenayadAAoona rabbahum bilghadati walAAashiyyiyureedoona wajhahu ma AAalayka min hisabihimmin shay-in wama min hisabika AAalayhim minshay-in fatatrudahum fatakoona mina aththalimeen
Do not drive away those who supplicate their Lord morning and evening desiring His face. Neither are you accountable for them in any way, nor are they accountable for you in any way, so that you may drive them away and thus become one of the wrongdoers.Ali Quli Qarai
And do not send away those who call upon their Lord morning and afternoon, seeking His face [i.e., favor]. Not upon you is anything of their account and not upon them is anything of your account. So were you to send them away, you would [then] be of the wrongdoers.Saheeh International

6:53
وَكَذَ
ٰ لِكَ فَتَنّ َا بَعْضَهُم ب ِبَعْضٍ ۢل ِّيَقُولُوٓ ا۟ أَهَٰٓ ؤُلَا ٓءِ مَنّ َٱ للَّهُ عَلَيْهِم م ِّنۢ ب َيْنِنَآ ۗ أَلَيْسَٱ للَّهُ بِأَعْلَمَ بِٱ ل شَّٰ كِرِي نَ ٥٣Wakathalika fatanna baAAdahumbibaAAdin liyaqooloo ahaola-i manna AllahuAAalayhim min baynina alaysa Allahu bi-aAAlama bishshakireen
Thus do We test them by means of one another so that they should say, ‘Are these the ones whom Allah has favoured from among us?!’ Does not Allah know best the grateful?!Ali Quli Qarai
And thus We have tried some of them through others that they [i.e., the disbelievers] might say, "Is it these whom Allāh has favored among us?" Is not Allāh most knowing of those who are grateful?Saheeh International

6:54
وَإِذَا ج
َا ٓءَكَٱ لَّذِينَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بَِٔايَٰ تِنَا فَقُلْ سَلَٰ مٌ عَلَيْكُمْ ۖ كَتَبَ رَبُّكُمْ عَلَىٰ نَفْسِهِٱ ل رَّحْمَةَ ۖ أَنّ َهُۥ مَنْ عَمِلَ مِنك ُمْ سُو ٓءًۢا ب ِجَهَٰ لَةٍ ۢث ُمّ َ تَابَ مِنۢ ب َعْدِهِۦ وَأَصْلَحَ فَأَنّ َهُۥ غَفُورٌ ۭر َّحِي مٌۭ ٥٤Wa-itha jaaka allatheenayu/minoona bi-ayatina faqul salamunAAalaykum kataba rabbukum AAala nafsihi arrahmataannahu man AAamila minkum soo-an bijahalatin thumma tabamin baAAdihi waaslaha faannahu ghafoorun raheem
When those who have faith in Our signs come to you, say, ‘Peace to you! Your Lord has made mercy incumbent upon Himself: whoever of you commits an evil [deed] out of ignorance and then repents after that and reforms, then He is indeed all-forgiving, all-merciful.’Ali Quli Qarai
And when those come to you who believe in Our verses, say, "Peace be upon you. Your Lord has decreed upon Himself mercy: that any of you who does wrong out of ignorance and then repents after that and corrects himself - indeed, He is Forgiving and Merciful."Saheeh International

6:55
وَكَذَ
ٰ لِكَ نُفَصِّلُٱ لَْٔايَٰ تِ وَلِتَسْتَبِينَ سَبِيلُٱ لْمُجْ رِمِي نَ ٥٥Wakathalika nufassilu al-ayatiwalitastabeena sabeelu almujrimeen
Thus do We elaborate the signs, so that the way of the guilty may be exposed.Ali Quli Qarai
And thus do We detail the verses, and [thus] the way of the criminals will become evident.Saheeh International

6:56
قُلْ إِ
نّ ِى نُهِيتُ أَنْ أَعْبُدَٱ لَّذِينَ تَدْ عُونَ مِن د ُونِٱ للَّهِ ۚ قُل لَّآ أَتَّبِعُ أَهْوَا ٓءَكُمْ ۙ قَدْ ضَلَلْتُ إِذً ۭا و َمَآ أَنَا۠ مِنَٱ لْمُهْتَدِي نَ ٥٦Qul innee nuheetu an aAAbuda allatheenatadAAoona min dooni Allahi qul la attabiAAu ahwaakumqad dalaltu ithan wama ana minaalmuhtadeen
Say, ‘I have been forbidden to worship those whom you invoke besides Allah.’ Say, ‘I do not follow your desires, for then I will have gone astray, and I will not be among the [rightly] guided.’Ali Quli Qarai
Say, "Indeed, I have been forbidden to worship those you invoke besides Allāh." Say, "I will not follow your desires, for I would then have gone astray, and I would not be of the [rightly] guided."Saheeh International

6:57
قُلْ إِ
نّ ِى عَلَىٰ بَيِّنَةٍ ۢم ِّن ر َّبِّى وَكَذَّبْ تُم ب ِهِۦ ۚ مَا عِند ِى مَا تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ بِهِۦٓ ۚ إِنِٱ لْحُكْمُ إِلَّا لِلَّهِ ۖ يَقُصُّٱ لْحَقَّ ۖ وَهُوَ خَيْرُٱ لْفَٰ صِلِي نَ ٥٧Qul innee AAala bayyinatin min rabbeewakaththabtum bihi ma AAindee matastaAAjiloona bihi ini alhukmu illa lillahiyaqussu alhaqqa wahuwa khayru alfasileen
Say, ‘Indeed I stand on a manifest proof from my Lord and you have denied it. What you seek to hasten is not up to me. Judgement belongs only to Allah; He expounds the truth and He is the best of judges.’Ali Quli Qarai
Say, "Indeed, I am on clear evidence from my Lord, and you have denied it. I do not have that for which you are impatient. The decision is only for Allāh. He relates the truth, and He is the best of deciders."Saheeh International

6:58
قُل لَّوْ أَ
نّ َ عِند ِى مَا تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ بِهِۦ لَقُضِىَٱ لْأَمْرُ بَيْنِى وَبَيْنَكُمْ ۗ وَٱ للَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِٱ ل ظَّٰ لِمِي نَ ٥٨Qul law anna AAindee matastaAAjiloona bihi laqudiya al-amru baynee wabaynakum wallahuaAAlamu biththalimeen
Say, ‘If what you seek to hasten were with me, the matter would surely have been decided between you and me, and Allah knows best the wrongdoers.’Ali Quli Qarai
Say, "If I had that for which you are impatient, the matter would have been decided between me and you, but Allāh is most knowing of the wrongdoers."Saheeh International

6:59
۞ وَعِ
ند َهُۥ مَفَاتِحُٱ لْغَيْبِ لَا يَعْلَمُهَآ إِلَّا هُوَ ۚ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا فِىٱ لْبَرِّ وَٱ لْبَحْرِ ۚ وَمَا تَسْقُطُ مِن و َرَقَةٍ إِلَّا يَعْلَمُهَا وَلَا حَبَّةٍ ۢف ِى ظُلُمَٰ تِٱ لْأَرْضِ وَلَا رَطْ بٍ ۢو َلَا يَابِسٍ إِلَّا فِى كِتَٰ بٍ ۢم ُّبِي نٍۢ ٥٩WaAAindahu mafatihu alghaybi layaAAlamuha illa huwa wayaAAlamu ma feealbarri walbahri wama tasqutu minwaraqatin illa yaAAlamuha wala habbatinfee thulumati al-ardi wala ratbinwala yabisin illa fee kitabin mubeen
With Him are the treasures of the Unseen; no one knows them except Him. He knows whatever there is in land and sea. No leaf falls without His knowing it, nor is there a grain in the darkness of the earth, nor anything fresh or withered but it is in a manifest Book.Ali Quli Qarai
And with Him are the keys of the unseen; none knows them except Him. And He knows what is on the land and in the sea. Not a leaf falls but that He knows it. And no grain is there within the darknesses of the earth and no moist or dry [thing] but that it is [written] in a clear record.Saheeh International

6:60
وَهُوَ
ٱ لَّذِى يَتَوَفَّىٰ كُم ب ِٱ لَّيْلِ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا جَرَحْتُم ب ِٱ ل نّ َهَارِ ثُمّ َ يَبْ عَثُكُمْ فِيهِ لِيُقْ ضَىٰٓ أَجَلٌ ۭم ُّسَمًّ ۭى ۖ ث ُمّ َ إِلَيْهِ مَرْجِعُكُمْ ثُمّ َ يُنَبِّئُكُم ب ِمَا كُنت ُمْ تَعْمَلُو نَ ٦٠Wahuwa allathee yatawaffakumbillayli wayaAAlamu ma jarahtum binnaharithumma yabAAathukum feehi liyuqda ajalun musamman thummailayhi marjiAAukum thumma yunabbi-okum bima kuntumtaAAmaloon
It is He who takes your souls by night, and He knows what you do by day, then He reanimates you therein so that a specified term may be completed. Then to Him will be your return, whereat He will inform you concerning what you used to do.Ali Quli Qarai
And it is He who takes your souls by night and knows what you have committed by day. Then He revives you therein [i.e., by day] that a specified term may be fulfilled. Then to Him will be your return; then He will inform you about what you used to do.Saheeh International

6:61
وَهُوَ
ٱ لْقَاهِرُ فَوْقَ عِبَادِهِۦ ۖ وَيُرْسِلُ عَلَيْكُمْ حَفَظَةً حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا جَا ٓءَ أَحَدَكُمُٱ لْمَوْتُ تَوَفَّتْهُ رُسُلُنَا وَهُمْ لَا يُفَرِّطُو نَ ٦١Wahuwa alqahiru fawqa AAibadihiwayursilu AAalaykum hafathatan hattaitha jaa ahadakumu almawtu tawaffat-hurusuluna wahum la yufarritoon
He is the All-dominant over His servants, and He sends guards to [protect] you. When death approaches anyone of you, Our messengers take him away and they do not neglect [their duty].Ali Quli Qarai
And He is the subjugator over His servants, and He sends over you guardian-angels until, when death comes to one of you, Our messengers [i.e., angels of death] take him, and they do not fail [in their duties].Saheeh International

6:62
ثُ
مّ َ رُدُّوٓ ا۟ إِلَىٱ للَّهِ مَوْلَىٰ هُمُٱ لْحَقِّ ۚ أَلَا لَهُٱ لْحُكْمُ وَهُوَ أَسْرَعُٱ لْحَٰ سِبِي نَ ٦٢Thumma ruddoo ila Allahi mawlahumualhaqqi ala lahu alhukmu wahuwa asraAAu alhasibeen
Then they are returned to Allah, their real master. Look! All judgement belongs to Him, and He is the swiftest of reckoners.Ali Quli Qarai
Then they [i.e., His servants] are returned to Allāh, their true Lord. Unquestionably, His is the judgement, and He is the swiftest of accountants.Saheeh International

6:63
قُلْ م
َن ي ُنَجِّيكُم م ِّن ظ ُلُمَٰ تِٱ لْبَرِّ وَٱ لْبَحْرِ تَدْ عُونَهُۥ تَضَرُّعً ۭا و َخُفْيَةً ۭل َّئِنْ أَنج َىٰ نَا مِنْ هَٰ ذِهِۦ لَنَكُونَنّ َ مِنَٱ ل شَّٰ كِرِي نَ ٦٣Qul man yunajjeekum min thulumatialbarri walbahri tadAAoonahu tadarruAAanwakhufyatan la-in anjana min hathihilanakoonanna mina ashshakireen
Say, ‘Who delivers you from the darkness of land and sea, [when] You invoke Him suppliantly and secretly: ‘‘If He delivers us from this, we will surely be among the grateful’’?’Ali Quli Qarai
Say, "Who rescues you from the darknesses of the land and sea [when] you call upon Him imploring [aloud] and privately, 'If He should save us from this [crisis], we will surely be among the thankful.'"Saheeh International

6:64
قُلِ
ٱ للَّهُ يُنَجِّيكُم م ِّنْهَا وَمِن ك ُلِّ كَرْبٍ ۢث ُمّ َ أَنت ُمْ تُشْرِكُو نَ ٦٤Quli Allahu yunajjeekum minhawamin kulli karbin thumma antum tushrikoon
Say, ‘It is Allah who delivers you from them and from every agony, [but] then you ascribe partners [to Him].’Ali Quli Qarai
Say, "It is Allāh who saves you from it and from every distress; then you [still] associate others with Him."Saheeh International

6:65
قُلْ هُوَ
ٱ لْقَادِرُ عَلَىٰٓ أَن ي َبْ عَثَ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابً ۭا م ِّن ف َوْقِكُمْ أَوْ مِن ت َحْتِ أَرْجُلِكُمْ أَوْ يَلْبِسَكُمْ شِيَعً ۭا و َيُذِيقَ بَعْضَكُم ب َأْسَ بَعْضٍ ۗٱ نظ ُرْ كَيْفَ نُصَرِّفُٱ لَْٔايَٰ تِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَفْقَهُو نَ ٦٥Qul huwa alqadiru AAala anyabAAatha AAalaykum AAathaban min fawqikum aw min tahtiarjulikum aw yalbisakum shiyaAAan wayutheeqa baAAdakumba/sa baAAdin onthur kayfa nusarrifual-ayati laAAallahum yafqahoon
Say, ‘He is able to send upon you a punishment from above you or from under your feet, or confound you as [hostile] factions, and make you taste one another’s violence.’ Look, how We paraphrase the signs variously so that they may understand!Ali Quli Qarai
Say, "He is the [one] Able to send upon you affliction from above you or from beneath your feet or to confuse you [so you become] sects and make you taste the violence of one another." Look how We diversify the signs that they might understand.Saheeh International

6:66
وَكَذَّبَ بِه
ِۦ قَوْمُكَ وَهُوَٱ لْحَقُّ ۚ قُل لَّسْتُ عَلَيْكُم ب ِوَكِي لٍۢ ٦٦Wakaththaba bihi qawmuka wahuwa alhaqququl lastu AAalaykum biwakeel
Your people have denied it, though it is the truth. Say, ‘It is not my business to watch over you.’Ali Quli Qarai
But your people have denied it while it is the truth. Say, "I am not over you a manager [i.e., authority]."Saheeh International
-
6:67
لِّكُلِّ نَبَ
إٍ ۢم ُّسْتَقَرٌّ ۭۚ و َسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُو نَ ٦٧Likulli naba-in mustaqarrun wasawfataAAlamoon
For every prophecy there is a [preordained] setting, and soon you will know.Ali Quli Qarai
For every news [i.e., happening] is a finality; and you are going to know.Saheeh International

6:68
وَإِذَا رَأَيْتَ
ٱ لَّذِينَ يَخُوضُونَ فِىٓ ءَايَٰ تِنَا فَأَعْرِضْ عَنْهُمْ حَتَّىٰ يَخُوضُوا۟ فِى حَدِيثٍ غَيْرِهِۦ ۚ وَإِمّ َا يُنس ِيَنّ َكَٱ ل شَّيْطَٰ نُ فَلَا تَقْ عُدْ بَعْدَٱ ل ذِّكْرَىٰ مَعَٱ لْقَوْمِٱ ل ظَّٰ لِمِي نَ ٦٨Wa-itha raayta allatheenayakhoodoona fee ayatina faaAAridAAanhum hatta yakhoodoo fee hadeethinghayrihi wa-imma yunsiyannaka ashshaytanufala taqAAud baAAda aththikra maAAaalqawmi aththalimeen
When you see those who gossip impiously about Our signs, avoid them until they engage in some other discourse; but if Satan makes you forget, then, after remembering, do not sit with the wrongdoing lot.Ali Quli Qarai
And when you see those who engage in [offensive] discourse concerning Our verses, then turn away from them until they enter into another conversation. And if Satan should cause you to forget, then do not remain after the reminder with the wrongdoing people.Saheeh International

6:69
وَمَا عَلَى
ٱ لَّذِينَ يَتَّقُونَ مِنْ حِسَابِهِم م ِّن ش َىْءٍ ۢو َلَٰ كِن ذ ِكْرَىٰ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَّقُو نَ ٦٩Wama AAala allatheenayattaqoona min hisabihim min shay-in walakinthikra laAAallahum yattaqoon
Those who are Godwary are in no way accountable for them, but this is merely for admonition’s sake, so that they may beware.Ali Quli Qarai
And those who fear Allāh are not held accountable for them [i.e., the disbelievers] at all, but [only for] a reminder - that perhaps they will fear Him.Saheeh International

6:70
وَذَرِ
ٱ لَّذِينَٱ تَّخَذُوا۟ دِينَهُمْ لَعِبً ۭا و َلَهْوً ۭا و َغَرَّتْهُمُٱ لْحَيَو ٰ ةُٱ ل دُّنْيَا ۚ وَذَكِّرْ بِهِۦٓ أَن ت ُبْ سَلَ نَفْسٌۢ ب ِمَا كَسَبَتْ لَيْسَ لَهَا مِن د ُونِٱ للَّهِ وَلِىٌّ ۭو َلَا شَفِيعٌ ۭو َإِن ت َعْدِلْ كُلَّ عَدْ لٍ ۢل َّا يُؤْخَذْ مِنْهَآ ۗ أُو۟ لَٰٓ ئِكَٱ لَّذِينَ أُبْ سِلُوا۟ بِمَا كَسَبُوا۟ ۖ لَهُمْ شَرَابٌ ۭم ِّنْ حَمِيمٍ ۢو َعَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌۢ ب ِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَكْفُرُو نَ ٧٠Wathari allatheena ittakhathoodeenahum laAAiban walahwan wagharrat-humu alhayatuaddunya wathakkir bihi an tubsala nafsunbima kasabat laysa laha min dooni Allahiwaliyyun wala shafeeAAun wa-in taAAdil kulla AAadlin layu/khath minha ola-ika allatheenaobsiloo bima kasaboo lahum sharabun min hameeminwaAAathabun aleemun bima kanoo yakfuroon
Leave alone those who take their religion for play and diversion and whom the life of this world has deceived, and admonish with it, lest any soul should perish because of what it has earned: It shall not have any guardian besides Allah, nor any intercessor; and though it should offer every kind of ransom, it shall not be accepted from it. They are the ones who perish because of what they have earned; they shall have boiling water for drink and a painful punishment because of what they used to defy.Ali Quli Qarai
And leave those who take their religion as amusement and diversion and whom the worldly life has deluded. But remind with it [i.e., the Qur’ān], lest a soul be given up to destruction for what it earned; it will have other than Allāh no protector and no intercessor. And if it should offer every compensation, it would not be taken from it [i.e., that soul]. Those are the ones who are given to destruction for what they have earned. For them will be a drink of scalding water and a painful punishment because they used to disbelieve.Saheeh International

6:71
قُلْ أَنَ
دْ عُوا۟ مِن د ُونِٱ للَّهِ مَا لَا يَنف َعُنَا وَلَا يَضُرُّنَا وَنُرَدُّ عَلَىٰٓ أَعْقَابِنَا بَعْدَ إِذْ هَدَىٰ نَاٱ للَّهُ كَٱ لَّذِىٱ سْتَهْوَتْهُٱ ل شَّيَٰ طِينُ فِىٱ لْأَرْضِ حَيْرَانَ لَهُۥٓ أَصْحَٰ بٌ ۭي َدْ عُونَهُۥٓ إِلَىٱ لْهُدَىٱ ئْتِنَا ۗ قُلْ إِنّ َ هُدَىٱ للَّهِ هُوَٱ لْهُدَىٰ ۖ وَأُمِرْنَا لِنُسْلِمَ لِرَبِّٱ لْعَٰ لَمِي نَ ٧١Qul anadAAoo min dooni Allahi mala yanfaAAuna wala yadurrunawanuraddu AAala aAAqabina baAAda ithhadana Allahu kallathee istahwat-huashshayateenu fee al-ardi hayranalahu as-habun yadAAoonahu ila alhudai/tina qul inna huda Allahi huwa alhudawaomirna linuslima lirabbi alAAalameen
Say, ‘Shall we invoke besides Allah that which can neither benefit us nor harm us, and turn back on our heels after Allah has guided us, like someone seduced by the devils and bewildered on the earth, who has companions that invite him to guidance, [saying,] ‘‘Come to us!’’?’ Say, ‘Indeed it is the guidance of Allah which is [true] guidance. And we have been commanded to submit to the Lord of all the worlds,Ali Quli Qarai
Say, "Shall we invoke instead of Allāh that which neither benefits us nor harms us and be turned back on our heels after Allāh has guided us? [We would then be] like one whom the devils enticed [to wander] upon the earth confused, [while] he has companions inviting him to guidance, [calling], 'Come to us.'" Say, "Indeed, the guidance of Allāh is the [only] guidance; and we have been commanded to submit to the Lord of the worlds.Saheeh International

6:72
وَأَنْ أَقِيمُو
ا۟ ٱ ل صَّلَو ٰ ةَ وَٱ تَّقُوهُ ۚ وَهُوَٱ لَّذِىٓ إِلَيْهِ تُحْشَرُو نَ ٧٢Waan aqeemoo assalatawattaqoohu wahuwa allathee ilayhi tuhsharoon
and that ‘‘Maintain the prayer and be wary of Him, and it is He toward whom you will be gathered.’’ ’Ali Quli Qarai
And to establish prayer and fear Him." And it is He to whom you will be gathered.Saheeh International

6:73
وَهُوَ
ٱ لَّذِى خَلَقَٱ ل سَّمَٰ وَٰ تِ وَٱ لْأَرْضَ بِٱ لْحَقِّ ۖ وَيَوْمَ يَقُولُ كُن ف َيَكُونُ ۚ قَوْلُهُٱ لْحَقُّ ۚ وَلَهُٱ لْمُلْكُ يَوْمَ يُنف َخُ فِىٱ ل صُّورِ ۚ عَٰ لِمُٱ لْغَيْبِ وَٱ ل شَّهَٰ دَةِ ۚ وَهُوَٱ لْحَكِيمُٱ لْخَبِي رُ ٧٣Wahuwa allathee khalaqa assamawatiwal-arda bilhaqqi wayawma yaqoolukun fayakoonu qawluhu alhaqqu walahu almulku yawmayunfakhu fee assoori AAalimu alghaybi washshahadatiwahuwa alhakeemu alkhabeer
It is He who created the heavens and the earth with reason, and the day He says [to something], ‘Be!’ it is. His word is the truth, and to Him belongs all sovereignty on the day when the Trumpet will be blown. Knower of the sensible and the Unseen, He is the All-wise, the All-aware.Ali Quli Qarai
And it is He who created the heavens and earth in truth. And the day [i.e., whenever] He says, "Be," and it is, His word is the truth. And His is the dominion [on] the Day the Horn is blown. [He is] Knower of the unseen and the witnessed; and He is the Wise, the Aware.Saheeh International

6:74
۞ وَإِذْ قَالَ إِ
بْ رَٰ هِيمُ لِأَبِيهِ ءَازَرَ أَتَتَّخِذُ أَصْنَامًا ءَالِهَةً ۖ إِنّ ِىٓ أَرَىٰ كَ وَقَوْمَكَ فِى ضَلَٰ لٍ ۢم ُّبِي نٍۢ ٧٤Wa-ith qala ibraheemuli-abeehi azara atattakhithu asnaman alihataninnee araka waqawmaka fee dalalin mubeen
When Abraham said to Azar, his father, ‘Do you take idols for gods? Indeed I see you and your people in manifest error.’Ali Quli Qarai
And [mention, O Muḥammad], when Abraham said to his father Āzar, "Do you take idols as deities? Indeed, I see you and your people to be in manifest error."Saheeh International

6:75
وَكَذَ
ٰ لِكَ نُرِىٓ إِبْ رَٰ هِيمَ مَلَكُوتَٱ ل سَّمَٰ وَٰ تِ وَٱ لْأَرْضِ وَلِيَكُونَ مِنَٱ لْمُوقِنِي نَ ٧٥Wakathalika nuree ibraheemamalakoota assamawati wal-ardiwaliyakoona mina almooqineen
Thus did We show Abraham the dominions of the heavens and the earth, that he might be of those who possess certitude.Ali Quli Qarai
And thus did We show Abraham the realm of the heavens and the earth that he would be among the certain [in faith].Saheeh International
-
6:76
فَلَ
مّ َا جَنّ َ عَلَيْهِٱ لَّيْلُ رَءَا كَوْكَبً ۭا ۖ ق َالَ هَٰ ذَا رَبِّى ۖ فَلَمّ َآ أَفَلَ قَالَ لَآ أُحِبُّٱ لَْٔافِلِي نَ ٧٦Falamma janna AAalayhi allaylu raakawkaban qala hatha rabbee falamma afala qalala ohibbu al-afileen
When night darkened over him, he saw a star and said, ‘This is my Lord!’ But when it set, he said, ‘I do not like those who set.’Ali Quli Qarai
So when the night covered him [with darkness], he saw a star. He said, "This is my lord." But when it set, he said, "I like not those that set [i.e., disappear]."Saheeh International

6:77
فَلَ
مّ َا رَءَاٱ لْقَمَرَ بَازِغً ۭا ق َالَ هَٰ ذَا رَبِّى ۖ فَلَمّ َآ أَفَلَ قَالَ لَئِن ل َّمْ يَهْدِنِى رَبِّى لَأَكُونَنّ َ مِنَٱ لْقَوْمِٱ ل ضَّا ٓلِّي نَ ٧٧Falamma raa alqamara bazighanqala hatha rabbee falamma afala qalala-in lam yahdinee rabbee laakoonanna mina alqawmi addalleen
Then, when he saw the moon rising, he said, ‘This is my Lord!’ But when it set, he said, ‘Had my Lord not guided me, I would surely have been among the astray lot.’Ali Quli Qarai
And when he saw the moon rising, he said, "This is my lord." But when it set, he said, "Unless my Lord guides me, I will surely be among the people gone astray."Saheeh International

6:78
فَلَ
مّ َا رَءَاٱ ل شَّمْسَ بَازِغَةً ۭق َالَ هَٰ ذَا رَبِّى هَٰ ذَآ أَكْبَرُ ۖ فَلَمّ َآ أَفَلَتْ قَالَ يَٰ قَوْمِ إِنّ ِى بَرِى ٓءٌ ۭم ِّمّ َا تُشْرِكُو نَ ٧٨Falamma raa ashshamsabazighatan qala hatha rabbee hathaakbaru falamma afalat qala ya qawmi inneebaree-on mimma tushrikoon
Then, when he saw the sun rising, he said, ‘This is my Lord! This is bigger!’ But when it set, he said, ‘O my people, indeed I disown what you take as [His] partners.’Ali Quli Qarai
And when he saw the sun rising, he said, "This is my lord; this is greater." But when it set, he said, "O my people, indeed I am free from what you associate with Allāh.Saheeh International

6:79
إِ
نّ ِى وَجَّهْتُ وَجْ هِىَ لِلَّذِى فَطَرَٱ ل سَّمَٰ وَٰ تِ وَٱ لْأَرْضَ حَنِيفً ۭا ۖ و َمَآ أَنَا۠ مِنَٱ لْمُشْرِكِي نَ ٧٩Innee wajjahtu wajhiya lillathee fataraassamawati wal-arda haneefanwama ana mina almushrikeen
‘Indeed I have turned my face toward Him who originated the heavens and the earth, as a Hanif, and I am not one of the polytheists.’Ali Quli Qarai
Indeed, I have turned my face [i.e., self] toward He who created the heavens and the earth, inclining toward truth, and I am not of those who associate others with Allāh."Saheeh International

6:80
وَح
َا ٓجَّهُۥ قَوْمُهُۥ ۚ قَالَ أَتُحَٰٓ جُّو ٓنّ ِى فِىٱ للَّهِ وَقَدْ هَدَىٰ نِ ۚ وَلَآ أَخَافُ مَا تُشْرِكُونَ بِهِۦٓ إِلَّآ أَن ي َشَا ٓءَ رَبِّى شَئًْ ۭا ۗ و َسِعَ رَبِّى كُلَّ شَىْءٍ عِلْمًا ۗ أَفَلَا تَتَذَكَّرُو نَ ٨٠Wahajjahu qawmuhu qala atuhajjoonneefee Allahi waqad hadani wala akhafu matushrikoona bihi illa an yashaa rabbee shay-anwasiAAa rabbee kulla shay-in AAilman afala tatathakkaroon
His people argued with him. He said, ‘Do you argue with me concerning Allah, while He has guided me for certain? I do not fear what you ascribe to Him as [His] partners, excepting anything that my Lord may wish. My Lord embraces all things in [His] knowledge. Will you not then take admonition?Ali Quli Qarai
And his people argued with him. He said, "Do you argue with me concerning Allāh while He has guided me? And I fear not what you associate with Him [and will not be harmed] unless my Lord should will something. My Lord encompasses all things in knowledge; then will you not remember?Saheeh International

6:81
وَكَيْفَ أَخَافُ م
َآ أَشْرَكْتُمْ وَلَا تَخَافُونَ أَنّ َكُمْ أَشْرَكْتُم ب ِٱ للَّهِ مَا لَمْ يُنَزِّلْ بِهِۦ عَلَيْكُمْ سُلْطَٰ نً ۭا ۚ ف َأَىُّٱ لْفَرِيقَيْنِ أَحَقُّ بِٱ لْأَمْنِ ۖ إِن ك ُنت ُمْ تَعْلَمُو نَ ٨١Wakayfa akhafu ma ashraktumwala takhafoona annakum ashraktum billahima lam yunazzil bihi AAalaykum sultanan faayyualfareeqayni ahaqqu bil-amni in kuntum taAAlamoon
How could I fear what you ascribe [to Him] as [His] partners, when you do not fear ascribing to Allah partners for which He has not sent down any authority to you? So [tell me,] which of the two sides has a greater right to safety, if you know?Ali Quli Qarai
And how should I fear what you associate while you do not fear that you have associated with Allāh that for which He has not sent down to you any authority? So which of the two parties has more right to security, if you should know?"Saheeh International

6:82
ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُو
ا۟ وَلَمْ يَلْبِسُوٓ ا۟ إِيمَٰ نَهُم ب ِظُلْمٍ أُو۟ لَٰٓ ئِكَ لَهُمُٱ لْأَمْنُ وَهُم م ُّهْتَدُو نَ ٨٢Allatheena amanoo walamyalbisoo eemanahum bithulmin ola-ikalahumu al-amnu wahum muhtadoon
Those who have faith and do not taint their faith with wrongdoing—for such there shall be safety, and they are the [rightly] guided.’Ali Quli Qarai
They who believe and do not mix their belief with injustice - those will have security, and they are [rightly] guided.Saheeh International

6:83
وَتِلْكَ حُجَّتُن
َآ ءَاتَيْنَٰ هَآ إِبْ رَٰ هِيمَ عَلَىٰ قَوْمِهِۦ ۚ نَرْفَعُ دَرَجَٰ تٍ ۢم َّن ن َّشَا ٓءُ ۗ إِنّ َ رَبَّكَ حَكِيمٌ عَلِي مٌۭ ٨٣Watilka hujjatuna ataynahaibraheema AAala qawmihi narfaAAu darajatinman nashao inna rabbaka hakeemun AAaleem
This was Our argument that We gave to Abraham against his people. We raise in rank whomever We wish. Indeed your Lord is all-wise, all-knowing.Ali Quli Qarai
And that was Our [conclusive] argument which We gave Abraham against his people. We raise by degrees whom We will. Indeed, your Lord is Wise and Knowing.Saheeh International

6:84
وَوَهَ
بْ نَا لَهُۥٓ إِسْحَٰ قَ وَيَعْقُوبَ ۚ كُلًّا هَدَيْنَا ۚ وَنُوحًا هَدَيْنَا مِن ق َبْ لُ ۖ وَمِن ذ ُرِّيَّتِهِۦ دَاوُۥ دَ وَسُلَيْمَٰ نَ وَأَيُّوبَ وَيُوسُفَ وَمُوسَىٰ وَهَٰ رُونَ ۚ وَكَذَٰ لِكَ نَجْ زِىٱ لْمُحْسِنِي نَ ٨٤Wawahabna lahu ishaqawayaAAqooba kullan hadayna wanoohan hadaynamin qablu wamin thurriyyatihi dawooda wasulaymanawaayyooba wayoosufa wamoosa waharoona wakathalikanajzee almuhsineen
And We gave him Isaac and Jacob and guided each of them. And Noah We had guided before, and from his offspring, David and Solomon, Job, Joseph, Moses and Aaron—thus do We reward the virtuous—Ali Quli Qarai
And We gave to him [i.e., Abraham] Isaac and Jacob - all [of them] We guided. And Noah, We guided before; and among his descendants, David and Solomon and Job and Joseph and Moses and Aaron. Thus do We reward the doers of good.Saheeh International

6:85
وَزَكَرِيَّا وَيَحْيَىٰ وَعِيسَىٰ وَإِلْيَاسَ ۖ كُ
لٌّ ۭم ِّنَٱ ل صَّٰ لِحِي نَ ٨٥Wazakariyya wayahyawaAAeesa walyasa kullun mina assaliheen
and Zechariah, John, Jesus and Ilyas—each of them among the righteous—Ali Quli Qarai
And Zechariah and John and Jesus and Elias - and all were of the righteous.Saheeh International

6:86
وَإِسْمَ
ٰ عِيلَ وَٱ لْيَسَعَ وَيُونُسَ وَلُوطً ۭا ۚ و َكُلًّ ۭاف َضَّلْنَا عَلَىٱ لْعَٰ لَمِي نَ ٨٦Wa-ismaAAeela walyasaAAawayoonusa walootan wakullan faddalna AAalaalAAalameen
and Ishmael, Elisha, Jonah and Lot—each We graced over all the nations—Ali Quli Qarai
And Ishmael and Elisha and Jonah and Lot - and all [of them] We preferred over the worlds.Saheeh International

6:87
وَمِنْ ءَاب
َا ٓئِهِمْ وَذُرِّيَّٰ تِهِمْ وَإِخْوَٰ نِهِمْ ۖ وَٱ جْ تَبَيْنَٰ هُمْ وَهَدَيْنَٰ هُمْ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰ طٍ ۢم ُّسْتَقِي مٍۢ ٨٧Wamin aba-ihim wathurriyyatihimwa-ikhwanihim wajtabaynahum wahadaynahumila siratin mustaqeem
and from among their fathers, their descendants and brethren—We chose them and guided them to a straight path.Ali Quli Qarai
And [some] among their fathers and their descendants and their brothers - and We chose them and We guided them to a straight path.Saheeh International

6:88
ذَ
ٰ لِكَ هُدَىٱ للَّهِ يَهْدِى بِهِۦ مَن ي َشَا ٓءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِۦ ۚ وَلَوْ أَشْرَكُوا۟ لَحَبِطَ عَنْهُم م َّا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُو نَ ٨٨Thalika huda Allahiyahdee bihi man yashao min AAibadihi walaw ashrakoolahabita AAanhum ma kanoo yaAAmaloon
That is Allah’s guidance: with it, He guides whomever He wishes of His servants. But were they to ascribe any partners [to Allah], what they used to do would not avail them.Ali Quli Qarai
That is the guidance of Allāh by which He guides whomever He wills of His servants. But if they had associated others with Allāh, then worthless for them would be whatever they were doing.Saheeh International

6:89
أُ
و۟ لَٰٓ ئِكَٱ لَّذِينَ ءَاتَيْنَٰ هُمُٱ لْكِتَٰ بَ وَٱ لْحُكْمَ وَٱ ل نّ ُبُوَّةَ ۚ فَإِن ي َكْفُرْ بِهَا هَٰٓ ؤُلَا ٓءِ فَقَدْ وَكَّلْنَا بِهَا قَوْمً ۭا ل َّيْسُوا۟ بِهَا بِكَٰ فِرِي نَ ٨٩Ola-ika allatheena ataynahumualkitaba walhukma wannubuwwatafa-in yakfur biha haola-i faqad wakkalnabiha qawman laysoo biha bikafireen
They are the ones whom We gave the Book, judgement and prophethood. So if these disbelieve in them, We have certainly entrusted them to a people who will never disbelieve in them.Ali Quli Qarai
Those are the ones to whom We gave the Scripture and authority and prophethood. But if they [i.e., the disbelievers] deny it, then We have entrusted it to a people who are not therein disbelievers.Saheeh International

6:90
أُ
و۟ لَٰٓ ئِكَٱ لَّذِينَ هَدَىٱ للَّهُ ۖ فَبِهُدَىٰ هُمُٱ قْ تَدِهْ ۗ قُل لَّآ أَسَْٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ أَجْ رًا ۖ إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكْرَىٰ لِلْعَٰ لَمِي نَ ٩٠Ola-ika allatheena hadaAllahu fabihudahumu iqtadih qul la as-alukumAAalayhi ajran in huwa illa thikra lilAAalameen
They are the ones whom Allah has guided. So follow their guidance. Say, ‘I do not ask you any recompense for it. It is just an admonition for all the nations.’Ali Quli Qarai
Those are the ones whom Allāh has guided, so from their guidance take an example. Say, "I ask of you for it [i.e., this message] no payment. It is not but a reminder for the worlds."Saheeh International

6:91
وَمَا قَدَرُو
ا۟ ٱ للَّهَ حَقَّ قَدْ رِهِۦٓ إِذْ قَالُوا۟ مَآ أَنز َلَٱ للَّهُ عَلَىٰ بَشَرٍ ۢم ِّن شَىْءٍ ۢۗ ق ُلْ مَنْ أَنز َلَٱ لْكِتَٰ بَٱ لَّذِى جَا ٓءَ بِهِۦ مُوسَىٰ نُورً ۭا و َهُدً ۭى ل ِّلنّ َاسِ ۖ تَجْ عَلُونَهُۥ قَرَاطِيسَ تُبْ دُونَهَا وَتُخْفُونَ كَثِيرً ۭا ۖ و َعُلِّمْتُم م َّا لَمْ تَعْلَمُوٓ ا۟ أَنت ُمْ وَلَآ ءَابَا ٓؤُكُمْ ۖ قُلِٱ للَّهُ ۖ ثُمّ َ ذَرْهُمْ فِى خَوْضِهِمْ يَلْعَبُو نَ ٩١Wama qadaroo Allaha haqqaqadrihi ith qaloo ma anzala AllahuAAala basharin min shay-in qul man anzala alkitabaallathee jaa bihi moosa nooran wahudan linnasitajAAaloonahu qarateesa tubdoonaha watukhfoonakatheeran waAAullimtum ma lam taAAlamoo antum wala abaokumquli Allahu thumma tharhum fee khawdihimyalAAaboon
They did not regard Allah with the regard due to Him when they said, ‘Allah has not sent down anything to any human.’ Say, ‘Who had sent down the Book that was brought by Moses as a light and guidance for the people, which you make into parchments that you display, while you conceal much of it, and [by means of which] you were taught what you did not know, [neither] you nor your fathers?’ Say, ‘Allah!’ Then leave them to play around in their impious gossip.Ali Quli Qarai
And they did not appraise Allāh with true appraisal when they said, "Allāh did not reveal to a human being anything." Say, "Who revealed the Scripture that Moses brought as light and guidance to the people? You [Jews] make it into pages, disclosing [some of] it and concealing much. And you were taught that which you knew not - neither you nor your fathers." Say, "Allāh [revealed it]." Then leave them in their [empty] discourse, amusing themselves.Saheeh International

6:92
وَهَ
ٰ ذَا كِتَٰ بٌ أَنز َلْنَٰ هُ مُبَارَكٌ ۭم ُّصَدِّقُٱ لَّذِى بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ وَلِتُنذ ِرَ أُمّ َٱ لْقُرَىٰ وَمَنْ حَوْلَهَا ۚ وَٱ لَّذِينَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱ لَْٔاخِرَةِ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِهِۦ ۖ وَهُمْ عَلَىٰ صَلَاتِهِمْ يُحَافِظُو نَ ٩٢Wahatha kitabun anzalnahumubarakun musaddiqu allathee bayna yadayhiwalitunthira omma alqura waman hawlahawallatheena yu/minoona bil-akhiratiyu/minoona bihi wahum AAala salatihim yuhafithoon
Blessed is this Book, which We have sent down, confirming what was [revealed] before it, so that you may warn the Mother of Cities and those around it. Those who believe in the Hereafter believe in it, and they are watchful of their prayers.Ali Quli Qarai
And this is a Book which We have sent down, blessed and confirming what was before it, that you may warn the Mother of Cities [i.e., Makkah] and those around it. Those who believe in the Hereafter believe in it, and they are maintaining their prayers.Saheeh International

6:93
وَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِ
مّ َنِٱ فْتَرَىٰ عَلَىٱ للَّهِ كَذِبًا أَوْ قَالَ أُوحِىَ إِلَىَّ وَلَمْ يُوحَ إِلَيْهِ شَىْءٌ ۭو َمَن ق َالَ سَأُنز ِلُ مِثْلَ مَآ أَنز َلَٱ للَّهُ ۗ وَلَوْ تَرَىٰٓ إِذِٱ ل ظَّٰ لِمُونَ فِى غَمَرَٰ تِٱ لْمَوْتِ وَٱ لْمَلَٰٓ ئِكَةُ بَاسِطُوٓ ا۟ أَيْدِيهِمْ أَخْرِجُوٓ ا۟ أَنف ُسَكُمُ ۖٱ لْيَوْمَ تُجْ زَوْنَ عَذَابَٱ لْهُونِ بِمَا كُنت ُمْ تَقُولُونَ عَلَىٱ للَّهِ غَيْرَٱ لْحَقِّ وَكُنت ُمْ عَنْ ءَايَٰ تِهِۦ تَسْتَكْبِرُو نَ ٩٣Waman athlamu mimmani iftaraAAala Allahi kathiban aw qala oohiyailayya walam yooha ilayhi shay-on waman qalasaonzilu mithla ma anzala Allahu walaw taraithi aththalimoona fee ghamaratialmawti walmala-ikatu basitooaydeehim akhrijoo anfusakumu alyawma tujzawna AAathabaalhooni bima kuntum taqooloona AAala Allahighayra alhaqqi wakuntum AAan ayatihitastakbiroon
Who is a greater wrongdoer than him who fabricates a lie against Allah, or says, ‘It has been revealed to me,’ while nothing was revealed to him, and he who says, ‘I will bring the like of what Allah has sent down?’ Were you to see when the wrongdoers are in the throes of death, and the angels extend their hands [saying]: ‘Give up your souls! Today you shall be requited with a humiliating punishment because of what you used to attribute to Allah untruly, and for your being disdainful towards His signs.’Ali Quli Qarai
And who is more unjust than one who invents a lie about Allāh or says, "It has been inspired to me," while nothing has been inspired to him, and one who says, "I will reveal [something] like what Allāh revealed." And if you could but see when the wrongdoers are in the overwhelming pangs of death while the angels extend their hands, [saying], "Discharge your souls! Today you will be awarded the punishment of [extreme] humiliation for what you used to say against Allāh other than the truth and [that] you were, toward His verses, being arrogant."Saheeh International

6:94
وَلَقَ
دْ جِئْتُمُونَا فُرَٰ دَىٰ كَمَا خَلَقْ نَٰ كُمْ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ ۢو َتَرَكْتُم م َّا خَوَّلْنَٰ كُمْ وَرَا ٓءَ ظُهُورِكُمْ ۖ وَمَا نَرَىٰ مَعَكُمْ شُفَعَا ٓءَكُمُٱ لَّذِينَ زَعَمْتُمْ أَنّ َهُمْ فِيكُمْ شُرَكَٰٓ ؤُا۟ ۚ لَقَد تَّقَطَّعَ بَيْنَكُمْ وَضَلَّ عَنك ُم م َّا كُنت ُمْ تَزْعُمُو نَ ٩٤Walaqad ji/tumoona furadakama khalaqnakum awwala marratin wataraktum makhawwalnakum waraa thuhoorikum wamanara maAAakum shufaAAaakumu allatheenazaAAamtum annahum feekum shurakao laqad taqattaAAabaynakum wadalla AAankum ma kuntum tazAAumoon
‘Certainly you have come to Us alone, just as We created you the first time, and left behind whatever We had bestowed on you. We do not see your intercessors with you—those whom you claimed to be [Our] partners in [deciding] you[r] [fate]. Certainly all links between you have been cut, and what you used to claim has forsaken you!’Ali Quli Qarai
[It will be said to them], "And you have certainly come to Us alone [i.e., individually] as We created you the first time, and you have left whatever We bestowed upon you behind you. And We do not see with you your 'intercessors' which you claimed that they were among you associates [of Allāh]. It has [all] been severed between you, and lost from you is what you used to claim."Saheeh International

6:95
۞ إِ
نّ َٱ للَّهَ فَالِقُٱ لْحَبِّ وَٱ ل نّ َوَىٰ ۖ يُخْرِجُٱ لْحَىَّ مِنَٱ لْمَيِّتِ وَمُخْرِجُٱ لْمَيِّتِ مِنَٱ لْحَىِّ ۚ ذَٰ لِكُمُٱ للَّهُ ۖ فَأَنّ َىٰ تُؤْفَكُو نَ ٩٥Inna Allaha faliqu alhabbiwannawa yukhriju alhayya mina almayyitiwamukhriju almayyiti mina alhayyi thalikumu Allahufaanna tu/fakoon
Indeed Allah is the splitter of the grain and the pit. He brings forth the living from the dead and He brings forth the dead from the living. That is Allah! Then where do you stray?Ali Quli Qarai
Indeed, Allāh is the cleaver of grain and date seeds. He brings the living out of the dead and brings the dead out of the living. That is Allāh; so how are you deluded?Saheeh International

6:96
فَالِقُ
ٱ لْإِصْبَاحِ وَجَعَلَٱ لَّيْلَ سَكَنً ۭا و َٱ ل شَّمْسَ وَٱ لْقَمَرَ حُسْبَانً ۭا ۚ ذ َٰ لِكَ تَقْ دِيرُٱ لْعَزِيزِٱ لْعَلِي مِ ٩٦Faliqu al-isbahiwajaAAala allayla sakanan washshamsa walqamara husbananthalika taqdeeru alAAazeezi alAAaleem
Splitter of the dawn, He has made the night for rest, and the sun and the moon for calculation. That is the ordaining of the All-mighty, the All-knowing.Ali Quli Qarai
[He is] the cleaver of daybreak and has made the night for rest and the sun and moon for calculation. That is the determination of the Exalted in Might, the Knowing.Saheeh International

6:97
وَهُوَ
ٱ لَّذِى جَعَلَ لَكُمُٱ ل نّ ُجُومَ لِتَهْتَدُوا۟ بِهَا فِى ظُلُمَٰ تِٱ لْبَرِّ وَٱ لْبَحْرِ ۗ قَدْ فَصَّلْنَاٱ لَْٔايَٰ تِ لِقَوْمٍ ۢي َعْلَمُو نَ ٩٧Wahuwa allathee jaAAala lakumu annujoomalitahtadoo biha fee thulumati albarriwalbahri qad fassalna al-ayatiliqawmin yaAAlamoon
It is He who made the stars for you, so that you may be guided by them in the darkness of land and sea. We have certainly elaborated the signs for a people who have knowledge.Ali Quli Qarai
And it is He who placed for you the stars that you may be guided by them through the darknesses of the land and sea. We have detailed the signs for a people who know.Saheeh International

6:98
وَهُوَ
ٱ لَّذِىٓ أَنش َأَكُم م ِّن ن َّفْسٍ ۢو َٰ حِدَةٍ ۢف َمُسْتَقَرٌّ ۭو َمُسْتَوْدَعٌ ۭۗ ق َدْ فَصَّلْنَاٱ لَْٔايَٰ تِ لِقَوْمٍ ۢي َفْقَهُو نَ ٩٨Wahuwa allathee anshaakum min nafsinwahidatin famustaqarrun wamustawdaAAun qad fassalnaal-ayati liqawmin yafqahoon
It is He who created you from a single soul, then there is the [enduring] abode and the place of temporary lodging. We have certainly elaborated the signs for a people who understand.Ali Quli Qarai
And it is He who produced you from one soul and [gave you] a place of dwelling and of storage. We have detailed the signs for a people who understand.Saheeh International

6:99
وَهُوَ
ٱ لَّذِىٓ أَنز َلَ مِنَٱ ل سَّمَا ٓءِ مَا ٓءً ۭف َأَخْرَجْ نَا بِهِۦ نَبَاتَ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ ۢف َأَخْرَجْ نَا مِنْهُ خَضِرً ۭا ن ُّخْرِجُ مِنْهُ حَبًّ ۭا م ُّتَرَاكِبً ۭا و َمِنَٱ ل نّ َخْلِ مِن ط َلْعِهَا قِنْوَانٌ ۭد َانِيَةٌ ۭو َجَنّ َٰ تٍ ۢم ِّنْ أَعْنَابٍ ۢو َٱ ل زَّيْتُونَ وَٱ ل رُّمّ َانَ مُشْتَبِهً ۭا و َغَيْرَ مُتَشَٰ بِهٍ ۗٱ نظ ُرُوٓ ا۟ إِلَىٰ ثَمَرِهِۦٓ إِذَآ أَثْمَرَ وَيَنْعِهِۦٓ ۚ إِنّ َ فِى ذَٰ لِكُمْ لََٔايَٰ تٍ ۢل ِّقَوْمٍ ۢي ُؤْمِنُو نَ ٩٩Wahuwa allathee anzala mina assama-imaan faakhrajna bihi nabata kulli shay-infaakhrajna minhu khadiran nukhriju minhu habbanmutarakiban wamina annakhli min talAAihaqinwanun daniyatun wajannatin min aAAnabinwazzaytoona warrummana mushtabihanwaghayra mutashabihin onthuroo ilathamarihi itha athmara wayanAAihi inna fee thalikumlaayatin liqawmin yu/minoon
It is He who sends down water from the sky, and brings forth with it every kind of growing thing. Then from it We bring forth vegetation from which We produce the grain, in clusters, and from the palm-tree, from the spathes of it, low-hanging clusters [of dates], and gardens of grapes, olives and pomegranates, similar and dissimilar. Look at its fruit as it fructifies and ripens. Indeed, there are signs in that for a people who have faith.Ali Quli Qarai
And it is He who sends down rain from the sky, and We produce thereby the growth of all things. We produce from it greenery from which We produce grains arranged in layers. And from the palm trees - of its emerging fruit are clusters hanging low. And [We produce] gardens of grapevines and olives and pomegranates, similar yet varied. Look at [each of] its fruit when it yields and [at] its ripening. Indeed in that are signs for a people who believe.Saheeh International

6:100
وَجَعَلُو
ا۟ لِلَّهِ شُرَكَا ٓءَٱ لْجِنّ َ وَخَلَقَهُمْ ۖ وَخَرَقُوا۟ لَهُۥ بَنِينَ وَبَنَٰ تٍۭ ب ِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ ۢۚ س ُبْ حَٰ نَهُۥ وَتَعَٰ لَىٰ عَمّ َا يَصِفُو نَ ١٠٠WajaAAaloo lillahi shurakaaaljinna wakhalaqahum wakharaqoo lahu baneena wabanatinbighayri AAilmin subhanahu wataAAala AAammayasifoon
They make the jinn partners of Allah, though He has created them, and carve out sons and daughters for Him, without any knowledge. Immaculate is He and exalted above what they allege [concerning Him]!Ali Quli Qarai
But they have attributed to Allāh partners - the jinn, while He has created them - and have fabricated for Him sons and daughters without knowledge. Exalted is He and high above what they describe.Saheeh International

6:101
بَدِيعُ
ٱ ل سَّمَٰ وَٰ تِ وَٱ لْأَرْضِ ۖ أَنّ َىٰ يَكُونُ لَهُۥ وَلَدٌ ۭو َلَمْ تَكُن ل َّهُۥ صَٰ حِبَةٌ ۭۖ و َخَلَقَ كُلَّ شَىْءٍ ۢۖ و َهُوَ بِكُلِّ شَىْءٍ عَلِي مٌۭ ١٠١BadeeAAu assamawatiwal-ardi anna yakoonu lahu waladun walamtakun lahu sahibatun wakhalaqa kulla shay-in wahuwabikulli shay-in AAaleem
The originator of the heavens and the earth—how could He have a child when He has had no spouse? He created all things and He has knowledge of all things.Ali Quli Qarai
[He is] Originator of the heavens and the earth. How could He have a son when He does not have a companion [i.e., wife] and He created all things? And He is, of all things, Knowing.Saheeh International

6:102
ذَ
ٰ لِكُمُٱ للَّهُ رَبُّكُمْ ۖ لَآ إِلَٰ هَ إِلَّا هُوَ ۖ خَٰ لِقُ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ ۢف َٱ عْبُدُوهُ ۚ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ ۢو َكِي لٌۭ ١٠٢Thalikumu Allahu rabbukum lailaha illa huwa khaliqu kulli shay-in faAAbudoohuwahuwa AAala kulli shay-in wakeel
That is Allah, your Lord, there is no god except Him, the creator of all things; so worship Him. He watches over all things.Ali Quli Qarai
That is Allāh, your Lord; there is no deity except Him, the Creator of all things, so worship Him. And He is Disposer of all things.Saheeh International

6:103
لَّا تُ
دْ رِكُهُٱ لْأَبْ صَٰ رُ وَهُوَ يُدْ رِكُٱ لْأَبْ صَٰ رَ ۖ وَهُوَٱ ل لَّطِيفُٱ لْخَبِي رُ ١٠٣La tudrikuhu al-absaru wahuwayudriku al-absara wahuwa allateefu alkhabeer
The sights do not apprehend Him, yet He apprehends the sights, and He is the All-attentive, the All-aware.Ali Quli Qarai
Vision perceives Him not, but He perceives [all] vision; and He is the Subtle, the Aware.Saheeh International

6:104
قَ
دْ جَا ٓءَكُم ب َصَا ٓئِرُ مِن ر َّبِّكُمْ ۖ فَمَنْ أَبْ صَرَ فَلِنَفْسِهِۦ ۖ وَمَنْ عَمِىَ فَعَلَيْهَا ۚ وَمَآ أَنَا۠ عَلَيْكُم ب ِحَفِي ظٍۢ ١٠٤Qad jaakum basa-iru minrabbikum faman absara falinafsihi waman AAamiya faAAalayhawama ana AAalaykum bihafeeth
[Say,] ‘Certainly insights have come to you from your Lord. So whoever sees, it is to the benefit of his own soul, and whoever remains blind, it is to its detriment, and I am not a keeper over you.’Ali Quli Qarai
There has come to you enlightenment from your Lord. So whoever will see does so for [the benefit of] his soul, and whoever is blind [does harm] against it. And [say], "I am not a guardian over you."Saheeh International

6:105
وَكَذَ
ٰ لِكَ نُصَرِّفُٱ لَْٔايَٰ تِ وَلِيَقُولُوا۟ دَرَسْتَ وَلِنُبَيِّنَهُۥ لِقَوْمٍ ۢي َعْلَمُو نَ ١٠٥Wakathalika nusarrifu al-ayatiwaliyaqooloo darasta walinubayyinahu liqawmin yaAAlamoon
Thus do We paraphrase the signs variously, lest they should say, ‘You have received instruction,’ and so that We may make it clear for a people who have knowledge.Ali Quli Qarai
And thus do We diversify the verses so they [i.e., the disbelievers] will say, "You have studied," and so We may make it [i.e., the Qur’ān] clear for a people who know.Saheeh International

6:106
ٱتَّبِعْ م
َآ أُوحِىَ إِلَيْكَ مِن ر َّبِّكَ ۖ لَآ إِلَٰ هَ إِلَّا هُوَ ۖ وَأَعْرِضْ عَنِٱ لْمُشْرِكِي نَ ١٠٦IttabiAA ma oohiya ilayka minrabbika la ilaha illa huwa waaAAridAAani almushrikeen
Follow that which has been revealed to you from your Lord, there is no god except Him, and turn away from the polytheists.Ali Quli Qarai
Follow, [O Muḥammad], what has been revealed to you from your Lord - there is no deity except Him - and turn away from those who associate others with Allāh.Saheeh International
-
6:107
وَلَوْ ش
َا ٓءَٱ للَّهُ مَآ أَشْرَكُوا۟ ۗ وَمَا جَعَلْنَٰ كَ عَلَيْهِمْ حَفِيظً ۭا ۖ و َمَآ أَنت َ عَلَيْهِم ب ِوَكِي لٍۢ ١٠٧Walaw shaa Allahu maashrakoo wama jaAAalnaka AAalayhim hafeethanwama anta AAalayhim biwakeel
Had Allah wished they would not have ascribed partners [to Him]. We have not made you a caretaker for them, nor is it your duty to watch over them.Ali Quli Qarai
But if Allāh had willed, they would not have associated. And We have not appointed you over them as a guardian, nor are you a manager over them.Saheeh International

6:108
وَلَا تَسُبُّو
ا۟ ٱ لَّذِينَ يَدْ عُونَ مِن د ُونِٱ للَّهِ فَيَسُبُّوا۟ ٱ للَّهَ عَدْ وًۢا ب ِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ ۢۗ ك َذَٰ لِكَ زَيَّنّ َا لِكُلِّ أُمّ َةٍ عَمَلَهُمْ ثُمّ َ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِم م َّرْجِعُهُمْ فَيُنَبِّئُهُم ب ِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُو نَ ١٠٨Wala tasubboo allatheenayadAAoona min dooni Allahi fayasubboo AllahaAAadwan bighayri AAilmin kathalika zayyanna likulliommatin AAamalahum thumma ila rabbihim marjiAAuhumfayunabbi-ohum bima kanoo yaAAmaloon
Do not abuse those whom they invoke besides Allah, lest they should abuse Allah out of hostility, without any knowledge. That is how to every people We have made their conduct seem decorous. Then their return will be to their Lord and He will inform them concerning what they used to do.Ali Quli Qarai
And do not insult those they invoke other than Allāh, lest they insult Allāh in enmity without knowledge. Thus We have made pleasing to every community their deeds. Then to their Lord is their return, and He will inform them about what they used to do.Saheeh International

6:109
وَأَ
قْ سَمُوا۟ بِٱ للَّهِ جَهْدَ أَيْمَٰ نِهِمْ لَئِن ج َا ٓءَتْهُمْ ءَايَةٌ ۭل َّيُؤْمِنُنّ َ بِهَا ۚ قُلْ إِنّ َمَاٱ لَْٔايَٰ تُ عِند َٱ للَّهِ ۖ وَمَا يُشْعِرُكُمْ أَنّ َهَآ إِذَا جَا ٓءَتْ لَا يُؤْمِنُو نَ ١٠٩Waaqsamoo billahi jahda aymanihimla-in jaat-hum ayatun layu/minunna biha qulinnama al-ayatu AAinda Allahi wamayushAAirukum annaha itha jaat layu/minoon
They swear by Allah with solemn oaths that were a sign to come to them they would surely believe in it. Say, ‘These signs are only from Allah,’ and what will bring home to you that they will not believe even if they came?Ali Quli Qarai
And they swear by Allāh their strongest oaths that if a sign came to them, they would surely believe in it. Say, "The signs are only with [i.e., from] Allāh." And what will make you perceive that even if it [i.e., a sign] came, they would not believe.Saheeh International

6:110
وَنُقَلِّبُ أَفِْٔدَتَهُمْ وَأَ
بْ صَٰ رَهُمْ كَمَا لَمْ يُؤْمِنُوا۟ بِهِۦٓ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ ۢو َنَذَرُهُمْ فِى طُغْيَٰ نِهِمْ يَعْمَهُو نَ ١١٠Wanuqallibu af-idatahum waabsarahumkama lam yu/minoo bihi awwala marratin wanatharuhumfee tughyanihim yaAAmahoon
We transform their hearts and their visions as they did not believe in it the first time, and We leave them bewildered in their rebellion.Ali Quli Qarai
And We will turn away their hearts and their eyes just as they refused to believe in it [i.e., the revelation] the first time. And We will leave them in their transgression, wandering blindly.Saheeh International
-
6:111
۞ وَلَوْ أَ
نّ َنَا نَزَّلْنَآ إِلَيْهِمُٱ لْمَلَٰٓ ئِكَةَ وَكَلَّمَهُمُٱ لْمَوْتَىٰ وَحَشَرْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ كُلَّ شَىْءٍ ۢق ُبُلً ۭام َّا كَانُوا۟ لِيُؤْمِنُوٓ ا۟ إِلَّآ أَن ي َشَا ٓءَٱ للَّهُ وَلَٰ كِنّ َ أَكْثَرَهُمْ يَجْ هَلُو نَ ١١١Walaw annana nazzalnailayhimu almala-ikata wakallamahumu almawta wahasharnaAAalayhim kulla shay-in qubulan ma kanoo liyu/minooilla an yashaa Allahu walakinnaaktharahum yajhaloon
Even if We had sent down angels to them, and the dead had spoken to them, and We had gathered before them all things manifestly, they would [still] not believe unless Allah wished. But most of them are ignorant.Ali Quli Qarai
And even if We had sent down to them the angels [with the message] and the dead spoke to them [of it] and We gathered together every [created] thing in front of them, they would not believe unless Allāh should will. But most of them, [of that], are ignorant.Saheeh International
-
6:112
وَكَذَ
ٰ لِكَ جَعَلْنَا لِكُلِّ نَبِىٍّ عَدُوًّ ۭا ش َيَٰ طِينَٱ لْإِنس ِ وَٱ لْجِنّ ِ يُوحِى بَعْضُهُمْ إِلَىٰ بَعْضٍ ۢز ُخْرُفَٱ لْقَوْلِ غُرُورً ۭا ۚ و َلَوْ شَا ٓءَ رَبُّكَ مَا فَعَلُوهُ ۖ فَذَرْهُمْ وَمَا يَفْتَرُو نَ ١١٢Wakathalika jaAAalna likullinabiyyin AAaduwwan shayateena al-insi waljinni yooheebaAAduhum ila baAAdin zukhrufa alqawlighurooran walaw shaa rabbuka ma faAAaloohu fatharhumwama yaftaroon
That is how for every prophet We appointed as enemy the devils from among humans and jinn, who inspire each other with flashy words, deceptively. Had your Lord wished, they would not have done it. So leave them with what they fabricate,Ali Quli Qarai
And thus We have made for every prophet an enemy - devils from mankind and jinn, inspiring to one another decorative speech in delusion. But if your Lord had willed, they would not have done it, so leave them and that which they invent.Saheeh International
-
6:113
وَلِتَصْغَ
ىٰٓ إِلَيْهِ أَفِْٔدَةُٱ لَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱ لَْٔاخِرَةِ وَلِيَرْضَوْهُ وَلِيَقْ تَرِفُوا۟ مَا هُم م ُّقْ تَرِفُو نَ ١١٣Walitasgha ilayhi af-idatuallatheena la yu/minoona bil-akhiratiwaliyardawhu waliyaqtarifoo ma hum muqtarifoon
so that toward it may incline the hearts of those who do not believe in the Hereafter, and so that they may be pleased with it and commit what they commit.Ali Quli Qarai
And [it is] so the hearts of those who disbelieve in the Hereafter will incline toward it [i.e., deceptive speech] and that they will be satisfied with it and that they will commit that which they are committing.Saheeh International
-
6:114
أَفَغَيْرَ
ٱ للَّهِ أَبْ تَغِى حَكَمً ۭا و َهُوَٱ لَّذِىٓ أَنز َلَ إِلَيْكُمُٱ لْكِتَٰ بَ مُفَصَّلً ۭاۚ و َٱ لَّذِينَ ءَاتَيْنَٰ هُمُٱ لْكِتَٰ بَ يَعْلَمُونَ أَنّ َهُۥ مُنَزَّلٌ ۭم ِّن ر َّبِّكَ بِٱ لْحَقِّ ۖ فَلَا تَكُونَنّ َ مِنَٱ لْمُمْتَرِي نَ ١١٤Afaghayra Allahi abtaghee hakamanwahuwa allathee anzala ilaykumu alkitaba mufassalanwallatheena ataynahumu alkitabayaAAlamoona annahu munazzalun min rabbika bilhaqqifala takoonanna mina almumtareen
[Say,] ‘Shall I seek a judge other than Allah, while it is He who has sent down to you the Book, well-elaborated?’ Those whom We have given the Book know that it has been sent down from your Lord with the truth; so do not be one of the skeptics.Ali Quli Qarai
[Say], "Then is it other than Allāh I should seek as judge while it is He who has revealed to you the Book [i.e., the Qur’ān] explained in detail?" And those to whom We [previously] gave the Scripture know that it is sent down from your Lord in truth, so never be among the doubters.Saheeh International
-
6:115
وَتَ
مّ َتْ كَلِمَتُ رَبِّكَ صِدْ قً ۭا و َعَدْ لً ۭاۚ ل َّا مُبَدِّلَ لِكَلِمَٰ تِهِۦ ۚ وَهُوَٱ ل سَّمِيعُٱ لْعَلِي مُ ١١٥Watammat kalimatu rabbika sidqanwaAAadlan la mubaddila likalimatihi wahuwa assameeAAualAAaleem
The word of your Lord has been fulfilled in truth and justice. Nothing can change His words, and He is the All-hearing, the All-knowing.Ali Quli Qarai
And the word of your Lord has been fulfilled in truth and in justice. None can alter His words, and He is the Hearing, the Knowing.Saheeh International
-
6:116
وَإِ
ن ت ُطِعْ أَكْثَرَ مَن ف ِىٱ لْأَرْضِ يُضِلُّوكَ عَن س َبِيلِٱ للَّهِ ۚ إِن ي َتَّبِعُونَ إِلَّاٱ ل ظَّنّ َ وَإِنْ هُمْ إِلَّا يَخْرُصُو نَ ١١٦Wa-in tutiAA akthara man fee al-ardiyudillooka AAan sabeeli Allahi in yattabiAAoona illaaththanna wa-in hum illa yakhrusoon
If you obey most of those on the earth, they will lead you astray from the way of Allah. They follow nothing but conjectures and they do nothing but surmise.Ali Quli Qarai
And if you obey most of those upon the earth, they will mislead you from the way of Allāh. They follow not except assumption, and they are not but misjudging.Saheeh International
-
6:117
إِ
نّ َ رَبَّكَ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ مَن ي َضِلُّ عَن س َبِيلِهِۦ ۖ وَهُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِٱ لْمُهْتَدِي نَ ١١٧Inna rabbaka huwa aAAlamu man yadilluAAan sabeelihi wahuwa aAAlamu bilmuhtadeen
Indeed your Lord knows best those who stray from His way; and He knows best those who are guided.Ali Quli Qarai
Indeed, your Lord is most knowing of who strays from His way, and He is most knowing of the [rightly] guided.Saheeh International
-
6:118
فَكُلُو
ا۟ مِمّ َا ذُكِرَٱ سْمُٱ للَّهِ عَلَيْهِ إِن ك ُنت ُم ب َِٔايَٰ تِهِۦ مُؤْمِنِي نَ ١١٨Fakuloo mimma thukira ismuAllahi AAalayhi in kuntum bi-ayatihimu/mineen
Eat from that over which Allah’s Name has been mentioned, if you are believers in His signs.Ali Quli Qarai
So eat of that [meat] upon which the name of Allāh has been mentioned, if you are believers in His verses [i.e., revealed law].Saheeh International
-
6:119
وَمَا لَكُمْ أَلَّا تَأْكُلُو
ا۟ مِمّ َا ذُكِرَٱ سْمُٱ للَّهِ عَلَيْهِ وَقَدْ فَصَّلَ لَكُم م َّا حَرَّمَ عَلَيْكُمْ إِلَّا مَاٱ ضْطُرِرْتُمْ إِلَيْهِ ۗ وَإِنّ َ كَثِيرً ۭا ل َّيُضِلُّونَ بِأَهْوَا ٓئِهِم ب ِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ ۗ إِنّ َ رَبَّكَ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِٱ لْمُعْتَدِي نَ ١١٩Wama lakum alla ta/kuloo mimmathukira ismu Allahi AAalayhi waqad fassalalakum ma harrama AAalaykum illa ma idturirtumilayhi wa-inna katheeran layudilloona bi-ahwa-ihimbighayri AAilmin inna rabbaka huwa aAAlamu bilmuAAtadeen
Why should you not eat that over which Allah’s Name has been mentioned, while He has already elaborated for you whatever He has forbidden you, excepting what you may be compelled to [eat in an emergency]? Indeed many mislead [others] by their fancies, without any knowledge. Indeed your Lord knows best the transgressors.Ali Quli Qarai
And why should you not eat of that upon which the name of Allāh has been mentioned while He has explained in detail to you what He has forbidden you, excepting that to which you are compelled. And indeed do many lead [others] astray through their [own] inclinations without knowledge. Indeed, your Lord - He is most knowing of the transgressors.Saheeh International
-
6:120
وَذَرُو
ا۟ ظَٰ هِرَٱ لْإِثْمِ وَبَاطِنَهُۥٓ ۚ إِنّ َٱ لَّذِينَ يَكْسِبُونَٱ لْإِثْمَ سَيُجْ زَوْنَ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَقْ تَرِفُو نَ ١٢٠Watharoo thahiraal-ithmi wabatinahu inna allatheena yaksiboonaal-ithma sayujzawna bima kanoo yaqtarifoon
Renounce outward sins and the inward ones. Indeed those who commit sins shall be requited for what they used to commit.Ali Quli Qarai
And leave [i.e., desist from] what is apparent of sin and what is concealed thereof. Indeed, those who earn [blame for] sin will be recompensed for that which they used to commit.Saheeh International
-
6:121
وَلَا تَأْكُلُو
ا۟ مِمّ َا لَمْ يُذْكَرِٱ سْمُٱ للَّهِ عَلَيْهِ وَإِنّ َهُۥ لَفِسْقٌ ۭۗ و َإِنّ َٱ ل شَّيَٰ طِينَ لَيُوحُونَ إِلَىٰٓ أَوْلِيَا ٓئِهِمْ لِيُجَٰ دِلُوكُمْ ۖ وَإِنْ أَطَعْتُمُوهُمْ إِنّ َكُمْ لَمُشْرِكُو نَ ١٢١Wala ta/kuloo mimma lam yuthkariismu Allahi AAalayhi wa-innahu lafisqun wa-inna ashshayateenalayoohoona ila awliya-ihim liyujadilookumwa-in ataAAtumoohum innakum lamushrikoon
Do not eat [anything] of that over which Allah’s Name has not been mentioned, and that is indeed transgression. Indeed the satans inspire their friends to dispute with you; and if you obey them, you will indeed be polytheists.Ali Quli Qarai
And do not eat of that upon which the name of Allāh has not been mentioned, for indeed, it is grave disobedience. And indeed do the devils inspire their allies [among men] to dispute with you. And if you were to obey them, indeed, you would be associators [of others with Him].Saheeh International
-
6:122
أَوَمَ
ن ك َانَ مَيْتً ۭا ف َأَحْيَيْنَٰ هُ وَجَعَلْنَا لَهُۥ نُورً ۭا ي َمْشِى بِهِۦ فِىٱ ل نّ َاسِ كَمَن م َّثَلُهُۥ فِىٱ ل ظُّلُمَٰ تِ لَيْسَ بِخَارِجٍ ۢم ِّنْهَا ۚ كَذَٰ لِكَ زُيِّنَ لِلْكَٰ فِرِينَ مَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُو نَ ١٢٢Awa man kana maytan faahyaynahuwajaAAalna lahu nooran yamshee bihi fee annasikaman mathaluhu fee aththulumatilaysa bikharijin minha kathalika zuyyinalilkafireena ma kanoo yaAAmaloon
Is he who was lifeless, then We gave him life and provided him with a light by which he walks among the people, like one who dwells in a manifold darkness which he cannot leave? To the faithless is thus presented as decorous what they have been doing.Ali Quli Qarai
And is one who was dead and We gave him life and made for him light by which to walk among the people like one who is in darkness, never to emerge therefrom? Thus it has been made pleasing to the disbelievers that which they were doing.Saheeh International
-
6:123
وَكَذَ
ٰ لِكَ جَعَلْنَا فِى كُلِّ قَرْيَةٍ أَكَٰ بِرَ مُجْ رِمِيهَا لِيَمْكُرُوا۟ فِيهَا ۖ وَمَا يَمْكُرُونَ إِلَّا بِأَنف ُسِهِمْ وَمَا يَشْعُرُو نَ ١٢٣Wakathalika jaAAalna feekulli qaryatin akabira mujrimeeha liyamkuroo feehawama yamkuroona illa bi-anfusihim wamayashAAuroon
Thus have We installed in every town its major criminals that they may plot therein. Yet they do not plot except against their own souls, but they are not aware.Ali Quli Qarai
And thus We have placed within every city the greatest of its criminals to conspire therein. But they conspire not except against themselves, and they perceive [it] not.Saheeh International
-
6:124
وَإِذَا ج
َا ٓءَتْهُمْ ءَايَةٌ ۭق َالُوا۟ لَن ن ُّؤْمِنَ حَتَّىٰ نُؤْتَىٰ مِثْلَ مَآ أُوتِىَ رُسُلُٱ للَّهِ ۘٱ للَّهُ أَعْلَمُ حَيْثُ يَجْ عَلُ رِسَالَتَهُۥ ۗ سَيُصِيبُٱ لَّذِينَ أَجْ رَمُوا۟ صَغَارٌ عِند َٱ للَّهِ وَعَذَابٌ ۭش َدِيدٌۢ ب ِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَمْكُرُو نَ ١٢٤Wa-itha jaat-hum ayatunqaloo lan nu/mina hatta nu/ta mithlama ootiya rusulu Allahi Allahu aAAlamu haythuyajAAalu risalatahu sayuseebu allatheenaajramoo sagharun AAinda Allahi waAAathabunshadeedun bima kanoo yamkuroon
When a sign comes to them, they say, ‘We will not believe until we are given the like of what was given to Allah’s apostles.’ Allah knows best where to place His apostleship! Soon the guilty will be visited by a degradation and severe punishment from Allah because of the plots they used to devise.Ali Quli Qarai
And when a sign comes to them, they say, "Never will we believe until we are given like that which was given to the messengers of Allāh." Allāh is most knowing of where [i.e., with whom] He places His message. There will afflict those who committed crimes debasement before Allāh and severe punishment for what they used to conspire.Saheeh International
-
6:125
فَم
َن ي ُرِدِٱ للَّهُ أَن ي َهْدِيَهُۥ يَشْرَحْ صَدْ رَهُۥ لِلْإِسْلَٰ مِ ۖ وَمَن ي ُرِدْ أَن ي ُضِلَّهُۥ يَجْ عَلْ صَدْ رَهُۥ ضَيِّقًا حَرَجً ۭا ك َأَنّ َمَا يَصَّعَّدُ فِىٱ ل سَّمَا ٓءِ ۚ كَذَٰ لِكَ يَجْ عَلُٱ للَّهُٱ ل رِّجْ سَ عَلَىٱ لَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُو نَ ١٢٥Faman yuridi Allahu an yahdiyahuyashrah sadrahu lil-islami waman yurid an yudillahuyajAAal sadrahu dayyiqan harajan kaannamayassaAAAAadu fee assama-i kathalikayajAAalu Allahu arrijsa AAala allatheenala yu/minoon
Whomever Allah desires to guide, He opens his breast to Islam, and whomever He desires to lead astray, He makes his breast narrow and straitened as if he were climbing to a height. Thus does Allah lay [spiritual] defilement on those who do not have faith.Ali Quli Qarai
So whoever Allāh wants to guide - He expands his breast to [contain] Islām; and whoever He wants to send astray - He makes his breast tight and constricted as though he were climbing into the sky. Thus does Allāh place defilement upon those who do not believe.Saheeh International

6:126
وَهَ
ٰ ذَا صِرَٰ طُ رَبِّكَ مُسْتَقِيمً ۭا ۗ ق َدْ فَصَّلْنَاٱ لَْٔايَٰ تِ لِقَوْمٍ ۢي َذَّكَّرُو نَ ١٢٦Wahatha siratu rabbikamustaqeeman qad fassalna al-ayatiliqawmin yaththakkaroon
This is the straight path of your Lord. We have already elaborated the signs for a people who take admonition.Ali Quli Qarai
And this is the path of your Lord, [leading] straight. We have detailed the verses for a people who remember.Saheeh International
-
6:127
۞ لَهُمْ دَارُ
ٱ ل سَّلَٰ مِ عِند َ رَبِّهِمْ ۖ وَهُوَ وَلِيُّهُم ب ِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُو نَ ١٢٧Lahum daru assalamiAAinda rabbihim wahuwa waliyyuhum bima kanooyaAAmaloon
For them shall be the abode of peace near their Lord and He will be their guardian because of what they used to do.Ali Quli Qarai
For them will be the Home of Peace [i.e., Paradise] with their Lord. And He will be their protecting friend because of what they used to do.Saheeh International

6:128
وَيَوْمَ يَحْشُرُهُمْ جَمِي
عً ۭا ي َٰ مَعْشَرَٱ لْجِنّ ِ قَدِٱ سْتَكْثَرْتُم م ِّنَٱ لْإِنس ِ ۖ وَقَالَ أَوْلِيَا ٓؤُهُم م ِّنَٱ لْإِنس ِ رَبَّنَاٱ سْتَمْتَعَ بَعْضُنَا بِبَعْضٍ ۢو َبَلَغْنَآ أَجَلَنَاٱ لَّذِىٓ أَجَّلْتَ لَنَا ۚ قَالَٱ ل نّ َارُ مَثْوَىٰ كُمْ خَٰ لِدِينَ فِيهَآ إِلَّا مَا شَا ٓءَٱ للَّهُ ۗ إِنّ َ رَبَّكَ حَكِيمٌ عَلِي مٌۭ ١٢٨Wayawma yahshuruhum jameeAAan yamaAAshara aljinni qadi istakthartum mina al-insi waqalaawliyaohum mina al-insi rabbana istamtaAAa baAAdunabibaAAdin wabalaghna ajalana allatheeajjalta lana qala annaru mathwakumkhalideena feeha illa ma shaaAllahu inna rabbaka hakeemun AAaleem
On the day He will gather them all together, [He will say], ‘O company of jinn! You claimed many of the humans.’ Their friends from among the humans will say, ‘Our Lord, we used each other, and we completed our term which You had appointed for us.’ He will say, ‘The Fire is your abode, to remain in it [forever], except what Allah may wish.’ Indeed your Lord is all-wise, all-knowing.Ali Quli Qarai
And [mention, O Muḥammad], the Day when He will gather them together [and say], "O company of jinn, you have [misled] many of mankind." And their allies among mankind will say, "Our Lord, some of us made use of others, and we have [now] reached our term which You appointed for us." He will say, "The Fire is your residence, wherein you will abide eternally, except for what Allāh wills. Indeed, your Lord is Wise and Knowing."Saheeh International

6:129
وَكَذَ
ٰ لِكَ نُوَلِّى بَعْضَٱ ل ظَّٰ لِمِينَ بَعْضًۢا ب ِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَكْسِبُو نَ ١٢٩Wakathalika nuwallee baAAda aththalimeenabaAAdan bima kanoo yaksiboon
That is how We make the wrongdoers one another’s friends because of what they used to earn.Ali Quli Qarai
And thus will We make some of the wrongdoers allies of others for what they used to earn.Saheeh International

6:130
يَ
ٰ مَعْشَرَٱ لْجِنّ ِ وَٱ لْإِنس ِ أَلَمْ يَأْتِكُمْ رُسُلٌ ۭم ِّنك ُمْ يَقُصُّونَ عَلَيْكُمْ ءَايَٰ تِى وَيُنذ ِرُونَكُمْ لِقَا ٓءَ يَوْمِكُمْ هَٰ ذَا ۚ قَالُوا۟ شَهِدْ نَا عَلَىٰٓ أَنف ُسِنَا ۖ وَغَرَّتْهُمُٱ لْحَيَو ٰ ةُٱ ل دُّنْيَا وَشَهِدُوا۟ عَلَىٰٓ أَنف ُسِهِمْ أَنّ َهُمْ كَانُوا۟ كَٰ فِرِي نَ ١٣٠Ya maAAshara aljinni wal-insialam ya/tikum rusulun minkum yaqussoona AAalaykum ayateewayunthiroonakum liqaa yawmikum hatha qalooshahidna AAala anfusina wagharrat-humu alhayatuaddunya washahidoo AAala anfusihim annahumkanoo kafireen
‘O company of jinn and humans! Did there not come to you apostles from yourselves, recounting to you My signs and warning you of the encounter of this Day?’ They will say, ‘We testify against ourselves.’ The life of this world had deceived them, and they will testify against themselves that they had been faithless.Ali Quli Qarai
"O company of jinn and mankind, did there not come to you messengers from among you, relating to you My verses and warning you of the meeting of this Day of yours?" They will say, "We bear witness against ourselves"; and the worldly life had deluded them, and they will bear witness against themselves that they were disbelievers.Saheeh International

6:131
ذَ
ٰ لِكَ أَن ل َّمْ يَكُن ر َّبُّكَ مُهْلِكَٱ لْقُرَىٰ بِظُلْمٍ ۢو َأَهْلُهَا غَٰ فِلُو نَ ١٣١Thalika an lam yakun rabbuka muhlikaalqura bithulmin waahluha ghafiloon
This is because your Lord would never destroy the towns unjustly while their people were unaware.Ali Quli Qarai
That is because your Lord would not destroy the cities for wrongdoing while their people were unaware.Saheeh International
-
6:132
وَلِكُ
لٍّ ۢد َرَجَٰ تٌ ۭم ِّمّ َا عَمِلُوا۟ ۚ وَمَا رَبُّكَ بِغَٰ فِلٍ عَمّ َا يَعْمَلُو نَ ١٣٢Walikullin darajatun mimmaAAamiloo wama rabbuka bighafilin AAammayaAAmaloon
For everyone there are ranks in accordance with what they have done; and your Lord is not oblivious of what they do.Ali Quli Qarai
And for all are degrees [i.e., positions resulting] from what they have done. And your Lord is not unaware of what they do.Saheeh International

6:133
وَرَبُّكَ
ٱ لْغَنِىُّ ذُوٱ ل رَّحْمَةِ ۚ إِن ي َشَأْ يُذْهِبْ كُمْ وَيَسْتَخْلِفْ مِنۢ ب َعْدِكُم م َّا يَشَا ٓءُ كَمَآ أَنش َأَكُم م ِّن ذ ُرِّيَّةِ قَوْمٍ ءَاخَرِي نَ ١٣٣Warabbuka alghaniyyu thoo arrahmatiin yasha/ yuthhibkum wayastakhlif min baAAdikum mayashao kama anshaakum min thurriyyati qawminakhareen
Your Lord is the All-sufficient dispenser of mercy. If He wishes, He will take you away, and make whomever He wishes succeed you, just as He produced you from the descendants of another people.Ali Quli Qarai
And your Lord is the Free of need, the possessor of mercy. If He wills, He can do away with you and give succession after you to whomever He wills, just as He produced you from the descendants of another people.Saheeh International

6:134
إِ
نّ َ مَا تُوعَدُونَ لََٔاتٍ ۢۖ و َمَآ أَنت ُم ب ِمُعْجِزِي نَ ١٣٤Inna ma tooAAadoona laatinwama antum bimuAAjizeen
Indeed what you are promised will surely come, and you will not be able to thwart it.Ali Quli Qarai
Indeed, what you are promised is coming, and you will not cause failure [to Allāh].Saheeh International

6:135
قُلْ يَ
ٰ قَوْمِٱ عْمَلُوا۟ عَلَىٰ مَكَانَتِكُمْ إِنّ ِى عَامِلٌ ۭۖ ف َسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ مَن ت َكُونُ لَهُۥ عَٰ قِبَةُٱ ل دَّارِ ۗ إِنّ َهُۥ لَا يُفْلِحُٱ ل ظَّٰ لِمُو نَ ١٣٥Qul ya qawmi iAAmaloo AAalamakanatikum innee AAamilun fasawfa taAAlamoona mantakoonu lahu AAaqibatu addari innahu layuflihu aththalimoon
Say, ‘O my people, act according to your ability; I too am acting. Soon you will know in whose favour the outcome of that abode will be. Indeed the wrongdoers will not be felicitous.’Ali Quli Qarai
Say, "O my people, work according to your position; [for] indeed, I am working. And you are going to know who will have succession in the home. Indeed, the wrongdoers will not succeed."Saheeh International

6:136
وَجَعَلُو
ا۟ لِلَّهِ مِمّ َا ذَرَأَ مِنَٱ لْحَرْثِ وَٱ لْأَنْعَٰ مِ نَصِيبً ۭا ف َقَالُوا۟ هَٰ ذَا لِلَّهِ بِزَعْمِهِمْ وَهَٰ ذَا لِشُرَكَا ٓئِنَا ۖ فَمَا كَانَ لِشُرَكَا ٓئِهِمْ فَلَا يَصِلُ إِلَىٱ للَّهِ ۖ وَمَا كَانَ لِلَّهِ فَهُوَ يَصِلُ إِلَىٰ شُرَكَا ٓئِهِمْ ۗ سَا ٓءَ مَا يَحْكُمُو نَ ١٣٦WajaAAaloo lillahi mimma tharaamina alharthi wal-anAAami naseebanfaqaloo hatha lillahi bizaAAmihim wahathalishuraka-ina fama kana lishuraka-ihimfala yasilu ila Allahi wama kanalillahi fahuwa yasilu ila shuraka-ihimsaa ma yahkumoon
They dedicate a portion to Allah out of what He has created of the crops and cattle, and say, ‘This is for Allah,’ so do they maintain, ‘and this is for our partners.’ But what is for their partners does not reach Allah, and what is for Allah reaches their partners. Evil is the judgement that they make.Ali Quli Qarai
And they [i.e., the polytheists] assign to Allāh from that which He created of crops and livestock a share and say, "This is for Allāh," by their claim, "and this is for our 'partners' [associated with Him]." But what is for their "partners" does not reach Allāh, while what is for Allāh - this reaches their "partners." Evil is that which they rule.Saheeh International

6:137
وَكَذَ
ٰ لِكَ زَيَّنَ لِكَثِيرٍ ۢم ِّنَٱ لْمُشْرِكِينَ قَتْلَ أَوْلَٰ دِهِمْ شُرَكَا ٓؤُهُمْ لِيُرْدُوهُمْ وَلِيَلْبِسُوا۟ عَلَيْهِمْ دِينَهُمْ ۖ وَلَوْ شَا ٓءَٱ للَّهُ مَا فَعَلُوهُ ۖ فَذَرْهُمْ وَمَا يَفْتَرُو نَ ١٣٧Wakathalika zayyana likatheerin minaalmushrikeena qatla awladihim shurakaohumliyurdoohum waliyalbisoo AAalayhim deenahum walaw shaa Allahuma faAAaloohu fatharhum wama yaftaroon
That is how to most of the polytheists the slaying of their children is presented as decorous by those whom they ascribe as partners [to Allah], that they may ruin them and confound their religion for them. Had Allah wished, they would not have done it. So leave them with what they fabricate.Ali Quli Qarai
And likewise, to many of the polytheists their partners have made [to seem] pleasing the killing of their children in order to bring about their destruction and to cover them with confusion in their religion. And if Allāh had willed, they would not have done so. So leave them and that which they invent.Saheeh International

6:138
وَقَالُو
ا۟ هَٰ ذِهِۦٓ أَنْعَٰ مٌ ۭو َحَرْثٌ حِجْ رٌ ۭل َّا يَطْ عَمُهَآ إِلَّا مَن ن َّشَا ٓءُ بِزَعْمِهِمْ وَأَنْعَٰ مٌ حُرِّمَتْ ظُهُورُهَا وَأَنْعَٰ مٌ ۭل َّا يَذْكُرُونَٱ سْمَٱ للَّهِ عَلَيْهَاٱ فْتِرَا ٓءً عَلَيْهِ ۚ سَيَجْ زِيهِم ب ِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَفْتَرُو نَ ١٣٨Waqaloo hathihi anAAamunwaharthun hijrun la yatAAamuhailla man nashao bizaAAmihim waanAAamun hurrimatthuhooruha waanAAamun la yathkuroonaisma Allahi AAalayha iftiraan AAalayhisayajzeehim bima kanoo yaftaroon
And they say, ‘These cattle and tillage are a taboo: none may eat them except whom we please,’ so they maintain, and there are cattle whose backs are forbidden and cattle over which they do not mention Allah’s Name, fabricating a lie against Him. Soon He will requite them for what they used to fabricate.Ali Quli Qarai
And they say, "These animals and crops are forbidden; no one may eat from them except whom we will," by their claim. And there are those [camels] whose backs are forbidden [by them] and those upon which the name of Allāh is not mentioned - [all of this] an invention of untruth about Him. He will punish them for what they were inventing.Saheeh International

6:139
وَقَالُو
ا۟ مَا فِى بُطُونِ هَٰ ذِهِٱ لْأَنْعَٰ مِ خَالِصَةٌ ۭل ِّذُكُورِنَا وَمُحَرَّمٌ عَلَىٰٓ أَزْوَٰ جِنَا ۖ وَإِن ي َكُن م َّيْتَةً ۭف َهُمْ فِيهِ شُرَكَا ٓءُ ۚ سَيَجْ زِيهِمْ وَصْفَهُمْ ۚ إِنّ َهُۥ حَكِيمٌ عَلِي مٌۭ ١٣٩Waqaloo ma fee butoonihathihi al-anAAami khalisatun lithukoorinawamuharramun AAala azwajina wa-inyakun maytatan fahum feehi shurakao sayajzeehim wasfahuminnahu hakeemun AAaleem
And they say, ‘That which is in the bellies of these cattle is exclusively for our males and forbidden to our wives. But if it be still-born, they will all share it.’ Soon He will requite them for their allegations. Indeed, He is all-wise, all-knowing.Ali Quli Qarai
And they say, "What is in the bellies of these animals is exclusively for our males and forbidden to our females. But if it is [born] dead, then all of them have shares therein." He will punish them for their description. Indeed, He is Wise and Knowing.Saheeh International

6:140
قَ
دْ خَسِرَٱ لَّذِينَ قَتَلُوٓ ا۟ أَوْلَٰ دَهُمْ سَفَهًۢا ب ِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ ۢو َحَرَّمُوا۟ مَا رَزَقَهُمُٱ للَّهُٱ فْتِرَا ٓءً عَلَىٱ للَّهِ ۚ قَدْ ضَلُّوا۟ وَمَا كَانُوا۟ مُهْتَدِي نَ ١٤٠Qad khasira allatheena qataloo awladahumsafahan bighayri AAilmin waharramoo ma razaqahumuAllahu iftiraan AAala Allahi qad dalloowama kanoo muhtadeen
They are certainly losers who slay their children foolishly without knowledge, and forbid what Allah has provided them, fabricating a lie against Allah. Certainly, they have gone astray and are not guided.Ali Quli Qarai
They will have lost who killed their children in foolishness without knowledge and prohibited what Allāh had provided for them, inventing untruth about Allāh. They have gone astray and were not [rightly] guided.Saheeh International

6:141
۞ وَهُوَ
ٱ لَّذِىٓ أَنش َأَ جَنّ َٰ تٍ ۢم َّعْرُوشَٰ تٍ ۢو َغَيْرَ مَعْرُوشَٰ تٍ ۢو َٱ ل نّ َخْلَ وَٱ ل زَّرْعَ مُخْتَلِفًا أُكُلُهُۥ وَٱ ل زَّيْتُونَ وَٱ ل رُّمّ َانَ مُتَشَٰ بِهً ۭا و َغَيْرَ مُتَشَٰ بِهٍ ۢۚ ك ُلُوا۟ مِن ث َمَرِهِۦٓ إِذَآ أَثْمَرَ وَءَاتُوا۟ حَقَّهُۥ يَوْمَ حَصَادِهِۦ ۖ وَلَا تُسْرِفُوٓ ا۟ ۚ إِنّ َهُۥ لَا يُحِبُّٱ لْمُسْرِفِي نَ ١٤١Wahuwa allathee anshaa jannatinmaAArooshatin waghayra maAArooshatin wannakhlawazzarAAa mukhtalifan okuluhu wazzaytoona warrummanamutashabihan waghayra mutashabihin kuloo minthamarihi itha athmara waatoo haqqahu yawma hasadihiwala tusrifoo innahu la yuhibbu almusrifeen
It is He who produces gardens trellised and without trellises, and palm-trees and crops of diverse produce, olives and pomegranates, similar and dissimilar. Eat of its fruits when it fructifies, and give its due on the day of harvest, and do not be wasteful; indeed, He does not like the wasteful.Ali Quli Qarai
And He it is who causes gardens to grow, [both] trellised and untrellised, and palm trees and crops of different [kinds of] food and olives and pomegranates, similar and dissimilar. Eat of [each of] its fruit when it yields and give its due [zakāh] on the day of its harvest. And be not excessive. Indeed, He does not like those who commit excess.Saheeh International

6:142
وَمِنَ
ٱ لْأَنْعَٰ مِ حَمُولَةً ۭو َفَرْشً ۭا ۚ ك ُلُوا۟ مِمّ َا رَزَقَكُمُٱ للَّهُ وَلَا تَتَّبِعُوا۟ خُطُوَٰ تِٱ ل شَّيْطَٰ نِ ۚ إِنّ َهُۥ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّ ۭم ُّبِي نٌۭ ١٤٢Wamina al-anAAami hamoolatanwafarshan kuloo mimma razaqakumu Allahu walatattabiAAoo khutuwati ashshaytaniinnahu lakum AAaduwwun mubeen
Of the cattle [some] are for burden and [some] for slaughter. Eat of what Allah has provided you and do not follow in Satan’s footsteps; he is indeed your manifest enemy.Ali Quli Qarai
And of the grazing livestock are carriers [of burdens] and those [too] small. Eat of what Allāh has provided for you and do not follow the footsteps of Satan. Indeed, he is to you a clear enemy.Saheeh International

6:143
ثَمَ
ٰ نِيَةَ أَزْوَٰ جٍ ۢۖ م ِّنَٱ ل ضَّأْنِٱ ثْنَيْنِ وَمِنَٱ لْمَعْزِٱ ثْنَيْنِ ۗ قُلْ ءَآلذَّكَرَيْنِ حَرَّمَ أَمِٱ لْأُنث َيَيْنِ أَمّ َاٱ شْتَمَلَتْ عَلَيْهِ أَرْحَامُٱ لْأُنث َيَيْنِ ۖ نَبُِّٔونِى بِعِلْمٍ إِن ك ُنت ُمْ صَٰ دِقِي نَ ١٤٣Thamaniyata azwajin mina adda/niithnayni wamina almaAAzi ithnayni qul aththakarayniharrama ami alonthayayni amma ishtamalat AAalayhiarhamu alonthayayni nabbi-oonee biAAilmin in kuntum sadiqeen
Eight mates: two of sheep, and two of goats. Say, ‘Is it the two males that He has forbidden or the two females, or what is contained in the wombs of the two females? Inform me with knowledge, should you be truthful.’Ali Quli Qarai
[They are] eight mates - of the sheep, two and of the goats, two. Say, "Is it the two males He has forbidden or the two females or that which the wombs of the two females contain? Inform me with knowledge, if you should be truthful."Saheeh International

6:144
وَمِنَ
ٱ لْإِبِلِٱ ثْنَيْنِ وَمِنَٱ لْبَقَرِٱ ثْنَيْنِ ۗ قُلْ ءَآلذَّكَرَيْنِ حَرَّمَ أَمِٱ لْأُنث َيَيْنِ أَمّ َاٱ شْتَمَلَتْ عَلَيْهِ أَرْحَامُٱ لْأُنث َيَيْنِ ۖ أَمْ كُنت ُمْ شُهَدَا ٓءَ إِذْ وَصَّىٰ كُمُٱ للَّهُ بِهَٰ ذَا ۚ فَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمّ َنِٱ فْتَرَىٰ عَلَىٱ للَّهِ كَذِبً ۭا ل ِّيُضِلَّٱ ل نّ َاسَ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ ۗ إِنّ َٱ للَّهَ لَا يَهْدِىٱ لْقَوْمَٱ ل ظَّٰ لِمِي نَ ١٤٤Wamina al-ibili ithnayni wamina albaqariithnayni qul aththakarayni harramaami alonthayayni amma ishtamalat AAalayhi arhamualonthayayni am kuntum shuhadaa ith wassakumuAllahu bihatha faman athlamu mimmaniiftara AAala Allahi kathiban liyudillaannasa bighayri AAilmin inna Allaha layahdee alqawma aththalimeen
And two of camels and two of oxen. Say, ‘Is it the two males that He has forbidden or the two females, or what is contained in the wombs of the two females? Were you witnesses when Allah enjoined this upon you?’ So who is a greater wrongdoer than him who fabricates a lie against Allah to mislead the people without any knowledge? Indeed Allah does not guide the wrongdoing lot.Ali Quli Qarai
And of the camels, two and of the cattle, two. Say, "Is it the two males He has forbidden or the two females or that which the wombs of the two females contain? Or were you witnesses when Allāh charged you with this? Then who is more unjust than one who invents a lie about Allāh to mislead the people by [something] other than knowledge? Indeed, Allāh does not guide the wrongdoing people."Saheeh International

6:145
قُل لّ
َآ أَجِدُ فِى مَآ أُوحِىَ إِلَىَّ مُحَرَّمًا عَلَىٰ طَاعِمٍ ۢي َطْ عَمُهُۥٓ إِلَّآ أَن ي َكُونَ مَيْتَةً أَوْ دَمً ۭا م َّسْفُوحًا أَوْ لَحْمَ خِنز ِيرٍ ۢف َإِنّ َهُۥ رِجْ سٌ أَوْ فِسْقًا أُهِلَّ لِغَيْرِٱ للَّهِ بِهِۦ ۚ فَمَنِٱ ضْطُرَّ غَيْرَ بَاغٍ ۢو َلَا عَادٍ ۢف َإِنّ َ رَبَّكَ غَفُورٌ ۭر َّحِي مٌۭ ١٤٥Qul la ajidu feema oohiyailayya muharraman AAala taAAimin yatAAamuhuilla an yakoona maytatan aw daman masfoohan aw lahmakhinzeerin fa-innahu rijsun aw fisqan ohilla lighayri Allahibihi famani idturra ghayra baghin wala AAadinfa-inna rabbaka ghafoorun raheem
Say, ‘I do not find in what has been revealed to me that anyone be forbidden to eat anything except carrion or spilt blood, or the flesh of swine—for that is indeed unclean—or an impiety offered to other than Allah.’ But should someone be compelled, without being rebellious or aggressive, indeed your Lord is all-forgiving, all-merciful.Ali Quli Qarai
Say, "I do not find within that which was revealed to me [anything] forbidden to one who would eat it unless it be a dead animal or blood spilled out or the flesh of swine - for indeed, it is impure - or it be [that slaughtered in] disobedience, dedicated to other than Allāh. But whoever is forced [by necessity], neither desiring [it] nor transgressing [its limit], then indeed, your Lord is Forgiving and Merciful."Saheeh International

6:146
وَعَلَى
ٱ لَّذِينَ هَادُوا۟ حَرَّمْنَا كُلَّ ذِى ظُفُرٍ ۢۖ و َمِنَٱ لْبَقَرِ وَٱ لْغَنَمِ حَرَّمْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ شُحُومَهُمَآ إِلَّا مَا حَمَلَتْ ظُهُورُهُمَآ أَوِٱ لْحَوَايَآ أَوْ مَاٱ خْتَلَطَ بِعَظْمٍ ۢۚ ذ َٰ لِكَ جَزَيْنَٰ هُم ب ِبَغْيِهِمْ ۖ وَإِنّ َا لَصَٰ دِقُو نَ ١٤٦WaAAala allatheena hadooharramna kulla thee thufurinwamina albaqari walghanami harramnaAAalayhim shuhoomahuma illa ma hamalatthuhooruhuma awi alhawayaaw ma ikhtalata biAAathmin thalikajazaynahum bibaghyihim wa-inna lasadiqoon
To the Jews We forbade every animal having an undivided hoof, and of oxen and sheep We forbade them their fat, except what is borne by their backs or the entrails, or what is attached to the bones. We requited them with that for their rebelliousness, and We indeed speak the truth.Ali Quli Qarai
And to those who are Jews We prohibited every animal of uncloven hoof; and of the cattle and the sheep We prohibited to them their fat, except what adheres to their backs or the entrails or what is joined with bone. [By] that We repaid them for their transgression. And indeed, We are truthful.Saheeh International

6:147
فَإِ
ن ك َذَّبُوكَ فَقُل رَّبُّكُمْ ذُو رَحْمَةٍ ۢو َٰ سِعَةٍ ۢو َلَا يُرَدُّ بَأْسُهُۥ عَنِٱ لْقَوْمِٱ لْمُجْ رِمِي نَ ١٤٧Fa-in kaththabooka faqul rabbukum thoorahmatin wasiAAatin wala yuraddu ba/suhuAAani alqawmi almujrimeen
But if they deny you, say, ‘Your Lord is dispenser of an all-embracing mercy, but His punishment will not be averted from the guilty lot.’Ali Quli Qarai
So if they deny you, [O Muḥammad], say, "Your Lord is the possessor of vast mercy; but His punishment cannot be repelled from the people who are criminals."Saheeh International

6:148
سَيَقُولُ
ٱ لَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُوا۟ لَوْ شَا ٓءَٱ للَّهُ مَآ أَشْرَكْنَا وَلَآ ءَابَا ٓؤُنَا وَلَا حَرَّمْنَا مِن شَىْءٍ ۢۚ ك َذَٰ لِكَ كَذَّبَٱ لَّذِينَ مِن ق َبْ لِهِمْ حَتَّىٰ ذَاقُوا۟ بَأْسَنَا ۗ قُلْ هَلْ عِند َكُم م ِّنْ عِلْمٍ ۢف َتُخْرِجُوهُ لَنَآ ۖ إِن ت َتَّبِعُونَ إِلَّاٱ ل ظَّنّ َ وَإِنْ أَنت ُمْ إِلَّا تَخْرُصُو نَ ١٤٨Sayaqoolu allatheena ashrakoo law shaaAllahu ma ashrakna wala abaonawala harramna min shay-in kathalikakaththaba allatheena min qablihim hattathaqoo ba/sana qul hal AAindakum min AAilminfatukhrijoohu lana in tattabiAAoona illa aththannawa-in antum illa takhrusoon
The polytheists will say, ‘Had Allah wished we would not have ascribed any partner [to Him], nor our fathers, nor would we have forbidden anything.’ Those who were before them had denied likewise until they tasted Our punishment. Say, ‘Do you have any [revealed] knowledge that you can produce before us? You follow nothing but conjectures, and you do nothing but surmise.’Ali Quli Qarai
Those who associated [others] with Allāh will say, "If Allāh had willed, we would not have associated [anything] and neither would our fathers, nor would we have prohibited anything." Likewise did those before deny until they tasted Our punishment. Say, "Do you have any knowledge that you can produce for us? You follow not except assumption, and you are not but misjudging."Saheeh International

6:149
قُلْ فَلِلَّهِ
ٱ لْحُجَّةُٱ لْبَٰ لِغَةُ ۖ فَلَوْ شَا ٓءَ لَهَدَىٰ كُمْ أَجْ مَعِي نَ ١٤٩Qul falillahi alhujjatu albalighatufalaw shaa lahadakum ajmaAAeen
Say, ‘To Allah belongs the conclusive argument. Had He wished, He would have surely guided you all.’Ali Quli Qarai
Say, "With Allāh is the far-reaching [i.e., conclusive] argument. If He had willed, He would have guided you all."Saheeh International

6:150
قُلْ هَلُ
مّ َ شُهَدَا ٓءَكُمُٱ لَّذِينَ يَشْهَدُونَ أَنّ َٱ للَّهَ حَرَّمَ هَٰ ذَا ۖ فَإِن ش َهِدُوا۟ فَلَا تَشْهَدْ مَعَهُمْ ۚ وَلَا تَتَّبِعْ أَهْوَا ٓءَٱ لَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا۟ بَِٔايَٰ تِنَا وَٱ لَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱ لَْٔاخِرَةِ وَهُم ب ِرَبِّهِمْ يَعْدِلُو نَ ١٥٠Qul halumma shuhadaakumu allatheenayashhadoona anna Allaha harrama hatha fa-inshahidoo fala tashhad maAAahum wala tattabiAA ahwaaallatheena kaththaboo bi-ayatinawallatheena la yu/minoona bil-akhiratiwahum birabbihim yaAAdiloon
Say, ‘Bring your witnesses who may testify that Allah has forbidden this.’ So if they testify, do not testify with them, and do not follow the desires of those who deny Our signs, and those who do not believe in the Hereafter and equate [others] with their Lord.Ali Quli Qarai
Say, [O Muḥammad], "Bring forward your witnesses who will testify that Allāh has prohibited this." And if they testify, do not testify with them. And do not follow the desires of those who deny Our verses and those who do not believe in the Hereafter, while they equate [others] with their Lord.Saheeh International

6:151
۞ قُلْ تَعَالَوْ
ا۟ أَتْلُ مَا حَرَّمَ رَبُّكُمْ عَلَيْكُمْ ۖ أَلَّا تُشْرِكُوا۟ بِهِۦ شَئًْ ۭا ۖ و َبِٱ لْوَٰ لِدَيْنِ إِحْسَٰ نً ۭا ۖ و َلَا تَقْ تُلُوٓ ا۟ أَوْلَٰ دَكُم م ِّنْ إِمْلَٰ قٍ ۢۖ ن َّحْنُ نَرْزُقُكُمْ وَإِيَّاهُمْ ۖ وَلَا تَقْ رَبُوا۟ ٱ لْفَوَٰ حِشَ مَا ظَهَرَ مِنْهَا وَمَا بَطَنَ ۖ وَلَا تَقْ تُلُوا۟ ٱ ل نّ َفْسَٱ لَّتِى حَرَّمَٱ للَّهُ إِلَّا بِٱ لْحَقِّ ۚ ذَٰ لِكُمْ وَصَّىٰ كُم ب ِهِۦ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَعْقِلُو نَ ١٥١Qul taAAalaw atlu ma harramarabbukum AAalaykum alla tushrikoo bihi shay-an wabilwalidayniihsanan wala taqtuloo awladakum minimlaqin nahnu narzuqukum wa-iyyahum walataqraboo alfawahisha ma thahara minhawama batana wala taqtuloo annafsaallatee harrama Allahu illa bilhaqqithalikum wassakum bihi laAAallakum taAAqiloon
Say, ‘Come, I will recount what your Lord has forbidden you. That you shall not ascribe any partners to Him, and you shall be good to the parents, you shall not kill your children due to penury—We will provide for you and for them—you shall not approach indecencies, the outward among them and the inward ones, and you shall not kill a soul [whose life] Allah has made inviolable, except with due cause. This is what He has enjoined upon you so that you may exercise your reason.Ali Quli Qarai
Say, "Come, I will recite what your Lord has prohibited to you. [He commands] that you not associate anything with Him, and to parents, good treatment, and do not kill your children out of poverty; We will provide for you and them. And do not approach immoralities - what is apparent of them and what is concealed. And do not kill the soul which Allāh has forbidden [to be killed] except by [legal] right. This has He instructed you that you may use reason."Saheeh International

6:152
وَلَا تَ
قْ رَبُوا۟ مَالَٱ لْيَتِيمِ إِلَّا بِٱ لَّتِى هِىَ أَحْسَنُ حَتَّىٰ يَبْ لُغَ أَشُدَّهُۥ ۖ وَأَوْفُوا۟ ٱ لْكَيْلَ وَٱ لْمِيزَانَ بِٱ لْقِسْطِ ۖ لَا نُكَلِّفُ نَفْسًا إِلَّا وُسْعَهَا ۖ وَإِذَا قُلْتُمْ فَٱ عْدِلُوا۟ وَلَوْ كَانَ ذَا قُرْبَىٰ ۖ وَبِعَهْدِٱ للَّهِ أَوْفُوا۟ ۚ ذَٰ لِكُمْ وَصَّىٰ كُم ب ِهِۦ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُو نَ ١٥٢Wala taqraboo mala alyateemiilla billatee hiya ahsanu hattayablugha ashuddahu waawfoo alkayla walmeezana bilqistila nukallifu nafsan illa wusAAaha wa-ithaqultum faAAdiloo walaw kana tha qurbawabiAAahdi Allahi awfoo thalikum wassakumbihi laAAallakum tathakkaroon
Do not approach the orphan’s property, except in the best [possible] manner, until he comes of age. And observe fully the measure and the balance with justice.’ We task no soul except according to its capacity. ‘And when you speak, be fair, even if it were a relative; and fulfill Allah’s covenant. This is what He enjoins upon you so that you may take admonition.’Ali Quli Qarai
And do not approach the orphan's property except in a way that is best [i.e., intending improvement] until he reaches maturity. And give full measure and weight in justice. We do not charge any soul except [with that within] its capacity. And when you speak [i.e., testify], be just, even if [it concerns] a near relative. And the covenant of Allāh fulfill. This has He instructed you that you may remember.Saheeh International

6:153
وَأَ
نّ َ هَٰ ذَا صِرَٰ طِى مُسْتَقِيمً ۭا ف َٱ تَّبِعُوهُ ۖ وَلَا تَتَّبِعُوا۟ ٱ ل سُّبُلَ فَتَفَرَّقَ بِكُمْ عَن س َبِيلِهِۦ ۚ ذَٰ لِكُمْ وَصَّىٰ كُم ب ِهِۦ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُو نَ ١٥٣Waanna hatha sirateemustaqeeman fattabiAAoohu wala tattabiAAoo assubulafatafarraqa bikum AAan sabeelihi thalikum wassakumbihi laAAallakum tattaqoon
‘This indeed is my straight path, so follow it, and do not follow [other] ways, for they will separate you from His way. This is what He enjoins upon you so that you may be Godwary.’Ali Quli Qarai
And, [moreover], this is My path, which is straight, so follow it; and do not follow [other] ways, for you will be separated from His way. This has He instructed you that you may become righteous.Saheeh International

6:154
ثُ
مّ َ ءَاتَيْنَا مُوسَىٱ لْكِتَٰ بَ تَمَامًا عَلَىٱ لَّذِىٓ أَحْسَنَ وَتَفْصِيلً ۭال ِّكُلِّ شَىْءٍ ۢو َهُدً ۭى و َرَحْمَةً ۭل َّعَلَّهُم ب ِلِقَا ٓءِ رَبِّهِمْ يُؤْمِنُو نَ ١٥٤Thumma atayna moosaalkitaba tamaman AAala allathee ahsanawatafseelan likulli shay-in wahudan warahmatanlaAAallahum biliqa-i rabbihim yu/minoon
Then We gave Moses the Book, completing [Our blessing] on him who is virtuous, and as an elaboration of all things, and as a guidance and mercy, so that they may believe in the encounter with their Lord.Ali Quli Qarai
Then We gave Moses the Scripture, making complete [Our favor] upon the one who did good [i.e., Moses] and as a detailed explanation of all things and as guidance and mercy that perhaps in the meeting with their Lord they would believe.Saheeh International

6:155
وَهَ
ٰ ذَا كِتَٰ بٌ أَنز َلْنَٰ هُ مُبَارَكٌ ۭف َٱ تَّبِعُوهُ وَٱ تَّقُوا۟ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُو نَ ١٥٥Wahatha kitabun anzalnahumubarakun fattabiAAoohu wattaqoolaAAallakum turhamoon
And this Book that We have sent down is a blessed one; so follow it, and be Godwary so that you may receive [His] mercy.Ali Quli Qarai
And this [Qur’ān] is a Book We have revealed [which is] blessed, so follow it and fear Allāh that you may receive mercy.Saheeh International
-
6:156
أَ
ن ت َقُولُوٓ ا۟ إِنّ َمَآ أُنز ِلَٱ لْكِتَٰ بُ عَلَىٰ طَا ٓئِفَتَيْنِ مِن ق َبْ لِنَا وَإِن ك ُنّ َا عَن د ِرَاسَتِهِمْ لَغَٰ فِلِي نَ ١٥٦An taqooloo innama onzila alkitabuAAala ta-ifatayni min qablina wa-in kunnaAAan dirasatihim laghafileen
Lest you should say, ‘The Book was sent down only to two communities before us, and we were indeed unaware of their studies,’Ali Quli Qarai
[We revealed it] lest you say, "The Scripture was only sent down to two groups before us, but we were of their study unaware,"Saheeh International
-
6:157
أَوْ تَقُولُو
ا۟ لَوْ أَنّ َآ أُنز ِلَ عَلَيْنَاٱ لْكِتَٰ بُ لَكُنّ َآ أَهْدَىٰ مِنْهُمْ ۚ فَقَدْ جَا ٓءَكُم ب َيِّنَةٌ ۭم ِّن ر َّبِّكُمْ وَهُدً ۭى و َرَحْمَةٌ ۭۚ ف َمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمّ َن ك َذَّبَ بَِٔايَٰ تِٱ للَّهِ وَصَدَفَ عَنْهَا ۗ سَنَجْ زِىٱ لَّذِينَ يَصْدِفُونَ عَنْ ءَايَٰ تِنَا سُو ٓءَٱ لْعَذَابِ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَصْدِفُو نَ ١٥٧Aw taqooloo law anna onzila AAalaynaalkitabu lakunna ahda minhum faqad jaakumbayyinatun min rabbikum wahudan warahmatun faman athlamumimman kaththaba bi-ayati Allahi wasadafaAAanha sanajzee allatheena yasdifoona AAan ayatinasoo-a alAAathabi bima kanoo yasdifoon
or [lest] you should say, ‘If the Book had been sent down to us, surely we would have been better-guided than them.’ There has already come to you a manifest proof from your Lord and a guidance and mercy. So who is a greater wrongdoer than him who denies the signs of Allah, and turns away from them? Soon We shall requite those who turn away from Our signs with a terrible punishment because of what they used to evade.Ali Quli Qarai
Or lest you say, "If only the Scripture had been revealed to us, we would have been better guided than they." So there has [now] come to you a clear evidence from your Lord and a guidance and mercy. Then who is more unjust than one who denies the verses of Allāh and turns away from them? We will recompense those who turn away from Our verses with the worst of punishment for their having turned away.Saheeh International

6:158
هَلْ يَ
نظ ُرُونَ إِلَّآ أَن ت َأْتِيَهُمُٱ لْمَلَٰٓ ئِكَةُ أَوْ يَأْتِىَ رَبُّكَ أَوْ يَأْتِىَ بَعْضُ ءَايَٰ تِ رَبِّكَ ۗ يَوْمَ يَأْتِى بَعْضُ ءَايَٰ تِ رَبِّكَ لَا يَنف َعُ نَفْسًا إِيمَٰ نُهَا لَمْ تَكُنْ ءَامَنَتْ مِن ق َبْ لُ أَوْ كَسَبَتْ فِىٓ إِيمَٰ نِهَا خَيْرً ۭا ۗ ق ُلِٱ نت َظِرُوٓ ا۟ إِنّ َا مُنت َظِرُو نَ ١٥٨Hal yanthuroona illaan ta/tiyahumu almala-ikatu aw ya/tiya rabbuka aw ya/tiyabaAAdu ayati rabbika yawma ya/tee baAAduayati rabbika la yanfaAAu nafsan eemanuhalam takun amanat min qablu aw kasabat fee eemanihakhayran quli intathiroo inna muntathiroon
Do they not consider that the angels may come to them, or your Lord may come, or some of your Lord’s signs may come? The day when some of your Lord’s signs do come, faith shall not benefit any soul that had not believed beforehand and had not earned some goodness in its faith. Say, ‘Wait! We too are waiting!’Ali Quli Qarai
Do they [then] wait for anything except that the angels should come to them or your Lord should come or that there come some of the signs of your Lord? The Day that some of the signs of your Lord will come no soul will benefit from its faith as long as it had not believed before or had earned through its faith some good. Say, "Wait. Indeed, we [also] are waiting."Saheeh International

6:159
إِ
نّ َٱ لَّذِينَ فَرَّقُوا۟ دِينَهُمْ وَكَانُوا۟ شِيَعً ۭا ل َّسْتَ مِنْهُمْ فِى شَىْءٍ ۚ إِنّ َمَآ أَمْرُهُمْ إِلَىٱ للَّهِ ثُمّ َ يُنَبِّئُهُم ب ِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَفْعَلُو نَ ١٥٩Inna allatheena farraqoo deenahumwakanoo shiyaAAan lasta minhum fee shay-in innamaamruhum ila Allahi thumma yunabbi-ohum bimakanoo yafAAaloon
Indeed those who split up their religion and became sects, you will not have anything to do with them. Their matter rests only with Allah; then He will inform them concerning what they used to do.Ali Quli Qarai
Indeed, those who have divided their religion and become sects - you, [O Muḥammad], are not [associated] with them in anything. Their affair is only [left] to Allāh; then He will inform them about what they used to do.Saheeh International

6:160
مَ
ن ج َا ٓءَ بِٱ لْحَسَنَةِ فَلَهُۥ عَشْرُ أَمْثَالِهَا ۖ وَمَن ج َا ٓءَ بِٱ ل سَّيِّئَةِ فَلَا يُجْ زَىٰٓ إِلَّا مِثْلَهَا وَهُمْ لَا يُظْلَمُو نَ ١٦٠Man jaa bilhasanatifalahu AAashru amthaliha waman jaa bissayyi-atifala yujza illa mithlaha wahum layuthlamoon
Whoever brings virtue shall receive [a reward] ten times its like; but whoever brings vice shall not be requited except with its like, and they will not be wronged.Ali Quli Qarai
Whoever comes [on the Day of Judgement] with a good deed will have ten times the like thereof [to his credit], and whoever comes with an evil deed will not be recompensed except the like thereof; and they will not be wronged.Saheeh International
-
6:161
قُلْ إِ
نّ َنِى هَدَىٰ نِى رَبِّىٓ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰ طٍ ۢم ُّسْتَقِيمٍ ۢد ِينً ۭا ق ِيَمً ۭا م ِّلَّةَ إِبْ رَٰ هِيمَ حَنِيفً ۭا ۚ و َمَا كَانَ مِنَٱ لْمُشْرِكِي نَ ١٦١Qul innanee hadanee rabbee ilasiratin mustaqeemin deenan qiyaman millata ibraheemahaneefan wama kana mina almushrikeen
Say, ‘Indeed my Lord has guided me to a straight path, the upright religion, the creed of Abraham, a Hanif, and he was not one of the polytheists.’Ali Quli Qarai
Say, "Indeed, my Lord has guided me to a straight path - a correct religion - the way of Abraham, inclining toward truth. And he was not among those who associated others with Allāh."Saheeh International

6:162
قُلْ إِ
نّ َ صَلَاتِى وَنُسُكِى وَمَحْيَاىَ وَمَمَاتِى لِلَّهِ رَبِّٱ لْعَٰ لَمِي نَ ١٦٢Qul inna salatee wanusukeewamahyaya wamamatee lillahi rabbialAAalameen
Say, ‘Indeed my prayer and my worship, my life and my death are for the sake of Allah, the Lord of all the worlds.Ali Quli Qarai
Say, "Indeed, my prayer, my rites of sacrifice, my living and my dying are for Allāh, Lord of the worlds.Saheeh International

6:163
لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ
ۥ ۖ وَبِذَٰ لِكَ أُمِرْتُ وَأَنَا۠ أَوَّلُٱ لْمُسْلِمِي نَ ١٦٣La shareeka lahu wabithalikaomirtu waana awwalu almuslimeen
He has no partner, and I have been commanded [to follow] this [creed], and I am the first of those who submit [to Allah].’Ali Quli Qarai
No partner has He. And this I have been commanded, and I am the first [among you] of the Muslims."Saheeh International

6:164
قُلْ أَغَيْرَ
ٱ للَّهِ أَبْ غِى رَبًّ ۭا و َهُوَ رَبُّ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ ۢۚ و َلَا تَكْسِبُ كُلُّ نَفْسٍ إِلَّا عَلَيْهَا ۚ وَلَا تَزِرُ وَازِرَةٌ ۭو ِزْرَ أُخْرَىٰ ۚ ثُمّ َ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكُم م َّرْجِعُكُمْ فَيُنَبِّئُكُم ب ِمَا كُنت ُمْ فِيهِ تَخْتَلِفُو نَ ١٦٤Qul aghayra Allahi abghee rabbanwahuwa rabbu kulli shay-in wala taksibu kullu nafsin illaAAalayha wala taziru waziratun wizra okhrathumma ila rabbikum marjiAAukum fayunabbi-okum bimakuntum feehi takhtalifoon
Say, ‘Shall I seek a Lord other than Allah, while He is the Lord of all things?’ No soul does evil except against itself, and no bearer shall bear another’s burden; then to your Lord will be your return, whereat He will inform you concerning that about which you used to differ.Ali Quli Qarai
Say, "Is it other than Allāh I should desire as a lord while He is the Lord of all things? And every soul earns not [blame] except against itself, and no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another. Then to your Lord is your return, and He will inform you concerning that over which you used to differ."Saheeh International

6:165
وَهُوَ
ٱ لَّذِى جَعَلَكُمْ خَلَٰٓ ئِفَٱ لْأَرْضِ وَرَفَعَ بَعْضَكُمْ فَوْقَ بَعْضٍ ۢد َرَجَٰ تٍ ۢل ِّيَبْ لُوَكُمْ فِى مَآ ءَاتَىٰ كُمْ ۗ إِنّ َ رَبَّكَ سَرِيعُٱ لْعِقَابِ وَإِنّ َهُۥ لَغَفُورٌ ۭر َّحِي مٌۢ ١٦٥Wahuwa allathee jaAAalakum khala-ifaal-ardi warafaAAa baAAdakum fawqa baAAdindarajatin liyabluwakum fee ma atakuminna rabbaka sareeAAu alAAiqabi wa-innahu laghafoorun raheem
It is He who has made you successors on the earth, and raised some of you in rank above others so that He may test you in respect to what He has given you. Indeed your Lord is swift in retribution, and indeed, He is all-forgiving, all-merciful.Ali Quli Qarai
And it is He who has made you successors upon the earth and has raised some of you above others in degrees [of rank] that He may try you through what He has given you. Indeed, your Lord is swift in penalty; but indeed, He is Forgiving and Merciful.Saheeh International
