بِسْمِ
-
77:1
وَ
ٱ لْمُرْسَلَٰ تِ عُرْفًۭا ١Walmursalati AAurfa
By the [angelic] emissaries sent successively,Ali Quli Qarai
By those [winds] sent forth in gustsSaheeh International
-
77:2
فَ
ٱ لْعَٰ صِفَٰ تِ عَصْفًۭا ٢FalAAasifati AAasfa
by those who sweep along like gale,Ali Quli Qarai
And the winds that blow violentlySaheeh International
-
77:3
وَ
ٱ ل نّ َٰ شِرَٰ تِ نَشْرًۭا ٣Wannashirati nashra
by those who publish [the Divine messages] far and wide,Ali Quli Qarai
And [by] the winds that spread [clouds]Saheeh International
-
77:4
فَ
ٱ لْفَٰ رِقَٰ تِ فَرْقًۭا ٤Falfariqati farqa
by those who separate [the truth from falsehood] distinctly,Ali Quli Qarai
And those [angels] who bring criterionSaheeh International
-
77:5
فَ
ٱ لْمُلْقِيَٰ تِ ذِكْرًا ٥Falmulqiyati thikra
by those who inspire [God’s] remembrance,Ali Quli Qarai
And those [angels] who deliver a messageSaheeh International
-
77:6
عُذْرًا أَوْ نُذْرًا ٦
AAuthran aw nuthra
as exemption or warning:Ali Quli Qarai
As justification or warning,Saheeh International
-
77:7
إِ
نّ َمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَوَٰ قِعٌۭ ٧Innama tooAAadoona lawaqiAA
what you are promised will surely befall.Ali Quli Qarai
Indeed, what you are promised is to occur.Saheeh International
-
77:8
فَإِذَا
ٱ ل نّ ُجُومُ طُمِسَتْ ٨Fa-itha annujoomu tumisat
When the stars are blotted outAli Quli Qarai
So when the stars are obliteratedSaheeh International
-
77:9
وَإِذَا
ٱ ل سَّمَا ٓءُ فُرِجَتْ ٩Wa-itha assamao furijat
and the sky is cleft,Ali Quli Qarai
And when the heaven is openedSaheeh International
-
77:10
وَإِذَا
ٱ لْجِبَالُ نُسِفَتْ ١٠Wa-itha aljibalu nusifat
when the mountains are scattered [like dust]Ali Quli Qarai
And when the mountains are blown awaySaheeh International
-
77:11
وَإِذَا
ٱ ل رُّسُلُ أُقِّتَتْ ١١Wa-itha arrusulu oqqitat
and time is set for the apostles [to bear witness]Ali Quli Qarai
And when the messengers' time has come...Saheeh International
-
77:12
لِأَىِّ يَوْمٍ أُجِّلَتْ ١٢
Li-ayyi yawmin ojjilat
—for what day has [all] that been set [to occur]?Ali Quli Qarai
For what Day was it postponed?Saheeh International
-
77:13
لِيَوْمِ
ٱ لْفَصْلِ ١٣Liyawmi alfasl
For the Day of Judgement!Ali Quli Qarai
For the Day of Judgement.Saheeh International
-
77:14
وَم
َآ أَدْ رَىٰ كَ مَا يَوْمُٱ لْفَصْلِ ١٤Wama adraka ma yawmualfasl
And what will show you what is the Day of Judgement!?Ali Quli Qarai
And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement?Saheeh International
-
77:15
وَيْ
لٌ ۭي َوْمَئِذٍ ۢل ِّلْمُكَذِّبِي نَ ١٥Waylun yawma-ithin lilmukaththibeen
Woe to the deniers on that day!Ali Quli Qarai
Woe, that Day, to the deniers.Saheeh International
-
77:16
أَلَمْ نُهْلِكِ
ٱ لْأَوَّلِي نَ ١٦Alam nuhliki al-awwaleen
Did We not destroy the former generations,Ali Quli Qarai
Did We not destroy the former peoples?Saheeh International
-
77:17
ثُ
مّ َ نُتْبِعُهُمُٱ لَْٔاخِرِي نَ ١٧Thumma nutbiAAuhumu al-akhireen
[and] then made the latter ones follow them?Ali Quli Qarai
Then We will follow them with the later ones.Saheeh International
-
77:18
كَذَ
ٰ لِكَ نَفْعَلُ بِٱ لْمُجْ رِمِي نَ ١٨Kathalika nafAAalu bilmujrimeen
That is how We deal with the guilty.Ali Quli Qarai
Thus do We deal with the criminals.Saheeh International
-
77:19
وَيْ
لٌ ۭي َوْمَئِذٍ ۢل ِّلْمُكَذِّبِي نَ ١٩Waylun yawma-ithin lilmukaththibeen
Woe to the deniers on that day!Ali Quli Qarai
Woe, that Day, to the deniers.Saheeh International
-
77:20
أَلَمْ نَخْلُ
ق كُّم م ِّن م َّا ٓءٍ ۢم َّهِي نٍۢ ٢٠Alam nakhluqkum min ma-in maheen
Have We not created you from a base fluid,Ali Quli Qarai
Did We not create you from a liquid disdained?Saheeh International
-
77:21
فَجَعَلْنَ
ٰ هُ فِى قَرَارٍ ۢم َّكِي نٍ ٢١FajaAAalnahu fee qararinmakeen
[and] then lodged it in a secure abodeAli Quli Qarai
And We placed it in a firm lodging [i.e., the womb]Saheeh International
-
77:22
إِلَىٰ قَدَ
رٍ ۢم َّعْلُو مٍۢ ٢٢Ila qadarin maAAloom
until a known span [of time]?Ali Quli Qarai
For a known extent.Saheeh International
-
77:23
فَقَدَرْنَا فَنِعْمَ
ٱ لْقَٰ دِرُو نَ ٢٣Faqadarna faniAAma alqadiroon
Then We determined; and how excellent determiners We are!Ali Quli Qarai
And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine.Saheeh International
-
77:24
وَيْ
لٌ ۭي َوْمَئِذٍ ۢل ِّلْمُكَذِّبِي نَ ٢٤Waylun yawma-ithin lilmukaththibeen
Woe to the deniers on that day!Ali Quli Qarai
Woe, that Day, to the deniers.Saheeh International
-
77:25
أَلَمْ نَ
جْ عَلِٱ لْأَرْضَ كِفَاتًا ٢٥Alam najAAali al-arda kifata
Have We not made the earth a receptacleAli Quli Qarai
Have We not made the earth a containerSaheeh International
-
77:26
أَحْي
َا ٓءً ۭو َأَمْوَٰ تًۭا ٢٦Ahyaan waamwata
for the living and the dead,Ali Quli Qarai
Of the living and the dead?Saheeh International
-
77:27
وَجَعَلْنَا فِيهَا رَوَ
ٰ سِىَ شَٰ مِخَٰ تٍ ۢو َأَسْقَيْنَٰ كُم م َّا ٓءً ۭف ُرَاتًۭا ٢٧WajaAAalna feeha rawasiyashamikhatin waasqaynakum maan furata
and set in it lofty [and] firm mountains, and given you agreeable water to drink?Ali Quli Qarai
And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water.Saheeh International
-
77:28
وَيْ
لٌ ۭي َوْمَئِذٍ ۢل ِّلْمُكَذِّبِي نَ ٢٨Waylun yawma-ithin lilmukaththibeen
Woe to the deniers on that day!Ali Quli Qarai
Woe, that Day, to the deniers.Saheeh International
-
77:29
ٱ
نط َلِقُوٓ ا۟ إِلَىٰ مَا كُنت ُم ب ِهِۦ تُكَذِّبُو نَ ٢٩Intaliqoo ila ma kuntumbihi tukaththiboon
[The faithless will be told:] ‘Proceed toward what you used to deny!Ali Quli Qarai
[They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny.Saheeh International
-
77:30
ٱ
نط َلِقُوٓ ا۟ إِلَىٰ ظِلٍّ ۢذ ِى ثَلَٰ ثِ شُعَب ٍۢ ٣٠Intaliqoo ila thillinthee thalathi shuAAab
Proceed toward the triple-forked shadow,Ali Quli Qarai
Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columnsSaheeh International
-
77:31
لَّا ظَلِي
لٍ ۢو َلَا يُغْنِى مِنَٱ ل لَّهَب ِ ٣١La thaleelin walayughnee mina allahab
neither shady nor of any avail against the flames.Ali Quli Qarai
[But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame."Saheeh International
-
77:32
إِ
نّ َهَا تَرْمِى بِشَرَرٍ ۢك َٱ لْقَصْرِ ٣٢Innaha tarmee bishararin kalqasr
Indeed it throws up [giant] sparks like castles,Ali Quli Qarai
Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress,Saheeh International
-
77:33
كَأَ
نّ َهُۥ جِمَٰ لَتٌ ۭص ُفْرٌۭ ٣٣Kaannahu jimalatun sufr
[bright] like yellow camels.Ali Quli Qarai
As if they were yellowish [black] camels.Saheeh International
-
77:34
وَيْ
لٌ ۭي َوْمَئِذٍ ۢل ِّلْمُكَذِّبِي نَ ٣٤Waylun yawma-ithin lilmukaththibeen
Woe to the deniers on that day!Ali Quli Qarai
Woe, that Day, to the deniers.Saheeh International
-
77:35
هَ
ٰ ذَا يَوْمُ لَا يَنط ِقُو نَ ٣٥Hatha yawmu la yantiqoon
This is a day wherein they will not speak,Ali Quli Qarai
This is a Day they will not speak,Saheeh International
-
77:36
وَلَا يُؤْذَنُ لَهُمْ فَيَعْتَذِر
ُو نَ ٣٦Wala yu/thanu lahum fayaAAtathiroon
nor will they be permitted to offer excuses.Ali Quli Qarai
Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse.Saheeh International
-
77:37
وَيْ
لٌ ۭي َوْمَئِذٍ ۢل ِّلْمُكَذِّبِي نَ ٣٧Waylun yawma-ithin lilmukaththibeen
Woe to the deniers on that day!Ali Quli Qarai
Woe, that Day, to the deniers.Saheeh International
-
77:38
هَ
ٰ ذَا يَوْمُٱ لْفَصْلِ ۖ جَمَعْنَٰ كُمْ وَٱ لْأَوَّلِي نَ ٣٨Hatha yawmu alfasli jamaAAnakumwal-awwaleen
‘This is the Day of Judgement. We have brought you together with the former generations.Ali Quli Qarai
This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples.Saheeh International
-
77:39
فَإِ
ن ك َانَ لَكُمْ كَيْدٌ ۭف َكِيدُو نِ ٣٩Fa-in kana lakum kaydun fakeedoon
If you have any stratagems [left], try them out against Me!’Ali Quli Qarai
So if you have a plan, then plan against Me.Saheeh International
-
77:40
وَيْ
لٌ ۭي َوْمَئِذٍ ۢل ِّلْمُكَذِّبِي نَ ٤٠Waylun yawma-ithin lilmukaththibeen
Woe to the deniers on that day!Ali Quli Qarai
Woe, that Day, to the deniers.Saheeh International
-
77:41
إِ
نّ َٱ لْمُتَّقِينَ فِى ظِلَٰ لٍ ۢو َعُيُو نٍۢ ٤١Inna almuttaqeena fee thilalinwaAAuyoon
Indeed the Godwary will be amid shades and springsAli Quli Qarai
Indeed, the righteous will be among shades and springsSaheeh International
-
77:42
وَفَوَ
ٰ كِهَ مِمّ َا يَشْتَهُو نَ ٤٢Wafawakiha mimma yashtahoon
and [enjoying] such fruits as they desire.Ali Quli Qarai
And fruits from whatever they desire,Saheeh International
-
77:43
كُلُو
ا۟ وَٱ شْرَبُوا۟ هَنِيٓ ًٔۢا ب ِمَا كُنت ُمْ تَعْمَلُو نَ ٤٣Kuloo washraboo hanee-an bimakuntum taAAmaloon
[They will be told:] ‘Enjoy your food and drink, [a reward] for what you used to do.Ali Quli Qarai
[Being told], "Eat and drink in satisfaction for what you used to do."Saheeh International
-
77:44
إِ
نّ َا كَذَٰ لِكَ نَجْ زِىٱ لْمُحْسِنِي نَ ٤٤Inna kathalika najzee almuhsineen
Thus do We reward the virtuous.’Ali Quli Qarai
Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good.Saheeh International
-
77:45
وَيْ
لٌ ۭي َوْمَئِذٍ ۢل ِّلْمُكَذِّبِي نَ ٤٥Waylun yawma-ithin lilmukaththibeen
Woe to the deniers on that day!Ali Quli Qarai
Woe, that Day, to the deniers.Saheeh International
-
77:46
كُلُو
ا۟ وَتَمَتَّعُوا۟ قَلِيلًا إِنّ َكُم م ُّجْ رِمُو نَ ٤٦Kuloo watamattaAAoo qaleelan innakummujrimoon
‘Eat and enjoy a little! You are indeed guilty.’Ali Quli Qarai
[O disbelievers], eat and enjoy yourselves a little; indeed, you are criminals.Saheeh International
-
77:47
وَيْ
لٌ ۭي َوْمَئِذٍ ۢل ِّلْمُكَذِّبِي نَ ٤٧Waylun yawma-ithin lilmukaththibeen
Woe to the deniers on that day!Ali Quli Qarai
Woe, that Day, to the deniers.Saheeh International
-
77:48
وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ
ٱ رْكَعُوا۟ لَا يَرْكَعُو نَ ٤٨Wa-itha qeela lahumu irkaAAoo layarkaAAoon
When they are told, ‘Bow down [in prayer],’ they do not bow down!Ali Quli Qarai
And when it is said to them, "Bow [in prayer]," they do not bow.Saheeh International
-
77:49
وَيْ
لٌ ۭي َوْمَئِذٍ ۢل ِّلْمُكَذِّبِي نَ ٤٩Waylun yawma-ithin lilmukaththibeen
Woe to the deniers on that day!Ali Quli Qarai
Woe, that Day, to the deniers.Saheeh International
-
77:50
فَبِأَىِّ حَدِي
ثٍۭ ب َعْدَهُۥ يُؤْمِنُو نَ ٥٠Fabi-ayyi hadeethin baAAdahuyu/minoon
So what discourse will they believe after this?Ali Quli Qarai
Then in what statement after it [i.e., the Qur’ān] will they believe?Saheeh International
