بِسْمِ
-
98:1
لَمْ يَكُنِ
ٱ لَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِنْ أَهْلِٱ لْكِتَٰ بِ وَٱ لْمُشْرِكِينَ مُنف َكِّينَ حَتَّىٰ تَأْتِيَهُمُٱ لْبَيِّنَةُ ١Lam yakuni allatheena kafaroo min ahlialkitabi walmushrikeena munfakkeena hattata/tiyahumu albayyina
The faithless from among the People of the Book and the polytheists were not set apart [from the community of the faithful] until the proof had come to them:Ali Quli Qarai
Those who disbelieved among the People of the Scripture and the polytheists were not to be parted [from misbelief] until there came to them clear evidence –Saheeh International

98:2
رَسُو
لٌ ۭم ِّنَٱ للَّهِ يَتْلُوا۟ صُحُفً ۭا م ُّطَهَّرَةًۭ ٢Rasoolun mina Allahi yatloo suhufanmutahhara
an apostle from Allah reciting impeccable scriptures,Ali Quli Qarai
A Messenger from Allāh, reciting purified scripturesSaheeh International
-
98:3
فِيهَا كُتُ
بٌ ۭق َيِّمَةٌۭ ٣Feeha kutubun qayyima
wherein are upright writings.Ali Quli Qarai
Within which are correct writings [i.e., rulings and laws].Saheeh International

98:4
وَمَا تَفَرَّقَ
ٱ لَّذِينَ أُوتُوا۟ ٱ لْكِتَٰ بَ إِلَّا مِنۢ ب َعْدِ مَا جَا ٓءَتْهُمُٱ لْبَيِّنَةُ ٤Wama tafarraqa allatheena ootooalkitaba illa min baAAdi ma jaat-humualbayyina
Those who were given the Book did not divide except after the proof had come to them.Ali Quli Qarai
Nor did those who were given the Scripture become divided until after there had come to them clear evidence.Saheeh International

98:5
وَم
َآ أُمِرُوٓ ا۟ إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُوا۟ ٱ للَّهَ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُٱ ل دِّينَ حُنَفَا ٓءَ وَيُقِيمُوا۟ ٱ ل صَّلَو ٰ ةَ وَيُؤْتُوا۟ ٱ ل زَّكَو ٰ ةَ ۚ وَذَٰ لِكَ دِينُٱ لْقَيِّمَةِ ٥Wama omiroo illa liyaAAbudooAllaha mukhliseena lahu addeena hunafaawayuqeemoo assalata wayu/too azzakatawathalika deenu alqayyima
Though they were not commanded except to worship Allah, dedicating their faith to Him as men of pure faith, and to maintain the prayer and pay the zakat. That is the upright religion.Ali Quli Qarai
And they were not commanded except to worship Allāh, [being] sincere to Him in religion, inclining to truth, and to establish prayer and to give zakāh. And that is the correct religion.Saheeh International

98:6
إِ
نّ َٱ لَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِنْ أَهْلِٱ لْكِتَٰ بِ وَٱ لْمُشْرِكِينَ فِى نَارِ جَهَنّ َمَ خَٰ لِدِينَ فِيهَآ ۚ أُو۟ لَٰٓ ئِكَ هُمْ شَرُّٱ لْبَرِيَّةِ ٦Inna allatheena kafaroo min ahli alkitabiwalmushrikeena fee nari jahannama khalideenafeeha ola-ika hum sharru albariyya
Indeed the faithless from among the People of the Book and the polytheists will be in the fire of hell, to remain in it [forever]. It is they who are the worst of creatures.Ali Quli Qarai
Indeed, they who disbelieved among the People of the Scripture and the polytheists will be in the fire of Hell, abiding eternally therein. Those are the worst of creatures.Saheeh International

98:7
إِ
نّ َٱ لَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱ ل صَّٰ لِحَٰ تِ أُو۟ لَٰٓ ئِكَ هُمْ خَيْرُٱ لْبَرِيَّةِ ٧Inna allatheena amanoowaAAamiloo assalihati ola-ika humkhayru albariyya
Indeed those who have faith and do righteous deeds—it is they who are the best of creatures.Ali Quli Qarai
Indeed, they who have believed and done righteous deeds - those are the best of creatures.Saheeh International

98:8
جَز
َا ٓؤُهُمْ عِند َ رَبِّهِمْ جَنّ َٰ تُ عَدْ نٍ ۢت َجْ رِى مِن ت َحْتِهَاٱ لْأَنْهَٰ رُ خَٰ لِدِينَ فِيهَآ أَبَدً ۭا ۖ ر َّضِىَٱ للَّهُ عَنْهُمْ وَرَضُوا۟ عَنْهُ ۚ ذَٰ لِكَ لِمَنْ خَشِىَ رَبَّهُۥ ٨Jazaohum AAinda rabbihim jannatuAAadnin tajree min tahtiha al-anharu khalideenafeeha abadan radiya Allahu AAanhum waradooAAanhu thalika liman khashiya rabbah
Their reward, near their Lord, is the Gardens of Eden, with streams running in them, to remain in them forever. Allah is pleased with them, and they are pleased with Him. That is for those who fear their Lord.Ali Quli Qarai
Their reward with their Lord will be gardens of perpetual residence beneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide forever, Allāh being pleased with them and they with Him. That is for whoever has feared his Lord.Saheeh International
