بِسْمِ
-
56:1
إِذَا وَقَعَتِ
ٱ لْوَاقِعَةُ ١Itha waqaAAati alwaqiAAat
When the Imminent [Hour] befallsAli Quli Qarai
When the Occurrence occurs,Saheeh International
-
56:2
لَيْسَ لِوَ
قْ عَتِهَا كَاذِبَةٌ ٢Laysa liwaqAAatiha kathiba
—there is no denying that it will befall—Ali Quli Qarai
There is, at its occurrence, no denial.Saheeh International
-
56:3
خَافِضَ
ةٌ ۭر َّافِعَةٌ ٣Khafidatun rafiAAa
[it will be] lowering and exalting.Ali Quli Qarai
It will bring down [some] and raise up [others].Saheeh International
-
56:4
إِذَا رُجَّتِ
ٱ لْأَرْضُ رَجًّۭا ٤Itha rujjati al-ardu rajja
When the earth is shaken violently,Ali Quli Qarai
When the earth is shaken with convulsionSaheeh International
-
56:5
وَبُسَّتِ
ٱ لْجِبَالُ بَسًّۭا ٥Wabussati aljibalu bassa
and the mountains are shattered into bitsAli Quli Qarai
And the mountains are broken down, crumblingSaheeh International
-
56:6
فَكَانَتْ هَب
َا ٓءً ۭم ُّنۢب َثًّۭا ٦Fakanat habaan munbaththa
and become scattered dust,Ali Quli Qarai
And become dust dispersing,Saheeh International
-
56:7
وَكُ
نت ُمْ أَزْوَٰ جً ۭا ث َلَٰ ثَةًۭ ٧Wakuntum azwajan thalatha
you will be three groups:Ali Quli Qarai
And you become [of] three kinds:Saheeh International
-
56:8
فَأَصْحَ
ٰ بُٱ لْمَيْمَنَةِ مَآ أَصْحَٰ بُٱ لْمَيْمَنَةِ ٨Faas-habu almaymanati maas-habu almaymanat
The People of the Right Hand—and what are the People of the Right Hand?!Ali Quli Qarai
Then the companions of the right - what are the companions of the right?Saheeh International
-
56:9
وَأَصْحَ
ٰ بُٱ لْمَشَْٔمَةِ مَآ أَصْحَٰ بُٱ لْمَشَْٔمَةِ ٩Waas-habu almash-amati maas-habu almash-amat
And the People of the Left Hand—and what are the People of the Left Hand?!Ali Quli Qarai
And the companions of the left - what are companions of the left?Saheeh International
-
56:10
وَ
ٱ ل سَّٰ بِقُونَٱ ل سَّٰ بِقُو نَ ١٠Wassabiqoona assabiqoon
And the Foremost Ones are the foremost ones:Ali Quli Qarai
And the forerunners, the forerunners -Saheeh International
-
56:11
أُ
و۟ لَٰٓ ئِكَٱ لْمُقَرَّبُو نَ ١١Ola-ika almuqarraboon
they are the ones brought near [to Allah],Ali Quli Qarai
Those are the ones brought near [to Allāh]Saheeh International
-
56:12
فِى جَ
نّ َٰ تِٱ ل نّ َعِي مِ ١٢Fee jannati annaAAeem
[who will reside] in the gardens of bliss.Ali Quli Qarai
In the Gardens of Pleasure,Saheeh International
-
56:13
ثُلَّ
ةٌ ۭم ِّنَٱ لْأَوَّلِي نَ ١٣Thullatun mina al-awwaleen
A multitude from the former [generations]Ali Quli Qarai
A [large] company of the former peoplesSaheeh International
-
56:14
وَقَلِي
لٌ ۭم ِّنَٱ لَْٔاخِرِي نَ ١٤Waqaleelun mina al-akhireena
and a few from the latter ones.Ali Quli Qarai
And a few of the later peoples,Saheeh International
-
56:15
عَلَىٰ سُرُ
رٍ ۢم َّوْضُونَةٍۢ ١٥AAala sururin mawdoona
On brocaded couchesAli Quli Qarai
On thrones woven [with ornament],Saheeh International
-
56:16
مُّتَّكِِٔينَ عَلَيْهَا مُتَقَ
ٰ بِلِي نَ ١٦Muttaki-eena AAalayha mutaqabileen
reclining on them, face to face.Ali Quli Qarai
Reclining on them, facing each other.Saheeh International
-
56:17
يَطُوفُ عَلَيْهِمْ وِلْدَ
ٰ نٌ ۭم ُّخَلَّدُو نَ ١٧Yatoofu AAalayhim wildanunmukhalladoon
They will be waited upon by immortal youths,Ali Quli Qarai
There will circulate among them young boys made eternalSaheeh International
-
56:18
بِأَكْوَا
بٍ ۢو َأَبَارِيقَ وَكَأْسٍ ۢم ِّن م َّعِي نٍۢ ١٨Bi-akwabin waabareeqa waka/sinmin maAAeen
with goblets and ewers and a cup of a clear wine,Ali Quli Qarai
With vessels, pitchers and a cup [of wine] from a flowing spring -Saheeh International
-
56:19
لَّا يُصَدَّعُونَ عَنْهَا وَلَا يُ
نز ِفُو نَ ١٩La yusaddaAAoona AAanhawala yunzifoon
which causes them neither headache nor stupefaction,Ali Quli Qarai
No headache will they have therefrom, nor will they be intoxicated -Saheeh International
-
56:20
وَفَ
ٰ كِهَةٍ ۢم ِّمّ َا يَتَخَيَّرُو نَ ٢٠Wafakihatin mimmayatakhayyaroon
and such fruits as they preferAli Quli Qarai
And fruit of what they selectSaheeh International
-
56:21
وَلَحْمِ طَيْ
رٍ ۢم ِّمّ َا يَشْتَهُو نَ ٢١Walahmi tayrin mimmayashtahoon
and such flesh of fowls as they desire,Ali Quli Qarai
And the meat of fowl, from whatever they desire.Saheeh International
-
56:22
وَحُورٌ ع
ِي نٌۭ ٢٢Wahoorun AAeen
and big-eyed hourisAli Quli Qarai
And [for them are] fair women with large, [beautiful] eyes,Saheeh International
-
56:23
كَأَمْثَ
ٰ لِٱ ل لُّؤْلُؤِٱ لْمَكْنُو نِ ٢٣Kaamthali allu/lui almaknoon
like guarded pearls,Ali Quli Qarai
The likenesses of pearls well-protected,Saheeh International
-
56:24
جَز
َا ٓءًۢ ب ِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُو نَ ٢٤Jazaan bima kanooyaAAmaloon
a reward for what they used to do.Ali Quli Qarai
As reward for what they used to do.Saheeh International
-
56:25
لَا يَسْمَعُونَ فِيهَا لَغْ
وً ۭا و َلَا تَأْثِيمًا ٢٥La yasmaAAoona feeha laghwanwala ta/theema
They will not hear therein any vain talk or sinful speech,Ali Quli Qarai
They will not hear therein ill speech or commission of sin -Saheeh International
-
56:26
إِلَّا قِيل
ً ۭاس َلَٰ مً ۭا س َلَٰ مًۭا ٢٦Illa qeelan salaman salama
but only the watchword, ‘Peace!’ ‘Peace!’Ali Quli Qarai
Only a saying [of] peace, peace.Saheeh International
-
56:27
وَأَصْحَ
ٰ بُٱ لْيَمِينِ مَآ أَصْحَٰ بُٱ لْيَمِي نِ ٢٧Waas-habu alyameeni maas-habu alyameen
And the People of the Right Hand—what are the People of the Right Hand?!Ali Quli Qarai
The companions of the right - what are the companions of the right?Saheeh International
-
56:28
فِى سِ
دْ رٍ ۢم َّخْضُو د ٍۢ ٢٨Fee sidrin makhdood
Amid thornless lote treesAli Quli Qarai
[They will be] among lote trees with thorns removedSaheeh International
-
56:29
وَطَلْ
حٍ ۢم َّنض ُو د ٍۢ ٢٩Watalhin mandood
and clustered spathesAli Quli Qarai
And [banana] trees layered [with fruit]Saheeh International
-
56:30
وَظِ
لٍّ ۢم َّمْدُو د ٍۢ ٣٠Wathillin mamdood
and extended shade,Ali Quli Qarai
And shade extendedSaheeh International
-
56:31
وَم
َا ٓءٍ ۢم َّسْكُو ب ٍۢ ٣١Wama-in maskoob
and ever-flowing waterAli Quli Qarai
And water poured outSaheeh International
-
56:32
وَفَ
ٰ كِهَةٍ ۢك َثِيرَةٍۢ ٣٢Wafakihatin katheera
and abundant fruits,Ali Quli Qarai
And fruit, abundant [and varied],Saheeh International
-
56:33
لَّا مَ
قْ طُوعَةٍ ۢو َلَا مَمْنُوعَةٍۢ ٣٣La maqtooAAatin walamamnooAAa
neither inaccessible, nor forbidden,Ali Quli Qarai
Neither limited [to season] nor forbidden,Saheeh International
-
56:34
وَفُرُ
شٍ ۢم َّرْفُوعَةٍ ٣٤Wafurushin marfooAAa
and noble spouses.Ali Quli Qarai
And [upon] beds raised high.Saheeh International
-
56:35
إِ
نّ َآ أَنش َأْنَٰ هُنّ َ إِنش َا ٓءًۭ ٣٥Inna ansha/nahunna inshaa
We have created them with a special creation,Ali Quli Qarai
Indeed, We have produced them [i.e., the women of Paradise] in a [new] creationSaheeh International
-
56:36
فَجَعَلْنَ
ٰ هُنّ َ أَبْ كَارًا ٣٦FajaAAalnahunna abkara
and made them virgins,Ali Quli Qarai
And made them virgins,Saheeh International
-
56:37
عُرُبًا أَتْرَابًۭا ٣٧
AAuruban atraba
loving, of a like age,Ali Quli Qarai
Devoted [to their husbands] and of equal age,Saheeh International
-
56:38
لِّأَصْحَ
ٰ بِٱ لْيَمِي نِ ٣٨Li-as-habi alyameen
for the People of the Right Hand.Ali Quli Qarai
For the companions of the right [who are]Saheeh International
-
56:39
ثُلَّ
ةٌ ۭم ِّنَٱ لْأَوَّلِي نَ ٣٩Thullatun mina al-awwaleen
A multitude from the former [generations]Ali Quli Qarai
A company of the former peoplesSaheeh International
-
56:40
وَثُلَّ
ةٌ ۭم ِّنَٱ لَْٔاخِرِي نَ ٤٠Wathullatun mina al-akhireen
and a multitude from the latter [ones].Ali Quli Qarai
And a company of the later peoples.Saheeh International
-
56:41
وَأَصْحَ
ٰ بُٱ ل شِّمَالِ مَآ أَصْحَٰ بُٱ ل شِّمَا لِ ٤١Waas-habu ashshimalima as-habu ashshimal
And the People of the Left Hand—what are the People of the Left Hand?!Ali Quli Qarai
And the companions of the left - what are the companions of the left?Saheeh International
-
56:42
فِى سَمُو
مٍ ۢو َحَمِي مٍۢ ٤٢Fee samoomin wahameem
Amid infernal miasma and boiling waterAli Quli Qarai
[They will be] in scorching fire and scalding waterSaheeh International
-
56:43
وَظِ
لٍّ ۢم ِّن ي َحْمُو مٍۢ ٤٣Wathillin min yahmoom
and the shadow of a dense black smoke,Ali Quli Qarai
And a shade of black smoke,Saheeh International
-
56:44
لَّا بَارِ
دٍ ۢو َلَا كَرِي مٍ ٤٤La baridin wala kareem
neither cool nor beneficial.Ali Quli Qarai
Neither cool nor beneficial.Saheeh International
-
56:45
إِ
نّ َهُمْ كَانُوا۟ قَبْ لَ ذَٰ لِكَ مُتْرَفِي نَ ٤٥Innahum kanoo qabla thalikamutrafeen
Indeed they had been affluent before this,Ali Quli Qarai
Indeed they were, before that, indulging in affluence,Saheeh International
-
56:46
وَكَانُو
ا۟ يُصِرُّونَ عَلَىٱ لْحِنث ِٱ لْعَظِي مِ ٤٦Wakanoo yusirroona AAalaalhinthi alAAatheem
and they used to persist in the great sin.Ali Quli Qarai
And they used to persist in the great violation,Saheeh International
-
56:47
وَكَانُو
ا۟ يَقُولُونَ أَئِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنّ َا تُرَابً ۭا و َعِظَٰ مًا أَءِنّ َا لَمَبْ عُوثُو نَ ٤٧Wakanoo yaqooloona a-itha mitnawakunna turaban waAAithamana-inna lamabAAoothoon
And they used to say, ‘What! When we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we be resurrected?!Ali Quli Qarai
And they used to say, "When we die and become dust and bones, are we indeed to be resurrected?Saheeh International
-
56:48
أَوَءَاب
َا ٓؤُنَاٱ لْأَوَّلُو نَ ٤٨Awa abaona al-awwaloon
And our forefathers too?!’Ali Quli Qarai
And our forefathers [as well]?"Saheeh International
-
56:49
قُلْ إِ
نّ َٱ لْأَوَّلِينَ وَٱ لَْٔاخِرِي نَ ٤٩Qul inna al-awwaleena wal-akhireen
Say, ‘Indeed the former and latter generationsAli Quli Qarai
Say, [O Muḥammad], "Indeed, the former and later peoplesSaheeh International
-
56:50
لَمَ
جْ مُوعُونَ إِلَىٰ مِيقَٰ تِ يَوْمٍ ۢم َّعْلُو مٍۢ ٥٠LamajmooAAoona ila meeqatiyawmin maAAloom
will all be gathered for the tryst of a known day.Ali Quli Qarai
Are to be gathered together for the appointment of a known Day."Saheeh International
-
56:51
ثُ
مّ َ إِنّ َكُمْ أَيُّهَاٱ ل ضَّا ٓلُّونَٱ لْمُكَذِّبُو نَ ٥١Thumma innakum ayyuha addalloonaalmukaththiboon
Then indeed, you, astray deniers,Ali Quli Qarai
Then indeed you, O those astray [who are] deniers,Saheeh International
-
56:52
لََٔاكِلُونَ مِ
ن ش َجَرٍ ۢم ِّن ز َقُّو مٍۢ ٥٢Laakiloona min shajarin min zaqqoom
will surely eat from the Zaqqum treeAli Quli Qarai
Will be eating from trees of zaqqūmSaheeh International
-
56:53
فَمَالُِٔونَ مِنْهَا
ٱ لْبُطُو نَ ٥٣Famali-oona minha albutoon
and stuff your bellies with it,Ali Quli Qarai
And filling with it your belliesSaheeh International
-
56:54
فَشَ
ٰ رِبُونَ عَلَيْهِ مِنَٱ لْحَمِي مِ ٥٤Fashariboona AAalayhi mina alhameem
and drink boiling water on top of it,Ali Quli Qarai
And drinking on top of it from scalding waterSaheeh International
-
56:55
فَشَ
ٰ رِبُونَ شُرْبَٱ لْهِي مِ ٥٥Fashariboona shurba alheem
drinking like thirsty camels.’Ali Quli Qarai
And will drink as the drinking of thirsty camels.Saheeh International
-
56:56
هَ
ٰ ذَا نُزُلُهُمْ يَوْمَٱ ل دِّي نِ ٥٦Hatha nuzuluhum yawma addeen
Such will be the hospitality they receive on the Day of Retribution.Ali Quli Qarai
That is their accommodation on the Day of Recompense.Saheeh International
-
56:57
نَحْنُ خَلَ
قْ نَٰ كُمْ فَلَوْلَا تُصَدِّقُو نَ ٥٧Nahnu khalaqnakum falawlatusaddiqoon
We created you. Then why do you not acknowledge it?Ali Quli Qarai
We have created you, so why do you not believe?Saheeh International
-
56:58
أَفَرَءَيْت
ُم م َّا تُمْنُو نَ ٥٨Afaraaytum ma tumnoon
Have you considered the sperm that you emit?Ali Quli Qarai
Have you seen that which you emit?Saheeh International
-
56:59
ءَأَ
نت ُمْ تَخْلُقُونَهُۥٓ أَمْ نَحْنُٱ لْخَٰ لِقُو نَ ٥٩Aantum takhluqoonahu am nahnu alkhaliqoon
Is it you who create it, or are We the creator?Ali Quli Qarai
Is it you who creates it, or are We the Creator?Saheeh International
-
56:60
نَحْنُ قَدَّرْنَا بَيْنَكُمُ
ٱ لْمَوْتَ وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمَسْبُوقِي نَ ٦٠Nahnu qaddarna baynakumualmawta wama nahnu bimasbooqeen
We have ordained death among you, and We are not to be outmaneuveredAli Quli Qarai
We have decreed death among you, and We are not to be outdoneSaheeh International
-
56:61
عَلَ
ىٰٓ أَن ن ُّبَدِّلَ أَمْثَٰ لَكُمْ وَنُنش ِئَكُمْ فِى مَا لَا تَعْلَمُو نَ ٦١AAala an nubaddila amthalakumwanunshi-akum fee ma la taAAlamoon
from replacing you with your likes and recreating you in [a realm] you do not know.Ali Quli Qarai
In that We will change your likenesses and produce you in that [form] which you do not know.Saheeh International
-
56:62
وَلَقَ
دْ عَلِمْتُمُٱ ل نّ َشْأَةَٱ لْأُولَىٰ فَلَوْلَا تَذَكَّرُو نَ ٦٢Walaqad AAalimtumu annash-ata al-oolafalawla tathakkaroon
Certainly you have known the first genesis, then why do you not take admonition?Ali Quli Qarai
And you have already known the first creation, so will you not remember?Saheeh International
-
56:63
أَفَرَءَيْت
ُم م َّا تَحْرُثُو نَ ٦٣Afaraaytum ma tahruthoon
Have you considered what you sow?Ali Quli Qarai
And have you seen that [seed] which you sow?Saheeh International
-
56:64
ءَأَ
نت ُمْ تَزْرَعُونَهُۥٓ أَمْ نَحْنُٱ ل زَّٰ رِعُو نَ ٦٤Aantum tazraAAoonahu am nahnu azzariAAoon
Is it you who make it grow, or are We the grower?Ali Quli Qarai
Is it you who makes it grow, or are We the grower?Saheeh International
-
56:65
لَوْ نَش
َا ٓءُ لَجَعَلْنَٰ هُ حُطَٰ مً ۭا ف َظَلْتُمْ تَفَكَّهُو نَ ٦٥Law nashao lajaAAalnahu hutamanfathaltum tafakkahoon
If We wish, We turn it into chaff, whereat you are left stunned [saying to yourselves,]Ali Quli Qarai
If We willed, We could make it [dry] debris, and you would remain in wonder,Saheeh International
-
56:66
إِ
نّ َا لَمُغْرَمُو نَ ٦٦Inna lamughramoon
‘Indeed we have suffered loss!Ali Quli Qarai
[Saying], "Indeed, we are [now] in debt;Saheeh International
-
56:67
بَلْ نَحْنُ مَحْرُوم
ُو نَ ٦٧Bal nahnu mahroomoon
No, we are deprived!’Ali Quli Qarai
Rather, we have been deprived."Saheeh International
-
56:68
أَفَرَءَيْتُمُ
ٱ لْمَا ٓءَٱ لَّذِى تَشْرَبُو نَ ٦٨Afaraaytumu almaa allatheetashraboon
Have you considered the water that you drink?Ali Quli Qarai
And have you seen the water that you drink?Saheeh International
-
56:69
ءَأَ
نت ُمْ أَنز َلْتُمُوهُ مِنَٱ لْمُزْنِ أَمْ نَحْنُٱ لْمُنز ِلُو نَ ٦٩Aantum anzaltumoohu mina almuzni am nahnualmunziloon
Is it you who bring it down from the rain cloud, or is it We who bring [it] down?Ali Quli Qarai
Is it you who brought it down from the clouds, or is it We who bring it down?Saheeh International
-
56:70
لَوْ نَش
َا ٓءُ جَعَلْنَٰ هُ أُجَاجً ۭا ف َلَوْلَا تَشْكُرُو نَ ٧٠Law nashao jaAAalnahu ojajanfalawla tashkuroon
If We wish We can make it bitter. Then why do you not give thanks?Ali Quli Qarai
If We willed, We could make it bitter, so why are you not grateful?Saheeh International
-
56:71
أَفَرَءَيْتُمُ
ٱ ل نّ َارَٱ لَّتِى تُورُو نَ ٧١Afaraaytumu annara allateetooroon
Have you considered the fire that you kindle?Ali Quli Qarai
And have you seen the fire that you ignite?Saheeh International
-
56:72
ءَأَ
نت ُمْ أَنش َأْتُمْ شَجَرَتَهَآ أَمْ نَحْنُٱ لْمُنش ُِٔو نَ ٧٢Aantum ansha/tum shajarataha am nahnualmunshi-oon
Was it you who caused its tree to grow, or were We the grower?Ali Quli Qarai
Is it you who produced its tree, or are We the producer?Saheeh International
-
56:73
نَحْنُ جَعَلْنَ
ٰ هَا تَذْكِرَةً ۭو َمَتَٰ عً ۭا ل ِّلْمُقْ وِي نَ ٧٣Nahnu jaAAalnaha tathkiratanwamataAAan lilmuqween
It was We who made it a reminder and a boon for the desert-dwellers.Ali Quli Qarai
We have made it a reminder and provision for the travelers,Saheeh International
-
56:74
فَسَبِّحْ بِ
ٱ سْمِ رَبِّكَٱ لْعَظِي مِ ٧٤Fasabbih bismi rabbika alAAatheem
So celebrate the Name of your Lord, the All-supreme.Ali Quli Qarai
So exalt the name of your Lord, the Most Great.Saheeh International
-
56:75
۞ فَل
َآ أُقْ سِمُ بِمَوَٰ قِعِٱ ل نّ ُجُو مِ ٧٥Fala oqsimu bimawaqiAAi annujoom
I swear by the places where the stars set!Ali Quli Qarai
Then I swear by the setting of the stars,Saheeh International
-
56:76
وَإِ
نّ َهُۥ لَقَسَمٌ ۭل َّوْ تَعْلَمُونَ عَظِي مٌ ٧٦Wa-innahu laqasamun law taAAlamoona AAatheem
And indeed it is a great oath, should you know.Ali Quli Qarai
And indeed, it is an oath - if you could know - [most] great.Saheeh International
-
56:77
إِ
نّ َهُۥ لَقُرْءَانٌ ۭك َرِي مٌۭ ٧٧Innahu laqur-anun kareem
This is indeed a noble Quran,Ali Quli Qarai
Indeed, it is a noble Qur’ān.Saheeh International
-
56:78
فِى كِتَ
ٰ بٍ ۢم َّكْنُو نٍۢ ٧٨Fee kitabin maknoon
in a guarded BookAli Quli Qarai
In a Register well-protected;.Saheeh International
-
56:79
لَّا يَمَسُّهُ
ۥٓ إِلَّاٱ لْمُطَهَّرُو نَ ٧٩La yamassuhu illa almutahharoon
—no one touches it except the pure ones—Ali Quli Qarai
None touch it except the purified [i.e., the angels].Saheeh International
-
56:80
تَ
نز ِيلٌ ۭم ِّن ر َّبِّٱ لْعَٰ لَمِي نَ ٨٠Tanzeelun min rabbi alAAalameen
sent down gradually from the Lord of all the worlds.Ali Quli Qarai
[It is] a revelation from the Lord of the worlds.Saheeh International
-
56:81
أَفَبِهَ
ٰ ذَاٱ لْحَدِيثِ أَنت ُم م ُّدْ هِنُو نَ ٨١Afabihatha alhadeethi antummudhinoon
What! Do you take lightly this discourse?Ali Quli Qarai
Then is it to this statement that you are indifferentSaheeh International
-
56:82
وَتَ
جْ عَلُونَ رِزْقَكُمْ أَنّ َكُمْ تُكَذِّبُو نَ ٨٢WatajAAaloona rizqakum annakum tukaththiboon
And make your denial of it your vocation?Ali Quli Qarai
And make [the thanks for] your provision that you deny [the Provider]?Saheeh International
-
56:83
فَلَوْل
َآ إِذَا بَلَغَتِٱ لْحُلْقُو مَ ٨٣Falawla itha balaghati alhulqoom
So when it reaches the throat [of the dying person],Ali Quli Qarai
Then why, when it [i.e., the soul at death] reaches the throatSaheeh International
-
56:84
وَأَ
نت ُمْ حِينَئِذٍ ۢت َنظ ُرُو نَ ٨٤Waantum heena-ithin tanthuroona
and at that moment you are looking on [at his bedside]Ali Quli Qarai
And you are at that time looking on -Saheeh International
-
56:85
وَنَحْنُ أَ
قْ رَبُ إِلَيْهِ مِنك ُمْ وَلَٰ كِن ل َّا تُبْ صِرُو نَ ٨٥Wanahnu aqrabu ilayhi minkum walakinla tubsiroon
—and We are nearer to him than you are, though you do not perceive—Ali Quli Qarai
And We [i.e., Our angels] are nearer to him than you, but you do not see -Saheeh International
-
56:86
فَلَوْل
َآ إِن ك ُنت ُمْ غَيْرَ مَدِينِي نَ ٨٦Falawla in kuntum ghayra madeeneen
then why do you not restore it, if you are not subjectAli Quli Qarai
Then why do you not, if you are not to be recompensed,Saheeh International
-
56:87
تَرْجِعُونَه
َآ إِن ك ُنت ُمْ صَٰ دِقِي نَ ٨٧TarjiAAoonaha in kuntum sadiqeen
[to Divine dispensation], if you are truthful?Ali Quli Qarai
Bring it back, if you should be truthful?Saheeh International
-
56:88
فَأَ
مّ َآ إِن ك َانَ مِنَٱ لْمُقَرَّبِي نَ ٨٨Faamma in kana minaalmuqarrabeen
Then, if he be of those brought near,Ali Quli Qarai
And if he [i.e., the deceased] was of those brought near [to Allāh],Saheeh International
-
56:89
فَرَوْ
حٌ ۭو َرَيْحَانٌ ۭو َجَنّ َتُ نَعِي مٍۢ ٨٩Farawhun warayhanun wajannatunaAAeem
then ease, abundance, and a garden of bliss.Ali Quli Qarai
Then [for him is] rest and bounty and a garden of pleasure.Saheeh International
-
56:90
وَأَ
مّ َآ إِن ك َانَ مِنْ أَصْحَٰ بِٱ لْيَمِي نِ ٩٠Waamma in kana min as-habialyameen
And if he be of the People of the Right Hand,Ali Quli Qarai
And if he was of the companions of the right,Saheeh International
-
56:91
فَسَلَ
ٰ مٌ ۭل َّكَ مِنْ أَصْحَٰ بِٱ لْيَمِي نِ ٩١Fasalamun laka min as-habialyameen
then [he will be told,] ‘Peace be on you, from the People of the Right Hand!’Ali Quli Qarai
Then [the angels will say], "Peace for you; [you are] from the companions of the right."Saheeh International
-
56:92
وَأَ
مّ َآ إِن ك َانَ مِنَٱ لْمُكَذِّبِينَٱ ل ضَّا ٓلِّي نَ ٩٢Waamma in kana mina almukaththibeenaaddalleen
But if he be of the impugners, the astray ones,Ali Quli Qarai
But if he was of the deniers [who were] astray,Saheeh International
-
56:93
فَنُزُ
لٌ ۭم ِّنْ حَمِي مٍۢ ٩٣Fanuzulun min hameem
then a treat of boiling waterAli Quli Qarai
Then [for him is] accommodation of scalding waterSaheeh International
-
56:94
وَتَصْلِيَةُ جَح
ِي مٍ ٩٤Watasliyatu jaheem
and entry into hell.Ali Quli Qarai
And burning in Hellfire.Saheeh International
-
56:95
إِ
نّ َ هَٰ ذَا لَهُوَ حَقُّٱ لْيَقِي نِ ٩٥Inna hatha lahuwa haqqualyaqeen
Indeed this is certain truth.Ali Quli Qarai
Indeed, this is the true certainty,Saheeh International
-
56:96
فَسَبِّحْ بِ
ٱ سْمِ رَبِّكَٱ لْعَظِي مِ ٩٦Fasabbih bismi rabbika alAAatheem
So celebrate the Name of your Lord, the All-supreme!Ali Quli Qarai
So exalt the name of your Lord, the Most Great.Saheeh International
