بِسْمِ
-
92:1
وَ
ٱ لَّيْلِ إِذَا يَغْشَىٰ ١Wallayli itha yaghsha
By the night when it envelops,Ali Quli Qarai
By the night when it coversSaheeh International
-
92:2
وَ
ٱ ل نّ َهَارِ إِذَا تَجَلَّىٰ ٢Wannahari itha tajalla
by the day when it brightens,Ali Quli Qarai
And [by] the day when it appearsSaheeh International
-
92:3
وَمَا خَلَقَ
ٱ ل ذَّكَرَ وَٱ لْأُنث َىٰٓ ٣Wama khalaqa aththakarawal-ontha
by Him who created the male and the female:Ali Quli Qarai
And [by] He who created the male and female,Saheeh International
-
92:4
إِ
نّ َ سَعْيَكُمْ لَشَتَّىٰ ٤Inna saAAyakum lashatta
your endeavours are indeed diverse.Ali Quli Qarai
Indeed, your efforts are diverse.Saheeh International
-
92:5
فَأَ
مّ َا مَنْ أَعْطَىٰ وَٱ تَّقَىٰ ٥Faamma man aAAta wattaqa
As for him who gives and is GodwaryAli Quli Qarai
As for he who gives and fears AllāhSaheeh International
-
92:6
وَصَدَّقَ بِ
ٱ لْحُسْنَىٰ ٦Wasaddaqa bilhusna
and confirms the best promise,Ali Quli Qarai
And believes in the best [reward].Saheeh International
-
92:7
فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُ
ۥ لِلْيُسْرَىٰ ٧Fasanuyassiruhu lilyusra
We will surely ease him toward facility.Ali Quli Qarai
We will ease him toward ease.Saheeh International
-
92:8
وَأَ
مّ َا مَنۢ ب َخِلَ وَٱ سْتَغْنَىٰ ٨Waamma man bakhila wastaghna
But as for him, who is stingy and self-complacent,Ali Quli Qarai
But as for he who withholds and considers himself free of needSaheeh International
-
92:9
وَكَذَّبَ بِ
ٱ لْحُسْنَىٰ ٩Wakaththaba bilhusna
and denies the best promise,Ali Quli Qarai
And denies the best [reward],Saheeh International
-
92:10
فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُ
ۥ لِلْعُسْرَىٰ ١٠Fasanuyassiruhu lilAAusra
We will surely ease him toward hardship.Ali Quli Qarai
We will ease him toward difficulty.Saheeh International
-
92:11
وَمَا يُغْنِى عَنْهُ مَالُهُ
ۥٓ إِذَا تَرَدَّىٰٓ ١١Wama yughnee AAanhu maluhu ithataradda
His wealth will not avail him when he perishes.Ali Quli Qarai
And what will his wealth avail him when he falls?Saheeh International
-
92:12
إِ
نّ َ عَلَيْنَا لَلْهُدَىٰ ١٢Inna AAalayna lalhuda
Indeed guidance rests with Us,Ali Quli Qarai
Indeed, [incumbent] upon Us is guidance.Saheeh International
-
92:13
وَإِ
نّ َ لَنَا لَلَْٔاخِرَةَ وَٱ لْأُولَىٰ ١٣Wa-inna lana lal-akhirata wal-oola
and to Us belong the world and the Hereafter.Ali Quli Qarai
And indeed, to us belongs the Hereafter and the first [life].Saheeh International
-
92:14
فَأَ
نذ َرْتُكُمْ نَارً ۭا ت َلَظَّىٰ ١٤Faanthartukum naran talaththa
So I warn you of a blazing fire,Ali Quli Qarai
So I have warned you of a Fire which is blazing.Saheeh International
-
92:15
لَا يَصْلَى
ٰ هَآ إِلَّاٱ لْأَشْقَى ١٥La yaslaha illaal-ashqa
which none shall enter except the most wretched [of persons]Ali Quli Qarai
None will [enter to] burn therein except the most wretched oneSaheeh International
-
92:16
ٱلَّذِى كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّىٰ ١٦
Allathee kaththaba watawalla
—he who impugns [God’s prophets] and turns his back.Ali Quli Qarai
Who had denied and turned away.Saheeh International
-
92:17
وَسَيُجَ
نّ َبُهَاٱ لْأَتْقَى ١٧Wasayujannabuha al-atqa
The Godwary [person] will be spared of thatAli Quli Qarai
But the righteous one will avoid it –Saheeh International
-
92:18
ٱلَّذِى يُؤْتِى مَالَهُ
ۥ يَتَزَكَّىٰ ١٨Allathee yu/tee malahuyatazakka
—he who gives his wealth to purify himselfAli Quli Qarai
[He] who gives [from] his wealth to purify himselfSaheeh International
-
92:19
وَمَا لِأَحَدٍ عِ
ند َهُۥ مِن ن ِّعْمَةٍ ۢت ُجْ زَىٰٓ ١٩Wama li-ahadin AAindahu minniAAmatin tujza
and does not expect any reward from anyone,Ali Quli Qarai
And not [giving] for anyone who has [done him] a favor to be rewarded –Saheeh International
-
92:20
إِلَّا
ٱ بْ تِغَا ٓءَ وَجْ هِ رَبِّهِٱ لْأَعْلَىٰ ٢٠Illa ibtighaa wajhi rabbihial-aAAla
but seek only the pleasure of their Lord, the Most Exalted,Ali Quli Qarai
But only seeking the face [i.e., acceptance] of his Lord, Most High.Saheeh International
-
92:21
وَلَسَوْفَ يَرْضَىٰ ٢١
Walasawfa yarda
and, surely, soon they will be well-pleased.Ali Quli Qarai
And he is going to be satisfied.Saheeh International
