بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

1. 55:1

   ٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ ۝١

   QaraiThe All-beneficent

2. 55:2

   عَلَّمَ ٱلْقُرْءَانَ ۝٢

   Qaraihas taught the Quran.

3. 55:3

   خَلَقَ ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ ۝٣

   QaraiHe created man,

4. 55:4

   عَلَّمَهُ ٱلْبَيَانَ ۝٤

   Qarai[and] taught him articulate speech.

5. 55:5

   ٱلشَّمْسُ وَٱلْقَمَرُ بِحُسْبَانٍ ۝٥

   QaraiThe sun and the moon are [disposed] calculatedly,

6. 55:6

   وَٱلنَّجْمُ وَٱلشَّجَرُ يَسْجُدَانِ ۝٦

   Qaraiand the herb and the tree prostrate [to Allah].

7. 55:7

   وَٱلسَّمَآءَ رَفَعَهَا وَوَضَعَ ٱلْمِيزَانَ ۝٧

   QaraiHe raised the heaven high and set up the balance,

8. 55:8

   أَلَّا تَطْغَوْا۟ فِى ٱلْمِيزَانِ ۝٨

   Qaraideclaring, ‘Do not infringe the balance!

9. 55:9

   وَأَقِيمُوا۟ ٱلْوَزْنَ بِٱلْقِسْطِ وَلَا تُخْسِرُوا۟ ٱلْمِيزَانَ ۝٩

   QaraiMaintain the weights with justice, and do not shorten the balance!’

10. 55:10

    وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَضَعَهَا لِلْأَنَامِ ۝١٠

    QaraiAnd the earth—He laid it out for mankind.

11. 55:11

    فِيهَا فَٰكِهَةٌ وَٱلنَّخْلُ ذَاتُ ٱلْأَكْمَامِ ۝١١

    QaraiIn it are fruits and date-palms with sheaths,

12. 55:12

    وَٱلْحَبُّ ذُو ٱلْعَصْفِ وَٱلرَّيْحَانُ ۝١٢

    Qaraigrain with husk, and fragrant herbs.

13. 55:13

    فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ۝١٣

    QaraiSo which of your Lord’s bounties will you both deny?

14. 55:14

    خَلَقَ ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ مِن صَلْصَٰلٍ كَٱلْفَخَّارِ ۝١٤

    QaraiHe created man out of dry clay, like the potter’s,

15. 55:15

    وَخَلَقَ ٱلْجَآنَّ مِن مَّارِجٍ مِّن نَّارٍ ۝١٥

    Qaraiand created the jinn out of a flame of a fire.

16. 55:16

    فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ۝١٦

    QaraiSo which of your Lord’s bounties will you both deny?

17. 55:17

    رَبُّ ٱلْمَشْرِقَيْنِ وَرَبُّ ٱلْمَغْرِبَيْنِ ۝١٧

    QaraiLord of the two easts, and Lord of the two wests!

18. 55:18

    فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ۝١٨

    QaraiSo which of your Lord’s bounties will you both deny?

19. 55:19

    مَرَجَ ٱلْبَحْرَيْنِ يَلْتَقِيَانِ ۝١٩

    QaraiHe merged the two seas, meeting each other.

20. 55:20

    بَيْنَهُمَا بَرْزَخٌ لَّا يَبْغِيَانِ ۝٢٠

    QaraiThere is a barrier between them, which they do not overstep.

21. 55:21

    فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ۝٢١

    QaraiSo which of your Lord’s bounties will you both deny?

22. 55:22

    يَخْرُجُ مِنْهُمَا ٱللُّؤْلُؤُ وَٱلْمَرْجَانُ ۝٢٢

    QaraiFrom them emerge the pearl and the coral.

23. 55:23

    فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ۝٢٣

    QaraiSo which of your Lord’s bounties will you both deny?

24. 55:24

    وَلَهُ ٱلْجَوَارِ ٱلْمُنشََٔاتُ فِى ٱلْبَحْرِ كَٱلْأَعْلَٰمِ ۝٢٤

    QaraiHis are the sailing ships on the sea [appearing] like landmarks.

25. 55:25

    فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ۝٢٥

    QaraiSo which of your Lord’s bounties will you both deny?

26. 55:26

    كُلُّ مَنْ عَلَيْهَا فَانٍ ۝٢٦

    QaraiEveryone on it is ephemeral,

27. 55:27

    وَيَبْقَىٰ وَجْهُ رَبِّكَ ذُو ٱلْجَلَٰلِ وَٱلْإِكْرَامِ ۝٢٧

    Qaraiyet lasting is the majestic and munificent Face of your Lord.

28. 55:28

    فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ۝٢٨

    QaraiSo which of your Lord’s bounties will you both deny?

29. 55:29

    يَسَْٔلُهُۥ مَن فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ هُوَ فِى شَأْنٍ ۝٢٩

    QaraiEveryone in the heavens and the earth asks Him. Every day He is engaged in some work.

30. 55:30

    فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ۝٣٠

    QaraiSo which of your Lord’s bounties will you both deny?

31. 55:31

    سَنَفْرُغُ لَكُمْ أَيُّهَ ٱلثَّقَلَانِ ۝٣١

    QaraiSoon We shall make Ourselves unoccupied for you, O you notable two!

32. 55:32

    فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ۝٣٢

    QaraiSo which of your Lord’s bounties will you both deny?

33. 55:33

    يَٰمَعْشَرَ ٱلْجِنِّ وَٱلْإِنسِ إِنِ ٱسْتَطَعْتُمْ أَن تَنفُذُوا۟ مِنْ أَقْطَارِ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ فَٱنفُذُوا۟ ۚ لَا تَنفُذُونَ إِلَّا بِسُلْطَٰنٍ ۝٣٣

    QaraiO company of jinn and humans! If you can pass through the confines of the heavens and the earth, then do pass through. But you will not pass through except by an authority [from Allah].

34. 55:34

    فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ۝٣٤

    QaraiSo which of your Lord’s bounties will you both deny?

35. 55:35

    يُرْسَلُ عَلَيْكُمَا شُوَاظٌ مِّن نَّارٍ وَنُحَاسٌ فَلَا تَنتَصِرَانِ ۝٣٥

    QaraiThere will be unleashed upon you a flash of fire and a smoke; then you will not be able to help one another.

36. 55:36

    فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ۝٣٦

    QaraiSo which of your Lord’s bounties will you both deny?

37. 55:37

    فَإِذَا ٱنشَقَّتِ ٱلسَّمَآءُ فَكَانَتْ وَرْدَةً كَٱلدِّهَانِ ۝٣٧

    QaraiWhen the sky is split open, and turns crimson like tanned leather.

38. 55:38

    فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ۝٣٨

    QaraiSo which of your Lord’s bounties will you both deny?

39. 55:39

    فَيَوْمَئِذٍ لَّا يُسَْٔلُ عَن ذَنۢبِهِۦٓ إِنسٌ وَلَا جَآنٌّ ۝٣٩

    QaraiOn that day neither humans will be questioned about their sins nor jinn.

40. 55:40

    فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ۝٤٠

    QaraiSo which of your Lord’s bounties will you both deny?

41. 55:41

    يُعْرَفُ ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ بِسِيمَٰهُمْ فَيُؤْخَذُ بِٱلنَّوَٰصِى وَٱلْأَقْدَامِ ۝٤١

    QaraiThe guilty will be recognized by their mark; so they will be seized by their forelocks and feet.

42. 55:42

    فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ۝٤٢

    QaraiSo which of your Lord’s bounties will you both deny?

43. 55:43

    هَٰذِهِۦ جَهَنَّمُ ٱلَّتِى يُكَذِّبُ بِهَا ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ ۝٤٣

    Qarai‘This is the hell which the guilty would deny!’

44. 55:44

    يَطُوفُونَ بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَ حَمِيمٍ ءَانٍ ۝٤٤

    QaraiThey shall circuit between it and boiling hot water.

45. 55:45

    فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ۝٤٥

    QaraiSo which of your Lord’s bounties will you both deny?

46. 55:46

    وَلِمَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِۦ جَنَّتَانِ ۝٤٦

    QaraiFor him who stands in awe of his Lord will be two gardens.

47. 55:47

    فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ۝٤٧

    QaraiSo which of your Lord’s bounties will you both deny?

48. 55:48

    ذَوَاتَآ أَفْنَانٍ ۝٤٨

    QaraiBoth abounding in branches.

49. 55:49

    فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ۝٤٩

    QaraiSo which of your Lord’s bounties will you both deny?

50. 55:50

    فِيهِمَا عَيْنَانِ تَجْرِيَانِ ۝٥٠

    QaraiIn both of them will be two flowing springs.

51. 55:51

    فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ۝٥١

    QaraiSo which of your Lord’s bounties will you both deny?

52. 55:52

    فِيهِمَا مِن كُلِّ فَٰكِهَةٍ زَوْجَانِ ۝٥٢

    QaraiIn both of them will be two kinds of every fruit.

53. 55:53

    فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ۝٥٣

    QaraiSo which of your Lord’s bounties will you both deny?

54. 55:54

    مُتَّكِِٔينَ عَلَىٰ فُرُشٍۭ بَطَآئِنُهَا مِنْ إِسْتَبْرَقٍ ۚ وَجَنَى ٱلْجَنَّتَيْنِ دَانٍ ۝٥٤

    Qarai[They will be] reclining on beds lined with green silk. And the fruit of the two gardens will be near at hand.

55. 55:55

    فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ۝٥٥

    QaraiSo which of your Lord’s bounties will you both deny?

56. 55:56

    فِيهِنَّ قَٰصِرَٰتُ ٱلطَّرْفِ لَمْ يَطْمِثْهُنَّ إِنسٌ قَبْلَهُمْ وَلَا جَآنٌّ ۝٥٦

    QaraiIn them are maidens of restrained glances, whom no human has touched before, nor jinn.

57. 55:57

    فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ۝٥٧

    QaraiSo which of your Lord’s bounties will you both deny?

58. 55:58

    كَأَنَّهُنَّ ٱلْيَاقُوتُ وَٱلْمَرْجَانُ ۝٥٨

    QaraiAs though they were rubies and corals.

59. 55:59

    فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ۝٥٩

    QaraiSo which of your Lord’s bounties will you both deny?

60. 55:60

    هَلْ جَزَآءُ ٱلْإِحْسَٰنِ إِلَّا ٱلْإِحْسَٰنُ ۝٦٠

    QaraiIs the requital of goodness anything but goodness?

61. 55:61

    فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ۝٦١

    QaraiSo which of your Lord’s bounties will you both deny?

62. 55:62

    وَمِن دُونِهِمَا جَنَّتَانِ ۝٦٢

    QaraiBeside these two, there will be two [other] gardens.

63. 55:63

    فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ۝٦٣

    QaraiSo which of your Lord’s bounties will you both deny?

64. 55:64

    مُدْهَآمَّتَانِ ۝٦٤

    QaraiDark green.

65. 55:65

    فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ۝٦٥

    QaraiSo which of your Lord’s bounties will you both deny?

66. 55:66

    فِيهِمَا عَيْنَانِ نَضَّاخَتَانِ ۝٦٦

    QaraiIn both of them will be two gushing springs.

67. 55:67

    فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ۝٦٧

    QaraiSo which of your Lord’s bounties will you both deny?

68. 55:68

    فِيهِمَا فَٰكِهَةٌ وَنَخْلٌ وَرُمَّانٌ ۝٦٨

    QaraiIn both of them will be fruits, date-palms and pomegranates.

69. 55:69

    فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ۝٦٩

    QaraiSo which of your Lord’s bounties will you both deny?

70. 55:70

    فِيهِنَّ خَيْرَٰتٌ حِسَانٌ ۝٧٠

    QaraiIn them are maidens good and lovely.

71. 55:71

    فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ۝٧١

    QaraiSo which of your Lord’s bounties will you both deny?

72. 55:72

    حُورٌ مَّقْصُورَٰتٌ فِى ٱلْخِيَامِ ۝٧٢

    QaraiHouris secluded in pavilions.

73. 55:73

    فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ۝٧٣

    QaraiSo which of your Lord’s bounties will you both deny?

74. 55:74

    لَمْ يَطْمِثْهُنَّ إِنسٌ قَبْلَهُمْ وَلَا جَآنٌّ ۝٧٤

    QaraiWhom no human has touched before, nor jinn.

75. 55:75

    فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ۝٧٥

    QaraiSo which of your Lord’s bounties will you both deny?

76. 55:76

    مُتَّكِِٔينَ عَلَىٰ رَفْرَفٍ خُضْرٍ وَعَبْقَرِىٍّ حِسَانٍ ۝٧٦

    QaraiReclining on green cushions and lovely carpets.

77. 55:77

    فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ۝٧٧

    QaraiSo which of your Lord’s bounties will you both deny?

78. 55:78

    تَبَٰرَكَ ٱسْمُ رَبِّكَ ذِى ٱلْجَلَٰلِ وَٱلْإِكْرَامِ ۝٧٨

    QaraiBlessed is the Name of your Lord, the Majestic and the Munificent!
