بِسْمِ

50:1
قٓ ۚ وَٱ لْقُرْءَانِٱ لْمَجِي د ِ ١Qaf walqur-ani almajeed
Qaf. By the glorious Quran.Ali Quli Qarai
Qāf. By the honored Qur’ān...Saheeh International

50:2
بَلْ عَجِب
ُوٓ ا۟ أَن ج َا ٓءَهُم م ُّنذ ِرٌ ۭم ِّنْهُمْ فَقَالَٱ لْكَٰ فِرُونَ هَٰ ذَا شَىْءٌ عَجِي ب ٌ ٢Bal AAajiboo an jaahum munthirunminhum faqala alkafiroona hatha shay-onAAajeeb
Indeed they consider it odd that a warner from among themselves should have come to them. So the faithless say, ‘This is an odd thing.’Ali Quli Qarai
But they wonder that there has come to them a warner from among themselves, and the disbelievers say, "This is an amazing thing.Saheeh International

50:3
أَءِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُ
نّ َا تُرَابً ۭا ۖ ذ َٰ لِكَ رَجْ عٌۢ ب َعِي د ٌۭ ٣A-itha mitna wakunna turabanthalika rajAAun baAAeed
‘What! When we are dead and have become dust, [shall we be raised again]? That is a far-fetched return!’Ali Quli Qarai
When we have died and have become dust, [we will return to life]? That is a distant [i.e., unlikely] return."Saheeh International

50:4
قَ
دْ عَلِمْنَا مَا تَنق ُصُٱ لْأَرْضُ مِنْهُمْ ۖ وَعِند َنَا كِتَٰ بٌ حَفِي ظٌۢ ٤Qad AAalimna ma tanqusual-ardu minhum waAAindana kitabun hafeeth
We know what the earth diminishes from them, and with Us is a preserving Book.Ali Quli Qarai
We know what the earth diminishes [i.e., consumes] of them, and with Us is a retaining record.Saheeh International

50:5
بَلْ كَذَّبُو
ا۟ بِٱ لْحَقِّ لَمّ َا جَا ٓءَهُمْ فَهُمْ فِىٓ أَمْرٍ ۢم َّرِي ج ٍ ٥Bal kaththaboo bilhaqqilamma jaahum fahum fee amrin mareej
Indeed, they denied the truth when it came to them; so they are now in a perplexed state of affairs.Ali Quli Qarai
But they denied the truth when it came to them, so they are in a confused condition.Saheeh International

50:6
أَفَلَمْ يَ
نظ ُرُوٓ ا۟ إِلَىٱ ل سَّمَا ٓءِ فَوْقَهُمْ كَيْفَ بَنَيْنَٰ هَا وَزَيَّنّ َٰ هَا وَمَا لَهَا مِن ف ُرُو ج ٍۢ ٦Afalam yanthuroo ila assama-ifawqahum kayfa banaynaha wazayyannahawama laha min furooj
Have they not, then, observed the heaven above them, how We have built it and adorned it, and that there are no cracks in it?Ali Quli Qarai
Have they not looked at the heaven above them - how We structured it and adorned it and [how] it has no rifts?Saheeh International

50:7
وَ
ٱ لْأَرْضَ مَدَدْ نَٰ هَا وَأَلْقَيْنَا فِيهَا رَوَٰ سِىَ وَأَنۢب َتْنَا فِيهَا مِن ك ُلِّ زَوْجٍۭ ب َهِي ج ٍۢ ٧Wal-arda madadnahawaalqayna feeha rawasiya waanbatnafeeha min kulli zawjin baheej
And We spread out the earth, and cast in it firm mountains, and caused every delightful kind [of vegetation] to grow in it.Ali Quli Qarai
And the earth - We spread it out and cast therein firmly set mountains and made grow therein [something] of every beautiful kind,Saheeh International

50:8
تَ
بْ صِرَةً ۭو َذِكْرَىٰ لِكُلِّ عَبْ دٍ ۢم ُّنِي ب ٍۢ ٨Tabsiratan wathikralikulli AAabdin muneeb
[In this there is] an insight and admonition for every penitent servant.Ali Quli Qarai
Giving insight and a reminder for every servant who turns [to Allāh].Saheeh International

50:9
وَنَزَّلْنَا مِنَ
ٱ ل سَّمَا ٓءِ مَا ٓءً ۭم ُّبَٰ رَكً ۭا ف َأَنۢب َتْنَا بِهِۦ جَنّ َٰ تٍ ۢو َحَبَّٱ لْحَصِي د ِ ٩Wanazzalna mina assama-imaan mubarakan faanbatna bihi jannatinwahabba alhaseed
We send down from the sky salubrious water, with which We grow gardens and the grain which is harvested,Ali Quli Qarai
And We have sent down blessed rain from the sky and made grow thereby gardens and grain from the harvestSaheeh International

50:10
وَ
ٱ ل نّ َخْلَ بَاسِقَٰ تٍ ۢل َّهَا طَلْعٌ ۭن َّضِي د ٌۭ ١٠Wannakhla basiqatinlaha talAAun nadeed
and tall date palms with regularly set spathes,Ali Quli Qarai
And lofty palm trees having fruit arranged in layers -Saheeh International

50:11
رِّزْ
قً ۭا ل ِّلْعِبَادِ ۖ وَأَحْيَيْنَا بِهِۦ بَلْدَةً ۭم َّيْتً ۭا ۚ ك َذَٰ لِكَٱ لْخُرُو ج ُ ١١Rizqan lilAAibadi waahyaynabihi baldatan maytan kathalika alkhurooj
as a provision for Our servants, and with it We revive a dead country. Likewise will be the rising [from the dead].Ali Quli Qarai
As provision for the servants, and We have given life thereby to a dead land. Thus is the emergence [i.e., resurrection].Saheeh International

50:12
كَذَّبَتْ قَ
بْ لَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ ۢو َأَصْحَٰ بُٱ ل رَّسِّ وَثَمُو د ُ ١٢Kaththabat qablahum qawmu noohinwaas-habu arrassi wathamood
The people of Noah denied before them, and [so did] the people of Rass and Thamud,Ali Quli Qarai
The people of Noah denied before them, and the companions of the well and ThamūdSaheeh International
-
50:13
وَعَا
دٌ ۭو َفِرْعَوْنُ وَإِخْوَٰ نُ لُو ط ٍۢ ١٣WaAAadun wafirAAawnu wa-ikhwanuloot
and ‘Ad, Pharaoh, and the brethren of Lot,Ali Quli Qarai
And ʿAad and Pharaoh and the brothers [i.e., people] of LotSaheeh International
-
50:14
وَأَصْحَ
ٰ بُٱ لْأَيْكَةِ وَقَوْمُ تُبَّعٍ ۢۚ ك ُلٌّ ۭك َذَّبَٱ ل رُّسُلَ فَحَقَّ وَعِي د ِ ١٤Waas-habu al-aykati waqawmutubbaAAin kullun kaththaba arrusula fahaqqawaAAeed
and the inhabitants of Aykah and the people of Tubbac. Each [of them] impugned the apostles, and so My threat became due [against them].Ali Quli Qarai
And the companions of the thicket and the people of Tubbaʿ. All denied the messengers, so My threat was justly fulfilled.Saheeh International

50:15
أَفَعَيِينَا بِ
ٱ لْخَلْقِٱ لْأَوَّلِ ۚ بَلْ هُمْ فِى لَبْ سٍ ۢم ِّنْ خَلْقٍ ۢج َدِي د ٍۢ ١٥AfaAAayeena bilkhalqial-awwali bal hum fee labsin min khalqin jadeed
Have We been exhausted by the first creation? No, they are in doubt about a new creation.Ali Quli Qarai
Did We fail in the first creation? But they are in confusion over a new creation.Saheeh International

50:16
وَلَقَ
دْ خَلَقْ نَاٱ لْإِنس َٰ نَ وَنَعْلَمُ مَا تُوَسْوِسُ بِهِۦ نَفْسُهُۥ ۖ وَنَحْنُ أَقْ رَبُ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ حَبْ لِٱ لْوَرِي د ِ ١٦Walaqad khalaqna al-insanawanaAAlamu ma tuwaswisu bihi nafsuhu wanahnu aqrabuilayhi min habli alwareed
Certainly We have created man and We know to what his soul tempts him, and We are nearer to him than his jugular vein.Ali Quli Qarai
And We have already created man and know what his soul whispers to him, and We are closer to him than [his] jugular vein.Saheeh International

50:17
إِذْ يَتَلَقَّى
ٱ لْمُتَلَقِّيَانِ عَنِٱ لْيَمِينِ وَعَنِٱ ل شِّمَالِ قَعِي د ٌۭ ١٧Ith yatalaqqa almutalaqqiyaniAAani alyameeni waAAani ashshimali qaAAeed
When the twin recorders record [his deeds], seated on the right hand and on the left:Ali Quli Qarai
When the two receivers [i.e., recording angels] receive, seated on the right and on the left.Saheeh International

50:18
مَّا يَلْفِظُ مِ
ن ق َوْلٍ إِلَّا لَدَيْهِ رَقِيبٌ عَتِي د ٌۭ ١٨Ma yalfithu min qawlinilla ladayhi raqeebun AAateed
he says no word but that there is a ready observer beside him.Ali Quli Qarai
He [i.e., man] utters no word except that with him is an observer prepared [to record].Saheeh International

50:19
وَج
َا ٓءَتْ سَكْرَةُٱ لْمَوْتِ بِٱ لْحَقِّ ۖ ذَٰ لِكَ مَا كُنت َ مِنْهُ تَحِي د ُ ١٩Wajaat sakratu almawti bilhaqqithalika ma kunta minhu taheed
The throes of death bring the truth: ‘This is what you used to shun!’Ali Quli Qarai
And the intoxication of death will bring the truth; that is what you were trying to avoid.Saheeh International

50:20
وَنُفِخَ فِى
ٱ ل صُّورِ ۚ ذَٰ لِكَ يَوْمُٱ لْوَعِي د ِ ٢٠Wanufikha fee assoori thalikayawmu alwaAAeed
And the Trumpet will be blown: ‘This is the promised day.’Ali Quli Qarai
And the Horn will be blown. That is the Day of [carrying out] the threat.Saheeh International

50:21
وَج
َا ٓءَتْ كُلُّ نَفْسٍ ۢم َّعَهَا سَا ٓئِقٌ ۭو َشَهِي د ٌۭ ٢١Wajaat kullu nafsin maAAaha sa-iqunwashaheed
Every soul will come accompanied by [two angels], a driver, and a witness:Ali Quli Qarai
And every soul will come, with it a driver and a witness.Saheeh International

50:22
لَّقَ
دْ كُنت َ فِى غَفْلَةٍ ۢم ِّنْ هَٰ ذَا فَكَشَفْنَا عَنك َ غِطَا ٓءَكَ فَبَصَرُكَٱ لْيَوْمَ حَدِي د ٌۭ ٢٢Laqad kunta fee ghaflatin min hathafakashafna AAanka ghitaaka fabasarukaalyawma hadeed
[he will be told] ‘You were certainly oblivious of this. We have removed your veil from you, and so today your eyesight is acute.’Ali Quli Qarai
[It will be said], "You were certainly in unmindfulness of this, and We have removed from you your cover, so your sight, this Day, is sharp."Saheeh International

50:23
وَقَالَ قَرِينُهُ
ۥ هَٰ ذَا مَا لَدَىَّ عَتِي د ٌ ٢٣Waqala qareenuhu hatha maladayya AAateed
Then his companion [angel] will say, ‘This is what is ready with me [of his record of deeds].’Ali Quli Qarai
And his companion, [the angel], will say, "This [record] is what is with me, prepared."Saheeh International
-
50:24
أَلْقِيَا فِى جَهَ
نّ َمَ كُلَّ كَفَّارٍ عَنِي د ٍۢ ٢٤Alqiya fee jahannama kulla kaffarinAAaneed
[The two angels accompany him will be told,] ‘Cast every obdurate ingrate into hell,Ali Quli Qarai
[Allāh will say], "Throw into Hell every obstinate disbeliever,Saheeh International
-
50:25
مَّ
نّ َاعٍ ۢل ِّلْخَيْرِ مُعْتَدٍ ۢم ُّرِي ب ٍ ٢٥MannaAAin lilkhayri muAAtadin mureeb
[every] hinderer of good, transgressor, and skeptic,Ali Quli Qarai
Preventer of good, aggressor, and doubter,Saheeh International
-
50:26
ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَ مَعَ
ٱ للَّهِ إِلَٰ هًا ءَاخَرَ فَأَلْقِيَاهُ فِىٱ لْعَذَابِٱ ل شَّدِي د ِ ٢٦Allathee jaAAala maAAa Allahiilahan akhara faalqiyahu fee alAAathabiashshadeed
who had set up another god along with Allah and cast him into the severe punishment.’Ali Quli Qarai
Who made [as equal] with Allāh another deity; then throw him into the severe punishment."Saheeh International

50:27
۞ قَالَ قَرِينُهُ
ۥ رَبَّنَا مَآ أَطْ غَيْتُهُۥ وَلَٰ كِن ك َانَ فِى ضَلَٰ لٍۭ ب َعِي د ٍۢ ٢٧Qala qareenuhu rabbana maatghaytuhu walakin kana fee dalalinbaAAeed
His companion [devil] will say, ‘Our Lord! I did not incite him to rebel [against You], but he was [himself] in extreme error.’Ali Quli Qarai
His [devil] companion will say, "Our Lord, I did not make him transgress, but he [himself] was in extreme error."Saheeh International
-
50:28
قَالَ لَا تَخْتَصِمُو
ا۟ لَدَىَّ وَقَدْ قَدَّمْتُ إِلَيْكُم ب ِٱ لْوَعِي د ِ ٢٨Qala la takhtasimooladayya waqad qaddamtu ilaykum bilwaAAeed
He will say, ‘Do not wrangle in My presence, for I had already warned you in advance.Ali Quli Qarai
[Allāh] will say, "Do not dispute before Me, while I had already presented to you the threat [i.e., warning].Saheeh International
-
50:29
مَا يُبَدَّلُ
ٱ لْقَوْلُ لَدَىَّ وَمَآ أَنَا۠ بِظَلَّٰ مٍ ۢل ِّلْعَبِي د ِ ٢٩Ma yubaddalu alqawlu ladayya wamaana bithallamin lilAAabeed
The word [of judgement] is unalterable with Me, and I am not tyrannical to My servants.’Ali Quli Qarai
The word [i.e., decree] will not be changed with Me, and never will I be unjust to the servants."Saheeh International

50:30
يَوْمَ نَقُولُ لِجَهَ
نّ َمَ هَلِٱ مْتَلَأْتِ وَتَقُولُ هَلْ مِن م َّزِي د ٍۢ ٣٠Yawma naqoolu lijahannama hali imtala/tiwataqoolu hal min mazeed
The day when We shall say to hell, ‘Are you full?’ It will say, ‘Is there any more?’Ali Quli Qarai
On the Day We will say to Hell, "Have you been filled?" and it will say, "Are there some more,"Saheeh International
-
50:31
وَأُزْلِفَتِ
ٱ لْجَنّ َةُ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ غَيْرَ بَعِي د ٍ ٣١Waozlifati aljannatu lilmuttaqeena ghayrabaAAeed
And paradise will be brought near for the Godwary, it will not be distant [any more]:Ali Quli Qarai
And Paradise will be brought near to the righteous, not far,Saheeh International
-
50:32
هَ
ٰ ذَا مَا تُوعَدُونَ لِكُلِّ أَوَّابٍ حَفِي ظٍۢ ٣٢Hatha ma tooAAadoona likulliawwabin hafeeth
‘This is what you were promised. [It is] for every penitent and dutiful [servant]Ali Quli Qarai
[It will be said], "This is what you were promised - for every returner [to Allāh] and keeper [of His covenant].Saheeh International
-
50:33
مَّنْ خَشِىَ
ٱ ل رَّحْمَٰ نَ بِٱ لْغَيْبِ وَجَا ٓءَ بِقَلْبٍ ۢم ُّنِي ب ٍ ٣٣Man khashiya arrahmanabilghaybi wajaa biqalbin muneeb
who fears the All-beneficent in secret and comes with a penitent heart.Ali Quli Qarai
Who feared the Most Merciful in the unseen and came with a heart returning [in repentance].Saheeh International
-
50:34
ٱ
دْ خُلُوهَا بِسَلَٰ مٍ ۢۖ ذ َٰ لِكَ يَوْمُٱ لْخُلُو د ِ ٣٤Odkhulooha bisalamin thalikayawmu alkhulood
Enter it in peace! This is the day of immortality.’Ali Quli Qarai
Enter it in peace. This is the Day of Eternity."Saheeh International

50:35
لَه
ُم م َّا يَشَا ٓءُونَ فِيهَا وَلَدَيْنَا مَزِي د ٌۭ ٣٥Lahum ma yashaoona feehawaladayna mazeed
There they will have whatever they wish, and with Us there is yet more.Ali Quli Qarai
They will have whatever they wish therein, and with Us is more.Saheeh International
-
50:36
وَكَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَ
بْ لَهُم م ِّن ق َرْنٍ هُمْ أَشَدُّ مِنْهُم ب َطْ شً ۭا ف َنَقَّبُوا۟ فِىٱ لْبِلَٰ دِ هَلْ مِن م َّحِي صٍ ٣٦Wakam ahlakna qablahum min qarnin humashaddu minhum batshan fanaqqaboo fee albiladi halmin mahees
How many generations We have destroyed before them, who were stronger than these, insomuch that they ransacked the towns?! So, is there any escape [from Allah’s punishment]?Ali Quli Qarai
And how many a generation before them did We destroy who were greater than them in [striking] power and had explored throughout the lands. Is there any place of escape?Saheeh International

50:37
إِ
نّ َ فِى ذَٰ لِكَ لَذِكْرَىٰ لِمَن ك َانَ لَهُۥ قَلْبٌ أَوْ أَلْقَىٱ ل سَّمْعَ وَهُوَ شَهِي د ٌۭ ٣٧Inna fee thalika lathikraliman kana lahu qalbun aw alqa assamAAawahuwa shaheed
There is indeed an admonition in that for one who has a heart, or gives ear, being attentive.Ali Quli Qarai
Indeed in that is a reminder for whoever has a heart or who listens while he is present [in mind].Saheeh International

50:38
وَلَقَ
دْ خَلَقْ نَاٱ ل سَّمَٰ وَٰ تِ وَٱ لْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا فِى سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍ ۢو َمَا مَسَّنَا مِن ل ُّغُو ب ٍۢ ٣٨Walaqad khalaqna assamawatiwal-arda wama baynahuma fee sittatiayyamin wama massana min lughoob
Certainly We created the heavens and the earth, and whatever is between them, in six days, and any fatigue did not touch Us.Ali Quli Qarai
And We did certainly create the heavens and earth and what is between them in six days, and there touched Us no weariness.Saheeh International
-
50:39
فَ
ٱ صْبِرْ عَلَىٰ مَا يَقُولُونَ وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ قَبْ لَ طُلُوعِٱ ل شَّمْسِ وَقَبْ لَٱ لْغُرُو ب ِ ٣٩Fasbir AAala mayaqooloona wasabbih bihamdi rabbika qabla tulooAAiashshamsi waqabla alghuroob
So be patient at what they say, and celebrate the praise of your Lord before the rising of the sun and before the sunset,Ali Quli Qarai
So be patient, [O Muḥammad], over what they say and exalt [Allāh] with praise of your Lord before the rising of the sun and before its setting,Saheeh International
-
50:40
وَمِنَ
ٱ لَّيْلِ فَسَبِّحْهُ وَأَدْ بَٰ رَٱ ل سُّجُو د ِ ٤٠Wamina allayli fasabbihhu waadbaraassujood
and glorify Him through part of the night and after the prostrations.Ali Quli Qarai
And [in part] of the night exalt Him and after prostration [i.e., prayer].Saheeh International
-
50:41
وَ
ٱ سْتَمِعْ يَوْمَ يُنَادِٱ لْمُنَادِ مِن م َّكَانٍ ۢق َرِي ب ٍۢ ٤١WastamiAA yawma yunadi almunadimin makanin qareeb
And be on the alert for the day when the caller calls from a close quarter,Ali Quli Qarai
And listen on the Day when the Caller will call out from a place that is near -Saheeh International
-
50:42
يَوْمَ يَسْمَعُونَ
ٱ ل صَّيْحَةَ بِٱ لْحَقِّ ۚ ذَٰ لِكَ يَوْمُٱ لْخُرُو ج ِ ٤٢Yawma yasmaAAoona assayhatabilhaqqi thalika yawmu alkhurooj
the day when they hear the Cry in all truth. That is the day of rising [from the dead].Ali Quli Qarai
The Day they will hear the blast [of the Horn] in truth. That is the Day of Emergence [from the graves].Saheeh International

50:43
إِ
نّ َا نَحْنُ نُحْىِۦ وَنُمِيتُ وَإِلَيْنَاٱ لْمَصِي رُ ٤٣Inna nahnu nuhyeewanumeetu wa-ilayna almaseer
Indeed it is We who give life and bring death, and toward Us is the [final] destination.Ali Quli Qarai
Indeed, it is We who give life and cause death, and to Us is the destinationSaheeh International
-
50:44
يَوْمَ تَشَقَّقُ
ٱ لْأَرْضُ عَنْهُمْ سِرَاعً ۭا ۚ ذ َٰ لِكَ حَشْرٌ عَلَيْنَا يَسِي رٌۭ ٤٤Yawma tashaqqaqu al-ardu AAanhum siraAAanthalika hashrun AAalayna yaseer
The day the earth is split open for [disentombing] them, [they will come out] hastening. That mustering is easy for Us [to carry out].Ali Quli Qarai
On the Day the earth breaks away from them [and they emerge] rapidly; that is a gathering easy for Us.Saheeh International

50:45
نَّحْنُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يَقُولُونَ ۖ وَم
َآ أَنت َ عَلَيْهِم ب ِجَبَّارٍ ۢۖ ف َذَكِّرْ بِٱ لْقُرْءَانِ مَن ي َخَافُ وَعِي د ِ ٤٥Nahnu aAAlamu bima yaqooloonawama anta AAalayhim bijabbarin fathakkir bilqur-animan yakhafu waAAeed
We know well what they say, and you are not there to compel them. So admonish by the Quran those who fear My threat.Ali Quli Qarai
We are most knowing of what they say, and you are not over them a tyrant. But remind by the Qur’ān whoever fears My threat.Saheeh International
