بِسْمِ
-
99:1
إِذَا زُلْزِلَتِ
ٱ لْأَرْضُ زِلْزَالَهَا ١Itha zulzilati al-ardu zilzalaha
When the earth is rocked with a terrible quakeAli Quli Qarai
When the earth is shaken with its [final] earthquakeSaheeh International
-
99:2
وَأَخْرَجَتِ
ٱ لْأَرْضُ أَثْقَالَهَا ٢Waakhrajati al-ardu athqalaha
and discharges its burdens,Ali Quli Qarai
And the earth discharges its burdensSaheeh International
-
99:3
وَقَالَ
ٱ لْإِنس َٰ نُ مَا لَهَا ٣Waqala al-insanu ma laha
and man says, ‘What is the matter with her?’Ali Quli Qarai
And man says, "What is [wrong] with it?" -Saheeh International

99:4
يَوْمَئِ
ذٍ ۢت ُحَدِّثُ أَخْبَارَهَا ٤Yawma-ithin tuhaddithu akhbaraha
On that day she will relate her chroniclesAli Quli Qarai
That Day, it will report its newsSaheeh International

99:5
بِأَ
نّ َ رَبَّكَ أَوْحَىٰ لَهَا ٥Bi-anna rabbaka awha laha
for her Lord will have inspired her.Ali Quli Qarai
Because your Lord has inspired [i.e., commanded] it.Saheeh International

99:6
يَوْمَئِ
ذٍ ۢي َصْدُرُٱ ل نّ َاسُ أَشْتَاتً ۭا ل ِّيُرَوْا۟ أَعْمَٰ لَهُمْ ٦Yawma-ithin yasduru annasuashtatan liyuraw aAAmalahum
On that day, mankind will issue forth in various groups to be shown their deeds.Ali Quli Qarai
That Day, the people will depart separated [into categories] to be shown [the result of] their deeds.Saheeh International

فَم
َن ي َعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ خَيْرً ۭا ي َرَهُۥ ٧Faman yaAAmal mithqala tharratinkhayran yarah
So whoever does an atom’s weight of good will see it,Ali Quli Qarai
So whoever does an atom's weight of good will see it,Saheeh International

99:8
وَم
َن ي َعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ ۢش َرًّ ۭا ي َرَهُۥ ٨Waman yaAAmal mithqala tharratinsharran yarah
and whoever does an atom’s weight of evil will see it.Ali Quli Qarai
And whoever does an atom's weight of evil will see it.Saheeh International
