بِسْمِ
-
76:1
هَلْ أَتَىٰ عَلَى
ٱ لْإِنس َٰ نِ حِينٌ ۭم ِّنَٱ ل دَّهْرِ لَمْ يَكُن ش َئًْ ۭا م َّذْكُورًا ١Hal ata AAala al-insani heenunmina addahri lam yakun shay-an mathkoora
Has there been a period of time for man when he was not anything worthy of mention?Ali Quli Qarai
Has there [not] come upon man a period of time when he was not a thing [even] mentioned?Saheeh International
-
76:2
إِ
نّ َا خَلَقْ نَاٱ لْإِنس َٰ نَ مِن ن ُّطْ فَةٍ أَمْشَاجٍ ۢن َّبْ تَلِيهِ فَجَعَلْنَٰ هُ سَمِيعًۢا ب َصِيرًا ٢Inna khalaqna al-insanamin nutfatin amshajin nabtaleehi fajaAAalnahusameeAAan baseera
Indeed We created man from the drop of a mixed fluid so that We may put him to test, so We endowed with hearing and sight.Ali Quli Qarai
Indeed, We created man from a sperm-drop mixture that We may try him; and We made him hearing and seeing.Saheeh International

76:3
إِ
نّ َا هَدَيْنَٰ هُٱ ل سَّبِيلَ إِمّ َا شَاكِرً ۭا و َإِمّ َا كَفُورًا ٣Inna hadaynahu assabeelaimma shakiran wa-imma kafoora
Indeed We have guided him to the way, be he grateful or ungrateful.Ali Quli Qarai
Indeed, We guided him to the way, be he grateful or be he ungrateful.Saheeh International

76:4
إِ
نّ َآ أَعْتَدْ نَا لِلْكَٰ فِرِينَ سَلَٰ سِلَا۟ وَأَغْلَٰ لً ۭاو َسَعِيرًا ٤Inna aAAtadna lilkafireenasalasila waaghlalan wasaAAeera
Indeed for the faithless We have prepared chains, iron collars, and a blaze.Ali Quli Qarai
Indeed, We have prepared for the disbelievers chains and shackles and a blaze.Saheeh International

76:5
إِ
نّ َٱ لْأَبْ رَارَ يَشْرَبُونَ مِن ك َأْسٍ ۢك َانَ مِزَاجُهَا كَافُورًا ٥Inna al-abrara yashraboona min ka/sinkana mizajuha kafoora
Indeed the pious will drink from a cup seasoned with Kafur,Ali Quli Qarai
Indeed, the righteous will drink from a cup [of wine] whose mixture is of Kāfūr,Saheeh International

76:6
عَيْ
نً ۭا ي َشْرَبُ بِهَا عِبَادُٱ للَّهِ يُفَجِّرُونَهَا تَفْجِيرًۭا ٦AAaynan yashrabu biha AAibaduAllahi yufajjiroonaha tafjeera
a spring where Allah’s servants will drink, making it gush forth as they please.Ali Quli Qarai
A spring of which the [righteous] servants of Allāh will drink; they will make it gush forth in force [and abundance].Saheeh International

76:7
يُوفُونَ بِ
ٱ ل نّ َذْرِ وَيَخَافُونَ يَوْمً ۭا ك َانَ شَرُّهُۥ مُسْتَطِيرًۭا ٧Yoofoona binnathri wayakhafoonayawman kana sharruhu mustateera
They fulfill their vows and fear a day whose ill will be widespread.Ali Quli Qarai
They [are those who] fulfill [their] vows and fear a Day whose evil will be widespread.Saheeh International

76:8
وَيُ
طْ عِمُونَٱ ل طَّعَامَ عَلَىٰ حُبِّهِۦ مِسْكِينً ۭا و َيَتِيمً ۭا و َأَسِيرًا ٨WayutAAimona attaAAamaAAala hubbihi miskeenan wayateeman waaseera
For the love of Him, they feed the needy, the orphan and the prisoner,Ali Quli Qarai
And they give food in spite of love for it to the needy, the orphan, and the captive,Saheeh International
-
76:9
إِ
نّ َمَا نُطْ عِمُكُمْ لِوَجْ هِٱ للَّهِ لَا نُرِيدُ مِنك ُمْ جَزَا ٓءً ۭو َلَا شُكُورًا ٩Innama nutAAimukum liwajhi Allahila nureedu minkum jazaan wala shukoora
[saying,] ‘We feed you only for the sake of Allah. We desire no reward from you, nor thanks.Ali Quli Qarai
[Saying], "We feed you only for the face [i.e., approval] of Allāh. We wish not from you reward or gratitude.Saheeh International
-
76:10
إِ
نّ َا نَخَافُ مِن ر َّبِّنَا يَوْمًا عَبُوسً ۭا ق َمْطَرِيرًۭا ١٠Inna nakhafu min rabbinayawman AAaboosan qamtareera
Indeed we fear a frowning and fateful day from our Lord.’Ali Quli Qarai
Indeed, We fear from our Lord a Day austere and distressful."Saheeh International

76:11
فَوَقَى
ٰ هُمُٱ للَّهُ شَرَّ ذَٰ لِكَٱ لْيَوْمِ وَلَقَّىٰ هُمْ نَضْرَةً ۭو َسُرُورًۭا ١١Fawaqahumu Allahu sharra thalikaalyawmi walaqqahum nadratan wasuroora
So Allah saved them from that day’s ills and graced them with freshness [on this faces] and joy [in their hearts].Ali Quli Qarai
So Allāh will protect them from the evil of that Day and give them radiance and happinessSaheeh International
-
76:12
وَجَزَ
ىٰ هُم ب ِمَا صَبَرُوا۟ جَنّ َةً ۭو َحَرِيرًۭا ١٢Wajazahum bima sabaroojannatan wahareera
He rewarded them for their patience with a garden and [garments of] silk,Ali Quli Qarai
And will reward them for what they patiently endured [with] a garden [in Paradise] and silk [garments].Saheeh International
-
76:13
مُّتَّكِِٔينَ فِيهَا عَلَى
ٱ لْأَرَا ٓئِكِ ۖ لَا يَرَوْنَ فِيهَا شَمْسً ۭا و َلَا زَمْهَرِيرًۭا ١٣Muttaki-eena feeha AAala al-ara-ikila yarawna feeha shamsan wala zamhareera
reclining therein on couches, without facing any [scorching] sun, or [biting] cold.Ali Quli Qarai
[They will be] reclining therein on adorned couches. They will not see therein any [burning] sun or [freezing] cold.Saheeh International
-
76:14
وَدَانِيَةً عَلَيْهِمْ ظِلَ
ٰ لُهَا وَذُلِّلَتْ قُطُوفُهَا تَذْلِيلًۭا ١٤Wadaniyatan AAalayhim thilaluhawathullilat qutoofuha tathleela
Its shades will be close over them and its clusters [of fruits] will be hanging low.Ali Quli Qarai
And near above them are its shades, and its [fruit] to be picked will be lowered in compliance.Saheeh International

76:15
وَيُطَافُ عَلَيْه
ِم ب َِٔانِيَةٍ ۢم ِّن ف ِضَّةٍ ۢو َأَكْوَابٍ ۢك َانَتْ قَوَارِيرَا۠ ١٥Wayutafu AAalayhim bi-aniyatinmin fiddatin waakwabin kanat qawareera
They will be served around with vessels of silver and goblets of crystalAli Quli Qarai
And there will be circulated among them vessels of silver and cups having been [created] clear [as glass],Saheeh International
-
76:16
قَوَارِيرَ
ا۟ مِن ف ِضَّةٍ ۢق َدَّرُوهَا تَقْ دِيرًۭا ١٦Qawareera min fiddatinqaddarooha taqdeera
—crystal of silver— [from] which they will dispense in a precise measure.Ali Quli Qarai
Clear glasses [made] from silver of which they have determined the measure.Saheeh International
-
76:17
وَيُسْقَوْنَ فِيهَا كَأْ
سً ۭا ك َانَ مِزَاجُهَا زَنج َبِيلًا ١٧Wayusqawna feeha ka/san kanamizajuha zanjabeela
They will be served therein with a cup of a drink seasoned with Zanjabeel,Ali Quli Qarai
And they will be given to drink a cup [of wine] whose mixture is of gingerSaheeh International

76:18
عَيْ
نً ۭا ف ِيهَا تُسَمّ َىٰ سَلْسَبِيلًۭا ١٨AAaynan feeha tusammasalsabeela
from a spring in it named Salsabeel.Ali Quli Qarai
[From] a fountain within it [i.e., Paradise] named Salsabeel.Saheeh International
-
76:19
۞ وَيَطُوفُ عَلَيْهِمْ وِلْدَ
ٰ نٌ ۭم ُّخَلَّدُونَ إِذَا رَأَيْتَهُمْ حَسِبْ تَهُمْ لُؤْلُؤً ۭا م َّنث ُورًۭا ١٩Wayatoofu AAalayhim wildanunmukhalladoona itha raaytahum hasibtahum lu/lu-anmanthoora
They will be waited upon by immortal youths, whom, were you to see them, you will suppose them to be scattered pearls.Ali Quli Qarai
There will circulate among them young boys made eternal. When you see them, you would think them [as beautiful as] scattered pearls.Saheeh International

76:20
وَإِذَا رَأَيْتَ ثَ
مّ َ رَأَيْتَ نَعِيمً ۭا و َمُلْكً ۭا ك َبِيرًا ٢٠Wa-itha raayta thamma raaytanaAAeeman wamulkan kabeera
As you look on, you will see there bliss and a great kingdom.Ali Quli Qarai
And when you look there [in Paradise], you will see pleasure and great dominion.Saheeh International

76:21
عَ
ٰ لِيَهُمْ ثِيَابُ سُند ُسٍ خُضْرٌ ۭو َإِسْتَبْ رَقٌ ۭۖ و َحُلُّوٓ ا۟ أَسَاوِرَ مِن ف ِضَّةٍ ۢو َسَقَىٰ هُمْ رَبُّهُمْ شَرَابً ۭا ط َهُورًا ٢١AAaliyahum thiyabu sundusinkhudrun wa-istabraqun wahulloo asawira minfiddatin wasaqahum rabbuhum sharaban tahoora
Upon them will be cloaks of green silk and brocade and they will be adorned with bracelets of silver. Their Lord will give them to drink a pure drink.Ali Quli Qarai
Upon them [i.e., the inhabitants] will be green garments of fine silk and brocade. And they will be adorned with bracelets of silver, and their Lord will give them a purifying drink.Saheeh International

76:22
إِ
نّ َ هَٰ ذَا كَانَ لَكُمْ جَزَا ٓءً ۭو َكَانَ سَعْيُكُم م َّشْكُورًا ٢٢Inna hatha kana lakum jazaanwakana saAAyukum mashkoora
[They will be told]: ‘This is your reward, and your efforts have been well-appreciated.’Ali Quli Qarai
[And it will be said], "Indeed, this is for you a reward, and your effort has been appreciated."Saheeh International

76:23
إِ
نّ َا نَحْنُ نَزَّلْنَا عَلَيْكَٱ لْقُرْءَانَ تَنز ِيلًۭا ٢٣Inna nahnu nazzalnaAAalayka alqur-ana tanzeela
Indeed We have sent down to you the Quran in a gradual descent.Ali Quli Qarai
Indeed, it is We who have sent down to you, [O Muḥammad], the Qur’ān progressively.Saheeh International
-
76:24
فَ
ٱ صْبِرْ لِحُكْمِ رَبِّكَ وَلَا تُطِعْ مِنْهُمْ ءَاثِمًا أَوْ كَفُورًۭا ٢٤Fasbir lihukmi rabbikawala tutiAA minhum athiman aw kafoora
So submit patiently to the judgement of your Lord and do not obey any sinner or ingrate from among them,Ali Quli Qarai
So be patient for the decision of your Lord and do not obey from among them a sinner or ungrateful [disbeliever].Saheeh International
-
76:25
وَ
ٱ ذْكُرِٱ سْمَ رَبِّكَ بُكْرَةً ۭو َأَصِيلًۭا ٢٥Wathkuri isma rabbikabukratan waaseela
and celebrate the Name of your Lord morning and evening,Ali Quli Qarai
And mention the name of your Lord [in prayer] morning and eveningSaheeh International
-
76:26
وَمِنَ
ٱ لَّيْلِ فَٱ سْجُدْ لَهُۥ وَسَبِّحْهُ لَيْلً ۭاط َوِيلًا ٢٦Wamina allayli fasjud lahu wasabbihhulaylan taweela
and worship Him for a watch of the night and glorify Him the night long.Ali Quli Qarai
And during the night prostrate to Him and exalt [i.e., praise] Him a long [part of the] night.Saheeh International
-
76:27
إِ
نّ َ هَٰٓ ؤُلَا ٓءِ يُحِبُّونَٱ لْعَاجِلَةَ وَيَذَرُونَ وَرَا ٓءَهُمْ يَوْمً ۭا ث َقِيلًۭا ٢٧Inna haola-i yuhibboonaalAAajilata wayatharoona waraahum yawmanthaqeela
Indeed they love this transitory life, and disregard a heavy day that is ahead of them.Ali Quli Qarai
Indeed, these [disbelievers] love the immediate and leave behind them a grave Day.Saheeh International

76:28
نَّحْنُ خَلَ
قْ نَٰ هُمْ وَشَدَدْ نَآ أَسْرَهُمْ ۖ وَإِذَا شِئْنَا بَدَّلْنَآ أَمْثَٰ لَهُمْ تَبْ دِيلًا ٢٨Nahnu khalaqnahum washadadnaasrahum wa-itha shi/na baddalna amthalahumtabdeela
We created them and strengthened their joints, and We will replace them with others like them whenever We like.Ali Quli Qarai
We have created them and strengthened their forms, and when We will, We can change their likenesses with [complete] alteration.Saheeh International

76:29
إِ
نّ َ هَٰ ذِهِۦ تَذْكِرَةٌ ۭۖ ف َمَن ش َا ٓءَٱ تَّخَذَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِۦ سَبِيلًۭا ٢٩Inna hathihi tathkiratun famanshaa ittakhatha ila rabbihi sabeela
This is indeed a reminder. So let anyone who wishes take the way toward his Lord.Ali Quli Qarai
Indeed, this is a reminder, so he who wills may take to his Lord a way.Saheeh International

76:30
وَمَا تَش
َا ٓءُونَ إِلَّآ أَن ي َشَا ٓءَٱ للَّهُ ۚ إِنّ َٱ للَّهَ كَانَ عَلِيمًا حَكِيمًۭا ٣٠Wama tashaoona illa anyashaa Allahu inna Allaha kanaAAaleeman hakeema
But you will not wish unless it is willed by Allah. Indeed Allah is all-knowing, all-wise.Ali Quli Qarai
And you do not will except that Allāh wills. Indeed, Allāh is ever Knowing and Wise.Saheeh International

76:31
يُ
دْ خِلُ مَن ي َشَا ٓءُ فِى رَحْمَتِهِۦ ۚ وَٱ ل ظَّٰ لِمِينَ أَعَدَّ لَهُمْ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًۢا ٣١Yudkhilu man yashao fee rahmatihiwaththalimeena aAAadda lahum AAathabanaleema
He admits whomever He wishes into His mercy, and He has prepared a painful punishment for the wrongdoers.Ali Quli Qarai
He admits whom He wills into His mercy; but the wrongdoers - He has prepared for them a painful punishment.Saheeh International
