بِسْمِ
-
87:1
سَبِّحِ
ٱ سْمَ رَبِّكَٱ لْأَعْلَى ١Sabbihi isma rabbika al-aAAla
Celebrate the Name of your Lord, the Most Exalted,Ali Quli Qarai
Exalt the name of your Lord, the Most High,Saheeh International
-
87:2
ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ فَسَوَّىٰ ٢
Allathee khalaqa fasawwa
who created and proportioned,Ali Quli Qarai
Who created and proportionedSaheeh International
-
87:3
وَ
ٱ لَّذِى قَدَّرَ فَهَدَىٰ ٣Wallathee qaddara fahada
who determined and guided,Ali Quli Qarai
And who destined and [then] guidedSaheeh International
-
87:4
وَ
ٱ لَّذِىٓ أَخْرَجَٱ لْمَرْعَىٰ ٤Wallathee akhraja almarAAa
who brought forth the pastureAli Quli Qarai
And who brings out the pastureSaheeh International
-
87:5
فَجَعَلَهُ
ۥ غُثَا ٓءً أَحْوَىٰ ٥FajaAAalahu ghuthaan ahwa
and then turned it into a black scum.Ali Quli Qarai
And [then] makes it black stubble.Saheeh International
-
87:6
سَنُ
قْ رِئُكَ فَلَا تَنس َىٰٓ ٦Sanuqri-oka fala tansa
We shall have you recite [the Quran], then you will not forget [any of it]Ali Quli Qarai
We will make you recite, [O Muḥammad], and you will not forget,Saheeh International
-
87:7
إِلَّا مَا ش
َا ٓءَٱ للَّهُ ۚ إِنّ َهُۥ يَعْلَمُٱ لْجَهْرَ وَمَا يَخْفَىٰ ٧Illa ma shaa Allahuinnahu yaAAlamu aljahra wama yakhfa
except what Allah may wish. Indeed, He knows the open and what is hidden.Ali Quli Qarai
Except what Allāh should will. Indeed, He knows what is declared and what is hidden.Saheeh International
-
87:8
وَنُيَسِّرُكَ لِلْيُسْرَىٰ ٨
Wanuyassiruka lilyusra
And We shall ease you into facility.Ali Quli Qarai
And We will ease you toward ease.Saheeh International
-
87:9
فَذَكِّرْ إ
ِن ن َّفَعَتِٱ ل ذِّكْرَىٰ ٩Fathakkir in nafaAAati aththikra
So admonish, for admonition is indeed beneficial:Ali Quli Qarai
So remind, if the reminder should benefit;Saheeh International
-
87:10
سَيَذَّكَّرُ م
َن ي َخْشَىٰ ١٠Sayaththakkaru man yakhsha
he who fears [God] will take admonition,Ali Quli Qarai
He who fears [Allāh] will be reminded.Saheeh International
-
87:11
وَيَتَجَ
نّ َبُهَاٱ لْأَشْقَى ١١Wayatajannabuha al-ashqa
and the most wretched will shun itAli Quli Qarai
But the wretched one will avoid it –Saheeh International
-
87:12
ٱلَّذِى يَصْلَى
ٱ ل نّ َارَٱ لْكُبْ رَىٰ ١٢Allathee yasla annaraalkubra
—he who will enter the Great Fire,Ali Quli Qarai
[He] who will [enter and] burn in the greatest Fire,Saheeh International
-
87:13
ثُ
مّ َ لَا يَمُوتُ فِيهَا وَلَا يَحْيَىٰ ١٣Thumma la yamootu feeha walayahya
then he will neither live in it, nor die.Ali Quli Qarai
Neither dying therein nor living.Saheeh International
-
87:14
قَ
دْ أَفْلَحَ مَن ت َزَكَّىٰ ١٤Qad aflaha man tazakka
‘Felicitous is he who purifies himself,Ali Quli Qarai
He has certainly succeeded who purifies himselfSaheeh International
-
87:15
وَذَكَرَ
ٱ سْمَ رَبِّهِۦ فَصَلَّىٰ ١٥Wathakara isma rabbihi fasalla
celebrates the Name of his Lord, and prays.Ali Quli Qarai
And mentions the name of his Lord and prays.Saheeh International
-
87:16
بَلْ تُؤْثِرُونَ
ٱ لْحَيَو ٰ ةَٱ ل دُّنْيَا ١٦Bal tu/thiroona alhayata addunya
But you prefer the life of this world,Ali Quli Qarai
But you prefer the worldly life,Saheeh International
-
87:17
وَ
ٱ لَْٔاخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ ۭو َأَبْ قَىٰٓ ١٧Wal-akhiratu khayrun waabqa
while the Hereafter is better and more lasting.’Ali Quli Qarai
While the Hereafter is better and more enduring.Saheeh International
-
87:18
إِ
نّ َ هَٰ ذَا لَفِىٱ ل صُّحُفِٱ لْأُولَىٰ ١٨Inna hatha lafee assuhufial-oola
This is indeed in the former scriptures,Ali Quli Qarai
Indeed, this is in the former scriptures,Saheeh International
-
87:19
صُحُفِ إِ
بْ رَٰ هِيمَ وَمُوسَىٰ ١٩Suhufi ibraheema wamoosa
the scriptures of Abraham and Moses.Ali Quli Qarai
The scriptures of Abraham and Moses.Saheeh International
