الطارق

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

1. 86:1

   وَٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلطَّارِقِ ۝١

   By the sky and the knocker

2. 86:2

   وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلطَّارِقُ ۝٢

   And what can make you know what is the knocker?

3. 86:3

   ٱلنَّجْمُ ٱلثَّاقِبُ ۝٣

   It is the piercing star.

4. 86:4

   إِن كُلُّ نَفْسٍ لَّمَّا عَلَيْهَا حَافِظٌ ۝٤

   There is no soul but that it has over it a protector.

5. 86:5

   فَلْيَنظُرِ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ مِمَّ خُلِقَ ۝٥

   So let man observe from what he was created.

6. 86:6

   خُلِقَ مِن مَّآءٍ دَافِقٍ ۝٦

   He was created from a fluid, ejected,

7. 86:7

   يَخْرُجُ مِنۢ بَيْنِ ٱلصُّلْبِ وَٱلتَّرَآئِبِ ۝٧

   Emerging from between the backbone and the ribs.

8. 86:8

   إِنَّهُۥ عَلَىٰ رَجْعِهِۦ لَقَادِرٌ ۝٨

   Indeed, He [i.e., Allāh], to return him [to life], is Able.

9. 86:9

   يَوْمَ تُبْلَى ٱلسَّرَآئِرُ ۝٩

   The Day when secrets will be put on trial,

10. 86:10

    فَمَا لَهُۥ مِن قُوَّةٍ وَلَا نَاصِرٍ ۝١٠

    Then he [i.e., man] will have no power or any helper.

11. 86:11

    وَٱلسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ ٱلرَّجْعِ ۝١١

    By the sky which sends back

12. 86:12

    وَٱلْأَرْضِ ذَاتِ ٱلصَّدْعِ ۝١٢

    And [by] the earth which splits,

13. 86:13

    إِنَّهُۥ لَقَوْلٌ فَصْلٌ ۝١٣

    Indeed, it [i.e., the Qur’ān] is a decisive statement,

14. 86:14

    وَمَا هُوَ بِٱلْهَزْلِ ۝١٤

    And it is not amusement.

15. 86:15

    إِنَّهُمْ يَكِيدُونَ كَيْدًا ۝١٥

    Indeed, they are planning a plan,

16. 86:16

    وَأَكِيدُ كَيْدًا ۝١٦

    But I am planning a plan.

17. 86:17

    فَمَهِّلِ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ أَمْهِلْهُمْ رُوَيْدًۢا ۝١٧

    So allow time for the disbelievers. Leave them awhile.
