43:1
ح
مٓ ١Ha-meem
Ha, Meem.Ali Quli Qarai
Ḥā, Meem.Saheeh International
-
43:2
وَ
ٱ لْكِتَٰ بِٱ لْمُبِي نِ ٢Walkitabi almubeen
By the Manifest Book:Ali Quli Qarai
By the clear Book,Saheeh International
-
43:3
إِ
نّ َا جَعَلْنَٰ هُ قُرْءَٰ نًا عَرَبِيًّ ۭا ل َّعَلَّكُمْ تَعْقِلُو نَ ٣Inna jaAAalnahu qur-ananAAarabiyyan laAAallakum taAAqiloona
We have made it an Arabic Quran so that you may exercise your reason,Ali Quli Qarai
Indeed, We have made it an Arabic Qur’ān that you might understand.Saheeh International
-
43:4
وَإِ
نّ َهُۥ فِىٓ أُمّ ِٱ لْكِتَٰ بِ لَدَيْنَا لَعَلِىٌّ حَكِي مٌ ٤Wa-innahu fee ommi alkitabi ladaynalaAAaliyyun hakeem
and it is sublime and wise with Us in the Mother Book.Ali Quli Qarai
And indeed it is, in the Mother of the Book with Us, exalted and full of wisdom.Saheeh International
-
43:5
أَفَنَضْرِبُ عَ
نك ُمُٱ ل ذِّكْرَ صَفْحًا أَن ك ُنت ُمْ قَوْمً ۭا م ُّسْرِفِي نَ ٥Afanadribu AAankumu aththikrasafhan an kuntum qawman musrifeen
Shall We keep back the Reminder from you and disregard you because you are an unrestrained lot?Ali Quli Qarai
Then should We turn the message away, disregarding you, because you are a transgressing people?Saheeh International
-
43:6
وَكَمْ أَرْسَلْنَا م
ِن ن َّبِىٍّ ۢف ِىٱ لْأَوَّلِي نَ ٦Wakam arsalna min nabiyyin feeal-awwaleen
How many a prophet We have sent to the former peoples!Ali Quli Qarai
And how many a prophet We sent among the former peoples,Saheeh International
-
43:7
وَمَا يَأْتِيه
ِم م ِّن ن َّبِىٍّ إِلَّا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ يَسْتَهْزِءُو نَ ٧Wama ya/teehim min nabiyyin illakanoo bihi yastahzi-oon
There did not come to them any prophet but that they used to deride him.Ali Quli Qarai
But there would not come to them a prophet except that they used to ridicule him.Saheeh International
-
43:8
فَأَهْلَكْن
َآ أَشَدَّ مِنْهُم ب َطْ شً ۭا و َمَضَىٰ مَثَلُٱ لْأَوَّلِي نَ ٨Faahlakna ashadda minhum batshanwamada mathalu al-awwaleen
So We destroyed those who were stronger than these, and the example of the former peoples has already come to pass.Ali Quli Qarai
And We destroyed greater than them in [striking] power, and the example of the former peoples has preceded.Saheeh International

43:9
وَلَئِ
ن س َأَلْتَهُم م َّنْ خَلَقَٱ ل سَّمَٰ وَٰ تِ وَٱ لْأَرْضَ لَيَقُولُنّ َ خَلَقَهُنّ َٱ لْعَزِيزُٱ لْعَلِي مُ ٩Wala-in saaltahum man khalaqa assamawatiwal-arda layaqoolunna khalaqahunna alAAazeezualAAaleem
If you ask them, ‘Who created the heavens and the earth?’ they will surely say, ‘The All-mighty, the All-knowing created them.’Ali Quli Qarai
And if you should ask them, "Who has created the heavens and the earth?" they would surely say, "They were created by the Exalted in Might, the Knowing,"Saheeh International

43:10
ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَ لَكُمُ
ٱ لْأَرْضَ مَهْدً ۭا و َجَعَلَ لَكُمْ فِيهَا سُبُلً ۭال َّعَلَّكُمْ تَهْتَدُو نَ ١٠Allathee jaAAala lakumu al-ardamahdan wajaAAala lakum feeha subulan laAAallakum tahtadoon
He, who made the earth a cradle for you, and made for you in it ways so that you may be guided [to your destinations],Ali Quli Qarai
[The one] who has made for you the earth a bed and made for you upon it roads that you might be guidedSaheeh International
-
43:11
وَ
ٱ لَّذِى نَزَّلَ مِنَٱ ل سَّمَا ٓءِ مَا ٓءًۢ ب ِقَدَرٍ ۢف َأَنش َرْنَا بِهِۦ بَلْدَةً ۭم َّيْتً ۭا ۚ ك َذَٰ لِكَ تُخْرَجُو نَ ١١Wallathee nazzala mina assama-imaan biqadarin faansharna bihi baldatan maytan kathalikatukhrajoon
and who sent down water from the sky in a measured manner, and We revived with it a dead country. Likewise, you shall be raised [from the dead].Ali Quli Qarai
And who sends down rain from the sky in measured amounts, and We revive thereby a dead land - thus will you be brought forth -Saheeh International
-
43:12
وَ
ٱ لَّذِى خَلَقَٱ لْأَزْوَٰ جَ كُلَّهَا وَجَعَلَ لَكُم م ِّنَٱ لْفُلْكِ وَٱ لْأَنْعَٰ مِ مَا تَرْكَبُو نَ ١٢Wallathee khalaqa al-azwajakullaha wajaAAala lakum mina alfulki wal-anAAamima tarkaboon
He created all the kinds and made for you the ships and the cattle such which you ride,Ali Quli Qarai
And who created the species, all of them, and has made for you of ships and animals those which you mountSaheeh International
-
43:13
لِتَسْتَوُ
ۥ ا۟ عَلَىٰ ظُهُورِهِۦ ثُمّ َ تَذْكُرُوا۟ نِعْمَةَ رَبِّكُمْ إِذَاٱ سْتَوَيْتُمْ عَلَيْهِ وَتَقُولُوا۟ سُبْ حَٰ نَٱ لَّذِى سَخَّرَ لَنَا هَٰ ذَا وَمَا كُنّ َا لَهُۥ مُقْ رِنِي نَ ١٣Litastawoo AAala thuhoorihithumma tathkuroo niAAmata rabbikum itha istawaytumAAalayhi wataqooloo subhana allathee sakhkhara lanahatha wama kunna lahu muqrineen
that you may sit on their backs, then remember the blessing of your Lord when you are settled on them, and say, ‘Immaculate is He who has disposed this for us, and we [by ourselves] were no match for it.Ali Quli Qarai
That you may settle yourselves upon their backs and then remember the favor of your Lord when you have settled upon them and say, "Exalted is He who has subjected this to us, and we could not have [otherwise] subdued it.Saheeh International
-
43:14
وَإِ
نّ َآ إِلَىٰ رَبِّنَا لَمُنق َلِبُو نَ ١٤Wa-inna ila rabbinalamunqaliboon
Indeed we shall return to our Lord.’Ali Quli Qarai
And indeed we, to our Lord, will [surely] return."Saheeh International
-
43:15
وَجَعَلُو
ا۟ لَهُۥ مِنْ عِبَادِهِۦ جُزْءًا ۚ إِنّ َٱ لْإِنس َٰ نَ لَكَفُورٌ ۭم ُّبِي نٌ ١٥WajaAAaloo lahu min AAibadihi juz-aninna al-insana lakafoorun mubeen
They ascribe to Him offspring from among His servants! Man is indeed a manifest ingrate.Ali Quli Qarai
But they have attributed to Him from His servants a portion. Indeed, man is clearly ungrateful.Saheeh International
-
43:16
أَمِ
ٱ تَّخَذَ مِمّ َا يَخْلُقُ بَنَاتٍ ۢو َأَصْفَىٰ كُم ب ِٱ لْبَنِي نَ ١٦Ami ittakhatha mimma yakhluqubanatin waasfakum bilbaneen
Did He adopt daughters from what He creates while He preferred you with sons?Ali Quli Qarai
Or has He taken, out of what He has created, daughters and chosen you for [having] sons?Saheeh International
-
43:17
وَإِذَا بُشِّرَ أَحَدُه
ُم ب ِمَا ضَرَبَ لِلرَّحْمَٰ نِ مَثَلً ۭاظ َلَّ وَجْ هُهُۥ مُسْوَدًّ ۭا و َهُوَ كَظِي مٌ ١٧Wa-itha bushshira ahaduhum bimadaraba lirrahmani mathalan thallawajhuhu muswaddan wahuwa katheem
When one of them is brought the news of what he ascribes to the All-beneficent, his face becomes darkened and he chokes with suppressed rage, [and says]Ali Quli Qarai
And when one of them is given good tidings of that which he attributes to the Most Merciful in comparison [i.e., a daughter], his face becomes dark, and he suppresses grief.Saheeh International
-
43:18
أَوَم
َن ي ُنَشَّؤُا۟ فِىٱ لْحِلْيَةِ وَهُوَ فِىٱ لْخِصَامِ غَيْرُ مُبِي نٍۢ ١٨Awaman yunashshao fee alhilyatiwahuwa fee alkhisami ghayru mubeen
‘What! One who is brought up amid ornaments and is inconspicuous in contests?’Ali Quli Qarai
So is one brought up in ornaments while being during conflict unevident [attributed to Allāh]?Saheeh International
-
43:19
وَجَعَلُو
ا۟ ٱ لْمَلَٰٓ ئِكَةَٱ لَّذِينَ هُمْ عِبَٰ دُٱ ل رَّحْمَٰ نِ إِنَٰ ثًا ۚ أَشَهِدُوا۟ خَلْقَهُمْ ۚ سَتُكْتَبُ شَهَٰ دَتُهُمْ وَيُسَْٔلُو نَ ١٩WajaAAaloo almala-ikata allatheenahum AAibadu arrahmani inathanashahidoo khalqahum satuktabu shahadatuhum wayus-aloon
They have made the angels—who are servants of the All-beneficent—females. Were they witness to their creation? Their testimony will be written down and they shall be questioned.Ali Quli Qarai
And they described the angels, who are servants of the Most Merciful, as females. Did they witness their creation? Their testimony will be recorded, and they will be questioned.Saheeh International
-
43:20
وَقَالُو
ا۟ لَوْ شَا ٓءَٱ ل رَّحْمَٰ نُ مَا عَبَدْ نَٰ هُم ۗ م َّا لَهُم ب ِذَٰ لِكَ مِنْ عِلْمٍ ۖ إِنْ هُمْ إِلَّا يَخْرُصُو نَ ٢٠Waqaloo law shaa arrahmanuma AAabadnahum ma lahum bithalika minAAilmin in hum illa yakhrusoon
They say, ‘Had the All-beneficent wished, we would not have worshipped them.’ They do not have any knowledge of that, and they do nothing but surmise.Ali Quli Qarai
And they said, "If the Most Merciful had willed, we would not have worshipped them." They have of that no knowledge. They are not but misjudging.Saheeh International
-
43:21
أَمْ ءَاتَيْنَ
ٰ هُمْ كِتَٰ بً ۭا م ِّن ق َبْ لِهِۦ فَهُم ب ِهِۦ مُسْتَمْسِكُو نَ ٢١Am ataynahum kitabanmin qablihi fahum bihi mustamsikoon
Did We give them a Book before this, so that they are holding fast to it?Ali Quli Qarai
Or have We given them a book before it [i.e., the Qur’ān] to which they are adhering?Saheeh International
-
43:22
بَلْ قَال
ُوٓ ا۟ إِنّ َا وَجَدْ نَآ ءَابَا ٓءَنَا عَلَىٰٓ أُمّ َةٍ ۢو َإِنّ َا عَلَىٰٓ ءَاثَٰ رِهِم م ُّهْتَدُو نَ ٢٢Bal qaloo inna wajadna abaanaAAala ommatin wa-inna AAala atharihimmuhtadoon
No, they said, ‘We found our fathers following a creed, and we are indeed guided in their footsteps.’Ali Quli Qarai
Rather, they say, "Indeed, we found our fathers upon a religion, and we are in their footsteps [rightly] guided."Saheeh International
-
43:23
وَكَذَ
ٰ لِكَ مَآ أَرْسَلْنَا مِن ق َبْ لِكَ فِى قَرْيَةٍ ۢم ِّن ن َّذِيرٍ إِلَّا قَالَ مُتْرَفُوهَآ إِنّ َا وَجَدْ نَآ ءَابَا ٓءَنَا عَلَىٰٓ أُمّ َةٍ ۢو َإِنّ َا عَلَىٰٓ ءَاثَٰ رِهِم م ُّقْ تَدُو نَ ٢٣Wakathalika ma arsalnamin qablika fee qaryatin min natheerin illa qalamutrafooha inna wajadna abaanaAAala ommatin wa-inna AAala atharihimmuqtadoon
So it has been that We did not send any warner to a town before you, without its affluent ones saying, ‘We found our fathers following a creed and we are indeed following in their footsteps.’Ali Quli Qarai
And similarly, We did not send before you any warner into a city except that its affluent said, "Indeed, we found our fathers upon a religion, and we are, in their footsteps, following."Saheeh International
-
43:24
۞ قَ
ٰ لَ أَوَلَوْ جِئْتُكُم ب ِأَهْدَىٰ مِمّ َا وَجَد تُّمْ عَلَيْهِ ءَابَا ٓءَكُمْ ۖ قَالُوٓ ا۟ إِنّ َا بِمَآ أُرْسِلْتُم ب ِهِۦ كَٰ فِرُو نَ ٢٤Qala awa law ji/tukum bi-ahdamimma wajadtum AAalayhi abaakum qalooinna bima orsiltum bihi kafiroon
He would say, ‘What! Even if I bring you a better guidance than what you found your fathers following?!’ They would say, ‘We indeed disbelieve in what you are sent with.’Ali Quli Qarai
[Each warner] said, "Even if I brought you better guidance than that [religion] upon which you found your fathers?" They said, "Indeed we, in that with which you were sent, are disbelievers."Saheeh International
-
43:25
فَ
ٱ نت َقَمْنَا مِنْهُمْ ۖ فَٱ نظ ُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَٰ قِبَةُٱ لْمُكَذِّبِي نَ ٢٥Fantaqamna minhum fanthurkayfa kana AAaqibatu almukaththibeen
Thereupon We took vengeance on them; so observe how was the fate of the deniers.Ali Quli Qarai
So We took retribution from them; then see how was the end of the deniers.Saheeh International
-
43:26
وَإِذْ قَالَ إِ
بْ رَٰ هِيمُ لِأَبِيهِ وَقَوْمِهِۦٓ إِنّ َنِى بَرَا ٓءٌ ۭم ِّمّ َا تَعْبُدُو نَ ٢٦Wa-ith qala ibraheemuli-abeehi waqawmihi innanee baraon mimma taAAbudoon
When Abraham said to his father and his people, ‘I repudiate what you worship,Ali Quli Qarai
And [mention, O Muḥammad], when Abraham said to his father and his people, "Indeed, I am disassociated from that which you worshipSaheeh International
-
43:27
إِلَّا
ٱ لَّذِى فَطَرَنِى فَإِنّ َهُۥ سَيَهْدِي نِ ٢٧Illa allathee fataraneefa-innahu sayahdeen
excepting Him who originated me; indeed He will guide me.’Ali Quli Qarai
Except for He who created me; and indeed, He will guide me."Saheeh International
-
43:28
وَجَعَلَهَا كَلِمَ
ةًۢ ب َاقِيَةً ۭف ِى عَقِبِهِۦ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُو نَ ٢٨WajaAAalaha kalimatan baqiyatanfee AAaqibihi laAAallahum yarjiAAoon
He made it a lasting word among his posterity so that they may come back [to the right path].Ali Quli Qarai
And he made it a word remaining among his descendants that they might return [to it].Saheeh International
-
43:29
بَلْ مَتَّعْتُ هَ
ٰٓ ؤُلَا ٓءِ وَءَابَا ٓءَهُمْ حَتَّىٰ جَا ٓءَهُمُٱ لْحَقُّ وَرَسُولٌ ۭم ُّبِي نٌۭ ٢٩Bal mattaAAtu haola-i waabaahumhatta jaahumu alhaqqu warasoolunmubeen
Indeed, I provided for these and their fathers until the truth and a manifest apostle came to them.Ali Quli Qarai
However, I gave enjoyment to these [people of Makkah] and their fathers until there came to them the truth and a clear Messenger.Saheeh International
-
43:30
وَلَ
مّ َا جَا ٓءَهُمُٱ لْحَقُّ قَالُوا۟ هَٰ ذَا سِحْرٌ ۭو َإِنّ َا بِهِۦ كَٰ فِرُو نَ ٣٠Walamma jaahumu alhaqquqaloo hatha sihrun wa-inna bihi kafiroon
But when the truth came to them, they said, ‘This is magic, and we indeed disbelieve in it.’Ali Quli Qarai
But when the truth came to them, they said, "This is magic, and indeed we are, concerning it, disbelievers."Saheeh International
-
43:31
وَقَالُو
ا۟ لَوْلَا نُزِّلَ هَٰ ذَاٱ لْقُرْءَانُ عَلَىٰ رَجُلٍ ۢم ِّنَٱ لْقَرْيَتَيْنِ عَظِي مٍ ٣١Waqaloo lawla nuzzila hathaalqur-anu AAala rajulin mina alqaryatayni AAatheem
And they said, ‘Why was not this Quran sent down to some great man from the two cities?’Ali Quli Qarai
And they said, "Why was this Qur’ān not sent down upon a great man from [one of] the two cities?"Saheeh International
-
43:32
أَهُمْ يَ
قْ سِمُونَ رَحْمَتَ رَبِّكَ ۚ نَحْنُ قَسَمْنَا بَيْنَهُم م َّعِيشَتَهُمْ فِىٱ لْحَيَو ٰ ةِٱ ل دُّنْيَا ۚ وَرَفَعْنَا بَعْضَهُمْ فَوْقَ بَعْضٍ ۢد َرَجَٰ تٍ ۢل ِّيَتَّخِذَ بَعْضُهُم ب َعْضً ۭا س ُخْرِيًّ ۭا ۗ و َرَحْمَتُ رَبِّكَ خَيْرٌ ۭم ِّمّ َا يَجْ مَعُو نَ ٣٢Ahum yaqsimoona rahmata rabbika nahnuqasamna baynahum maAAeeshatahum fee alhayatiaddunya warafaAAna baAAdahum fawqabaAAdin darajatin liyattakhitha baAAduhumbaAAdan sukhriyyan warahmatu rabbika khayrun mimmayajmaAAoon
Is it they who dispense the mercy of your Lord? It is We who have dispensed among them their livelihood in the present life, and raised some of them above others in rank, so that some may take others into service, and your Lord’s mercy is better than what they amass.Ali Quli Qarai
Do they distribute the mercy of your Lord? It is We who have apportioned among them their livelihood in the life of this world and have raised some of them above others in degrees [of rank] that they may make use of one another for service. But the mercy of your Lord is better than whatever they accumulate.Saheeh International
-
43:33
وَلَوْل
َآ أَن ي َكُونَٱ ل نّ َاسُ أُمّ َةً ۭو َٰ حِدَةً ۭل َّجَعَلْنَا لِمَن ي َكْفُرُ بِٱ ل رَّحْمَٰ نِ لِبُيُوتِهِمْ سُقُفً ۭا م ِّن ف ِضَّةٍ ۢو َمَعَارِجَ عَلَيْهَا يَظْهَرُو نَ ٣٣Walawla an yakoona annasuommatan wahidatan lajaAAalna liman yakfuru birrahmanilibuyootihim suqufan min fiddatin wamaAAarijaAAalayha yathharoon
Were it not [for the danger] that mankind would be one community, We would have made for those who defy the All-beneficent, silver roofs for their houses and [silver] stairways by which they ascend,Ali Quli Qarai
And if it were not that the people would become one community [of disbelievers], We would have made for those who disbelieve in the Most Merciful - for their houses - ceilings and stairways of silver upon which to mount.Saheeh International
-
43:34
وَلِبُيُوتِهِمْ أَ
بْ وَٰ بً ۭا و َسُرُرًا عَلَيْهَا يَتَّكُِٔو نَ ٣٤Walibuyootihim abwaban wasururanAAalayha yattaki-oon
and [silver] doors for their houses and [silver] couches on which they recline,Ali Quli Qarai
And for their houses - doors and couches [of silver] upon which to reclineSaheeh International
-
43:35
وَزُخْرُ
فً ۭا ۚ و َإِن ك ُلُّ ذَٰ لِكَ لَمّ َا مَتَٰ عُٱ لْحَيَو ٰ ةِٱ ل دُّنْيَا ۚ وَٱ لَْٔاخِرَةُ عِند َ رَبِّكَ لِلْمُتَّقِي نَ ٣٥Wazukhrufan wa-in kullu thalika lammamataAAu alhayati addunya wal-akhiratuAAinda rabbika lilmuttaqeen
and ornaments of gold; yet all that would be nothing but the wares of the life of this world, and the Hereafter is for the Godwary near your Lord.Ali Quli Qarai
And gold ornament. But all that is not but the enjoyment of worldly life. And the Hereafter with your Lord is for the righteous.Saheeh International
-
43:36
وَم
َن ي َعْشُ عَن ذ ِكْرِٱ ل رَّحْمَٰ نِ نُقَيِّضْ لَهُۥ شَيْطَٰ نً ۭا ف َهُوَ لَهُۥ قَرِي نٌۭ ٣٦Waman yaAAshu AAan thikri arrahmaninuqayyid lahu shaytanan fahuwa lahu qareen
We assign a devil to be the companion of him who turns a blind eye to the remembrance of the All-beneficent.Ali Quli Qarai
And whoever is blinded from remembrance of the Most Merciful - We appoint for him a devil, and he is to him a companion.Saheeh International
-
43:37
وَإِ
نّ َهُمْ لَيَصُدُّونَهُمْ عَنِٱ ل سَّبِيلِ وَيَحْسَبُونَ أَنّ َهُم م ُّهْتَدُو نَ ٣٧Wa-innahum layasuddoonahum AAani assabeeliwayahsaboona annahum muhtadoon
Indeed they bar them from the way [of Allah], while they suppose that they are [rightly] guided.Ali Quli Qarai
And indeed, they [i.e., the devils] avert them from the way [of guidance] while they think that they are [rightly] guidedSaheeh International
-
43:38
حَتَّ
ىٰٓ إِذَا جَا ٓءَنَا قَالَ يَٰ لَيْتَ بَيْنِى وَبَيْنَكَ بُعْدَٱ لْمَشْرِقَيْنِ فَبِئْسَٱ لْقَرِي نُ ٣٨Hatta itha jaanaqala ya layta baynee wabaynaka buAAda almashriqaynifabi/sa alqareen
When he comes to Us, he will say, ‘I wish there had been between me and you the distance between the east and the west! What an evil companion [you are]!’Ali Quli Qarai
Until, when he comes to Us [at Judgement], he says [to his companion], "How I wish there was between me and you the distance between the east and west; and what a wretched companion."Saheeh International
-
43:39
وَل
َن ي َنف َعَكُمُٱ لْيَوْمَ إِذ ظَّلَمْتُمْ أَنّ َكُمْ فِىٱ لْعَذَابِ مُشْتَرِكُو نَ ٣٩Walan yanfaAAakumu alyawma ith thalamtumannakum fee alAAathabi mushtarikoon
‘Today that will be of no avail to you. As you did wrong, so will you share in the punishment.’Ali Quli Qarai
And never will it benefit you that Day, when you have wronged, that you are [all] sharing in the punishment.Saheeh International
-
43:40
أَفَأَ
نت َ تُسْمِعُٱ ل صُّمّ َ أَوْ تَهْدِىٱ لْعُمْىَ وَمَن ك َانَ فِى ضَلَٰ لٍ ۢم ُّبِي نٍۢ ٤٠Afaanta tusmiAAu assumma awtahdee alAAumya waman kana fee dalalinmubeen
Can you, then, make the deaf hear or guide the blind and those who are in manifest error?Ali Quli Qarai
Then will you make the deaf hear, [O Muḥammad], or guide the blind or he who is in clear error?Saheeh International
-
43:41
فَإِ
مّ َا نَذْهَبَنّ َ بِكَ فَإِنّ َا مِنْهُم م ُّنت َقِمُو نَ ٤١Fa-imma nathhabanna bikafa-inna minhum muntaqimoon
We will indeed take vengeance on them, whether We take you awayAli Quli Qarai
And whether [or not] We take you away [in death], indeed, We will take retribution upon them.Saheeh International
-
43:42
أَوْ نُرِيَ
نّ َكَٱ لَّذِى وَعَدْ نَٰ هُمْ فَإِنّ َا عَلَيْهِم م ُّقْ تَدِرُو نَ ٤٢Aw nuriyannaka allathee waAAadnahumfa-inna AAalayhim muqtadiroon
or show you what We have promised them, for indeed We hold them in Our power.Ali Quli Qarai
Or whether [or not] We show you that which We have promised them, indeed, We are Perfect in Ability.Saheeh International
-
43:43
فَ
ٱ سْتَمْسِكْ بِٱ لَّذِىٓ أُوحِىَ إِلَيْكَ ۖ إِنّ َكَ عَلَىٰ صِرَٰ طٍ ۢم ُّسْتَقِي مٍۢ ٤٣Fastamsik billatheeoohiya ilayka innaka AAala siratinmustaqeem
So hold fast to what has been revealed to you. Indeed, you are on a straight path.Ali Quli Qarai
So adhere to that which is revealed to you. Indeed, you are on a straight path.Saheeh International
-
43:44
وَإِ
نّ َهُۥ لَذِكْرٌ ۭل َّكَ وَلِقَوْمِكَ ۖ وَسَوْفَ تُسَْٔلُو نَ ٤٤Wa-innahu lathikrun laka waliqawmikawasawfa tus-aloon
Indeed it is a reminder for you and your people, and soon you will be questioned.Ali Quli Qarai
And indeed, it is a remembrance for you and your people, and you [all] are going to be questioned.Saheeh International
-
43:45
وَسَْٔلْ مَنْ أَرْسَلْنَا مِ
ن ق َبْ لِكَ مِن ر ُّسُلِنَآ أَجَعَلْنَا مِن د ُونِٱ ل رَّحْمَٰ نِ ءَالِهَةً ۭي ُعْبَدُو نَ ٤٥Was-al man arsalna minqablika min rusulina ajaAAalna min dooni arrahmanialihatan yuAAbadoon
Ask those of Our apostles We have sent before you: Did We set up any gods to be worshipped besides the All-beneficent?Ali Quli Qarai
And ask those We sent before you of Our messengers; have We made besides the Most Merciful deities to be worshipped?Saheeh International
-
43:46
وَلَقَ
دْ أَرْسَلْنَا مُوسَىٰ بَِٔايَٰ تِنَآ إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلَإِي۟ هِۦ فَقَالَ إِنّ ِى رَسُولُ رَبِّٱ لْعَٰ لَمِي نَ ٤٦Walaqad arsalna moosa bi-ayatinaila firAAawna wamala-ihi faqala innee rasoolu rabbialAAalameen
Certainly We sent Moses with Our signs to Pharaoh and his elite. He said, ‘I am indeed an apostle of the Lord of all the worlds.’Ali Quli Qarai
And certainly did We send Moses with Our signs to Pharaoh and his establishment, and he said, "Indeed, I am the messenger of the Lord of the worlds."Saheeh International
-
43:47
فَلَ
مّ َا جَا ٓءَهُم ب َِٔايَٰ تِنَآ إِذَا هُم م ِّنْهَا يَضْحَكُو نَ ٤٧Falamma jaahum bi-ayatinaitha hum minha yadhakoon
But when he brought them Our signs, they indeed laughed at them.Ali Quli Qarai
But when he brought them Our signs, at once they laughed at them.Saheeh International
-
43:48
وَمَا نُرِيه
ِم م ِّنْ ءَايَةٍ إِلَّا هِىَ أَكْبَرُ مِنْ أُخْتِهَا ۖ وَأَخَذْنَٰ هُم ب ِٱ لْعَذَابِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُو نَ ٤٨Wama nureehim min ayatin illahiya akbaru min okhtiha waakhathnahum bilAAathabilaAAallahum yarjiAAoon
We did not show them a sign but it was greater than the other, and We visited on them punishment so that they might come back.Ali Quli Qarai
And We showed them not a sign except that it was greater than its sister, and We seized them with affliction that perhaps they might return [to faith].Saheeh International
-
43:49
وَقَالُو
ا۟ يَٰٓ أَيُّهَٱ ل سَّاحِرُٱ دْ عُ لَنَا رَبَّكَ بِمَا عَهِدَ عِند َكَ إِنّ َنَا لَمُهْتَدُو نَ ٤٩Waqaloo ya ayyuha asahiruodAAu lana rabbaka bima AAahida AAindaka innanalamuhtadoon
They would say, ‘O magician! Invoke your Lord for us by the covenant He has made with you [to remove this scourge]. We will indeed be guided [when it is removed].’Ali Quli Qarai
And they said [to Moses], "O magician, invoke for us your Lord by what He has promised you. Indeed, we will be guided."Saheeh International
-
43:50
فَلَ
مّ َا كَشَفْنَا عَنْهُمُٱ لْعَذَابَ إِذَا هُمْ يَنك ُثُو نَ ٥٠Falamma kashafna AAanhumualAAathaba itha hum yankuthoon
But when We lifted the punishment from them, behold, they would break their pledge.Ali Quli Qarai
But when We removed from them the affliction, at once they broke their word.Saheeh International
-
43:51
وَنَادَىٰ فِرْعَوْنُ فِى قَوْمِه
ِۦ قَالَ يَٰ قَوْمِ أَلَيْسَ لِى مُلْكُ مِصْرَ وَهَٰ ذِهِٱ لْأَنْهَٰ رُ تَجْ رِى مِن ت َحْتِىٓ ۖ أَفَلَا تُبْ صِرُو نَ ٥١Wanada firAAawnu fee qawmihi qalaya qawmi alaysa lee mulku misra wahathihial-anharu tajree min tahtee afala tubsiroon
And Pharaoh proclaimed to his people, saying, ‘O my people! Do not the kingdom of Egypt and these rivers that run at my feet belong to me? Do you not perceive?Ali Quli Qarai
And Pharaoh called out among his people; he said, "O my people, does not the kingdom of Egypt belong to me, and these rivers flowing beneath me; then do you not see?Saheeh International
-
43:52
أَمْ أَنَا۠ خَيْ
رٌ ۭم ِّنْ هَٰ ذَاٱ لَّذِى هُوَ مَهِينٌ ۭو َلَا يَكَادُ يُبِي نُ ٥٢Am ana khayrun min hatha allatheehuwa maheenun wala yakadu yubeen
Am I not better than this wretch who cannot even speak clearly?Ali Quli Qarai
Or am I [not] better than this one [i.e., Moses] who is insignificant and hardly makes himself clear?Saheeh International
-
43:53
فَلَوْل
َآ أُلْقِىَ عَلَيْهِ أَسْوِرَةٌ ۭم ِّن ذ َهَبٍ أَوْ جَا ٓءَ مَعَهُٱ لْمَلَٰٓ ئِكَةُ مُقْ تَرِنِي نَ ٥٣Falawla olqiya AAalayhi aswiratun minthahabin aw jaa maAAahu almala-ikatumuqtarineen
Why no bracelets of gold have been thrown to him, nor any angels accompany him as escorts?’Ali Quli Qarai
Then why have there not been placed upon him bracelets of gold or come with him the angels in conjunction?"Saheeh International
-
43:54
فَ
ٱ سْتَخَفَّ قَوْمَهُۥ فَأَطَاعُوهُ ۚ إِنّ َهُمْ كَانُوا۟ قَوْمً ۭا ف َٰ سِقِي نَ ٥٤Fastakhaffa qawmahu faataAAoohuinnahum kanoo qawman fasiqeen
Thus did he mislead his people and they obeyed him. Indeed, they were a transgressing lot.Ali Quli Qarai
So he bluffed his people, and they obeyed him. Indeed, they were [themselves] a people defiantly disobedient [of Allāh].Saheeh International
-
43:55
فَلَ
مّ َآ ءَاسَفُونَاٱ نت َقَمْنَا مِنْهُمْ فَأَغْرَقْ نَٰ هُمْ أَجْ مَعِي نَ ٥٥Falamma asafoonaintaqamna minhum faaghraqnahum ajmaAAeen
So when they roused Our wrath, We took vengeance on them and drowned them all.Ali Quli Qarai
And when they angered Us, We took retribution from them and drowned them all.Saheeh International
-
43:56
فَجَعَلْنَ
ٰ هُمْ سَلَفً ۭا و َمَثَلً ۭال ِّلَْٔاخِرِي نَ ٥٦FajaAAalnahum salafan wamathalan lil-akhireen
Thus We made them the vanguard and an example for posterity.Ali Quli Qarai
And We made them a precedent and an example for the later peoples.Saheeh International
-
43:57
۞ وَلَ
مّ َا ضُرِبَٱ بْ نُ مَرْيَمَ مَثَلًا إِذَا قَوْمُكَ مِنْهُ يَصِدُّو نَ ٥٧Walamma duriba ibnu maryamamathalan itha qawmuka minhu yasiddoon
When the Son of Mary was cited as an example, behold, your people raise an outcry.Ali Quli Qarai
And when the son of Mary was presented as an example, immediately your people laughed aloud.Saheeh International
-
43:58
وَقَال
ُوٓ ا۟ ءَأَٰ لِهَتُنَا خَيْرٌ أَمْ هُوَ ۚ مَا ضَرَبُوهُ لَكَ إِلَّا جَدَلًۢ اۚ ب َلْ هُمْ قَوْمٌ خَصِمُو نَ ٥٨Waqaloo aalihatunakhayrun am huwa ma daraboohu laka illajadalan bal hum qawmun khasimoon
They say, ‘Are our gods better or he?’ They cite him to you only for the sake of contention. Indeed, they are a contentious lot.Ali Quli Qarai
And they said, "Are our gods better, or is he?" They did not present it [i.e., the comparison] except for [mere] argument. But, [in fact], they are a people prone to dispute.Saheeh International
-
43:59
إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا عَ
بْ دٌ أَنْعَمْنَا عَلَيْهِ وَجَعَلْنَٰ هُ مَثَلً ۭال ِّبَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰ ٓءِي لَ ٥٩In huwa illa AAabdun anAAamnaAAalayhi wajaAAalnahu mathalan libanee isra-eel
He was just a servant whom We had blessed and made an exemplar for the Children of Israel.Ali Quli Qarai
He [i.e., Jesus] was not but a servant upon whom We bestowed favor, and We made him an example for the Children of Israel.Saheeh International
-
43:60
وَلَوْ نَش
َا ٓءُ لَجَعَلْنَا مِنك ُم م َّلَٰٓ ئِكَةً ۭف ِىٱ لْأَرْضِ يَخْلُفُو نَ ٦٠Walaw nashao lajaAAalna minkummala-ikatan fee al-ardi yakhlufoon
Had We wished We would have set angels in your stead to be [your] successors on the earth.Ali Quli Qarai
And if We willed, We could have made [instead] of you angels succeeding [one another] on the earth.Saheeh International
-
43:61
وَإِ
نّ َهُۥ لَعِلْمٌ ۭل ِّلسَّاعَةِ فَلَا تَمْتَرُنّ َ بِهَا وَٱ تَّبِعُونِ ۚ هَٰ ذَا صِرَٰ طٌ ۭم ُّسْتَقِي مٌۭ ٦١Wa-innahu laAAilmun lissaAAatifala tamtarunna biha wattabiAAooni hathasiratun mustaqeem
[Say,] ‘Indeed he is a portent of the Hour; so do not doubt it and follow me. This is a straight path.Ali Quli Qarai
And indeed, he [i.e., Jesus] will be [a sign for] knowledge of the Hour, so be not in doubt of it, and follow Me. This is a straight path.Saheeh International
-
43:62
وَلَا يَصُدَّ
نّ َكُمُٱ ل شَّيْطَٰ نُ ۖ إِنّ َهُۥ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّ ۭم ُّبِي نٌۭ ٦٢Wala yasuddannakumu ashshaytanuinnahu lakum AAaduwwun mubeen
Do not let Satan bar you [from the way of Allah]. Indeed he is your manifest enemy.’Ali Quli Qarai
And never let Satan avert you. Indeed, he is to you a clear enemy.Saheeh International
-
43:63
وَلَ
مّ َا جَا ٓءَ عِيسَىٰ بِٱ لْبَيِّنَٰ تِ قَالَ قَدْ جِئْتُكُم ب ِٱ لْحِكْمَةِ وَلِأُبَيِّنَ لَكُم ب َعْضَٱ لَّذِى تَخْتَلِفُونَ فِيهِ ۖ فَٱ تَّقُوا۟ ٱ للَّهَ وَأَطِيعُو نِ ٦٣Walamma jaa AAeesa bilbayyinatiqala qad ji/tukum bilhikmati wali-obayyinalakum baAAda allathee takhtalifoona feehi fattaqooAllaha waateeAAoon
When Jesus brought those manifest proofs, he said, ‘I have certainly brought you wisdom, and [I have come] to make clear to you some of the things that you differ about. So be wary of Allah and obey me.Ali Quli Qarai
And when Jesus brought clear proofs, he said, "I have come to you with wisdom [i.e., prophethood] and to make clear to you some of that over which you differ, so fear Allāh and obey me.Saheeh International
-
43:64
إِ
نّ َٱ للَّهَ هُوَ رَبِّى وَرَبُّكُمْ فَٱ عْبُدُوهُ ۚ هَٰ ذَا صِرَٰ طٌ ۭم ُّسْتَقِي مٌۭ ٦٤Inna Allaha huwa rabbee warabbukum faAAbudoohuhatha siratun mustaqeem
Indeed Allah is my Lord and your Lord; so worship Him. This is a straight path.’Ali Quli Qarai
Indeed, Allāh is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him. This is a straight path."Saheeh International
-
43:65
فَ
ٱ خْتَلَفَٱ لْأَحْزَابُ مِنۢ ب َيْنِهِمْ ۖ فَوَيْلٌ ۭل ِّلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ مِنْ عَذَابِ يَوْمٍ أَلِي مٍ ٦٥Fakhtalafa al-ahzabumin baynihim fawaylun lillatheena thalamoomin AAathabi yawmin aleem
But the factions differed among themselves. So woe to the wrongdoers for the punishment of a painful day.Ali Quli Qarai
But the denominations from among them differed [and separated], so woe to those who have wronged from the punishment of a painful Day.Saheeh International
-
43:66
هَلْ يَ
نظ ُرُونَ إِلَّاٱ ل سَّاعَةَ أَن ت َأْتِيَهُم ب َغْتَةً ۭو َهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُو نَ ٦٦Hal yanthuroona illa assaAAataan ta/tiyahum baghtatan wahum la yashAAuroon
Do they not consider that the Hour may overtake them suddenly while they are unaware?Ali Quli Qarai
Are they waiting except for the Hour to come upon them suddenly while they perceive not?Saheeh International
-
43:67
ٱلْأَخِلّ
َا ٓءُ يَوْمَئِذٍۭ ب َعْضُهُمْ لِبَعْضٍ عَدُوٌّ إِلَّاٱ لْمُتَّقِي نَ ٦٧Al-akhillao yawma-ithin baAAduhumlibaAAdin AAaduwwun illa almuttaqeen
On that day, friends will be one another’s enemies, except for the Godwary.Ali Quli Qarai
Close friends, that Day, will be enemies to each other, except for the righteousSaheeh International
-
43:68
يَ
ٰ عِبَادِ لَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْكُمُٱ لْيَوْمَ وَلَآ أَنت ُمْ تَحْزَنُو نَ ٦٨Ya AAibadi la khawfunAAalaykumu alyawma wala antum tahzanoon
[They will be told,] ‘O My servants! Today you will have no fear, nor will you grieveAli Quli Qarai
[To whom Allāh will say], "O My servants, no fear will there be concerning you this Day, nor will you grieve,Saheeh International
-
43:69
ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُو
ا۟ بَِٔايَٰ تِنَا وَكَانُوا۟ مُسْلِمِي نَ ٦٩Allatheena amanoo bi-ayatinawakanoo muslimeen
—those who believed in Our signs and had been Muslims.Ali Quli Qarai
[You] who believed in Our verses and were Muslims.Saheeh International
-
43:70
ٱ
دْ خُلُوا۟ ٱ لْجَنّ َةَ أَنت ُمْ وَأَزْوَٰ جُكُمْ تُحْبَرُو نَ ٧٠Odkhuloo aljannata antum waazwajukumtuhbaroon
Enter paradise, you and your spouses, rejoicing.’Ali Quli Qarai
Enter Paradise, you and your kinds, delighted."Saheeh International
-
43:71
يُطَافُ عَلَيْه
ِم ب ِصِحَافٍ ۢم ِّن ذ َهَبٍ ۢو َأَكْوَابٍ ۢۖ و َفِيهَا مَا تَشْتَهِيهِٱ لْأَنف ُسُ وَتَلَذُّٱ لْأَعْيُنُ ۖ وَأَنت ُمْ فِيهَا خَٰ لِدُو نَ ٧١Yutafu AAalayhim bisihafinmin thahabin waakwabin wafeeha matashtaheehi al-anfusu watalaththu al-aAAyunu waantum feehakhalidoon
They will be served around with golden dishes and goblets, and therein will be whatever the souls desire and eyes delight in. ‘You will remain in it [forever].Ali Quli Qarai
Circulated among them will be plates and vessels of gold. And therein is whatever the souls desire and [what] delights the eyes, and you will abide therein eternally.Saheeh International
-
43:72
وَتِلْكَ
ٱ لْجَنّ َةُٱ لَّتِىٓ أُورِثْتُمُوهَا بِمَا كُنت ُمْ تَعْمَلُو نَ ٧٢Watilka aljannatu allatee oorithtumoohabima kuntum taAAmaloon
That is the paradise you have been given to inherit for what you used to do.Ali Quli Qarai
And that is Paradise which you are made to inherit for what you used to do.Saheeh International
-
43:73
لَكُمْ فِيهَا فَ
ٰ كِهَةٌ ۭك َثِيرَةٌ ۭم ِّنْهَا تَأْكُلُو نَ ٧٣Lakum feeha fakihatunkatheeratun minha ta/kuloon
There are abundant fruits for you in it, from which you will eat.’Ali Quli Qarai
For you therein is much fruit from which you will eat.Saheeh International
-
43:74
إِ
نّ َٱ لْمُجْ رِمِينَ فِى عَذَابِ جَهَنّ َمَ خَٰ لِدُو نَ ٧٤Inna almujrimeena fee AAathabijahannama khalidoon
Indeed the guilty will remain [forever] in the punishment of hell.Ali Quli Qarai
Indeed, the criminals will be in the punishment of Hell, abiding eternally.Saheeh International
-
43:75
لَا يُفَتَّرُ عَنْهُمْ وَهُمْ فِيهِ مُ
بْ لِسُو نَ ٧٥La yufattaru AAanhum wahum feehimublisoon
It will not be lightened for them, and they will be despondent in it.Ali Quli Qarai
It will not be allowed to subside for them, and they, therein, are in despair.Saheeh International
-
43:76
وَمَا ظَلَمْنَ
ٰ هُمْ وَلَٰ كِن ك َانُوا۟ هُمُٱ ل ظَّٰ لِمِي نَ ٧٦Wama thalamnahumwalakin kanoo humu aththalimeen
We did not wrong them, but they themselves were wrongdoers.Ali Quli Qarai
And We did not wrong them, but it was they who were the wrongdoers.Saheeh International
-
43:77
وَنَادَوْ
ا۟ يَٰ مَٰ لِكُ لِيَقْ ضِ عَلَيْنَا رَبُّكَ ۖ قَالَ إِنّ َكُم م َّٰ كِثُو نَ ٧٧Wanadaw ya maliku liyaqdiAAalayna rabbuka qala innakum makithoon
They will call out, ‘O Malik! Let your Lord finish us off!’ He will say, ‘Indeed you will stay on.’Ali Quli Qarai
And they will call, "O Mālik, let your Lord put an end to us!" He will say, "Indeed, you will remain."Saheeh International
-
43:78
لَقَ
دْ جِئْنَٰ كُم ب ِٱ لْحَقِّ وَلَٰ كِنّ َ أَكْثَرَكُمْ لِلْحَقِّ كَٰ رِهُو نَ ٧٨Laqad ji/nakum bilhaqqiwalakinna aktharakum lilhaqqi karihoon
‘We certainly brought you the truth, but most of you were averse to the truth.’Ali Quli Qarai
We had certainly brought you the truth, but most of you, to the truth, were averse.Saheeh International
-
43:79
أَمْ أَ
بْ رَمُوٓ ا۟ أَمْرً ۭا ف َإِنّ َا مُبْ رِمُو نَ ٧٩Am abramoo amran fa-inna mubrimoon
Have they settled on some [devious] plan? Indeed, We too are settling [on Our plans].Ali Quli Qarai
Or have they devised [some] affair? But indeed, We are devising [a plan].Saheeh International
-
43:80
أَمْ يَحْسَبُونَ أَ
نّ َا لَا نَسْمَعُ سِرَّهُمْ وَنَجْ وَىٰ هُم ۚ ب َلَىٰ وَرُسُلُنَا لَدَيْهِمْ يَكْتُبُو نَ ٨٠Am yahsaboona anna lanasmaAAu sirrahum wanajwahum bala warusulunaladayhim yaktuboon
Do they suppose that We do not hear their secret thoughts and their secret talks? Yes indeed [We do]! And with them are Our messengers, writing down [everything].Ali Quli Qarai
Or do they think that We hear not their secrets and their private conversations? Yes, [We do], and Our messengers [i.e., angels] are with them recording.Saheeh International
-
43:81
قُلْ إِ
ن ك َانَ لِلرَّحْمَٰ نِ وَلَدٌ ۭف َأَنَا۠ أَوَّلُٱ لْعَٰ بِدِي نَ ٨١Qul in kana lirrahmaniwaladun faana awwalu alAAabideen
Say, ‘If the All-beneficent had offspring, I would have been the first to worship [him].’Ali Quli Qarai
Say, [O Muḥammad], "If the Most Merciful had a son, then I would be the first of [his] worshippers."Saheeh International
-
43:82
سُ
بْ حَٰ نَ رَبِّٱ ل سَّمَٰ وَٰ تِ وَٱ لْأَرْضِ رَبِّٱ لْعَرْشِ عَمّ َا يَصِفُو نَ ٨٢Subhana rabbi assamawatiwal-ardi rabbi alAAarshi AAamma yasifoon
Clear is the Lord of the heavens and the earth, the Lord of the Throne, of whatever they allege [concerning Him]!Ali Quli Qarai
Exalted is the Lord of the heavens and the earth, Lord of the Throne, above what they describe.Saheeh International
-
43:83
فَذَرْهُمْ يَخُوضُو
ا۟ وَيَلْعَبُوا۟ حَتَّىٰ يُلَٰ قُوا۟ يَوْمَهُمُٱ لَّذِى يُوعَدُو نَ ٨٣Fatharhum yakhoodoowayalAAaboo hatta yulaqoo yawmahumu allatheeyooAAadoon
So leave them to gossip and play until they encounter the day they are promised.Ali Quli Qarai
So leave them to converse vainly and amuse themselves until they meet their Day which they are promised.Saheeh International
-
43:84
وَهُوَ
ٱ لَّذِى فِىٱ ل سَّمَا ٓءِ إِلَٰ هٌ ۭو َفِىٱ لْأَرْضِ إِلَٰ هٌ ۭۚ و َهُوَٱ لْحَكِيمُٱ لْعَلِي مُ ٨٤Wahuwa allathee fee assama-iilahun wafee al-ardi ilahun wahuwa alhakeemualAAaleem
It is He who is God in the sky, and God on the earth, and He is the All-Wise, the All-Knowing.Ali Quli Qarai
And it is He [i.e., Allāh] who is [the only] deity in the heaven, and on the earth [the only] deity. And He is the Wise, the Knowing.Saheeh International
-
43:85
وَتَبَارَكَ
ٱ لَّذِى لَهُۥ مُلْكُٱ ل سَّمَٰ وَٰ تِ وَٱ لْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا وَعِند َهُۥ عِلْمُٱ ل سَّاعَةِ وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُو نَ ٨٥Watabaraka allathee lahu mulkuassamawati wal-ardi wamabaynahuma waAAindahu AAilmu assaAAatiwa-ilayhi turjaAAoon
Blessed is He to whom belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them, and with Him is the knowledge of the Hour, and to Him you will be brought back.Ali Quli Qarai
And blessed is He to whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them and with whom is knowledge of the Hour and to whom you will be returned.Saheeh International
-
43:86
وَلَا يَمْلِكُ
ٱ لَّذِينَ يَدْ عُونَ مِن د ُونِهِٱ ل شَّفَٰ عَةَ إِلَّا مَن ش َهِدَ بِٱ لْحَقِّ وَهُمْ يَعْلَمُو نَ ٨٦Wala yamliku allatheenayadAAoona min doonihi ashshafaAAata illaman shahida bilhaqqi wahum yaAAlamoon
Those whom they invoke besides Him have no power of intercession, except those who are witness to the truth and who know [for whom to intercede].Ali Quli Qarai
And those they invoke besides Him do not possess [power of] intercession; but only those who testify to the truth [can benefit], and they know.Saheeh International

43:87
وَلَئِ
ن س َأَلْتَهُم م َّنْ خَلَقَهُمْ لَيَقُولُنّ َٱ للَّهُ ۖ فَأَنّ َىٰ يُؤْفَكُو نَ ٨٧Wala-in saaltahum man khalaqahumlayaqoolunna Allahu faanna yu/fakoon
If you ask them, ‘Who created them?’ they will surely say, ‘Allah.’ Then where do they stray?Ali Quli Qarai
And if you asked them who created them, they would surely say, "Allāh." So how are they deluded?Saheeh International

43:88
وَقِيلِه
ِۦ يَٰ رَبِّ إِنّ َ هَٰٓ ؤُلَا ٓءِ قَوْمٌ ۭل َّا يُؤْمِنُو نَ ٨٨Waqeelihi ya rabbi inna haola-iqawmun la yu/minoon
And his plaint: ‘My Lord! Indeed these are a people who will not have faith!’Ali Quli Qarai
And [Allāh acknowledges] his saying, "O my Lord, indeed these are a people who do not believe."Saheeh International

43:89
فَ
ٱ صْفَحْ عَنْهُمْ وَقُلْ سَلَٰ مٌ ۭۚ ف َسَوْفَ يَعْلَمُو نَ ٨٩Fasfah AAanhum waqulsalamun fasawfa yaAAlamoon
So disregard them, and say, ‘Peace!’ Soon they will know.Ali Quli Qarai
So turn aside from them and say, "Peace." But they are going to know.Saheeh International
