الفرقان
Al-Furqan · The Criterion
77 verses · Revealed in Makkah
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
-
25:1
تَبَارَكَ ٱلَّذِى نَزَّلَ ٱلْفُرْقَانَ عَلَىٰ عَبْدِهِۦ لِيَكُونَ لِلْعَٰلَمِينَ نَذِيرًا ١
Tabaraka allathee nazzalaalfurqana AAala AAabdihi liyakoona lilAAalameenanatheera
QaraiBlessed is He who sent down the Criterion to His servant that he may be a warner to all the nations.
Saheeh InternationalBlessed is He who sent down the Criterion upon His Servant that he may be to the worlds a warner -
-
25:2
ٱلَّذِى لَهُۥ مُلْكُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَمْ يَتَّخِذْ وَلَدًا وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُۥ شَرِيكٌ فِى ٱلْمُلْكِ وَخَلَقَ كُلَّ شَىْءٍ فَقَدَّرَهُۥ تَقْدِيرًا ٢
Allathee lahu mulku assamawatiwal-ardi walam yattakhith waladan walamyakun lahu shareekun fee almulki wakhalaqa kulla shay-infaqaddarahu taqdeera
QaraiHe, to whom belongs the sovereignty of the heavens and the earth, and who did not take any offspring, nor has He any partner in sovereignty, and He created everything and determined it in a precise measure.
Saheeh InternationalHe to whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and who has not taken a son and has not had a partner in dominion and has created each thing and determined it with [precise] determination.

25:3
وَٱتَّخَذُوا۟ مِن دُونِهِۦٓ ءَالِهَةً لَّا يَخْلُقُونَ شَئًْا وَهُمْ يُخْلَقُونَ وَلَا يَمْلِكُونَ لِأَنفُسِهِمْ ضَرًّا وَلَا نَفْعًا وَلَا يَمْلِكُونَ مَوْتًا وَلَا حَيَوٰةً وَلَا نُشُورًا ٣
Wattakhathoo min doonihi alihatanla yakhluqoona shay-an wahum yukhlaqoona walayamlikoona li-anfusihim darran wala nafAAan walayamlikoona mawtan wala hayatan walanushoora
QaraiYet they have taken gods besides Him who create nothing and have themselves been created, and who have no control over their own harm or benefit and have no control over [their own] death, life, or resurrection.
Saheeh InternationalBut they have taken besides Him gods which create nothing, while they are created, and possess not for themselves any harm or benefit and possess not [power to cause] death or life or resurrection.

25:4
وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓا۟ إِنْ هَٰذَآ إِلَّآ إِفْكٌ ٱفْتَرَىٰهُ وَأَعَانَهُۥ عَلَيْهِ قَوْمٌ ءَاخَرُونَ ۖ فَقَدْ جَآءُو ظُلْمًا وَزُورًا ٤
Waqala allatheena kafaroo in hathailla ifkun iftarahu waaAAanahu AAalayhiqawmun akharoona faqad jaoo thulmanwazoora
QaraiThe faithless say, ‘This is nothing but a lie that he has fabricated, and other people have abetted him in it.’ Thus they have certainly come out with wrongdoing and falsehood.
Saheeh InternationalAnd those who disbelieve say, "This [Qur’ān] is not except a falsehood he invented, and another people assisted him in it." But they have committed an injustice and a lie.

25:5
وَقَالُوٓا۟ أَسَٰطِيرُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ ٱكْتَتَبَهَا فَهِىَ تُمْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِ بُكْرَةً وَأَصِيلًا ٥
Waqaloo asateeru al-awwaleenaiktatabaha fahiya tumla AAalayhi bukratan waaseela
QaraiThey say, ‘He has taken down myths of the ancients, and they are dictated to him morning and evening.’
Saheeh InternationalAnd they say, "Legends of the former peoples which he has written down, and they are dictated to him morning and afternoon."

25:6
قُلْ أَنزَلَهُ ٱلَّذِى يَعْلَمُ ٱلسِّرَّ فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ غَفُورًا رَّحِيمًا ٦
Qul anzalahu allathee yaAAlamu assirrafee assamawati wal-ardiinnahu kana ghafooran raheema
QaraiSay, ‘It has been sent down by Him who knows the hidden in the heavens and the earth. Indeed He is all-forgiving, all-merciful.’
Saheeh InternationalSay, [O Muḥammad], "It has been revealed by He who knows [every] secret within the heavens and the earth. Indeed, He is ever Forgiving and Merciful."

25:7
وَقَالُوا۟ مَالِ هَٰذَا ٱلرَّسُولِ يَأْكُلُ ٱلطَّعَامَ وَيَمْشِى فِى ٱلْأَسْوَاقِ ۙ لَوْلَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْهِ مَلَكٌ فَيَكُونَ مَعَهُۥ نَذِيرًا ٧
Waqaloo mali hatha arrasooliya/kulu attaAAama wayamshee fee al-aswaqilawla onzila ilayhi malakun fayakoona maAAahu natheera
QaraiAnd they say, ‘What sort of apostle is this who eats food and walks in the marketplaces? Why has not an angel been sent down to him so as to be a warner along with him?’
Saheeh InternationalAnd they say, "What is this messenger that eats food and walks in the markets? Why was there not sent down to him an angel so he would be with him a warner?

25:8
أَوْ يُلْقَىٰٓ إِلَيْهِ كَنزٌ أَوْ تَكُونُ لَهُۥ جَنَّةٌ يَأْكُلُ مِنْهَا ۚ وَقَالَ ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ إِن تَتَّبِعُونَ إِلَّا رَجُلًا مَّسْحُورًا ٨
Aw yulqa ilayhi kanzun aw takoonu lahujannatun ya/kulu minha waqala aththalimoonain tattabiAAoona illa rajulan mashoora
QaraiOr, ‘[Why is not] a treasure thrown to him, or [why does] he [not] have a garden from which he may eat?’ And the wrongdoers say, ‘You are just following a bewitched man.’
Saheeh InternationalOr [why is not] a treasure presented to him [from heaven], or does he [not] have a garden from which he eats?" And the wrongdoers say, "You follow not but a man affected by magic."

25:9
ٱنظُرْ كَيْفَ ضَرَبُوا۟ لَكَ ٱلْأَمْثَٰلَ فَضَلُّوا۟ فَلَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ سَبِيلًا ٩
Onthur kayfa daraboolaka al-amthala fadalloo fala yastateeAAoonasabeela
QaraiLook, how they coin epithets for you; so they go astray, and cannot find the way.
Saheeh InternationalLook how they strike for you comparisons; but they have strayed, so they cannot [find] a way.
-
25:10
تَبَارَكَ ٱلَّذِىٓ إِن شَآءَ جَعَلَ لَكَ خَيْرًا مِّن ذَٰلِكَ جَنَّٰتٍ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ وَيَجْعَل لَّكَ قُصُورًۢا ١٠
Tabaraka allathee in shaajaAAala laka khayran min thalika jannatin tajreemin tahtiha al-anharu wayajAAal laka qusoora
QaraiBlessed is He who will grant you better than that if He wishes—gardens with streams running in them, and He will make for you palaces.
Saheeh InternationalBlessed is He who, if He willed, could have made for you [something] better than that - gardens beneath which rivers flow - and could make for you palaces.

25:11
بَلْ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِٱلسَّاعَةِ ۖ وَأَعْتَدْنَا لِمَن كَذَّبَ بِٱلسَّاعَةِ سَعِيرًا ١١
Bal kaththaboo bissaAAatiwaaAAtadna liman kaththaba bissaAAatisaAAeera
QaraiIndeed, they deny the Hour, and We have prepared a Blaze for those who deny the Hour.
Saheeh InternationalBut they have denied the Hour, and We have prepared for those who deny the Hour a Blaze.
-
25:12
إِذَا رَأَتْهُم مِّن مَّكَانٍۭ بَعِيدٍ سَمِعُوا۟ لَهَا تَغَيُّظًا وَزَفِيرًا ١٢
Itha raat-hum min makaninbaAAeedin samiAAoo laha taghayyuthanwazafeera
QaraiWhen it sights them from a distant place, they will hear it raging and roaring.
Saheeh InternationalWhen it [i.e., the Hellfire] sees them from a distant place, they will hear its fury and roaring.
-
25:13
وَإِذَآ أُلْقُوا۟ مِنْهَا مَكَانًا ضَيِّقًا مُّقَرَّنِينَ دَعَوْا۟ هُنَالِكَ ثُبُورًا ١٣
Wa-itha olqoo minha makanandayyiqan muqarraneena daAAaw hunalika thuboora
QaraiAnd when they are cast into a narrow place in it, bound together [in chains], they will pray for [their own] annihilation.
Saheeh InternationalAnd when they are thrown into a narrow place therein bound in chains, they will cry out thereupon for destruction.
-
25:14
لَّا تَدْعُوا۟ ٱلْيَوْمَ ثُبُورًا وَٰحِدًا وَٱدْعُوا۟ ثُبُورًا كَثِيرًا ١٤
La tadAAoo alyawma thubooran wahidanwadAAoo thubooran katheera
Qarai[They will be told:] ‘Do not pray for a single annihilation today, but pray for many annihilations!’
Saheeh International[They will be told], "Do not cry this Day for one destruction but cry for much destruction."

25:15
قُلْ أَذَٰلِكَ خَيْرٌ أَمْ جَنَّةُ ٱلْخُلْدِ ٱلَّتِى وُعِدَ ٱلْمُتَّقُونَ ۚ كَانَتْ لَهُمْ جَزَآءً وَمَصِيرًا ١٥
Qul athalika khayrun am jannatualkhuldi allatee wuAAida almuttaqoona kanat lahum jazaanwamaseera
QaraiSay, ‘Is that better, or the everlasting paradise promised to the Godwary, which will be their reward and destination?’
Saheeh InternationalSay, "Is that better or the Garden of Eternity which is promised to the righteous? It will be for them a reward and destination.
-
25:16
لَّهُمْ فِيهَا مَا يَشَآءُونَ خَٰلِدِينَ ۚ كَانَ عَلَىٰ رَبِّكَ وَعْدًا مَّسُْٔولًا ١٦
Lahum feeha ma yashaoonakhalideena kana AAala rabbika waAAdanmas-oola
QaraiThere they will have whatever they wish, abiding [forever]—a promise [much] besought, [binding] on your Lord.
Saheeh InternationalFor them therein is whatever they wish, [while] abiding eternally. It is ever upon your Lord a promise [worthy to be] requested.
-
25:17
وَيَوْمَ يَحْشُرُهُمْ وَمَا يَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ فَيَقُولُ ءَأَنتُمْ أَضْلَلْتُمْ عِبَادِى هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ أَمْ هُمْ ضَلُّوا۟ ٱلسَّبِيلَ ١٧
Wayawma yahshuruhum wamayaAAbudoona min dooni Allahi fayaqoolu aantum adlaltumAAibadee haola-i am hum dalloo assabeel
QaraiOn the day that He will muster them and those whom they worship besides Allah, He will say, ‘Was it you who led astray these servants of Mine, or did they themselves stray from the way?’
Saheeh InternationalAnd [mention] the Day He will gather them and that which they worship besides Allāh and will say, "Did you mislead these, My servants, or did they [themselves] stray from the way?"
-
25:18
قَالُوا۟ سُبْحَٰنَكَ مَا كَانَ يَنۢبَغِى لَنَآ أَن نَّتَّخِذَ مِن دُونِكَ مِنْ أَوْلِيَآءَ وَلَٰكِن مَّتَّعْتَهُمْ وَءَابَآءَهُمْ حَتَّىٰ نَسُوا۟ ٱلذِّكْرَ وَكَانُوا۟ قَوْمًۢا بُورًا ١٨
Qaloo subhanaka ma kanayanbaghee lana an nattakhitha min doonika min awliyaawalakin mattaAAtahum waabaahum hattanasoo aththikra wakanoo qawman boora
QaraiThey will say, ‘Immaculate are You! It does not behoove us to take any wali in Your stead! But You provided for them and their fathers until they forgot the Reminder, and they were a ruined lot.’
Saheeh InternationalThey will say, "Exalted are You! It was not for us to take besides You any allies [i.e., protectors]. But You provided comforts for them and their fathers until they forgot the message and became a people ruined."

25:19
فَقَدْ كَذَّبُوكُم بِمَا تَقُولُونَ فَمَا تَسْتَطِيعُونَ صَرْفًا وَلَا نَصْرًا ۚ وَمَن يَظْلِم مِّنكُمْ نُذِقْهُ عَذَابًا كَبِيرًا ١٩
Faqad kaththabookum bimataqooloona fama tastateeAAoona sarfan walanasran waman yathlim minkum nuthiqhuAAathaban kabeera
QaraiSo they will certainly impugn you in what you say, and you will neither be able to circumvent [punishment] nor find help, and whoever of you does wrong, We shall make him taste a terrible punishment.
Saheeh InternationalSo they will deny you, [disbelievers], in what you say, and you cannot avert [punishment] or [find] help. And whoever commits injustice among you - We will make him taste a great punishment.

25:20
وَمَآ أَرْسَلْنَا قَبْلَكَ مِنَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ إِلَّآ إِنَّهُمْ لَيَأْكُلُونَ ٱلطَّعَامَ وَيَمْشُونَ فِى ٱلْأَسْوَاقِ ۗ وَجَعَلْنَا بَعْضَكُمْ لِبَعْضٍ فِتْنَةً أَتَصْبِرُونَ ۗ وَكَانَ رَبُّكَ بَصِيرًا ٢٠
Wama arsalna qablaka minaalmursaleena illa innahum laya/kuloona attaAAamawayamshoona fee al-aswaqi wajaAAalna baAAdakumlibaAAdin fitnatan atasbiroona wakanarabbuka baseera
QaraiWe did not send any apostles before you but that they indeed ate food and walked in marketplaces. We have made you a [means of] test for one another, [to see] if you will be patient and steadfast, and your Lord is all-seeing.
Saheeh InternationalAnd We did not send before you, [O Muḥammad], any of the messengers except that they ate food and walked in the markets. And We have made some of you [people] as trial for others - will you have patience? And ever is your Lord, Seeing.
-
25:21
۞ وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَرْجُونَ لِقَآءَنَا لَوْلَآ أُنزِلَ عَلَيْنَا ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ أَوْ نَرَىٰ رَبَّنَا ۗ لَقَدِ ٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟ فِىٓ أَنفُسِهِمْ وَعَتَوْ عُتُوًّا كَبِيرًا ٢١
Waqala allatheena layarjoona liqaana lawla onzila AAalaynaalmala-ikatu aw nara rabbana laqadiistakbaroo fee anfusihim waAAataw AAutuwwan kabeera
QaraiThose who do not expect to encounter Us say, ‘Why have angels not been sent down to us, or why do we not see our Lord?’ Certainly, they are full of arrogance within their souls and have become terribly defiant.
Saheeh InternationalAnd those who do not expect the meeting with Us say, "Why were not angels sent down to us, or [why] do we [not] see our Lord?" They have certainly become arrogant within themselves and [become] insolent with great insolence.

25:22
يَوْمَ يَرَوْنَ ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةَ لَا بُشْرَىٰ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُجْرِمِينَ وَيَقُولُونَ حِجْرًا مَّحْجُورًا ٢٢
Yawma yarawna almala-ikata labushra yawma-ithin lilmujrimeena wayaqooloona hijranmahjoora
QaraiThe day they will see the angels, there will be no good news for the guilty on that day, and they will say, ‘Keep off [from paradise]!’
Saheeh InternationalThe day they see the angels - no good tidings will there be that day for the criminals, and [the angels] will say, "Prevented and inaccessible."
-
25:23
وَقَدِمْنَآ إِلَىٰ مَا عَمِلُوا۟ مِنْ عَمَلٍ فَجَعَلْنَٰهُ هَبَآءً مَّنثُورًا ٢٣
Waqadimna ila maAAamiloo min AAamalin fajaAAalnahu habaan manthoora
QaraiThen We shall attend to the works they have done and then turn them into scattered dust.
Saheeh InternationalAnd We will approach [i.e., regard] what they have done of deeds and make them as dust dispersed.
-
25:24
أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْجَنَّةِ يَوْمَئِذٍ خَيْرٌ مُّسْتَقَرًّا وَأَحْسَنُ مَقِيلًا ٢٤
As-habu aljannati yawma-ithinkhayrun mustaqarran waahsanu maqeela
QaraiOn that day the inhabitants of paradise will be in the best abode and an excellent resting place.
Saheeh InternationalThe companions of Paradise, that Day, are [in] a better settlement and better resting place.
-
25:25
وَيَوْمَ تَشَقَّقُ ٱلسَّمَآءُ بِٱلْغَمَٰمِ وَنُزِّلَ ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ تَنزِيلًا ٢٥
Wayawma tashaqqaqu assamao bilghamamiwanuzzila almala-ikatu tanzeela
QaraiThe day when the sky with its clouds will be split open, and the angels will be sent down [in a majestic] descent,
Saheeh InternationalAnd [mention] the Day when the heaven will split open with [emerging] clouds, and the angels will be sent down in successive descent.
-
25:26
ٱلْمُلْكُ يَوْمَئِذٍ ٱلْحَقُّ لِلرَّحْمَٰنِ ۚ وَكَانَ يَوْمًا عَلَى ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ عَسِيرًا ٢٦
Almulku yawma-ithin alhaqqu lirrahmaniwakana yawman AAala alkafireena AAaseera
Qaraion that day true sovereignty will belong to the All-beneficent, and it will be a hard day for the faithless.
Saheeh InternationalTrue sovereignty, that Day, is for the Most Merciful. And it will be upon the disbelievers a difficult Day.
-
25:27
وَيَوْمَ يَعَضُّ ٱلظَّالِمُ عَلَىٰ يَدَيْهِ يَقُولُ يَٰلَيْتَنِى ٱتَّخَذْتُ مَعَ ٱلرَّسُولِ سَبِيلًا ٢٧
Wayawma yaAAaddu aththalimuAAala yadayhi yaqoolu ya laytanee ittakhathtumaAAa arrasooli sabeela
QaraiIt will be a day when the wrongdoer will bite his hands, saying, ‘I wish I had followed the Apostle’s way!
Saheeh InternationalAnd the Day the wrongdoer will bite on his hands [in regret] he will say, "Oh, I wish I had taken with the Messenger a way.
-
25:28
يَٰوَيْلَتَىٰ لَيْتَنِى لَمْ أَتَّخِذْ فُلَانًا خَلِيلًا ٢٨
Ya waylata laytanee lamattakhith fulanan khaleela
QaraiWoe to me! I wish I had not taken so and so as a friend!
Saheeh InternationalOh, woe to me! I wish I had not taken that one as a friend.
-
25:29
لَّقَدْ أَضَلَّنِى عَنِ ٱلذِّكْرِ بَعْدَ إِذْ جَآءَنِى ۗ وَكَانَ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ لِلْإِنسَٰنِ خَذُولًا ٢٩
Laqad adallanee AAani aththikribaAAda ith jaanee wakana ashshaytanulil-insani khathoola
QaraiCertainly he led me astray from the Reminder after it had come to me, and Satan is a deserter of man.’
Saheeh InternationalHe led me away from the remembrance after it had come to me. And ever is Satan, to man, a deserter."
-
25:30
وَقَالَ ٱلرَّسُولُ يَٰرَبِّ إِنَّ قَوْمِى ٱتَّخَذُوا۟ هَٰذَا ٱلْقُرْءَانَ مَهْجُورًا ٣٠
Waqala arrasoolu yarabbi inna qawmee ittakhathoo hatha alqur-anamahjoora
QaraiAnd the Apostle will say, ‘O my Lord! Indeed my people consigned this Quran to oblivion.’
Saheeh InternationalAnd the Messenger has said, "O my Lord, indeed my people have taken this Qur’ān as [a thing] abandoned."
-
25:31
وَكَذَٰلِكَ جَعَلْنَا لِكُلِّ نَبِىٍّ عَدُوًّا مِّنَ ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ ۗ وَكَفَىٰ بِرَبِّكَ هَادِيًا وَنَصِيرًا ٣١
Wakathalika jaAAalna likullinabiyyin AAaduwwan mina almujrimeena wakafa birabbika hadiyanwanaseera
QaraiThat is how for every prophet We assigned an enemy from among the guilty, and your Lord suffices as helper and guide.
Saheeh InternationalAnd thus have We made for every prophet an enemy from among the criminals. But sufficient is your Lord as a guide and a helper.
-
25:32
وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ لَوْلَا نُزِّلَ عَلَيْهِ ٱلْقُرْءَانُ جُمْلَةً وَٰحِدَةً ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ لِنُثَبِّتَ بِهِۦ فُؤَادَكَ ۖ وَرَتَّلْنَٰهُ تَرْتِيلًا ٣٢
Waqala allatheena kafaroo lawlanuzzila AAalayhi alqur-anu jumlatan wahidatan kathalikalinuthabbita bihi fu-adaka warattalnahu tarteela
QaraiThe faithless say, ‘Why has not the Quran been sent down to him all at once?’ So it was, that We may strengthen your heart with it, and We have recited it [to you] in a measured tone.
Saheeh InternationalAnd those who disbelieve say, "Why was the Qur’ān not revealed to him all at once?" Thus [it is] that We may strengthen thereby your heart. And We have spaced it distinctly.
-
25:33
وَلَا يَأْتُونَكَ بِمَثَلٍ إِلَّا جِئْنَٰكَ بِٱلْحَقِّ وَأَحْسَنَ تَفْسِيرًا ٣٣
Wala ya/toonaka bimathalin illaji/naka bilhaqqi waahsana tafseera
QaraiThey do not bring you any representation but that We bring you the truth [in reply to them] and the best exposition.
Saheeh InternationalAnd they do not come to you with an example [i.e., argument] except that We bring you the truth and the best explanation.
-
25:34
ٱلَّذِينَ يُحْشَرُونَ عَلَىٰ وُجُوهِهِمْ إِلَىٰ جَهَنَّمَ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ شَرٌّ مَّكَانًا وَأَضَلُّ سَبِيلًا ٣٤
Allatheena yuhsharoona AAalawujoohihim ila jahannama ola-ika sharrun makananwaadallu sabeela
QaraiThose who will be mustered [fallen] on their faces toward hell, they are the worse situated and further astray from the [right] way.
Saheeh InternationalThe ones who are gathered on their faces to Hell - those are the worst in position and farthest astray in [their] way.
-
25:35
وَلَقَدْ ءَاتَيْنَا مُوسَى ٱلْكِتَٰبَ وَجَعَلْنَا مَعَهُۥٓ أَخَاهُ هَٰرُونَ وَزِيرًا ٣٥
Walaqad atayna moosaalkitaba wajaAAalna maAAahu akhahu haroonawazeera
QaraiCertainly We gave Moses the Book and We made Aaron, his brother, accompany him as a minister.
Saheeh InternationalAnd We had certainly given Moses the Scripture and appointed with him his brother Aaron as an assistant.

25:36
فَقُلْنَا ٱذْهَبَآ إِلَى ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا۟ بَِٔايَٰتِنَا فَدَمَّرْنَٰهُمْ تَدْمِيرًا ٣٦
Faqulna ithhaba ilaalqawmi allatheena kaththaboo bi-ayatinafadammarnahum tadmeera
QaraiThen We said, ‘Let the two of you go to the people who have denied Our signs.’ Then We destroyed them utterly.
Saheeh InternationalAnd We said, "Go both of you to the people who have denied Our signs." Then We destroyed them with [complete] destruction.
-
25:37
وَقَوْمَ نُوحٍ لَّمَّا كَذَّبُوا۟ ٱلرُّسُلَ أَغْرَقْنَٰهُمْ وَجَعَلْنَٰهُمْ لِلنَّاسِ ءَايَةً ۖ وَأَعْتَدْنَا لِلظَّٰلِمِينَ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا ٣٧
Waqawma noohin lamma kaththabooarrusula aghraqnahum wajaAAalnahum linnasiayatan waaAAtadna liththalimeenaAAathaban aleema
QaraiAnd Noah’s people, We drowned them when they impugned the apostles, and We made them a sign for mankind, and We have prepared for the wrongdoers a painful punishment.
Saheeh InternationalAnd the people of Noah - when they denied the messengers, We drowned them, and We made them for mankind a sign. And We have prepared for the wrongdoers a painful punishment.

25:38
وَعَادًا وَثَمُودَا۟ وَأَصْحَٰبَ ٱلرَّسِّ وَقُرُونًۢا بَيْنَ ذَٰلِكَ كَثِيرًا ٣٨
WaAAadan wathamooda waas-habaarrassi waquroonan bayna thalika katheera
QaraiAnd ‘Ad and Thamud, and the people of Rass, and many generations between them.
Saheeh InternationalAnd [We destroyed] ʿAad and Thamūd and the companions of the well and many generations between them.
-
25:39
وَكُلًّا ضَرَبْنَا لَهُ ٱلْأَمْثَٰلَ ۖ وَكُلًّا تَبَّرْنَا تَتْبِيرًا ٣٩
Wakullan darabna lahu al-amthalawakullan tabbarna tatbeera
QaraiFor each of them We drew examples, and each We destroyed utterly.
Saheeh InternationalAnd for each We presented examples [as warnings], and each We destroyed with [total] destruction.
-
25:40
وَلَقَدْ أَتَوْا۟ عَلَى ٱلْقَرْيَةِ ٱلَّتِىٓ أُمْطِرَتْ مَطَرَ ٱلسَّوْءِ ۚ أَفَلَمْ يَكُونُوا۟ يَرَوْنَهَا ۚ بَلْ كَانُوا۟ لَا يَرْجُونَ نُشُورًا ٤٠
Walaqad ataw AAala alqaryati allateeomtirat matara assaw-i afalam yakoonooyarawnaha bal kanoo la yarjoona nushoora
QaraiCertainly they must have passed the town on which an evil shower was rained. Have they not seen it? Rather, they did not expect resurrection [to happen].
Saheeh InternationalAnd they have already come upon the town which was showered with a rain of evil [i.e., stones]. So have they not seen it? But they are not expecting resurrection.
-
25:41
وَإِذَا رَأَوْكَ إِن يَتَّخِذُونَكَ إِلَّا هُزُوًا أَهَٰذَا ٱلَّذِى بَعَثَ ٱللَّهُ رَسُولًا ٤١
Wa-itha raawka in yattakhithoonakailla huzuwan ahatha allathee baAAatha Allahurasoola
QaraiWhen they see you they just take you in derision: ‘Is this the one whom Allah has sent as an apostle!?
Saheeh InternationalAnd when they see you, [O Muḥammad], they take you not except in ridicule, [saying], "Is this the one whom Allāh has sent as a messenger?
-
25:42
إِن كَادَ لَيُضِلُّنَا عَنْ ءَالِهَتِنَا لَوْلَآ أَن صَبَرْنَا عَلَيْهَا ۚ وَسَوْفَ يَعْلَمُونَ حِينَ يَرَوْنَ ٱلْعَذَابَ مَنْ أَضَلُّ سَبِيلًا ٤٢
In kada layudillunaAAan alihatina lawla an sabarnaAAalayha wasawfa yaAAlamoona heena yarawna alAAathabaman adallu sabeela
QaraiIndeed he was about to lead us astray from our gods, had we not stood firm by them.’ Soon they will know, when they sight the punishment, who is further astray from the [right] way.
Saheeh InternationalHe almost would have misled us from our gods had we not been steadfast in [worship of] them." But they are going to know, when they see the punishment, who is farthest astray in [his] way.

25:43
أَرَءَيْتَ مَنِ ٱتَّخَذَ إِلَٰهَهُۥ هَوَىٰهُ أَفَأَنتَ تَكُونُ عَلَيْهِ وَكِيلًا ٤٣
Araayta mani ittakhatha ilahahuhawahu afaanta takoonu AAalayhi wakeela
QaraiHave you seen him who has taken his desire to be his god? Is it your duty to watch over him?
Saheeh InternationalHave you seen the one who takes as his god his own desire? Then would you be responsible for him?
-
25:44
أَمْ تَحْسَبُ أَنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ يَسْمَعُونَ أَوْ يَعْقِلُونَ ۚ إِنْ هُمْ إِلَّا كَٱلْأَنْعَٰمِ ۖ بَلْ هُمْ أَضَلُّ سَبِيلًا ٤٤
Am tahsabu anna aktharahumyasmaAAoona aw yaAAqiloona in hum illa kal-anAAamibal hum adallu sabeela
QaraiDo you suppose that most of them listen or exercise their reason? They are just like cattle; indeed, they are further astray from the way.
Saheeh InternationalOr do you think that most of them hear or reason? They are not except like livestock. Rather, they are [even] more astray in [their] way.
-
25:45
أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ كَيْفَ مَدَّ ٱلظِّلَّ وَلَوْ شَآءَ لَجَعَلَهُۥ سَاكِنًا ثُمَّ جَعَلْنَا ٱلشَّمْسَ عَلَيْهِ دَلِيلًا ٤٥
Alam tara ila rabbika kayfa madda aththillawalaw shaa lajaAAalahu sakinan thumma jaAAalnaashshamsa AAalayhi daleela
QaraiHave you not regarded how your Lord spreads the twilight? (Had He wished He would have made it stand still.) Then We made the sun a beacon for it.
Saheeh InternationalHave you not considered your Lord - how He extends the shadow, and if He willed, He could have made it stationary? Then We made the sun for it an indication.
-
25:46
ثُمَّ قَبَضْنَٰهُ إِلَيْنَا قَبْضًا يَسِيرًا ٤٦
Thumma qabadnahu ilaynaqabdan yaseera
QaraiThen We retract it toward Ourselves, with a gentle retracting.
Saheeh InternationalThen We [retract and] hold it with Us for a brief grasp.
-
25:47
وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَ لَكُمُ ٱلَّيْلَ لِبَاسًا وَٱلنَّوْمَ سُبَاتًا وَجَعَلَ ٱلنَّهَارَ نُشُورًا ٤٧
Wahuwa allathee jaAAala lakumuallayla libasan wannawma subatan wajaAAalaannahara nushoora
QaraiIt is He who made for you the night as a covering and sleep for rest and He made the day a recall to life.
Saheeh InternationalAnd it is He who has made the night for you as clothing and sleep [a means for] rest and has made the day a resurrection.
-
25:48
وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَرْسَلَ ٱلرِّيَٰحَ بُشْرًۢا بَيْنَ يَدَىْ رَحْمَتِهِۦ ۚ وَأَنزَلْنَا مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءً طَهُورًا ٤٨
Wahuwa allathee arsala arriyahabushran bayna yaday rahmatihi waanzalna mina assama-imaan tahoora
QaraiAnd it is He who sends the winds as harbingers of His mercy, and We send down from the sky purifying water,
Saheeh InternationalAnd it is He who sends the winds as good tidings before His mercy [i.e., rainfall], and We send down from the sky pure water
-
25:49
لِّنُحِْۧىَ بِهِۦ بَلْدَةً مَّيْتًا وَنُسْقِيَهُۥ مِمَّا خَلَقْنَآ أَنْعَٰمًا وَأَنَاسِىَّ كَثِيرًا ٤٩
Linuhyiya bihi baldatan maytanwanusqiyahu mimma khalaqna anAAaman waanasiyyakatheera
Qaraiwith which We revive a dead country and provide water to many of the cattle and humans We have created.
Saheeh InternationalThat We may bring to life thereby a dead land and give it as drink to those We created of numerous livestock and men.
-
25:50
وَلَقَدْ صَرَّفْنَٰهُ بَيْنَهُمْ لِيَذَّكَّرُوا۟ فَأَبَىٰٓ أَكْثَرُ ٱلنَّاسِ إِلَّا كُفُورًا ٥٠
Walaqad sarrafnahu baynahumliyaththakkaroo faaba aktharu annasiilla kufoora
QaraiCertainly We distribute it among them so that they may take admonition. But most people are only intent on ingratitude.
Saheeh InternationalAnd We have certainly distributed it among them that they might be reminded, but most of the people refuse except disbelief.
-
25:51
وَلَوْ شِئْنَا لَبَعَثْنَا فِى كُلِّ قَرْيَةٍ نَّذِيرًا ٥١
Walaw shi/na labaAAathna feekulli qaryatin natheera
QaraiHad We wished, We would have sent a warner to every town.
Saheeh InternationalAnd if We had willed, We could have sent into every city a warner.
-
25:52
فَلَا تُطِعِ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ وَجَٰهِدْهُم بِهِۦ جِهَادًا كَبِيرًا ٥٢
Fala tutiAAi alkafireenawajahidhum bihi jihadan kabeera
QaraiSo do not obey the faithless, but wage a great jihad against them with it.
Saheeh InternationalSo do not obey the disbelievers, and strive against them with it [i.e., the Qur’ān] a great striving.
-
25:53
۞ وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى مَرَجَ ٱلْبَحْرَيْنِ هَٰذَا عَذْبٌ فُرَاتٌ وَهَٰذَا مِلْحٌ أُجَاجٌ وَجَعَلَ بَيْنَهُمَا بَرْزَخًا وَحِجْرًا مَّحْجُورًا ٥٣
Wahuwa allathee maraja albahraynihatha AAathbun furatun wahatha milhunojajun wajaAAala baynahuma barzakhan wahijranmahjoora
QaraiIt is He who merged the two seas: this one sweet and agreeable, and that one briny and bitter, and between the two He set a barrier and a forbidding hindrance.
Saheeh InternationalAnd it is He who has released [simultaneously] the two seas [i.e., bodies of water], one fresh and sweet and one salty and bitter, and He placed between them a barrier and prohibiting partition.
-
25:54
وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ مِنَ ٱلْمَآءِ بَشَرًا فَجَعَلَهُۥ نَسَبًا وَصِهْرًا ۗ وَكَانَ رَبُّكَ قَدِيرًا ٥٤
Wahuwa allathee khalaqa mina alma-ibasharan fajaAAalahu nasaban wasihran wakanarabbuka qadeera
QaraiIt is He who created the human being from water, then invested him with ties of blood and marriage, and your Lord is all-powerful.
Saheeh InternationalAnd it is He who has created from water [i.e., semen] a human being and made him [a relative by] lineage and marriage. And ever is your Lord competent [concerning creation].
-
25:55
وَيَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا يَنفَعُهُمْ وَلَا يَضُرُّهُمْ ۗ وَكَانَ ٱلْكَافِرُ عَلَىٰ رَبِّهِۦ ظَهِيرًا ٥٥
WayaAAbudoona min dooni Allahi mala yanfaAAuhum wala yadurruhum wakanaalkafiru AAala rabbihi thaheera
QaraiThey worship besides Allah that which neither brings them any benefit nor causes them any harm, and the faithless one is ever an abettor against his Lord.
Saheeh InternationalBut they worship rather than Allāh that which does not benefit them or harm them, and the disbeliever is ever, against his Lord, an assistant [to Satan].
-
25:56
وَمَآ أَرْسَلْنَٰكَ إِلَّا مُبَشِّرًا وَنَذِيرًا ٥٦
Wama arsalnaka illamubashshiran wanatheera
QaraiWe did not send you except as a bearer of good news and as a warner.
Saheeh InternationalAnd We have not sent you, [O Muḥammad], except as a bringer of good tidings and a warner.
-
25:57
قُلْ مَآ أَسَْٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ إِلَّا مَن شَآءَ أَن يَتَّخِذَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِۦ سَبِيلًا ٥٧
Qul ma as-alukum AAalayhi min ajrinilla man shaa an yattakhitha ilarabbihi sabeela
QaraiSay, ‘I do not ask you any reward for it, except that anyone who wishes should take the way to his Lord.’
Saheeh InternationalSay, "I do not ask of you for it any payment - only that whoever wills might take to his Lord a way."
-
25:58
وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى ٱلْحَىِّ ٱلَّذِى لَا يَمُوتُ وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِهِۦ ۚ وَكَفَىٰ بِهِۦ بِذُنُوبِ عِبَادِهِۦ خَبِيرًا ٥٨
Watawakkal AAala alhayyi allatheela yamootu wasabbih bihamdihi wakafabihi bithunoobi AAibadihi khabeera
QaraiPut your trust in the Living One who does not die, and celebrate His praise. He suffices as one all-aware of the sins of His servants.
Saheeh InternationalAnd rely upon the Ever-Living who does not die, and exalt [Allāh] with His praise. And sufficient is He to be, with the sins of His servants, [fully] Aware -
-
25:59
ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا فِى سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍ ثُمَّ ٱسْتَوَىٰ عَلَى ٱلْعَرْشِ ۚ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ فَسَْٔلْ بِهِۦ خَبِيرًا ٥٩
Allathee khalaqa assamawatiwal-arda wama baynahuma fee sittatiayyamin thumma istawa AAala alAAarshi arrahmanufas-al bihi khabeera
QaraiHe, who created the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them in six days, and then settled on the Throne, the All-beneficent; so ask someone who is well aware about Him.
Saheeh InternationalHe who created the heavens and the earth and what is between them in six days and then established Himself above the Throne - the Most Merciful, so ask about Him one well informed [i.e., the Prophet (ﷺ)].
-
25:60
وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ ٱسْجُدُوا۟ لِلرَّحْمَٰنِ قَالُوا۟ وَمَا ٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ أَنَسْجُدُ لِمَا تَأْمُرُنَا وَزَادَهُمْ نُفُورًا ۩ ٦٠
Wa-itha qeela lahumu osjudoo lirrahmaniqaloo wama arrahmanu anasjudulima ta/muruna wazadahum nufoora
QaraiWhen they are told: ‘Prostrate yourselves before the All-beneficent,’ they say, ‘What is ‘‘the All-beneficent’’? Shall we prostrate ourselves before whatever you bid us?’ And it increases their aversion.
Saheeh InternationalAnd when it is said to them, "Prostrate to the Most Merciful," they say, "And what is the Most Merciful? Should we prostrate to that which you order us?" And it increases them in aversion.
-
25:61
تَبَارَكَ ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَ فِى ٱلسَّمَآءِ بُرُوجًا وَجَعَلَ فِيهَا سِرَٰجًا وَقَمَرًا مُّنِيرًا ٦١
Tabaraka allathee jaAAala feeassama-i buroojan wajaAAala feeha sirajanwaqamaran muneera
QaraiBlessed is He who appointed houses in the sky and set in it a lamp and a shining moon.
Saheeh InternationalBlessed is He who has placed in the sky great stars and placed therein a [burning] lamp and luminous moon.
-
25:62
وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَ ٱلَّيْلَ وَٱلنَّهَارَ خِلْفَةً لِّمَنْ أَرَادَ أَن يَذَّكَّرَ أَوْ أَرَادَ شُكُورًا ٦٢
Wahuwa allathee jaAAala allayla wannaharakhilfatan liman arada an yaththakkara aw aradashukoora
QaraiIt is He who made the night and the day alternate for someone who desires to take admonition, or desires to give thanks.
Saheeh InternationalAnd it is He who has made the night and the day in succession for whoever desires to remember or desires gratitude.
-
25:63
وَعِبَادُ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلَّذِينَ يَمْشُونَ عَلَى ٱلْأَرْضِ هَوْنًا وَإِذَا خَاطَبَهُمُ ٱلْجَٰهِلُونَ قَالُوا۟ سَلَٰمًا ٦٣
WaAAibadu arrahmaniallatheena yamshoona AAala al-ardi hawnanwa-itha khatabahumu aljahiloona qaloosalama
QaraiThe servants of the All-beneficent are those who walk humbly on the earth, and when the ignorant address them, say, ‘Peace!’
Saheeh InternationalAnd the servants of the Most Merciful are those who walk upon the earth easily, and when the ignorant address them [harshly], they say [words of] peace,
-
25:64
وَٱلَّذِينَ يَبِيتُونَ لِرَبِّهِمْ سُجَّدًا وَقِيَٰمًا ٦٤
Wallatheena yabeetoonalirabbihim sujjadan waqiyama
QaraiThose who spend the night for their Lord, prostrating and standing [in worship].
Saheeh InternationalAnd those who spend [part of] the night to their Lord prostrating and standing [in prayer]
-
25:65
وَٱلَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا ٱصْرِفْ عَنَّا عَذَابَ جَهَنَّمَ ۖ إِنَّ عَذَابَهَا كَانَ غَرَامًا ٦٥
Wallatheena yaqooloona rabbanaisrif AAanna AAathaba jahannama inna AAathabahakana gharama
QaraiThose who say, ‘Our Lord! Turn away from us the punishment of hell. Indeed its punishment is enduring.
Saheeh InternationalAnd those who say, "Our Lord, avert from us the punishment of Hell. Indeed, its punishment is ever adhering;
-
25:66
إِنَّهَا سَآءَتْ مُسْتَقَرًّا وَمُقَامًا ٦٦
Innaha saat mustaqarran wamuqama
QaraiIndeed it is an evil station and abode.’
Saheeh InternationalIndeed, it is evil as a settlement and residence."
-
25:67
وَٱلَّذِينَ إِذَآ أَنفَقُوا۟ لَمْ يُسْرِفُوا۟ وَلَمْ يَقْتُرُوا۟ وَكَانَ بَيْنَ ذَٰلِكَ قَوَامًا ٦٧
Wallatheena ithaanfaqoo lam yusrifoo walam yaqturoo wakana bayna thalikaqawama
QaraiThose who are neither wasteful nor tightfisted when spending, but balanced between these [two extremes].
Saheeh InternationalAnd [they are] those who, when they spend, do so not excessively or sparingly but are ever, between that, [justly] moderate
-
25:68
وَٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَدْعُونَ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا ءَاخَرَ وَلَا يَقْتُلُونَ ٱلنَّفْسَ ٱلَّتِى حَرَّمَ ٱللَّهُ إِلَّا بِٱلْحَقِّ وَلَا يَزْنُونَ ۚ وَمَن يَفْعَلْ ذَٰلِكَ يَلْقَ أَثَامًا ٦٨
Wallatheena layadAAoona maAAa Allahi ilahan akharawala yaqtuloona annafsa allatee harrama Allahuilla bilhaqqi wala yaznoona wamanyafAAal thalika yalqa athama
QaraiThose who do not invoke another deity besides Allah, and do not kill a soul [whose life] Allah has made inviolable, except with due cause, and do not commit fornication. (Whoever does that shall encounter its retribution,
Saheeh InternationalAnd those who do not invoke with Allāh another deity or kill the soul which Allāh has forbidden [to be killed], except by right, and do not commit unlawful sexual intercourse. And whoever should do that will meet a penalty.
-
25:69
يُضَٰعَفْ لَهُ ٱلْعَذَابُ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ وَيَخْلُدْ فِيهِۦ مُهَانًا ٦٩
YudaAAaf lahu alAAathabu yawmaalqiyamati wayakhlud feehi muhana
Qaraithe punishment being doubled for him on the Day of Resurrection. In it he will abide in humiliation forever,
Saheeh InternationalMultiplied for him is the punishment on the Day of Resurrection, and he will abide therein humiliated -
-
25:70
إِلَّا مَن تَابَ وَءَامَنَ وَعَمِلَ عَمَلًا صَٰلِحًا فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ يُبَدِّلُ ٱللَّهُ سَئَِّاتِهِمْ حَسَنَٰتٍ ۗ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ غَفُورًا رَّحِيمًا ٧٠
Illa man taba waamanawaAAamila AAamalan salihan faola-ikayubaddilu Allahu sayyi-atihim hasanatinwakana Allahu ghafooran raheema
Qaraiexcept those who repent, attain faith, and act righteously. For such, Allah will replace their misdeeds with good deeds, and Allah is all-forgiving, all-merciful.
Saheeh InternationalExcept for those who repent, believe and do righteous work. For them Allāh will replace their evil deeds with good. And ever is Allāh Forgiving and Merciful.
-
25:71
وَمَن تَابَ وَعَمِلَ صَٰلِحًا فَإِنَّهُۥ يَتُوبُ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ مَتَابًا ٧١
Waman taba waAAamila salihanfa-innahu yatoobu ila Allahi mataba
QaraiAnd whoever repents and acts righteously indeed turns to Allah with due penitence).
Saheeh InternationalAnd he who repents and does righteousness does indeed turn to Allāh with [accepted] repentance.
-
25:72
وَٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَشْهَدُونَ ٱلزُّورَ وَإِذَا مَرُّوا۟ بِٱللَّغْوِ مَرُّوا۟ كِرَامًا ٧٢
Wallatheena layashhadoona azzoora wa-itha marroo billaghwimarroo kirama
QaraiThose who do not give false testimony, and when they come upon frivolity, pass by with dignity.
Saheeh InternationalAnd [they are] those who do not testify to falsehood, and when they pass near ill speech, they pass by with dignity.
-
25:73
وَٱلَّذِينَ إِذَا ذُكِّرُوا۟ بَِٔايَٰتِ رَبِّهِمْ لَمْ يَخِرُّوا۟ عَلَيْهَا صُمًّا وَعُمْيَانًا ٧٣
Wallatheena itha thukkiroobi-ayati rabbihim lam yakhirroo AAalayha summanwaAAumyana
QaraiThose who, when reminded of the signs of their Lord, do not turn a deaf ear and a blind eye to them.
Saheeh InternationalAnd those who, when reminded of the verses of their Lord, do not fall upon them deaf and blind.
-
25:74
وَٱلَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا هَبْ لَنَا مِنْ أَزْوَٰجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّٰتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعْيُنٍ وَٱجْعَلْنَا لِلْمُتَّقِينَ إِمَامًا ٧٤
Wallatheena yaqooloona rabbanahab lana min azwajina wathurriyyatinaqurrata aAAyunin wajAAalna lilmuttaqeena imama
QaraiAnd those who say, ‘Our Lord! Give us joy and comfort in our spouses and offspring, and make us imams of the Godwary.’
Saheeh InternationalAnd those who say, "Our Lord, grant us from among our wives and offspring comfort to our eyes and make us a leader [i.e., example] for the righteous."
-
25:75
أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ يُجْزَوْنَ ٱلْغُرْفَةَ بِمَا صَبَرُوا۟ وَيُلَقَّوْنَ فِيهَا تَحِيَّةً وَسَلَٰمًا ٧٥
Ola-ika yujzawna alghurfata bimasabaroo wayulaqqawna feeha tahiyyatan wasalama
QaraiThose shall be rewarded with sublime abodes for their patience and steadfastness, and they shall be met there with greetings and ‘Peace,’
Saheeh InternationalThose will be awarded the Chamber for what they patiently endured, and they will be received therein with greetings and [words of] peace,
-
25:76
خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا ۚ حَسُنَتْ مُسْتَقَرًّا وَمُقَامًا ٧٦
Khalideena feeha hasunatmustaqarran wamuqama
Qaraito abide in them [forever], an excellent station and abode.
Saheeh InternationalAbiding eternally therein. Good is the settlement and residence.

قُلْ مَا يَعْبَؤُا۟ بِكُمْ رَبِّى لَوْلَا دُعَآؤُكُمْ ۖ فَقَدْ كَذَّبْتُمْ فَسَوْفَ يَكُونُ لِزَامًۢا ٧٧
Qul ma yaAAbao bikum rabbee lawladuAAaokum faqad kaththabtum fasawfa yakoonu lizama
QaraiSay, ‘Were it not for the sake of summoning you [to faith], what store my Lord would have set by you? But you impugned [me and my summons], so it will soon follow as a result.’
Saheeh InternationalSay, "What would my Lord care for you if not for your supplication?" For you [disbelievers] have denied, so it [i.e., your denial] is going to be adherent.
