الإنفطار
Al-Infitar · The Cleaving

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
-
82:1
إِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ ٱنفَطَرَتْ ١
Itha assamao infatarat
QaraiWhen the sky is rent apart,
Saheeh InternationalWhen the sky breaks apart
-
82:2
وَإِذَا ٱلْكَوَاكِبُ ٱنتَثَرَتْ ٢
Wa-itha alkawakibu intatharat
Qaraiwhen the stars are scattered,
Saheeh InternationalAnd when the stars fall, scattering,
-
82:3
وَإِذَا ٱلْبِحَارُ فُجِّرَتْ ٣
Wa-itha albiharu fujjirat
Qaraiwhen the seas are merged,
Saheeh InternationalAnd when the seas are erupted
-
82:4
وَإِذَا ٱلْقُبُورُ بُعْثِرَتْ ٤
Wa-itha alqubooru buAAthirat
Qaraiwhen the graves are overturned,
Saheeh InternationalAnd when the [contents of] graves are scattered [i.e., exposed],
-
82:5
عَلِمَتْ نَفْسٌ مَّا قَدَّمَتْ وَأَخَّرَتْ ٥
AAalimat nafsun ma qaddamatwaakhkharat
Qaraithen a soul shall know what it has sent ahead and left behind.
Saheeh InternationalA soul will [then] know what it has put forth and kept back.
-
82:6
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ مَا غَرَّكَ بِرَبِّكَ ٱلْكَرِيمِ ٦
Ya ayyuha al-insanu magharraka birabbika alkareem
QaraiO man! What has deceived you about your generous Lord,
Saheeh InternationalO mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous,
-
82:7
ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَكَ فَسَوَّىٰكَ فَعَدَلَكَ ٧
Allathee khalaqaka fasawwakafaAAadalak
Qaraiwho created you and proportioned you, and gave you an upright nature,
Saheeh InternationalWho created you, proportioned you, and balanced you?
-
82:8
فِىٓ أَىِّ صُورَةٍ مَّا شَآءَ رَكَّبَكَ ٨
Fee ayyi sooratin ma shaarakkabak
Qaraiand composed you in any form that He wished?
Saheeh InternationalIn whatever form He willed has He assembled you.
-
82:9
كَلَّا بَلْ تُكَذِّبُونَ بِٱلدِّينِ ٩
Kalla bal tukaththiboona biddeen
QaraiNo! Indeed, you deny the Retribution.
Saheeh InternationalNo! But you deny the Recompense.
-
82:10
وَإِنَّ عَلَيْكُمْ لَحَٰفِظِينَ ١٠
Wa-inna AAalaykum lahafitheen
QaraiIndeed, there are over you watchers,
Saheeh InternationalAnd indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers,
-
82:11
كِرَامًا كَٰتِبِينَ ١١
Kiraman katibeen
Qarainoble writers,
Saheeh InternationalNoble and recording;
-
82:12
يَعْلَمُونَ مَا تَفْعَلُونَ ١٢
YaAAlamoona ma tafAAaloon
Qaraiwho know whatever you do.
Saheeh InternationalThey know whatever you do.
-
82:13
إِنَّ ٱلْأَبْرَارَ لَفِى نَعِيمٍ ١٣
Inna al-abrara lafee naAAeem
QaraiIndeed the pious shall be amid bliss,
Saheeh InternationalIndeed, the righteous will be in pleasure,
-
82:14
وَإِنَّ ٱلْفُجَّارَ لَفِى جَحِيمٍ ١٤
Wa-inna alfujjara lafee jaheem
Qaraiand indeed the vicious shall be in hell,
Saheeh InternationalAnd indeed, the wicked will be in Hellfire.
-
82:15
يَصْلَوْنَهَا يَوْمَ ٱلدِّينِ ١٥
Yaslawnaha yawma addeen
Qaraientering it on the Day of Retribution,
Saheeh InternationalThey will [enter to] burn therein on the Day of Recompense,
-
82:16
وَمَا هُمْ عَنْهَا بِغَآئِبِينَ ١٦
Wama hum AAanha bigha-ibeen
Qaraiand they shall not be absent from it.
Saheeh InternationalAnd never therefrom will they be absent.
-
82:17
وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا يَوْمُ ٱلدِّينِ ١٧
Wama adraka ma yawmu addeeni
QaraiAnd what will show you what is the Day of Retribution?
Saheeh InternationalAnd what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense?
-
82:18
ثُمَّ مَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا يَوْمُ ٱلدِّينِ ١٨
Thumma ma adraka mayawmu addeen
QaraiAgain, what will show you what is the Day of Retribution?
Saheeh InternationalThen, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense?

82:19
يَوْمَ لَا تَمْلِكُ نَفْسٌ لِّنَفْسٍ شَئًْا ۖ وَٱلْأَمْرُ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلَّهِ ١٩
Yawma la tamliku nafsun linafsinshay-an wal-amru yawma-ithin lillah
QaraiIt is a day when no soul will be of any avail to another soul and all command that day will belong to Allah.
Saheeh InternationalIt is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allāh.
