Surah 93 of 114

الضحى

Ad-Duhaa · The Morning Hours

11 verses · Revealed in Makkah

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

1. 93:1

   وَٱلضُّحَىٰ ۝١

   QaraiBy the morning brightness,

2. 93:2

   وَٱلَّيْلِ إِذَا سَجَىٰ ۝٢

   Qaraiand by the night when it is calm!

3. 93:3

   مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلَىٰ ۝٣

   QaraiYour Lord has neither forsaken you, nor is He displeased with you,

4. 93:4

   وَلَلَْٔاخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ لَّكَ مِنَ ٱلْأُولَىٰ ۝٤

   Qaraiand the Hereafter shall be better for you than the world.

5. 93:5

   وَلَسَوْفَ يُعْطِيكَ رَبُّكَ فَتَرْضَىٰٓ ۝٥

   QaraiSoon your Lord will give you [that with which] you will be pleased.

6. 93:6

   أَلَمْ يَجِدْكَ يَتِيمًا فََٔاوَىٰ ۝٦

   QaraiDid He not find you an orphan, and shelter you?

7. 93:7

   وَوَجَدَكَ ضَآلًّا فَهَدَىٰ ۝٧

   QaraiDid He not find you astray, and guide you?

8. 93:8

   وَوَجَدَكَ عَآئِلًا فَأَغْنَىٰ ۝٨

   QaraiDid He not find you needy, and enrich you?

9. 93:9

   فَأَمَّا ٱلْيَتِيمَ فَلَا تَقْهَرْ ۝٩

   QaraiSo, as for the orphan, do not oppress him;

10. 93:10

    وَأَمَّا ٱلسَّآئِلَ فَلَا تَنْهَرْ ۝١٠

    Qaraiand as for the beggar, do not chide him;

11. 93:11

    وَأَمَّا بِنِعْمَةِ رَبِّكَ فَحَدِّثْ ۝١١

    Qaraiand as for your Lord’s blessing, proclaim it!
