بِسْمِ
-
71:1
إِ
نّ َآ أَرْسَلْنَا نُوحًا إِلَىٰ قَوْمِهِۦٓ أَنْ أَنذ ِرْ قَوْمَكَ مِن ق َبْ لِ أَن ي َأْتِيَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِي مٌۭ ١Inna arsalna noohan ilaqawmihi an anthir qawmaka min qabli an ya/tiyahum AAathabunaleem
Indeed We sent Noah to his people, [saying,] ‘Warn your people before a painful punishment overtakes them.’Ali Quli Qarai
Indeed, We sent Noah to his people, [saying], "Warn your people before there comes to them a painful punishment."Saheeh International
-
71:2
قَالَ يَ
ٰ قَوْمِ إِنّ ِى لَكُمْ نَذِيرٌ ۭم ُّبِي نٌ ٢Qala ya qawmi innee lakum natheerunmubeen
He said, ‘O my people! Indeed, I am a manifest warner to you.Ali Quli Qarai
He said, "O my people, indeed I am to you a clear warner -Saheeh International

71:3
أَنِ
ٱ عْبُدُوا۟ ٱ للَّهَ وَٱ تَّقُوهُ وَأَطِيعُو نِ ٣Ani oAAbudoo Allaha wattaqoohuwaateeAAoon
Worship Allah and be wary of Him, and obey me,Ali Quli Qarai
To worship Allāh, fear Him and obey me.Saheeh International

71:4
يَغْفِرْ لَك
ُم م ِّن ذ ُنُوبِكُمْ وَيُؤَخِّرْكُمْ إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٍ ۢم ُّسَمّ ًى ۚ إِنّ َ أَجَلَٱ للَّهِ إِذَا جَا ٓءَ لَا يُؤَخَّرُ ۖ لَوْ كُنت ُمْ تَعْلَمُو نَ ٤Yaghfir lakum min thunoobikumwayu-akhkhirkum ila ajalin musamman inna ajala Allahiitha jaa la yu-akhkharu law kuntumtaAAlamoon
that He may forgive you some of your sins and respite you until a specified time. Indeed when Allah’s [appointed] time comes, it cannot be deferred, if you know.’Ali Quli Qarai
He [i.e., Allāh] will forgive you of your sins and delay you for a specified term. Indeed, the time [set by] Allāh, when it comes, will not be delayed, if you only knew."Saheeh International

71:5
قَالَ رَبِّ إِ
نّ ِى دَعَوْتُ قَوْمِى لَيْلً ۭاو َنَهَارًۭا ٥Qala rabbi innee daAAawtu qawmeelaylan wanahara
He said, ‘My Lord! Indeed, I have summoned my people night and dayAli Quli Qarai
He said, "My Lord, indeed I invited my people [to truth] night and day.Saheeh International
-
71:6
فَلَمْ يَزِ
دْ هُمْ دُعَا ٓءِىٓ إِلَّا فِرَارًۭا ٦Falam yazidhum duAAa-ee illafirara
but my summons only increases their evasion.Ali Quli Qarai
But my invitation increased them not except in flight [i.e., aversion].Saheeh International

71:7
وَإِ
نّ ِى كُلَّمَا دَعَوْتُهُمْ لِتَغْفِرَ لَهُمْ جَعَلُوٓ ا۟ أَصَٰ بِعَهُمْ فِىٓ ءَاذَانِهِمْ وَٱ سْتَغْشَوْا۟ ثِيَابَهُمْ وَأَصَرُّوا۟ وَٱ سْتَكْبَرُوا۟ ٱ سْتِكْبَارًۭا ٧Wa-innee kullama daAAawtuhumlitaghfira lahum jaAAaloo asabiAAahum fee athanihimwastaghshaw thiyabahum waasarroo wastakbarooistikbara
Indeed whenever I have summoned them, so that You might forgive them, they would put their fingers into their ears and draw their cloaks over their heads, and they were persistent [in their unfaith], and disdainful in [their] arrogance.Ali Quli Qarai
And indeed, every time I invited them that You may forgive them, they put their fingers in their ears, covered themselves with their garments, persisted, and were arrogant with [great] arrogance.Saheeh International

71:8
ثُ
مّ َ إِنّ ِى دَعَوْتُهُمْ جِهَارًۭا ٨Thumma innee daAAawtuhum jihara
Again I summoned them aloud,Ali Quli Qarai
Then I invited them publicly.Saheeh International
-
71:9
ثُ
مّ َ إِنّ ِىٓ أَعْلَنت ُ لَهُمْ وَأَسْرَرْتُ لَهُمْ إِسْرَارًۭا ٩Thumma innee aAAlantu lahum waasrartu lahumisrara
and again appealed to them publicly and confided with them privately,Ali Quli Qarai
Then I announced to them and [also] confided to them secretlySaheeh International
-
71:10
فَقُلْتُ
ٱ سْتَغْفِرُوا۟ رَبَّكُمْ إِنّ َهُۥ كَانَ غَفَّارًۭا ١٠Faqultu istaghfiroo rabbakum innahu kanaghaffara
telling [them]: ‘‘Plead to your Lord for forgiveness. Indeed, He is all-forgiving.Ali Quli Qarai
And said, 'Ask forgiveness of your Lord. Indeed, He is ever a Perpetual Forgiver.Saheeh International
-
71:11
يُرْسِلِ
ٱ ل سَّمَا ٓءَ عَلَيْكُم م ِّدْ رَارًۭا ١١Yursili assamaa AAalaykummidrara
He will send for you abundant rains from the sky,Ali Quli Qarai
He will send [rain from] the sky upon you in [continuing] showersSaheeh International
-
71:12
وَيُمْدِ
دْ كُم ب ِأَمْوَٰ لٍ ۢو َبَنِينَ وَيَجْ عَل لَّكُمْ جَنّ َٰ تٍ ۢو َيَجْ عَل لَّكُمْ أَنْهَٰ رًۭا ١٢Wayumdidkum bi-amwalin wabaneenawayajAAal lakum jannatin wayajAAal lakum anhara
and aid you with wealth and sons, and provide you with gardens and provide you with streams.Ali Quli Qarai
And give you increase in wealth and children and provide for you gardens and provide for you rivers.Saheeh International
-
71:13
مَّا لَكُمْ لَا تَرْجُونَ لِلَّهِ وَقَارًۭا ١٣
Ma lakum la tarjoona lillahiwaqara
What is the matter with you that you do not look upon Allah with veneration,Ali Quli Qarai
What is [the matter] with you that you do not attribute to Allāh [due] grandeurSaheeh International
-
71:14
وَقَ
دْ خَلَقَكُمْ أَطْ وَارًا ١٤Waqad khalaqakum atwara
though He has created you in [various] stages?Ali Quli Qarai
While He has created you in stages?Saheeh International
-
71:15
أَلَمْ تَرَوْ
ا۟ كَيْفَ خَلَقَٱ للَّهُ سَبْ عَ سَمَٰ وَٰ تٍ ۢط ِبَاقًۭا ١٥Alam taraw kayfa khalaqa AllahusabAAa samawatin tibaqa
Have you not seen how Allah has created the seven heavens in layers,Ali Quli Qarai
Do you not consider how Allāh has created seven heavens in layersSaheeh International
-
71:16
وَجَعَلَ
ٱ لْقَمَرَ فِيهِنّ َ نُورً ۭا و َجَعَلَٱ ل شَّمْسَ سِرَاجًۭا ١٦WajaAAala alqamara feehinna nooran wajaAAalaashshamsa siraja
and has made therein the moon for a light and the sun for a lamp?Ali Quli Qarai
And made the moon therein a [reflected] light and made the sun a burning lamp?Saheeh International
-
71:17
وَ
ٱ للَّهُ أَنۢب َتَكُم م ِّنَٱ لْأَرْضِ نَبَاتًۭا ١٧Wallahu anbatakum mina al-ardinabata
Allah made you grow from the earth, with a [vegetable] growth.Ali Quli Qarai
And Allāh has caused you to grow from the earth a [progressive] growth.Saheeh International
-
71:18
ثُ
مّ َ يُعِيدُكُمْ فِيهَا وَيُخْرِجُكُمْ إِخْرَاجًۭا ١٨Thumma yuAAeedukum feehawayukhrijukum ikhraja
Then He makes you return to it, and He will bring you forth [without fail].Ali Quli Qarai
Then He will return you into it and extract you [another] extraction.Saheeh International
-
71:19
وَ
ٱ للَّهُ جَعَلَ لَكُمُٱ لْأَرْضَ بِسَاطًۭا ١٩Wallahu jaAAala lakumu al-ardabisata
Allah has made the earth a vast expanse for youAli Quli Qarai
And Allāh has made for you the earth an expanseSaheeh International
-
71:20
لِّتَسْلُكُو
ا۟ مِنْهَا سُبُلً ۭاف ِجَاجًۭا ٢٠Litaslukoo minha subulan fijaja
so that you may travel over its spacious ways.’’ ’Ali Quli Qarai
That you may follow therein roads of passage.'"Saheeh International
-
71:21
قَالَ نُو
حٌ ۭر َّبِّ إِنّ َهُمْ عَصَوْنِى وَٱ تَّبَعُوا۟ مَن ل َّمْ يَزِدْ هُ مَالُهُۥ وَوَلَدُهُۥٓ إِلَّا خَسَارًۭا ٢١Qala noohun rabbi innahum AAasawneewattabaAAoo man lam yazidhu maluhu wawaladuhu illakhasara
Noah said, ‘My Lord! They have disobeyed me, following someone whose wealth and children only add to his loss,Ali Quli Qarai
Noah said, "My Lord, indeed they have disobeyed me and followed him whose wealth and children will not increase him except in loss.Saheeh International
-
71:22
وَمَكَرُو
ا۟ مَكْرً ۭا ك ُبَّارًۭا ٢٢Wamakaroo makran kubbara
and they have devised an outrageous plot.Ali Quli Qarai
And they conspired an immense conspiracySaheeh International
-
71:23
وَقَالُو
ا۟ لَا تَذَرُنّ َ ءَالِهَتَكُمْ وَلَا تَذَرُنّ َ وَدًّ ۭا و َلَا سُوَاعً ۭا و َلَا يَغُوثَ وَيَعُوقَ وَنَسْرًۭا ٢٣Waqaloo la tatharunna alihatakumwala tatharunna waddan wala suwaAAanwala yaghootha wayaAAooqa wanasra
They say, ‘‘Do not abandon your gods. Do not abandon Wadd, nor Suwa, nor Yaghuth, Ya‘uq and Nasr,’’Ali Quli Qarai
And said, 'Never leave your gods and never leave Wadd or Suwāʿ or Yaghūth and Yaʿūq and Nasr.'Saheeh International

71:24
وَقَ
دْ أَضَلُّوا۟ كَثِيرً ۭا ۖ و َلَا تَزِدِٱ ل ظَّٰ لِمِينَ إِلَّا ضَلَٰ لًۭا ٢٤Waqad adalloo katheeran walatazidi aththalimeena illa dalala
and already they have led many astray. Do not increase the wrongdoers in anything but error.’Ali Quli Qarai
And already they have misled many. And, [my Lord], do not increase the wrongdoers except in error."Saheeh International
-
71:25
مِّ
مّ َا خَطِيٓ َٰٔ تِهِمْ أُغْرِقُوا۟ فَأُدْ خِلُوا۟ نَارً ۭا ف َلَمْ يَجِدُوا۟ لَهُم م ِّن د ُونِٱ للَّهِ أَنص َارًۭا ٢٥Mimma khatee-atihimoghriqoo faodkhiloo naran falam yajidoo lahum min dooniAllahi ansara
They were drowned because of their iniquities, then made to enter a Fire, and they did not find any helpers for themselves besides Allah.Ali Quli Qarai
Because of their sins they were drowned and put into the Fire, and they found not for themselves besides Allāh [any] helpers.Saheeh International
-
71:26
وَقَالَ نُو
حٌ ۭر َّبِّ لَا تَذَرْ عَلَىٱ لْأَرْضِ مِنَٱ لْكَٰ فِرِينَ دَيَّارًا ٢٦Waqala noohun rabbi latathar AAala al-ardi mina alkafireenadayyara
And Noah said, ‘My Lord! ‘Do not leave on the earth any inhabitant from among the faithless.Ali Quli Qarai
And Noah said, "My Lord, do not leave upon the earth from among the disbelievers an inhabitant.Saheeh International
-
71:27
إِ
نّ َكَ إِن ت َذَرْهُمْ يُضِلُّوا۟ عِبَادَكَ وَلَا يَلِدُوٓ ا۟ إِلَّا فَاجِرً ۭا ك َفَّارًۭا ٢٧Innaka in tatharhum yudillooAAibadaka wala yalidoo illa fajirankaffara
If You leave them, they will lead astray Your servants, and will beget none except vicious ingrates.Ali Quli Qarai
Indeed, if You leave them, they will mislead Your servants and not beget except [every] wicked one and [confirmed] disbeliever.Saheeh International
-
71:28
رَّبِّ
ٱ غْفِرْ لِى وَلِوَٰ لِدَىَّ وَلِمَن د َخَلَ بَيْتِىَ مُؤْمِنً ۭا و َلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَٱ لْمُؤْمِنَٰ تِ وَلَا تَزِدِٱ ل ظَّٰ لِمِينَ إِلَّا تَبَارًۢا ٢٨Rabbi ighfir lee waliwalidayyawaliman dakhala baytiya mu/minan walilmu/mineena walmu/minatiwala tazidi aththalimeena illatabaran
My Lord! Forgive me and my parents, and whoever enters my house in faith, and the faithful men and women, and do not increase the wrongdoers in anything but ruin.’Ali Quli Qarai
My Lord, forgive me and my parents and whoever enters my house a believer and the believing men and believing women. And do not increase the wrongdoers except in destruction."Saheeh International
